Reserve boost is a whitewash. It is at the expense of external and local debt. Nigeria has acquired more debt than reserve boost in this administration. Only that those debt take more than 30 years to pay. Debt profile has risen more than 40% in this administration

Talking about migration, Israeli migrate the most around the world. They have jewish community, school, everything in almost all of Europe and Americas. I guess they woulsn't want any country to evict them.

The LAPO ought to be a good program but has done more to enrich the owner than the original intention of non-profit organization.

A large part of their funding is grant from international donor who believe they are empowering the poor but loan the cash out at a neck-break interest.

However, hard working traders and farmers still find a place for the loan. It is a laudable project but their lending should be regulated since they are NGO

Was the protest peaceful or not? That is the main question. Trump inauguration day was badly protested! What day can be greater that US president day inauguration? It is all wrong to hush down an opposition voice. They are elected body that has the mandate of the student. They have the right to protest anyday and anytime.

NDDC contacted me during the week asking me to verify if I had recieved payment, I said No.
The next day they asked me to forward my invoice immidately, on or before the 31st of Jan. The school forwarded an invoice to the officer in charge of payment on the 1st of Febuary.

However on the night of the 31st NDDC MD claimed to have cleared all outstanding debt on TV.

So I am guesing they already have the money to pay me.

But as i said before, i was among the 12 UK students that got paid in April last year. Wasn't paid among the current batch. At first I tot it was because they wanted to first settle others outside the initial 12, but now i know its because they didn’t recieve my invoice.

In summary it is very unusual for NDDC to ask for feedback from scholars. The fact they did that shows some seriousness on their part to clear the debt (say by the end of January). I beleive they would have gotten feedback from all those who haven't been paid or are being owed 2nd or 3rd year fee, and will pay them. This should bring the payment process to an end.

I will keep the house updated, however, I think NDDC will release the 2017/2018 list this month and also commence the 2018/2019 application process by month end or early march.

I hope they get to pay another batch of tuition. They have my 3rd invoice after paying for the second invoice this January. The 3rd invoice has long been due since August last year. I think ladybug2 is still being owed too.

Not clearing the 3rd tuition balance has same effect as not paying the 2nd tuition. Students get de-register for as low as $500 here. No service is free.

lol. Are you sure of what you are saying. Treasury bill is sold every other week by Nigeria banks. So why would you be waiting for it? If you have a bank in Nigeria, talk to your account officer to help you invest. The interest isn't that lucrative but it is secured

this is the policy and the law of the current vice chancellor. really they want to turn unilorin to advanced secondary school. why do they have to stop attachment. i guess the current v.c is a chronic mulsim that doesn't know that unilorin is not an islamic university.

This is where students of higher education can be so foolish. It shouldn't be hard for any concerned student to approach a court of law to place an injunction on the VC's order and maintain status quo. Nigeria is a secular country so are Federal Universities. The VC and the legal body of the school must be very foolish to draft out this demand. Sadly, they know students are foolish and do not know their rights

That is a sweeping statement to make. You can only know about yourself. I haven't been paid my second tuition which is long overdue and the consequence is as serious as not paying the first. There are people that haven't receive any payment at all.

I once got admission into this NOUN, I went and did all the necessary registration processes, made all payments... After a week or so, my sister called me and told me about how job applicants at her bank who finished from the school got their CVs kicked aside while considering those to be called for interviews... She said "please don't waste your time, leave that school"

Had to wait 3more years till I got admission in a regular federal university..

But in the real sense sef, the present Nigeria we live in discriminates against all graduates o, I know about 3 first class graduates of Federal Universities who are still jobless, one told me recently that he got a teaching job and was told he would be paid 24k..

Sometimes I am tempted to regret going to University, all the money I've made in this life almost has nothing to do with the fact that I am a graduate, I would have used that time to develop myself further rather wasting it applying and waiting for admission then finally spending 4years doing stupid assignments, tests and exams.

You must not work with your degree. Going to school build your strength, personality, reasoning and leadership and decision skills. That is why graduate can go on to do things to achieve success. It is easier for a graduate to set up a business system than uneducated. I am refering to business organisation not one man business

As an update, she did send me a CBN payment telex for my tuition after I sent her my second tuition invoice.

The telex didn't reflect what sessional tuition was paid nor date. In a way, I cannot dicipher if this telex payment is different from the first one we received. I hope she isn't thinking I am complaining of having received no tuition at all!

This suppose new payment hasn't reflected in my school, (I understand it takes some days anyway) making the matter more confusing!

Have you been in contact with her? Did you receive another tuition payment?
