Did u read the convo at all? No one is disputing who spends more money between British and American. Generally, we are saying $200 is a big money anywhere to buy a single textbook.

However, I only commended UK schools for having lecture notes and a better structured library where you can easily loan books on any field. @least am comparing cranfield uni, UK & uni of Missouri, US.

If it's a graduate class, some might assume you already understand basic concepts. Sounds like you have some work to do.
Yeah. It's a mechanical engineering graduate class. I feel so lost in class. No lecture note to start with! And the textbooks are creeping expensive like 50K naira for one book. UK has standard library for bookstore not here!

Am so angry

Is this me or my school or something? This US profs don't know how to teach. They are just rushing and speeding off with calculations without proper explanation of concepts. UK and Naija profs are way better o.

The Uni is University of Missouri. Not an interesting experience

So glossybayor, no stapling of your passport to your DS160!
The embassy staff personally stapled my passport photo to my DS-160 form. So your info is not archaic my good friend. However, the photo was stapled to the bottom side of the form as against the box provided for the photo.

Here is my promised transcript. I was only asked three questions:

VO: Goodmorning

ME: Goodmorning (with a smile)

VO: Can I have your documents

ME: Yeah...Sure! (Passed my passport and DS confirmation page)

VO: And the I-20. (which I did. She took some time to study my I-20 form and then went on to check my details on her computer. Looking at me)
How did you make your choice of school?

ME: I got to know about University of ABC through academic textbook. (she was staring at me and so I fired on). As a Lecturer at the University
of Benin, I use different local and foreign textbooks to facilitate my course. One of the textbooks that stood out is Fluid Power Pumps by
Prof. Noah Manring. The professor is a faculty member at the University of ABC. I got interested in his research and I contacted him. (I noticed a sly smile on face. She looked impressed)

VO: Who is paying for this?

ME: Its a federal government scholarship. I named the agency handling it

VO: Where did you do your master?

ME: Cranfield University, United kingdom.

VO: Your visa is approved. Get your visa with the instruction from this document (gave me a white sheet).

another case of comprehension gone sour

Nobody has insinuated or claimed the thread is false relax and gather your thoughts before you start a line of argument

What the subject matter is against is visa interview sessions not process big difference.

its a little disheartening that you know about all these countries visa forums

what are your real intentions?

look at even the countries you mentioned have you tried to check Uk, France, Russia Australia if they have any of such threads on visa interview prep questions and answers can you help please?
Of course these countries' citizens also fish information online including interview prep and sample questions and answers on visa interviews. Try google! Many of the advanced counties do not have to go through the rigour of visa interview for them to be granted permission to many foreign countries. Many have no-visa restriction to visit other country. Perhaps why they won't be opening such thread as frequent as those countries I have mentioned.

However, they also get to peep into sample statement of purpose in order to get into ivy leagues. In fact they use such online samples more than we do. What is the difference?

Copying from someone's interview would be bad if you don't have your specific reasons for traveling. Most likely, the VO is able to sense lies and haphazard answers and deny such persons. In essence, I don't want you to condemn these guides and true interview samples. This ain't fraud except you have clandestine motives for traveling.

Please don't be judgmental!

No doubt bro it SURE has!!!

if you have true intentions to study sit down research your school upgrade yourself ( tests, job, finances) research your course of study have a short, mid and long term plan.

You sound like a very genuine applicant dont you believe if you do the above and you have good intentions you can succeed and people will rather be begging you and you set a pace.

An age long tradition is not necessarily right and justifiable.

The only confidence boost you need is GENUINE INTENTIONS and RIGHT RESEARCHES! not peoples visa interview questions

I amnt in anyway ruining anything as you implied i will continue to air my views when i have the TIME and voluntarily.

Just taking a bull by the horn and discussing a matter nobody wants to hear just like my political mentor DT grin

It is a public forum you air yours i air mine no gagging with respect
You are not entirely correct. The only point I buy from you is that no one should be forced to drop transcript here. It should be on individual's volition. But then again, what moves this thread is the interview transcripts where people are able to learn from successful visa applicants and take corrections on unsuccessful ones.

