Can you give a breakdown of how to get from the airport to the train station and from there to Ottawa and from there to town?

There's a train station that takes one from the airport, Pearson YYZ, to the Union Station in Toronto. It's called VIA Rail on something. I would suggest you check it out on YouTube videos to have an idea of the terminal.

You can also check online to see how you can book a train ticket to Ottawa from the Union Station in Toronto. I don't know how you can go around town in Ottawa because I live in the GTA. It's a four hour drive to Ottawa, that's like a distance of Lagos to Port Harcourt.

Reach out for further questions

Good day everyone, please seeing how difficult getting a direct flight to ottawa is, what are the ways one can get there after landing in Toronto? Also must one stay in Airbndb for the 14 days quarantine? Can't it be in a shared apartment with one person?.
Also regarding the test for covid before flying how is it done please, how can one get it and is it really a must? I'm very scared of it!
Your response would be highly appreciated.

Avoid Lufthansa and all that. ET is your best choice at this time of Covid. Find out if they fly to Ottawa or Quebec, or fly to Toronto and take a train ride to Ottawa at the Union Station, it's part of the fun.

There are some though who I believe are honest with their age. What beats me is why a footballer will retire around 34 to 35 considering they have everything to enable them play into their 40s. Unless age is against them, you know one can't cheat nature.

Nb: I wonder why my OP was edited to add a picture that doesn't even strengthen my argument

Even me at 44 play more than 2hours with young guys of 25 years of age every Sunday when I was in Lagos. I enjoy playing with them than even playing with people of my age. Ofcourse, most African players lie about their age.

Mutiu Adepoju and Luiz Figo of Portugal played the fifa under 20, 1989, in Saudi Arabia. Figo went on to continue playing international football more than, say 7 years, after Mutiu had retired. Look at the sets of Mike and Taye Taiwo of 2005 FIFA Under 20 World Cup. Messi and Di Màríà are still playing top flight football, where is our own Mikel and Taye?

Well, it depends sha. I live in Canada too, and I have been here for some time. As a Muslim, my wife as met some wonderful people at the mosque. The difference is that their worship center is not as it is in Nigeria, and I would not advise anyone to make use of churches populated by Nigerians, or own by Nigerians, it doesn't worth it, it is still the same Nigerian mentality, of trying to shame one another based on some vanities, like the cloth you wear to church and things like that.

It is this same reason none of them wanted to speak up on CNN despite the news channel reaching out to a couple of them, until Falz and Aisha Yesufu took up the challenge.

It is the same reason it took some time to get these 2 mentioned protesters (Rinu and Majekodunmi) as the members of the panel. I assure you that they were not the only ones contacted.

Let me not keep you in suspense.

No rational, record processing, data reviewing human can successfully lead a mob of irrational, illogical and unreasonable Nigerians, and not later become the enemy of your own mob.

You agree to anything from their perceived opposition, you are a sell out who has compromised.

You ask critical questions upon review of hard facts and evidence, they term you as evil minded who has joined the oppressors.

Any decision or conclusion that does not feed them the flesh of their enemies, you are a traitor.

Save to say a mob does not believe in any justice except their own, and they will also instill fear in any member of the mob who might want to evolve any critical thought.

Take this to the bank, Rinu and Majekodunmi have by this sane decision to be part of an investigative panel, demystified themselves as members of a mob and will no longer be welcomed by the time this panel is done discharging its duties.

Some have already began laying the foundations of their excommunication, claiming anyone who is part of this panel would be swimming in money when the task is done.

If you are sane enough, avoid any fraternity with an irrational, data rejecting and intelligence hating mob. A mob doesn't want to be calmed or proven to that they reacted based on misinformation or incomplete data.

A mob is always right, so Rinu and Majekodunmi must ensure that only beer parlour resolutions emanate from that panel, as no one really is interested in the truth because unfounded conclusions have long been reached.

Redman44:
Let me make my own case on this matter. You do not have to agree with me on what I am going to say. This is just my take and opinion on this topic smiley smiley smiley.

Most of the food in Canada is processed food. You have the opportunity of eating natural food in Nigeria 85% of the time. Most African meals are very natural and nutritious without any processing input. In Canada, most of the food will be in Cans,Tins and Packets. We don't value what we have in Africa. The western world is a business machine that keeps grinding on a 24 hours basis. This machine needs immigrants to keep it running. Immigrants are the fuel that makes Canada, USA, UK etc run well. There is no doubt about that. Everything in Canada is organized in such a way that the Country benefits from you more than you benefit from the Country. Yes, the system is not perfect in Nigeria and we have a lot of problems. If we can remove the GREED that dwells in a lot of Nigerians, the country will be better for it. Our Parents should take it easy in their quest to 'eat the fruits of their Labour'. They should stop using all sorts of tricks and lies to obtain money from their children sometimes. If we can sort out this problem of an 'Entitlement Mentality' from our society in Nigeria, Nigeria will become one of the best places to live in the world.

