mafa4na: Good day to all the gurus in the house, trust you guys are doing GREAT. plsssssss i have a very important quesstion that needs an URGENT answer. I applied for my student visa last week in march, cant remember the precise date, i got a mail two wks ago from the visa office requesting for additional docs, which should be received at their office d nxt day, i have sent all the docs required and they acknowledged my mail, the prob now is dat yesterday i tried linking my paper to the online application, but then it showed, 'Based on the information you entered we found no records'...pls house wat could be the problem ?? why cant my record be found ? also i tried tracking my app through the Nigeria vfs website, but its saying ur application is still being processed at the canada office accra, Ghana. pls i need an urgent answer as i'm supposed 2 start school nxt 2 weeks and my flight has bn booked already for nxt weekend. First, u are not suppose to book ur flight b4 u get ur trv (it is well stated ). secondly, check all the details u used in login and see if there's a mistake if not keep trying it and it will show u (look out for ur date of birth, and other security questions u filled while opening the account ) |

jnyuwa02: Thanks for the link bro. But nothing here in the link says you cannot apply if visiting another country and must have strong ties to that country. It says only that you must give only a good reason for applying outside of your country. I swear I checked CIC website this morning around 3am and it says 18 weeks for Nigeria, 20 weeks for Ghana. I will check again. If this hold true, then I will be out of time. It will be sufficient reason in my opinion why to go somewhere else with shorter waiting time to apply. Plus the college has only issued temporal papers to me at this point, waiting for the real deal documents. So I cannot apply now. Thanks for all your opinions. I will keep you all posted and if I have any questions, will be appreciative of someone can tackle. Thanks again! bro as for the documents sent by ur school, u can use the temporary (electronic )documents to apply (u don't have to wait for the hard copies to get here b4 u apply). as for where to apply from go to where u feel like and hive us feedback. NB: IF U CHECK CLOSELY THERE SHOULD BE SOME COUNTRIES WHOSE PROCESSING TIMES ARE BELOW 3 WEEKS SEF |

Hey Chairman, where does it say that country you apply to, you have to be a permanent residence? Applying now in Nigeria says 18 weeks processing time, which will put me in October, way beyond when I am required to report to school. If you can get a visa to the U.S. and apply for a Canadian visa there as suggested on this forum by someone, why can't I get a Cameroonian visa and apply for a Canadian visa there where it takes only three weeks? the processing time for Nigeria is 14 weeks (last updated 22nd May, 2017). when is the one u are seeing(18 weeks) last updated? secondly don't be too bothered about the processing time, just package ur application well and try to do upfront medical and pray, u might be lucky to get it done b4 August |

jnyuwa02: [b]I have just been offered admission to the University of Saskatchewan with full funding covering tuition, room and board and other incidental expenses. Researched based Masters Thesis Program in Public Policy. Only 8 students are accepted and 3-5 of them given full scholarships. Looks like there is currently an 18 weeks waiting period for a study permit in Nigeria. Given I was granted this award only a few days ago, this puts me out of scope of applying for a visa in Nigeria and meeting the September 1st resumption date. I looked up some African countries and processing times. The processing time for a student permit in Cameroun is only 3weeks. My question is, will it better to go to Cameroun and apply for my study permit there, than Nigeria because of the backlog here? Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. you can only apply for Cameroun if u are a citizen or legally reside there. secondly processing time for Nigeria is not 18 weeks but 14 weeks and the fact that processing time is 14 weeks doesn't mean ur application must stay that long. get ur documents and apply here in naija or if u are a citizen of Cameroun or ligally reside there go there and apply there |

xavi50: i need your opinion guys. I applied canada study visa via paper route in the last 2 months and just got a mail from canada application center that my processed pasport has been dispatched to the application center. I thought am suppose to get a medical request from them. Do i still have hope for medical request from them when i get to d application center since am sure of satisfying most of their visa requirements including finances. bro if u applied from Nigeria and ur program exceeds 6 months then u are suppose to do ur medical before getting ur trv. if ur program duration exceeds 6 months and u applied from Nigeria and now they are asking u to go get ur processed passport from vfs then it simply means ur application has been denied(am 99% sure). Sorry about that |

Firstly, is there any specific arrangements, am I supposed to fill in the checklist myself, I would be taking my passport photograph at the Visa office I hope they are available. Paper Route. Thanks guys. Reply asap. 1. they will arrange it when u get there but to make it easier u can put all ur sponsor's documents on one side while urs on another side for easy arrangement from them. 2. u will fill the checklist urself. why don't u snap the passport before u get there (it's a bit expensive when doing it there ) |

Markab: Soa, bank reference letter, affidavit of sponsorship were all submitted initially with her paper app, do we still need to reprint? And re-write? I don't think u need to resubmit soa, let the bank write another reference letter stating or assuring the vo that the cash will be made available(forex ) when it's time for her to travel. plus the funding docs . I think that should do |

Markab: Good day all,
As requested by cic to present a new letter of acceptance and also evidence of paid tuition and deposit of living expenses for the upcoming year, the institution has agreed to defer her admission and also sent in a new funding letter attached. Gurus should please help peruse, as I think the letter is explicit enough to tackles VO's request for tuition and living expenses.
Wife is on full funding of full tuition for two years and 13k living expenses per year and we also submitted a statement of 5M in the first application courtesy of father in law.
Will this funding letter suffice?
Cc. @eraytee, @thesoj, @yemdogg, austinpee4 and all gurus should kindly come to wife's aid oo the funding letter should do and also her soa (with a letter from her bank stating the #5mil or tge amoybt ger sposonr is pledging for her upkeep will be easily transfered to canada when it's time for her to travel) |

Just get an affidavit from court stating the mistake was from waec and attach the affidavit to ur waec result whenever u want to use it. that should do |

Adedrizzy: Hi guys, i just had time to read past comments but i dont understand this new improvement of getting a bank draft and transfer of funds, also with paying full tuition. I am about to submit my application. Anybody that needs God's immediate blessings should kindly explain to me another option is u asking ur naija bank to write a letter of assurance stating the funds will be readily transported for u when u inventually get ur trv. a letter from your bank stating that and also try and get the memo from CBN stating forex will be made available by banks to their customers on educational grounds . |

samjumbo: Thanks so much oluwa. I have an offer from Manitoba for MSc rehab science. Total fees is 11500.. Approximately 3.2m.. But I am awaiting an offer from western Ontario for the same course. As in Ontario province, I may be aligible for full funding in health science, if not, they will not admit.
My question now is, going by my Manitoba offer, if I declare 12million without paying fees and etc, isn't that sufficient for me to apply as self funded for the two years?? I also have fund in T.Bills.. About 12m oooo.. DAT one no reach? Must I use a sponsor? Some pple are saying use a sponsor as it shows u that u are not alone.. But the truth is am richer than the sponsors... Brothers and parents I mean!! Can I use a statement of account reading 2 million as sponsor while I have 12m in my personal account?? Please can anyone analysis and shade more light how many years masters? U can use urself as sponsor just as the other moniker said as long as ur cash is enough for the duration of ur masters (tuition + living expenses ). NB: living expenses is cad$10k/year so multiply that with the years. If it's a 2 year program that means $20k (living expenses ) + $11.5k = $31.5k= almost #9mil, so u are good to go |

I can see u are not involved in this and I pray u don't have issues of misinterpretation of facts later. Tell ur agent to show u the message and from there u will know what to do. I think u should have done the medical as soon as the message from cic came in.