The act is not fraudulent. It happens in virtually every country- china, indian, pakistan etc have forum thread on US. People want to have fair knowledge of what the interview process is and apply it to their owe unique cases. Who told you anyone comes here to cram? Who is that dumb?

Wait, if the LAGOS and Abuja NIV who are happy to be here do not call this thread fraud, why would u? You are such a kill joy.

This is totally false! The Land Wind brand has no links to the Range Rover marquee in any shape or form aside from this blatant copy cat vehicle.

Don't defend what you don't know.
Your statement is not totally true too. The the chinese companies that joined to make LAND WIND each had individual partnership with FORD(the maker of Land & Range Rovers) before TATA acquired ford.

So there is expertise link somewhere. They at least know how the vehicles in their fleet operate.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Between A Multi National And Lecturing Job by Mayflowa(m): 12:24pm On Nov 25, 2015
It is easier to leave a multinational job to academics than the reverse. The benefit of consulting comes mostly from job experience and contacts. I am a senior academics too but I will advise he goes to experience his discipline in the real world first before turning into academics. That way, he would be able to impart knowledge, consult and earn more.

The easiest gateway to academics is PhD certificate. This he can acquire alongside his multinational job on weekends or online. So the lecturing job is waiting for him if you planned well. However, some institutions will offer him leave of absence up to five years without pay if he applies to the Vice Chancellor that he is going for a job training and would be coming back to apply the knowledge gained for research and academics. He should check with the labour and training office division in his school for advice. He shouldn't present it like a permanent job anyway. That way, he could come back if he became tired of the multinational job.

For those of us having issues with the 28 days minimum balance thingy, confirmed with an agent that you can use your parent's (mother or father's) bank account statement provided the said sum has been in the account for a minimum of 28 days. This can be confirmed in the UK visa guidelines.

On that note, you'd require a consent letter from either your mum or dad (depending on the account you choose to use) stating and confirming that he/she is your dad or mum and that he/she has given his/her consent to use the account for the purpose of your study in the UK. Also note that u'll show your birth certificate as evidence that the said person is your mum or dad.

I hope this helps.
Yeah. Anyway the best way out would be that the diFference in sum from the awarded $30000 should be paid directly as tuition fees to the school you are going. This would be shown in your new CAS letter.

All you need to do is to present your NDDC and CAS letters at the embassy. No need for bank account statement at all. When NDDC pays your tuition, your sch would remit your paid money back to you.

Please if any1 knows what happens at the briefing and afterwards it will be nice to share. School starts soon and i may not be around after the briefing. And i want to clarify if the briefing means the scholarship is 100% guaranteed.
Thanks.
I am just reluctant to speak but for the effort you have put in to convince people here the genuity of NDDC's SMS. I commend you. Every year, there are handful of people who doubt when the successful messages are sent out by NDDC.

I was a scholar last year. These SMSes are real. In my time and the year preceeding mine, the messages even came with ordinary number. Yours is even more official. The reason for asking you for transcripts and other documents is to help some scholars apply for fresh admissions. Remember many start dates are gone by already. NDDC has agents that can help you secure fast admission into schools that are cheap and farther start date ( the schs have MOU with NDDC). Many of the schools also have jan start date.

In your case, photocopies of your docs are enuf to claim the scholarship letter. Just present proof of visa application to them.

NUEL needs to b fair to you. I don't blame him. Some people just get over-security conscious that it ruin good info sharing. NDDC cannot invite everyone. I hv 3 friends NDDC has invited already.

To be candid, there would be some people that won't get their message but will later win. In my time less than 60% got the msg. I guess that is unlikely name as computer was used to push the SMS as bulk unlike then when someone manually sent the SMS. We did complained about it. Probably why official NDDC platform was used now. Goodluck everyone
