I am just wondering if nkwocha is a lot more brilliant passing the ball than putting it behind goal , some players are like that.

But generally nkwocha is a very good player

folahann:
Well i don't think it will be easy but this should help a little bit: Assign a death penalty to any corruption case.
I'm sure that will leave a higher percentage of Nigerians dead but all we want is to flush away corruption wink
Is the issue at stake lack of stringent laws or lack of will power on the part of the corrupt elite to implement laws huh

How will you guarantee that leaders who cant send their friends to jail will send them to deathhuh??

Or will we end up enacting death penalty that will only be implemented to those who are not connected to the corridors of powerhuh

We need a reality check on what works and a pragmatic approach to fight corruption.
PoliticsRe: Juju Scam: Yar’adua Orders Probe Of Nddc Boss by McKren(m): 5:59pm On Aug 08, 2008
The Nigerian media is getting obsessed with the line

. . . . . . . . . . .    "Yar'adua orders   . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  "

this it is becoming disturbing, especially at a time when no one knows who runs Nigeria.

I honestly and genuinely do not believe John Obi Mikel would add anything new to this Dream Team.

In fact with the performance I saw today, I will be hopeful when we play against big teams like Brazil and Argentina
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Wanted For "Treason"! by McKren(m): 10:06pm On Aug 07, 2008
All I can say is that the average Nigerian is not any less disillusion than the Niger-Delta youth, the only difference is that the folks in the Niger-Delta at the moment have a tool to express their disillussion.

All this drama going on in Nigeria can only breed terrorism. We are simply headed for destruction

By the way, I did not know that having evidence on how election was rigged amounts to treason.   grin grin grin grin grin

Ogbuke played well when he came in.

I am proud of our team, they will hold their own against anybody
PoliticsRe: Wild Wild Musa --> Yaradua by McKren(m): 2:45pm On Aug 06, 2008
Yaradua was worth hundreds of millions not because he was a legitimate business man, he inherited money from his dead elder who like him was a public servant

So for what it is worth he inherited stolen Nigeria's money and declaring it to code of conduct bureau does not take away the fact that its stolen Nigeria's money
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by McKren(m): 2:29pm On Aug 06, 2008
Guys look

Yar'adua can run his administration as he so pleases, history will judge him as will leave some day.

But let no one buy this due process and rule of law scam sold by the President and his AGF

There is a thing called executive orders and Presidential powers, by virtue of this what the President says is law. If what the President said was unacceptable it was up to the then Senate to debate it and overrule him.  If Ribadu was Promoted by Executive order and that promotion was supported by the then IGP then Ribadu was duely promoted.

He should only be demoted on the grounds of misconduct, a charge which no one can lay against him.

Nigerians need to wake up!!!!!!!!!!  why is no one wondering why the same Government that nominated him for Senior officers course somehow no longer thinks he is even a senior officerhuhhuh??

Our current President is simply ignoring what he should do as President and engaging in trivial matters. There are better ways to describe these shenanigans but respect for due process and rule of law is not one of them.

I dont pity for Ribadu, he did what was right and will remain the people's hero

I pity for the other 139 others who were taken down merely because some people wanted to take down Ribadu.

President Yar'adua has no dignity.

Nigeria has no vibrant opposition party

What more does the opposition need to win the next election in Nigeriahuh??

For those who don't believe Saharareporters, all their reports on EFCC matters have been 100% correct and most times predicted before time and yet they still come to past.

PoliticsRe: Corruption In Nigeria - What Are Your Suggested Solutions by McKren(m): 7:36pm On Jul 29, 2008
How times have we attempted to revise the constitution and how many has workedhuh?

Why will a constitution revision that sees a death penalty for embezzlers workhuh a group of people who are arguably the most powerful and who will have more influence on any constitution review.

BigB1 this topic is too serious to come up with trivial suggestions as death penalty because u know in your hearts that such proposal will not see the light of day.

PoliticsRe: Corruption In Nigeria - What Are Your Suggested Solutions by McKren(m): 7:05pm On Jul 29, 2008
Overseas banks are using funds looted by corrupt politicians to consilidate their banks and provide soft loans for their people. These looted money by one means or the other is better off in our economy than outside. Its better to draw a line, get those who have already looted to bring back their money and skills to invest their money in our economy and honestly protect it.

But then make sure people currently in office find it a lot more difficult to steal.

The fundamental objective of my suggestion is so that we will have a framework to tackle corruption that will stand the test of time. It may not yield fruits immediately but it will put us on the right direction and provide an opportunity for everyone to move on.

with the kind of fight against corruption we have right now, we will have every administration refighting the fights of the last administration. we will keep running in circles and nothing will work.
PoliticsRe: Where Is Soludo's Banks Reform? by McKren(m): 5:24pm On Jul 29, 2008
Lucabrasi

We are saying the same thing

Banks in Manchester can give u loan without collateral or even credit card because they can trace and profile you through a credit scoring system. They can verify the information about the address you give against what is held on National record.

