AJ101: The program has not held as planned all the while However, it's a promise I made and I intend to keep, because no one forced it on me in the first place. The issue is right now, because of the Covid-19, I am damn busy with this Americans, filing unemployment benefits for them. And because of time difference, and the fact that I actually work on weekends, this has made it an up heal task to make out time. I operate on three different time zones these days: Ontario Canada; Lagos Nigeria; and the Chicago, America, which is about 5hours different. In any case, by God's grace, we shall have it. 4 Likes |

Zendinho: I seldom have the strength to comment on issues on this platform but I can't let go of the outburst at the Government every time something goes wrong in Nigeria, that's like shifting the blame, and not calling a spade what it is, but a farm implement; that we have some wicked and devilish souls amongst us as a nation. I do not think there is or there are anywhere, or country, in the world where every citizen have security personal attached to them, guiding them every where they go, day and night. You see, there is little Government can do in the face of a people that have simple decided to be inhuman and wicked to their fellow humans in their daily thinking and act. No, don't tie it to poverty or the likes, some folks are just simply wicked, and that has nothing to do with security or government. My point is that it is not everything we put at the door step of the Government. Let us look inward at the kind of society we have as presently constituted. I was utterly taking aback when some folks were blaming Government for the actions of Hushpuppy and Magu. They were blaming the President. Really?! |

So, you may want to excuse me for basking in that euphoria, for as long as it last. In any case, I will channel my energy towards making the meeting happen, and it's just a matter of time, so that those who are looking up to it will, at least, gain whatever benefits it brings to the table. 10 Likes |

mbhs139: We just have to praise God for His wonderful creation. While some of you are preparing for work, or to pray, while some are still rolling on their bed, at exactly 5am in Lagos , we are here, in Milton Ontario, are just about getting ready to hit the bed, at 12am, if not for these boys that'll not sleep on their own unless you read them stories . Like I said in my earlier post, quoted above, my timing is now so weird, so so weird! In fact, I had to reschedule my work period from 10am to 6:30pm; Saturday to Wednesday, and that's like 3pm to 11:30pm in Nigeria. And for your information, the heat of the sun at 6:30pm in Ontario can be compared to the heat of the sun in Lagos at 2:30pm on a typical sunny day. And after work, at 6:30pm, it is mandatory I take my two sons for walk at the park, or a bike ride through the trail, till around 9pm. Yes, the day is still very bright at this time because it is winter . And it becomes very dark as early as 4:30pm during winter in Ontario. In some places, it could become deeply dark as early as 3pm. I was actually expecting you guys to ask me what I do with the remaining three days that I don't work, since I work Saturday to Wednesday, for only eight hours, in the comfort of my living room, and I am not involve in the hustling and bustling of chasing danfo and BRT like I used to do in Lagos . Well, your guess is as good as mine. As a typical 9ja boy, so huna expect me to dey sleep for house for three days doing nothing abi? Huna well done o! . My job offer me over time, at an even higher pay during this time. So, I kuku ma login and work myself out , abi? What else will I be doing if I'm not working? After all, na still computer I go dey press, or dey press phone, or watch annoying Nigerian news on ChannelsTV So, make I kuku dey work then... In a nutshell, what I am trying to say is that I will take Sunday off, by God's grace, and we are going to have the planned Zoom meeting. But sha o, make huna know say that's about 80k naira lost of wages in one day o . Anyways, no problem! Na we we! We go do am. I wish you all success in your quest to join us in Canada 29 Likes 2 Shares |

Good morning everyone, it's 11:38am in Milton Ontario, and thank you for having me once again. I know you all would've been wondering about the planned Zoom meeting, in commemoration of my first year anniversary in Canada, which we talked about earlier. Yes! That's correct! I was just about paying for the Zoom session when I, unfortunately, realized that the Admins of this platform banned me from posting, I think that was since the night of Friday, 5th of June, 2020, after I had answered all the questions some people asked me on these platform. It took me so many hours, with great research and links to helpful resources, to answer those questions, starting from 10pm Friday night, till 4am Saturday morning. Only to wake up and couldn't find the post, and I couldn't comment but just read comments. It was so devastating, and I was very sad and disappointed. Perhaps the Admins thought I was doing this for some pecuniary gains . But those who know me here can testify to it that this couldn't have been the case. Well, I would've love to move forward with the plan, but unfortunately I just got a job, after three months of layoff due to Covid-19, working four days in a week, from Saturday to Tuesday, with a US Government Agency, on Unemployment Insurance, as a Desktop Analyst from home. In addition, the time difference Nigeria, Canada and the US, isn't favorable. Lagos is already asleep during my uptime. So, how do we move forward? Well! I really don't know, honestly (heavy sigh from here ) and I really love to DO this Anyway, hmmm, perhaps, I am going to take a day off, may be one Sunday, and we will get it done. To the Admins: I am not doing this for any monetary gain. I just feel like helping others. If someone told me as at December 2018, or in my life time, that I will be speaking or writing from Canada, I'd say the person doesn't know what he or she is saying. And so far so good, I have not regretted a day of being here. Rather, I regret not having been here earlier, when I was in my 20s. I wish I had the powers to open the gate for everyone So, that's the gist. And for those that has been contacting me through in-mail here, I am afraid I can't open that email for just everyone because that's the email for my interact (interact is the platform for sending or receiving money. We exchange money with one another here using our email address or phone number. I don't need your account number, just your email or phone number). Emails here are very private, because it could be compromised and get one into some sort of mess. I greet you all and humble ask for your understanding. 27 Likes 3 Shares |

