Greetings to the house. Can i connect 9pieces of jinko 580w panel [ 51v VOc @STC] total 459v to a growatt spf 5000es[max voc 450v] and just hope that cable losses, environmental conditions will clip the extra 9volts or more. Is it a bad gamble?

I am about to do this, please tag me when you get answers or decide to help us see how it panned out when you decide to do it.

Worst case scenario it'll enter error mode when voltage overshoots 450v.

You can only find out by a trial

I have 3 hisense and 1 LG inverter ACs in the house.
My technician came for maintenance in February and said oga your ACs are still good as new. Maintain them well and nothing will happen to them. Hisense Inverter ACs are called mortuary standard for a reason. Used thermocool before. Low power consumption, yes but they don't chill that well.

Thanks a lot, this exactly what I'd love to see; real life based experienced backed assertions. So thermocool while giving you that energy efficiency may just not cool as well as Hisense.

Is it because of this lower cooling capacity of the thermocool AC that made you replace it with Hisense? Secondly, between the Hisense and LG which of these two is more power efficient in your experience?

No comparison. Instead of buying that thermocool, get a hisense inverter AC if you're on a budget.

Have you actually seen Thermocool inverter AC (Gen Pal) at work and compared it's energy efficiency against LG inverter series AC? In science, I love to see concrete evidence of some things before I conclude.

You definitely did get the wrong model, Please get LG Dual Inverter GenCool B

LG Smart Inverter has about 50%-60% Energy Saving while LG Dual Inverter has 70% and LG Dual Inverter GenCool B has even more than 70% and can retain the Gen Mode memory after power loss. That's a function we upvoted to have over the years.

Is this better than Thermocool Gen Pal Inverter AC?

My 2500 smarten inverter couldn't properly power my 1hp inverter LG AC unit.

It would power on and the compressor would pick up,but within few minutes,the overload protection of the smarten inverter kicks in showing that I'm running at 104% of the inverter capacity.

What could be the problem please?

PS: The AC was the only appliance running on the smarten inverter as at then.

And the load % on the inverter was increasing gradually till it got to that 104%.

There is this crazy thing Asian inverter manufacturers do, they label an inverter one thing while the pf shows true capacity to be another. Who knows the pf of the so-called 2.5kva

Good morning my people. After I came back from post office yesterday and I realized it's almost impossible to send the goods back from your contributions, I went to message the seller that the shipping fees is #60,000 which is equivalent to $42 and I asked if I should proceed with the shipping (you remember I stated it earlier that AliExpress ruled that the seller will pay the shipping fee?). The goods is $31 while the shipping fee I told the seller is $42, so, I think it's almost impossible for the seller to tell me to proceed with the shipping when the shipping fee is cost more than the actual goods. So, this morning I woke up to a good news, the seller told me to keep the goods and the money will be refunded and now, the refund is in process.

To those running solar, I'm just curious. When last did you use your generator? Did you have to sell it after installing your solar?

I hate generator. Been running on solar since 2014. It was my hate for generator that made RE very attractive to me. I never seem to get the hang of fixing a generator. I also hate the way it disappoints you when you least expect it.

The idea of it is to maintain the speed I stepped out of the house with. Due to size, weight, and cost, unless you asked for it to be customised; most ebike batteries are Lion.

One to running around local errands. The other two for workout. Even if you are tired, going out with an ebike is a joy.

Glad you later got one. This thing is a joy. Upgraded my battery to LiFePo4. No more drop in speed as experienced with Lion when the battery is getting low.

Get an ebike. A good Enduro ebike is around that price. Can do 120km/hr but be on the lookout for the average Nigerian road user who suddenly crosses the road using only their ears to gauge if a vehicle is coming

You should've taken the $19. If you try FedEx or DHL be ready to cough out at least 50k or so for that movement

11A panel cannot give u 11A consider losses. Just do the two parallel end up getting near 18 to 19A. U guys that are doing this high voltage series should give us feedback with inductive loads...how many Ac's were they able to power without battery during the day with 11 to 13A PV or more.

I've done this before and it ended in tears. I did parallel Longi 450W with 11.60A Isc. The Growatt will be working fine until sun hits it's peak and it sees 22A and then enters into error mode and shut down after 3 minutes or so
