Many of us here thought that the likes of seasoned economists like Pat Utomi and Kalu Idika Kalu will form part of his kitchen cabinet and the nucleus of his economic strategy, but he was too sentimental in filling his cabinet with Northerners and considered them perhaps as citizens of 5% regions.

Kemi Adeosun is still studying from economics textbooks, the type we read for WAEC and presenting same in British accented English, in reality she is still a neophyte in international economic affairs, although I feel she is learning very fast on the job; but we actually didn't need a learner in times like this unfortunately and a lot of damage has been done to the economy already.
Going by your first few sentences, you sound more like an intelligent person but quite unfortunately you're not. Perhaps you may be. May be you're just being clannish and sentimental

FamilyRe: 6 ways women can avoid domestic violence. by mbhs139(m): 5:58pm On May 09, 2016
Wealthgang:
People who usually rant "never lay hands on a woman no matter what" are those who end up doing it. Its not just by ranting it, u have to understand d real principle behind that statement. I know this from experience.

So why should u generally not lay hands on a woman? Simple! Cos women are generally perceived as weaker (physically) than men, hence are defenseless.
In order words, d real quip should be "never lay hands on a defenseless person (male or female)" instead of "never lay hands on a woman". The latter is by no means a moral absolute.

Saying that it is never justifiable under any circumstance whatsoever, to "lay hands on a woman" is d stupidest thing anyone can say.
As a martial arts student, I wouldn't fight with a lady (non-martial arts) any more than I wouldn't fight a 12yr-old boy or a disabled person. They're defenseless.

In d case where a lady is not defenseless n tries anything physical with u, by all means defend urself.
If d lady is defenseless but provokes u, by all means control urself no matter what.
If she's defenseless but still attacks u, by all means give her a dirty slap. It shud end dere, punches n kicks n headbutts not allowed.

I remember an incident that happnd in UBA bank uniport (which is usually crowded). A girl was shouting n cursing in d bank over her 5k which was wrongly deducted n d staff were trying 2 calm her down. Then a boy sitting elsewhere told her 2 calm down, that d money was just 5k na and would be refunded. This didn't go well with d gal cos b4 we knew it, she walked up to 2 boy & slapped him hard. As if that wasn't enough, she took off her slippers n slapped d boy again with it, to d dismay of evry1. She wanted 2 hit him again b4 a guy drew her away. D customers inside d bank were so angry n some were prompting d boy 2 give d gal a dirty slap n were swearing d gal would have died if it was them. The boy didn't react but just walkd outside.

What happnd afta, I dnt know.

If u were in his shoes, what wud u do?
If it was me, I won't hesitate 2 slap her back n front. Y have d guts 2 slap me in public? "Never lay hands on a woman" my ass. Wud also do same if it was a guy.
Some women don't hesitate 2 slap n attack men because they have that mentality an absolute law is guiding dem n they kw how 2 cry a river when a finger touches them. Bullshit!

As for wife-beating, men who do dat are goats n I wonder how women still go ahead 2 marry such men. One big cause of it is poverty n blockheadedness. U hardly c wealthy/enlightnd pple pummeling their wives.
Where I blame women 4 it is y they allow themselvs 2 be beaten continuously all in d name of luv or i-want-to-save-my-marriage
I quite agree with your submission, and I will give you one instance that happened during this fuel shortage crisis.

You know, we have been on the que at the station for only God knows how long. Only for this lady to come from no where to jump the qeue (keep wondering how that is possible, ... but it's real grin) with the excuse that she was just coming from the hospital.

To cut the story short, I insisted that she can't buy before me, I wasn't ready to yield my turn for her, so do other people. So, after I bought mine, the lady just came to me by the side of the car and dealt me a dirty slap, calling me all kind of names.

As I made to get down to deal with, she just grabbed the collar of my shirt and went down, slumped. Before you know it, people, Lagos lookers, don rush come... "wetin you do her..." is the shout. Since then, I avoid them and their wahala like plaque ... even my wife, I just dey look her when she starts her ...

Don't be amazed, that's Why they are called Zombies.
Grow up boy. This isn't a thread to throw tantrums. It's time to tell ourselves the real truth, devoid of party affiliations. Keep your contribution clean and creative. Look your State Government in the eye and tell them the stark truth. We ain't gonna keep on depending on Abuja for the rest of our live. Osun, where I come from, ain't doing good, I know, and I'm not gonna hold Abuja responsible for that.