If you are in Nigeria, you have the luxury of eating very natural food from all parts of the country. Food prices are different all over the country. You can grow most crops in Nigeria in your home, I'm telling you. Why did people stop having gardens in their home in Nigeria? Western food is not that nutritious and this is why you find Asian Restaurants having a lot of patronage from white people. I have seen family members who are 60 years + in UK,USA etc and they have not achieved much. That plate of Eba and vegetable soup you will eat tonight, do you know how much you will pay for it in Canada? What about the mental illnesses and cancer among the whites and native populations of Canada, Australia etc? If you continue eating this Processed food for a long time, coupled with the weather, you might develop illnesses as time goes on. There are so many Positives and Negatives of living in Canada or in Nigeria cool cool cool cool cool. One thing I know is that Nigeria is a very virgin and untapped land which has a lot of opportunities. There is nothing wrong in emigrating to Canada though. Cheers.

My dear, you're wrong grin

Yes, the opinion is yours and that's your take grin

But let me tell you. Majority of us in Canada, Ontario to be specific, eat rich, natural Nigerian food grin In fact, I hate eba tonight, with okro soup, me and my three years old son grin How I wish I can upload pictures of my agege bread. Even in Toronto, you would find moi-moi elewe grin

In my over one year of living in this beautiful country, I have not eaten all those things you have mentioned up there, perhaps except their fruits, such as strawberry, peach, seedless grapes etc, which are elitist in Nigeria. My children eat Indomie, and I mean Nigerian Indomie. We drink Milo, Nigerian Milo, Peak Milk, Knorr Seasoning Cube, Egusi, Snail and so on and so forth, Only if you know how many Nigerians that are selling all these things

If you know anybody in the town of Milton, ask her if she knows Funke at Farmstead Road, believe me bro/sis, you'll find everything Nigerian there, trust me grin. There's also Sister Elizabeth, and Aunty Nkiru. Anything Nigerian, you'll find them at these places. There's also one Afro=Carribian Store at Steeles Avenue or so, or is it Main Street? I can't remeber wink

Yam o, Ugwu o, Bitter leaf o, Kuli-Kuli, from GidiGrubs, we use it to drink garri, name it, they are all available grin

There's Ola-Ola, Yellow and White Garri, Semovita, GoldenMorn, name it. Even ipekere and plantain chips

So, you're absolutely wrong with what you have posted there.

Ho, sorry, I forget to also add that there are Nigerians selling soups, different kind of soups and Nigerian Jollof in Mississauga and Toronto. I bought a two units of 1-liter bowl of Afang soup, and one of Banga soup from one lady in Toronto. She brought them to me in Milton. There's efo riro if you want, just order online. The Jollof rice we ate at Elizabeth's child naming ceremony was superb. It was prepared by a Nigerian caterer, the popular olopo smiley

By the way, Canada is such a country that cares for her citizens. It's not a country where anyone can just bring any kind of food and dump it there without going through the rigorous test to know if it's good for consumption and won't cause harmful effect in the long run. In other words, they practice preventive medicine. That's just the few I have for you. And before you say "they're expensive" remember we earned in dollars, so we spend in dollars, and government also gives us money back for our spending through tax returns, HST/GST, and through the CCB-Canada Child Benefit grin

So far the endsars has been great, but in light of the dissolution and plan to reform

I just wish we could change our placards to things like
#EndPoliceCheckpoint or #EndPaymentOfBaill these things are some of the main cause of the rot in the police.

In the north you can go through 3states and not encounter a single police checkpoint, but here, you will stand at one checkpoint and see 5 more within a stone throw.
These are some of the reforms that we could point directly at and demand that they be totally dismantled as well

I totally buy your idea but with a slight change. You see, my friend, the checkpoint are necessary as a result of the bad things and bad guys on those roads. However, it is unfortunate that those charged with the security of the road users have now turned out to be the menace on the road.

What is the solution?

The solution, in my view, just like you said, is a total reform of the Police, and this includes a massive reform of their welfare package.

The point I'm making, slightly differently from yours, is that the check points and road blocks, in many instances in the South, are necessary, but the Police personnel have turned to something else other than the initial purpose of setting it up

Well, to be honest, it's your choice. But let me be sincere with you, if you live in Canada, especially as a single person, with tall ambition, bet me, you wont have time for Big Brother whatever. Your focus, especially if you live in Ontario, will be how to make the best use of OSAP, and quickly get an education, I mean the Canadian education that will give you the much desired opportunity to quickly rise in your career. OSAP is Ontario Student Assistant Programm. It pays eligible applicants $28k per annum to study. 20k is grant, 8k is loan. You can only get a maximum of four years in a life time.

Ok, let's say you're not single, you're married, perhaps with kids, like me, depending on your profession, you'll work, minimum eight hours per day. And one bad thing about Canada be say, if dem employ you to just come work and sleep, as in, your job description na to just come work and sleep, you go sleep that sleep, you go tire and even beg say you no do again and offer to resign grin. No time for lackeys bro or sis. What I'm saying is you'll do your job, and the most interesting thing is your pay-day is sacrosanct, bi-weekly, no jupiter can change it.

In other words, hardly will you have time for such frivolities, especially for someone coming from Lagos Nigeria, wey you know how you leave home- owo oni'ru, owo oni'yo grin, na Big Brother go come be your focus The least you could do is watch premiership on weekends or watch netflix on your your phone while transporting to work inside Go-Bus or Go-Train grin. The person currently earns around N1m monthly in Nigeria. Key concern is to be sure that cost of living I the city centre won't leave him with less after relocating

If this person earns around N1m in Nigeria as you claim, and he/she has a masters degree, and the spouse is also educated, and they can both work hard to pass IELTS, I would recommend they look towards Canada. It's a DiY process- Do it Yourself, and the information is out there on this platform.