Reason being because their is a National record, there is an identity system.
Why don't we have an identity or adress system in Nigeriahuh?? because NPC commission and Internal Affairs are not living to this promise. They are not even starting from somewhere

Banks are not charity organisations, they can't give loans to people they don't know or they can't trace.
PoliticsRe: Corruption In Nigeria - What Are Your Suggested Solutions by McKren(m): 5:11pm On Jul 29, 2008
My solution on this day the 29th of July 2008
(needs a very honest implementation by Mr President)

1. Grant Amnesty to any ex-public office holder (before 1st August 2008) currently facing corruption charges on the agreement that they will repratriate all of their funds back to Nigeria to invest in one sector of the economy. Either Electricity generation or sports.
If it is at anytime found that you have resources hidden abroad, you loose your amnesty and will face trial for both treason and corruption with a fine as much as 3/5 of your net worth.

2. Work closely with NASS to pass FOI bill and make it a requirement that all government programmes and project plans (at State and LGA level) are published with adequate monitoring plans, showing clear quaterly milestones so that members of the public can on their own inspect projects.

3. Reveiw the immunity clause, shield Governors and President from prosecution by members of the public but Governors will not be shielded from prosecutions by Government institutions like Police, EFCC, ICPC, State Prosecutors, Attorney General of Federation.

4. Make the office of AGF independent of Presidency.

5. Ensure that any public officer with glaring question of corruption is investigated and tried immediately by the appropriate agency.
PoliticsRe: To Hell With Your Oil, North Tells South by McKren(m): 4:38pm On Jul 29, 2008
I do agree that Babangida Aliyu is one of the Brightest Governors of this generation

I do believe we are coming nearer the truth, States should be allowed to manage their own resources and pay taxes to the central government and you will see how ingenuity will spring from no where.

Every part of the country is blessed, but over dependence on oil is simply blinding us to this reality
PoliticsRe: Where Is Soludo's Banks Reform? by McKren(m): 4:19pm On Jul 29, 2008
I dont think any sane Nigerian regrets having his money in the bank and knowing that he can practically go to sleep because the bank can not fail or disappear into tin air.

agreed, so why Soludo embark on something which needs basic infrastructure to successed?
With all due respect I am shocked to hear someone criticizing the CBN governor for even making an attempt.
I guess the alternative would have been to sit back and do nothing because the National planning minister and Internal affairs minister have refused to do their job. I dont think it is Soludo's fault that these guys have not got the drive he has got.

Countries who succeeded did so by running government as a closed system, and most things depends on others to succeed. As a country with so much problems to solve we should exert our energy calling up on those doing nothing to better our lives not tearing down those who are attempting to make a difference.
PoliticsRe: Where Is Soludo's Banks Reform? by McKren(m): 3:24pm On Jul 29, 2008
what is your alternative solutionhuh??

Its not enough to criticize without offering an alternate solution.

Consolidation is a good thing, we can work harder to make sure it leaves its true intentions which include providing low cost loans to SMEs and banking security.

We also must remember that this policy can not work alone and needs some national identity system to succeed. Others who should put their heads together to make this policy work are not doing that e.g. Nigeria's planning minister has spent more time dragging down the CBN governor than working to help this policy work for all Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Slams Northern Leaders Over Poverty by McKren(m): 1:04pm On Jul 23, 2008
Guys this is not about anybody being afriad of anybody

Soludo has been under attack from all those who want to oust him by all means merely because he is doing his job right. Now that they are having difficulties beating him down professionally, they have resolved to misconstrue what Soludo said that was rather an honest economic statement to have ethinic connotations.

And unfortunately people are simply fanning the flames that makes this cladenstine objective worthwhile. The current administration is a northern administration. Pitting Soludo against the North might just be very effective at removing him from office, this is what this is all about.

Debosky

I dont know for sure, but knowing that Atiku Abubakar is a self proclaimed loyalist of Shehu Yar'adua it should not be suprising if ownership of intel is confused between Atiku and the Yar'aduas.

That they both have interests in this company may not be so far from the truth.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Slams Northern Leaders Over Poverty by McKren(m): 9:06pm On Jul 22, 2008
Soludo was simply quoted out of context

He said the troubling rate of poverty is more evident in the North, he was never trying to be bold or to antagonise any leaders or elites whether North or South.

@McKren, I agree that this needs to be dealt with now. I do feel that these people protesting may serve to force the administration to ensure it handles the situation in a humane manner, knowing that there are Nigerians out there watching, from the other side. We do not want a case where we have a human rights disaster in the future either.
I hope he deals with it in humane manner , but lets also remember that it will take a lot more than just talks to discourage the criminal elements from plying their trade. It will be a miracle if it does not involve a military crackdown.
