PoliticsRe: Tinapa MD Earned Four Million Naira Monthly Wage by McKren(m): 5:35pm On Jun 23, 2007
Leadership are working in Tandem with TheNews Magazine to smear Donald Duke, the reason behind this is unknown but their desperation and reporting history on Duke in the past 2 months show that their accusations are basesless.

On the 30/5/2007, TheNews reported that "Donald Duke outsmarts EFCC"
http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=16325
When people querried why no other newspaper reported this except TheNews, 2 days latter leadership went on to report the same news, It is on record that EFCC have not invited nor interrogated Donald Duke.

Infact a report in which Duke denied having anything to do with EFCC is proudly published on EFCC page.
http://www.efccnigeria.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1434&Itemid=2

The campaign of calumny did not stop at that, TheNews in the past 2 months have reported all sorts of News about Donald Duke. From how her prefered to invite prostitutes to the opening of Tinapa instead of NBA calabar chapter, to how he destroys Churches in calabar, to how Liyel Imoke hired the services of prayer warriors to cleanse government house, to how the same Donald Duke is choosing Liyel Imoke's cabinet, to how Donald Duke looted calabar to the tune of N75b. (See the links below)

Leadership has also on their own continued their own attack with the latest dated 23 June below.
http://www.leadershipnigeria.com/product_info.php?products_id=7636&osCsid=29d1336154573246e51a5de533515adc

What is very worrying and interesting too is that, while they are busy attacking Donald Duke, it is on record that the Proprietor of TheNews Governor Tinubu who happens to have links to Leadership. The Good man of Lagos as reported by theNews (see below)
http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=2873

is under EFCC investigation, he has visited EFCC twice since May 29, TheNews will never report it.

What is their interest in Calabar, Calabar is not geographically a neighbouring Sate to Lagos. Why are they more concerned about Calabar than neighbouring States like Ondo.
The Spin doctors should find work to do and leave Nigeria's finest politician (Donald Duke) of this generation alone.

We appreciate your concern, but what I can not understand is why you guys are worried that we dont want to struggle for your Presidency anymore huh Why cant you guys just let us be?
PoliticsRe: Fg Bows To Labour Demands, Reduces Fuel Price, Vat by McKren(m): 12:22pm On Jun 22, 2007
truth Celemel

Why are we even exporting crude, why cant the Nigerian government compel the multinational companies to refine its oil in Nigeria.huhhuh

If they do there will be more jobs.
PoliticsRe: Fg Bows To Labour Demands, Reduces Fuel Price, Vat by McKren(m): 12:08pm On Jun 22, 2007
If there is anything NLC should push for, it is why Nigeria can not build its own refineries.

To me N50 or N100 per litre simply dont make sense because filling stations wont stick to them.

Why cant we refine our own fuel so that filling stations will be allowed to fix there own price relative to their profit margin.
PoliticsRe: From Number Three To What? by McKren(m): 11:52am On Jun 22, 2007
Thanks Chriskow you can not be more correct than that.

The Igbos should simply take the back seat in National Politics and spend more time developing our land. See the vigour which with Donald Duke governed his people? that is what I expect of the South East governors. Simple.

Presidency will come naturally at the appointed time and no one will stop it when the time comes.
PoliticsRe: Musa, No Puppet After All! by McKren(m): 10:06am On Jun 22, 2007
I don't agree he broke the law, that is my point. I need you to prove he broke the law.

You just dont wake up from the sleep and call anything you like illegality. Prove it or change your choice of language.
PoliticsRe: From Number Three To What? by McKren(m): 2:43am On Jun 22, 2007
Debosky

If you think you are impressing anyone by coming to the internet to criticise the Igbos which you are one, I like to inform you that you are not.

How many Northerners contested the last PDP primarieshuh? Yaradua, Gusau, Jerry Gana, Marwa, Abdulahi Adamu, Maman Kontagora, Sara Jubril etc Why did the so called Northern unity not pacify others to step down for one person. Yaradua was not even a product of Nothern delibration or concensus so what are you talking about.

Ok go try uniting the Sons and Daughters of South East since that is what you think is responsible for our not producing the President. My friend that is just cheap diversion from the real issues, take it or leave it.
PoliticsRe: Musa, No Puppet After All! by McKren(m): 2:31am On Jun 22, 2007
The last time I checked NNPC and DPR were still govt agencies and not yet independent or autonomous, besides that I do not remember the National assembly having to approve previous fuel increases. So it will do my heart a great pleasure if you could site what section of the constitution that supports your argument.

While I do understand your reservations, calling it illegal is a different thing.
PoliticsRe: Behold The New Man Of Abia In Chains by McKren(m): 7:43pm On Jun 21, 2007
Instead of people to criticize the kind of politics obtainable in our country people are busy talking trash.

God knows what you guys mean by "Igbo kwenu and ebano"

Most Nigerian governors are in chains, its just that the man in Abia was unfortunate to have his own pics seen. A lot of Governors did a lot to secure their positions otherwise how do you explain Alao Akala going to postrate for Adedibu during his innauguration. The last time I checked Adedibu is not the Chief Judge of Oyo State nor is he the Oba.
That is the Oyo kind of chains.