My Contribution

I'd suggest that the FG should not give the States any respite. Let the States not pay salaries for months. By the time hungry catch the civil servants, they will stand up to their governor and ask him what they have been doing with their money. Is the Accountant General of each States not part of the Civil Service force? Is he not aware of the profligacy of the Govt. officials? I tell you, all these Governors can't perpetrate all these nefarious activities without the knowledge of some privilege Civil Servants, can't they stand for what is right in their State? It is until when they are not paid Salaries before we will start hearing their voice.

Take the OSOPADEC case for instance, the Itsekiris stood up to the State Assembly when they discovered that OSOPADEC, as organisation for the development of the Niger-Delta Area, had about N600m as security vote in their budget. So, the Civil Service of each States, through their Union, need to be mindful of what their respective Governors does with their common wealth.

If the Airforce one is used at any point in time by the sitting president, his personal campaign funds are used to offset the bill.

So simple and clear, Obama's use of Airforce One during his 2nd term campaign is classified as " Unofficial use"

Only In Nigeria will the Head of Airforce move his car from one point to another for a few days jamboree"

My understanding that official privilege is reserved solely for the President and Vice President

Who cares if he's bn the best Chief of Staff, that's is duty, that's what he owes the nation. He will be decorated and celebrated at the very right time and moment . simple
That's where most of you are getting it wrong. It isn't his personal car for crying out loud, it is the official car of the CAS. Besides, I don't even think the man knows or cares how the car gets there. All he cares about is for him to get there and get a car to use. By the way, can any other organisation beat the millitary when it comes to logistics and planning? No!

Talking about the USA and Airforce 1 ,that's a different ball game entirely, the analogy does not count.

At the bold part, that's not entirely correct. What you see there is the official car of the CAS, not his personal car. Now, be that as it may, I don't really think the Millitary are going to change their operational procedure simply because you and I discuss its propriety or not on the social media o! We had better leave them to do their thing o, even is as much as I, personally, see nothing wrong in using using the Nigerian Airforce Aircraft to air lift the Nigerian Chief of Airstaff's official car.

At others pace to do so...no one catches late comer in the hustle of Life
I totally agree with you. It is this craze to own a house or becomes landlord, to oppress or the craze to let the world knows that we have arrived the gives some folks the incentives to be corrupt. In saner climes, I don't think being your own landlord is the in thing, rather, having a good abode, with the necessary facilities holds sway. What they do is pay mortgage over a period of time from your monthly income and the flat becomes yours.

I once read in Ovation magazine, way back then, that the house being occupied by Princess Diana, on Piccadilly St., London, is owned by a Nigerian, and the Queen pays the rent. In order words, even the Queen of England is a tenant.

Building a house, for me personally, is not a priority. There're other things one can invest in other than real estate. I just want to own a flat, 3bedroom Max, where me and my family will live comfortably.

Go to Unilag and see how stressed majority of her workforce are. Most of them come from ikorodu, some as far as Agbowa, claiming ikorodu, just because of " ehn, I'm living in my house..." Some of them are down with stroke. A lady in my office that lives in ikorodu leaves nothing later than 4:30am, all because of cheaper rent. And she leaves the office by 2 or 3 pm sometimes and gets home by 6 or 7.

They even airlifted bike oh gawd, where did we go wrong as Nigerians? Do u know how much aviation fuel cost? I insist this man be investigated
You see my friend, you got it wrong. Yes, they can ride on the road, but you can't compare the quantity and cost of fuel for the three automobiles (bike, air police car, and the CAS car) to what would be consumed by the big bird. Besides, taking all three for a road ride, like you suggested, will require three men doing the job of one man compared to the big bird, in close to 8 hours, depending on their destination, lagos or abuja, which would, ordinarily, take the plane less than no time. So, the plane is cheaper, faster, safer, and consumers less man power. By the way, that plane, the big bird, is actually manufactured to transport heavy military hardware. And I suppose that's the reason it was acquired in the first place. So, the air force is using it for its the intended use.

Its a debate.
