Emmane: Hey Guys.... Please i need an urgent response for anyone who has knowledge of what i'm about to ask.
I have to send notarized copies of certificate to a body. And i really do not know what that means, and where i can get it done here in Lagos.
They said, only notarized copies would be accepted.
Pls i anticipate a response. Thank you. to to ikeja high court(inside the compound) and ask the securities there that you want to notarize your documents (though the securities will want to cut ur head with price but no fear). How many documents do u intend doing? The more the volume the cheaper it gets. Bargain wella ooo cos I did about 6 documents for around 2k. |

obaxlove: Sorry are you saying USA can contact Canada for my info?
I know Canada do contact USA. My challenge is that I currently have an ongoing student application in Canada and I'm planning to apply to USA next month. Canada app processing will be 2 months by then. Is it possible for USA to contact Canada to verify details? yes they both share info but if u haven't hidden any info concerning visa from them then u are good to go. |

Canada is my first priority but at the same time I am scared loosing from both sides. this is very tight bro, just like I said earlier it's ur call to make. if it's me I will have to withdraw the application and go for the training and if I can come back on time I apply for trv again. u can still apply for trv in June cos that's even when I intend applying by God's grace. That's my own take on this, but this isn't about me but about u |

I don't know if i should do that because this is 7weeks and no medical mail yet. omoba26: Great mind in the house.
Please need advise. Can I use 2 sponsor for my student visa. My dad (Main sponsor), and a family friend (He's using is company account to support).
Can I refer to him as a family friend in the SOP I will write to describe our relationship.
Kindly advise.
Thanks yes u can use 2 sponsors but they will write a letter of support each, ur family friend will have to convince the vo why he wants to spend on ur education and to show commitment let ur family friend pay ur tuition fee or let him pay the money he intend supporting u with into ur bank account (cos he is a 3rd party). As for ur dad he will also need a letter of support but his own won't be as tasking as that of ur friend since u being his son is enough reason to pay for ur education . |

Austinpee4: One of the main perogative of the visa officer is to make sure the program choosen by applicants is right!
Once a VO picks up the application form, sees academic and work experience, that in itself has formed the greater part of the decision about the applicant's application.
They most likely will look at the applicant's primary intentions of studying in canada before the secondary parts begin to play out. Besides, what if you spend all the millions to acquire a masters of french lang in canada and the company does not send you there but rather employ a native french speaking national resident in your desired country(This will even be economically likely for any company to do),what then happens to the master you have gotten in canada? Use it in nigeria to get another job that is not likely? Those visa officers see pass what we all submit as applications. Everything must add up clearly and explicitly. that's true . it's well |

Austinpee4: Haba! Brother! You sef check am nau.. If you were a VO, would you consider your move convincing enough?
French language is not a lingua franca in nigeria, your current work experience is not in line with your intended program, you don't have any experience in either french lecturing or translation. There is no way this one will fly! No amount of grammar put together in your SOP will salvage this one.
French language master or traning can easily be gotten in nigeria or the next francophone nation. No VO will see any need for you to pursue this at masters level especially in canada where you will be spending huge funds to obtain.
Anyway, you next move should be a masters in what you are currently doing. It will show progression careerwise. Forget consistency with your undergraduate degree. It is inconsequential at this stage.
Your current work experience should be inclining towards making you a 'MASTER' in the field. All academic/career advancement MUST be in this light and nothing more.
All the same, i'll advice you get your immigration file(GCMS) ASAP. It will tend to the inconsistencies. Once it is ready, people here will help you make a better re-application.
Regards. what if her company have branches in some francophone contrite and her intention is to be posted to one of those branches? Well even with that she must have to explain all that in details in her sop |

CanadianNurse: Good morning house, ON THE ISSUE OF WRITTEN ASSURANCE FROM BANK THAT CIC REQUESTED FOR
Please who has gotten the written assurance? And what are the possible steps to get the written assurance
From my own interpretation CIC is asking for assurance that the money will be "ALLOWED" out of the country, they have no doubt that the money is available but the possibility of exporting the cash is what they want to confirm!
I once heard someone talk about bankers assurance on this forum! What's that? Will it fly in this case and how can one get it!
Please gurus we should deliberate on this an have a formula for tackling this on this forum for the sake of future applicants because this is reality! It is now a requirement!
Cc:@justwise @osemigho @austinepee4 @michv @folaroyal @thesoj @yemdogg @eraytee @penitential @mikymiko @mcobex @nelly28 I think it for us to show the bank the message from cic and let the bank include the assurance part in the reference letter they are suppose to give. Also I feel paying of tuition fee is very key to this except in a case where the school don't accept tuition fee until visa has been approved |

I am having a hard time drafting this out. all three sponsors will write their own letter of support stating how much they are giving (individually) for ur study |

Osemigho: Damn! Your agent must have used fake documents with or without your consent. You definitely need to arrest them if it is without your consent. Sorry man.
The only option left is to challenge them to court. but you are likely not to win the case.
All the best, bro! he can't challenge them bro cos cic was right, and I want to believe he didn't even state it that he was using an agent when he applied so he has no case against cic. I will advise u try other countries that don't share info with canny and let's see how it goes. I want to believe the agent is somewhere drinking his cold bottle of beer while leaving the applicant to suffer for his silly mistakes. NB: I will keep telling us to try no matter how busy we are to apply ourself and not leave it to any agent . |

maziude: Sorry boss, if you cannot present your case yourself by writing your own SOP, how else do you expect to succeed in Canada if you eventually get a visa? Or you think you can also pay your way out during examination period too?
Everything is not all about money.
People here are willing to help you proofread your SOP should you need it. If that is not enough, you can also google sample SOPs or go through earlier parts of this thread to see other people's SOP for guidance.
I think we should desist from this mentality. We keep causing trouble for intending applicants by giving the VOs the chance to raise their bars.
I am sure some of the VOs frequent most of these forums especially the travel portions, imagine if one of them should stumble on your post, what do you think will happen to others who wrote their SOPs themselves?
I might not be making sense, but a word is enough for the wise...
It will end in praises for us all....
Peace... you have spoken well bro, @expertman pls try and write urself then u can contact the gurus in the house so they can help u go through it. Nobody here knows you better than you know yourself so try and write it urself then gurus in the house can help u add one or two things. Google is ur friend bro and u can see samples when u search, u can even see some samples here on this thread so pls take advantage of that |