How about Celestine Omehia having to consult Soboma George (Militant) before he could have a Gauranted handover instead of consulting the State Commisioner of police. He consulted Soboma to help prevent the threat from Prince Igodo instead of police.
That is the rivers kindof chains.

People must discourage all this kind of dirty politics not associating a different connotation to it.
PoliticsRe: Super! While others lobby for it, Agbakoba Shuns Ministerial Job by McKren(m): 7:00pm On Jun 21, 2007
I have never been a fan of Agbakoba, but I did remember him criticize Bayo Ojo for breaking NBA rules so God knows why anyone will expect him to break the same rules.

Besides that the duty of Atorney General is to legally defend FG, if he picks up this position and had to defend this governments legitimacy. How would he do that when NBA under his leadership protested the election that brought this same government to power.

Agbakoba deserves commendation for being principled.
PoliticsRe: How Could This New Administration Prevent Government Officials From Being Corrupt? by McKren(m): 4:56pm On Jun 21, 2007
Good you gave him 100% while he was chasing 419 scammers, oil bunkerers, but when he chased the biggest thieves (politicians) in our society it became a problem and your support dwindled. You can not be more honest than that.

EFCC is Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The greatest perpetrators of economic and financial fraud in our country are politicians, how do you tackle fraud by politicians without being seen as political. What is even the future of the anti-corruption war if the very thieves who have perpetrated the worst economic fraud are allowed to govern us and make policies that define our lives.

Ribadu was being pre-emptive and should have no regrets for his actions, it is just 3weeks into this regime and I can only wish Yaradua luck if he thinks Ribadu should be demobilised. Time will tell.

why don't u comment on their short term plans i.e expecting to and actually declaring billions of naira in profit in a matter of months

Again i ask how many had nitel phones? even if they had complained what percentage of the population was it?

In any case, my post was in response to someone else's so please don't play it out of context. cheers!!
From a bussiness point of view, any bussiness man investing in Nigeria will put the volatility of the Nigerian market into question.
You can not expect any person to invest his money on a long term plan when the future of his bussiness is not guaranteed, in fact foreign investors believe the political future of the country is not even guaranteed. So people can only invest their money if they are sure of short term profit.
Bussiness is not a Charity organisation.
PoliticsRe: Fg Bows To Labour Demands, Reduces Fuel Price, Vat by McKren(m): 4:35pm On Jun 21, 2007
But honestly what is the very essence of 65, 70 or 75 Naira if the filling stations dont stick to them.
The same people launching strikes and campaign are likely to pay 150 Naira for the same product, are we just not looking for unsustainable short term solutions to our problemshuhhuh

In my honest opinion if Government can build refineries all arround Nigeria and ensure that we are able to refine all the oil we use, I will not mind N100 for s start knowing that with time owing to competition the price will reduce.
PoliticsRe: How Could This New Administration Prevent Government Officials From Being Corrupt? by McKren(m): 4:04pm On Jun 21, 2007
No matter how you try to disguise the truth, it reverberates when you type.

Your annoyance with Ribadu is clear and simple, "why did he venture to prosecute one of Nigeria's biggest thief in history".

PoliticsRe: Oil Discovered In Ghana by McKren(m): 1:31am On Jun 21, 2007
I-man:
I don't understand why some people view this as a competitive threat to Nigeria.Global oil demand will still outpace supply for the coming years. The oil find,600 million barrels,is not particularly significant. Its good news for Ghana as it reduces their import bill and good news for the regional economy.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6764549.stm
Sorry but the world is going green and I hope it does, it is inevitable that Nuclear energy will replace oil. So those who have oil should rather wake up.
PoliticsRe: Oil Discovered In Ghana by McKren(m): 1:22am On Jun 21, 2007
it is true and am happy about it, the awareness of owning oil has done us more harm than good.

With competitition from our neighbours we will simply diversify if we must survive, besides that if Ghana is able to manage her resources like Bostawana and South Africa. We will understand that we are not so special afterall and that might get our leaders challenged.

McKren, very good point.

Could you please identify one single positive outcome of this so so called "Nigerian antigraft war"
So far, could you identify one single governor under arrest?

It was just a mere game for rookies, I was just fortunate to see a little bit faster than you guys.

I was against it and I will do it again and again. It's not that easy to take me for a ride and I just don't dance to any music either.
Check out all my comments/ topics, I've predicted 89% of all the latest developments. (starting from Ehindero latest drama, Stopping Atiku from contesting, Negotiating with the Governors, Yar'Adua as the new president, the fall of EFCC and rise of ICPC etc).

Please check and see!
Do not place the validity or efficiency of the war on corruption by EFCC on post May 29 activities , because the present soft pedal is down to lack of will on the part of Yaradua who thinks he has crisis of legitimacy and thus too shy to make though decisions yet.

I will rather be patient until after the end of election tribunals to work out if Yaradua has got balls or if he is just shying away. I will always say it, this Government should not try too hard to seek popularity or be seen as listening.

Yes the activities of EFCC could be made more preventive but you can not write off their previous work as they achieved a lot.

I keep on saying it and hold my position, Ribadu will remain my hero until someone is able to point at one innocent person that he prosecuted.