I will try and see how I can set up a google-hangout meeting, if it works and we will go ahead with that. Particularly since you said it'll take more people. So, let's see how it goes. Triplezero50: Good job triplezero. Let's make it next Sunday, 21st of June 2020, by the grace of God. Meanwhile, hopefully this Saturday, I'll do a Web scrapping of all the messages on my mention as regards this topic and try to answer them. I hope to dedicate the whole of this Saturday to that purpose. In addition, I'll be sharing the link to the proposed zoom meeting this Saturday as well, and the plan I'm planning to subscribe to can only take 100 participants, which I think should be enough. So, let's all look forward to this Saturday and next Sunday by God's grace. Thank you all for having me. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Good morning all. I woke to pray this morning, 4am, and saw a deluge of messages on my email requesting for a private message with me. However, the truth is I'm afraid I can't open up my email for that purpose because it is actually my private email and which I also use for work. So, I'm sorry if I don't respond to your request. In any case, like I said in the previous post, I feel it will be better and more productive if we drop the questions or hypothetical scenerio here so that we can all look at it on D-Day. Besides, if I have the time, or I can dedicate a day to answer some of the questions posted here before the zoom meeting. Meanwhile, as regards the date and time. I think it should be on a Sunday, and I'll leave it to you guys to choose the time, say anytime from 4pm Nigerian time because of those that'll go to church. I mean 4pm to say 7pm wouldn't be a bad time, but it's up to you guys anyway. So, let's suggest a Sunday and a time that'll be beneficial for all and I'll set up the meeting and and share the link here. Thank you all for your understanding. Edited: Please, if the purpose of wanting to reach out to me is to help you send anything from here, kindly be notified that neither WES nor Service Canada are accepting any hard copy paper documents for now until further notice. In fact, I wanted to send a phone to Lagos yesterday at Canada Post and they said no, until further notice 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Hello everyone, Good evening from Milton, Ontario, Canada. I know it's mid-night in Nigeria, 3.06am to be precise, while it is 10.06pm here. Sometimes ago, that was earlier this year, I requested to help any interested persons send their credentials to WES from my end here, and some people responded, and it is my pleasure to have helped out, at my own cost, because I got a feed back from them that WES actually received their credentials and updated their record. Today marks my one year anniversary in Canada, and in my "Canniversary" as we use to call it, I'm ruminating on the idea of doing a Webinar, through Zoom, for a question and answer sessions for any interested member of this forum. I'm looking at doing a two hour session: the first one hour will be done in the comfort of my house, while in the second and final part, I will take you round some facilities, virtually, in my area, to wet your apatite and further increase your interest and thus motivate you to put in more effort. I mean, for whatever difficulty you may be going through at this point in time, I want to encourage you not to give up. For you to have gotten to this stage, I know you have gone so far, and backing out at this time is a waste of time, effort and resources. Please believe me that you'll not regret all these wahala at the end of the day if it eventually materialize. For instance, look at me, the last time I went to work, because of Covid-19, was on April 3rd. I am safely in my house, using the advantage to take online courses because the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) of CAD2,230 comes in every month, which is enough for me to pay my rent and phone bills, and still send money to family and friends in Lagos My children, two boys, 5 and 3 years old, collects CAD1,200 monthly for their Child Care Benefit, and it will be increased in July; my wife, who is a student receives CAD2,000 every month because of Corona, and she's on a CAD28,000 per session OSAP loans and grant- 8k is loan and 20k is grant, for two sessions, making 56k dollars. Details of how to go about this will be shared during the session. So, kindly signify if you're interested and drop the likely questions you may have in mind so that I can research about it before time. Whatever questions, ranging from jobs, housing, child care benefit, schooling, getting loans and grant for goin to school and life in Ontario generally. However, there's a CAVEAT! No one, I repeat, no one can tell you about Canada! They can only tell you about the Province, and at best the Region they have lived in or that they are living in. Canada is nine times bigger than Nigeria, if not bigger than the whole of West Africa. Even Ontario where I live is 1.96 times bigger than Nigeria. In my one year sojourn in this land, I only know of and have lived in Mississauga and Milton, and have worked in Toronto. I've been to Oakville once, which is just behind Milton, 15min drive, when I don't have business there. Milton is in the Halton Region, that is the equivalent of our own Local Government, and it has the following towns: Burlington, Milton, Oakville, and Halton Hills. Trust me, I've been to only Oakville, and it was just the police station. You know, discussing Canada in its entirety will be like someone who lives in Sabo-Yaba, works on the Island in his short stay in Nigeria, has never been to Badagry, and he's now talking of Ghana . In any case, I may be able to give some insights about Ontario, perhaps that could help other folks looking at other Province. So, that's the deal. 81 Likes 20 Shares |
