mimshack2015: Okay, Thanks.. wonderful help so far... Another thing.. What other conditions will warrant one to asked to defer admission for another...year apart from visa refusal/delay or what other reason will be available for someone to defer his or her admission that the school will accept? apart from visa delay/refusal?
Like I told u earlier, I just got another Job and I am thinking 'maybe' to just defer for another yr to gather more cash and help my wife biz stands well... though I hope they join me soon when I finally leave.... Please you hv bn helpful..kindly advise I will answer from my experience, when I deferred my admission 2 years ago I just told them I will like to defer due to some unforseen circumstance (family issue) and it was granted . |

mimshack2015: Thanks Bro. I do really appreciate, but I want to give you a clear pics for a better advise. I was working in an oil n gas industry but got redundancy last November.. I hv pension funds of which i intended to collect 25 percent, plus some of my savings to go for this jorni.. my acct has not bn receiving much cash since the redundancy... but everything put together I can raise 75% of the said...amt. I just need a co-sponsor.. not because I want the person to fund my fees..but as a backup..
Presently, have another Job with diff. bank acct and though dis Job is not paying as much as my career Job.. but I intended to use this bank since the other bank has not bn receiving alert..and this new bank is just 2months old.. Can I use both bank and or transfer all the cash in one bank..
You see.. my sponsor is not paying all the cash.. Please kindly advise I think u should use both accounts , as for ur co-sponsor let him pay his own bit into ur account and u explain to him u will give him after u print ur statement of account (let's pray cic doesn't ask for another soa after u must have submitted), since u are bringing 75% it means ur co-sponsor won't be lending u that much. so try and g ey someone that trust u and believe in ur canada dream and let him act as ur co-sponsor. Also a good sop will do the magic. Pls gurus in the house should help out here |

mimshack2015: Thanks, You bn helpful... Another questions... must my SOA be 4/6 months... ?? Will 1month soa be okay?.. Then.. My tuition fees for the first yr is 15k cad and living cost could be 10k cad..total 25kcad... are you saying my co-sponsor should try part of this money into my Naira account?? and there would not be problem of lump sum in my account..?? 6 months soa is what is required not 1 month. let him pay ur tuition of 15k to ur school then the 10k into ur account(if he doesn't want to pay the whole 25k to ur account ), it won't be viewed as lump sum if u and him explain it in ur sop and letter of support respectively. also if he can prove the source of his fund then u are good |

Rocorleone: $8000 CAD ok, so that means u need atleast $18,000 CAD before u can apply. that should around #4.3mil (using #240/1CAD), so ur sponsor(s) should be able to give u that |

Rocorleone: an soa that has inflow and outflow of over 5mil above for the past 6 months but has 1.8mil as aval. balance while the other sponsor has inflow and outflow of over 5mil above for the past 6 months. How well is the soa.
what is the vo interested in? is it the huge inflow and outflow of money or the aval balance? I think the vo will be more interested in the available funds for ur 1st year. ur tuition +cad10k. how much is ur tuition fee? |

Do you mean I'll have to print out the transaction of the said amount transfered to my account and add it to my application?
Please I just want to understand. yes ur statement of account and that of ur sponsor will be needed . the reason why u and ur sponsor will have to explain the money sent to u is to clear the issue of lump sum (cos I want to believe u don't usually or have never received such amount at once in ur account before) |

How then do they (relative) need to pay your tuition as no details are set up yet to make payment for the program yet get proof from school to show its the school's policy of not accepting tuition until June then let your relative pay the said amount into ur account and explain everything in his/her letter of support..... that's my take, gurus in the house can have a better advise |

Who can someone use as a sponsor...(I mean,,dose dis limit to family members only like: Father, Mother or Brothers) ..Can't one use his close friends, or family relatives not bearing the same surname..? If they are ready to show banks statement.. Please advise,,,thanks u can use a third party (close friends or relatives) but they will have to give convincing reasons why they are sponsoring u and to clear any doubt let them pay ur tuition fee and if possible pay ur living expenses into ur account before u apply for trv |

Mumtwins08: Hello everyone ... Please I would like to ask a few questions . 1. Is it advisable to do Medicals before applying for a Canadian visa ? 2 . My son is a Usa citizen and would be applying with me as a dependent ( a 2 years masters ) . Do I need to submit his Usa passport alongside mine . Basically I am asking if he needs a permit to travel as well .
Thank you in advance for the prompt reply ... 1. it's ur decision to make, upfront medical have no advantage as such just that when applying late applicants tend to do upfront medical so as to save time . so if u have the cash u can do it but if u aren't too boxed up rite now u can leave it till cic ask u to go for it. I can't answer the 2nd question, gurus in the house should help out |

ebimila: Pls house...what is the difference between ones' study visa application been denied or delayed. I understand if denied, CIC sends a letter to this effect but in the case of a delay (eg. when you are yet to get a response as at start date of program). Can this be termed that you have been denied? Delayed here means the same as denied, it's just a way of encouraging the applicant he/she can apply again and get his/her trv. as for the case of not having ur trv even when ur program has commenced, then the questions of (1). as the trv application exceeded the processing time? if yes then u will have to contact cic, but if it hasn't exceeded the period then u will have to wait and while u are waiting u contact ur school and inform them of the development, cos u might have to defy ur admission to the next available session |

yemdogg: No i am not interested in the amount. It depends on the lawyer notarising the document for you. For further information, was there a stamp/seal on your document that says NOTARY PUBLIC or ORIGINAL COPY SIGHTED BY ME? Please check very well. yes there is. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by mcobex: 2:43pm On May 02, 2017 |
yemdogg: What is written in the document particularly at the attestation part?
Before me
............................................
Commissioner for Oaths
OR
BEFORE ME
.................................................
NOTARY PUBLIC
If it is the earlier one...then that's not a notary public.
In any event....It is possible that Lagos State Judiciary has a notary public department, buh it is not so in most states in Nigeria, even in the FCT.
Notary public are purely lawyers and they are usually not attached to any court whatsoever. Infact one of the requirement of being a Notary public is certificate of registration of business name. Therefore, this implies that they're not to be under the employment of any Government agency or parastatal. They're usually private legal practitioners. Commissioner for oaths on the other hand are usually court clerks saddled with the responsibility of swearing people on oath to ensure the information provided are valid and true. when I said it I was very specific by saying "if the guy lives on the mainland he should go to the high court in ikeja and he will get it done for that price depending on his bargaining power" the last time I did was late last year, but will be going there later this month again to do another document of mine |

Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by mcobex: 2:26pm On May 02, 2017 |
tysaxmalomo: Bro please do not confuse people, swearing an affidavit is different from notarizing. Notarizing is done by people who are notary public and can cost as much as 15k per document.....
Affidavit is possible to get at 350 sef since the oath fee is just 50# and all you have to do is pay the typist.
But don't confuse affidavit for notarizing.
Thanks
Cc @ yemdogg are u saying this base on experience or what? if u want to use a private law firm that I can't attest to buy there's a notary public department in ikeja high court and u can do it there, I have done more than 10 documents there so I KNOW WHAT AM SAYING. just the way people pay up to 15k to get police report and some (including me) pay just 3k to get same police report that's how it is with this |

Yet to notarize don't Kn how much it shouldn't cost u much to notarize depending where u are doing it. if u are in lagos and on the mainland I will advice u go to high court in ikeja and u should be able to do sit for as low as 1k upwards((depending on ur bargaining power) |
