Good morning my people. Please how does someone go about running returning goods to AliExpress? Already filled the dispute and the shipping address has been provided. I called speeddaf and they said they do not return goods.
Try NIPOST's EMS.

If the goods is not worth at least $80, returning it may not profitable to you as cost of shipping things outta Naija is super expensive

mercedes EQS SUV...fully electric and a full charge should drive you abuja to JOS without recharging with AC turned on....410 million naira
I like the range of 315 miles or 506km.

Massive battery 100kwh+

Mercedes dey try. Car is around $100k to $125k in the USA. I guess exchange rate, duty and shipping cost is to blame for that ₦410m tag in Naija.

Let them ship in Xiaomi SU7 EV. At least boys can afford that one.

Me think you're expecting too much from a 5kW / 450V input inverter that can do 580 * 9 at NOCT which gives around 5200+ out of 6000 available. If you're scared of NOCT, then STC can do 440 * 11 which give nearly 4900; using Jinko Panels as a case study.
If it doesn't satisfy your needs, then upgrade to the SPH variant that offers ISC 33.8A, IMP 27A, 550V input accomodating between 6500 to 10600 Wp panels offering the same smart load functionality as the Deye. The 5kW version costs 1.3m and call it a day!
Already bought the Growatt. Thanks for your input.

You can get Jinko or Longi 450w to 475w and do 12 or 14 (6s2p or 7s2p)
Those two panels you mentioned have Isc of more than 11A each which will exceed the yeye 5000ES Growatt's maximum PV input current of 22A

Oshomo12:
In the manual, did they work with lower capacity panels?

I don't want to assume they never intended you getting near that 6000w in the first instance.
They just stated the maximum PV wattage is 6000w, how you get to that is ok if you don't exceed their PV input current

Ferdiwar:
What's the max pv power and VOC of the inverter?
MPPT range is 120-430v

Maximum PV wattage = 6000w

Maximum PV input current = 22A

DaniellaDokubo:
From experience your panels wont get you much of what is on the name plate wattage. I use imported premium panels and my data logger has showed the panels could get only a paltry 60% of its designed capacity. This is after observing the production for a period of time on daily basis.

Way forward is to oversize your PV system but not the Voc as that is the only thing that is always higher than the name plate value when it is in use. Don't waste your money on any premium anything.
Sorry, I guess you don't understand my predicament. I wanted to put as much PV as I can possibly can on one Growatt
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 9:26am On May 05, 2024
jonescosmos:
What should be of concern to you is the system voltage. JUST DON'T EXCEED YOUR SYSTEM MAX VOLATGE Your System can only draw a max of 10A even if you a have 15A total panel assembly but make sure your MPPT Max Voltage at STC is not exceeded.

Eg.
Say you have 450W 12A @ 37.5V Panels
And your MPPT spec says: 450V @ 10A,
It's very safe to have 10 of this panel in series which will give 375V @ 12A STC,
So your MPPT will draw it's 10A complete and the excess will not be of any harm to it.

But in all this, NOTC will reduce these readings for you. At least in Nigeria anyway.
I understand all these, the plan is to put as much PV panels as I can per growatt. I'm sort of annoyed I can only do less than 5kw when said inverter can do 6kw.

Growatt has a maximum PV input current of 22A. I'm unhappy I can't run parallel as most panels above 400w has Isc more than 11A making parallel impossible. The other alternative is to get lower capacity PVs, the space is very limited.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 5:30pm On May 04, 2024
HeavenlyBang:
If you absolutely need to get 6000w, then you just need to oversize your panels as much as you can while staying within the VOC limit of your inverter.

Pretty much all the Jinko panels will serve you. 580W panel has about a max amperage of 13A.
The max you can get out of this 580w is 8 in series which is still 4640. Still far from 6000w. I want to go near to 6000w without need for an external charger controller.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 4:19pm On May 04, 2024
HeavenlyBang:
Just connect in series...

Also, unlike voltage, current needs to be drawn. Even if your setup is supplying 25A isc, your Growatt will only pull the 22A it's limited to. You still lose some power but not much, since it's not like you'll be getting isc anywhere near regularly.

My SRNE has a max input of 13A but a 500v VOC, so I just ran my PVs in series.
Yeah, but I want to get close to that 6000w PV capacity. The best I could do is roughly 4500w.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 3:03pm On May 04, 2024
HeavenlyBang:
Doubt you'll see. Even Longi 350w panels are 11A. Same as Jinko 440W.
Dang. I'm trying to see how I can wiggle my way out of Growatt's ES5000 22A maximum input current.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 12:03pm On May 04, 2024
Does anyone know of a premium solar panel up to 450w with 10A or less Isc? Please share the product name.

there is no Abracadra here, he is running 2p14s. that's a 14s NMC cells

there are several types of Lithium packs. 48V
Li-on/NMC - 14s
LFP - 15s (48V) 16s (51.2)
LTO - 20s
Sodium ion -15s
Oh, thought that was a LiFePo4 with 3.2v nominal voltage battery. My bad.

By the way, you have got 24 cells in total, some 2 cells are paired connection and some cells are single, i am wondering how you want to achieve a 16S setup with this.
Whosoever goes to this location should update us on how this abracadabra was done as I've asked this same question.

Did they do 16s and decided to run 8 cells in parallel to 8 leaving out 8 cells with no parallel?

Interesting what some DIY has under the hood the main reason I do ALL MY DIY from beginning to end.

It’s 48v. On the battery I have “charging upper limit - 58vdc ~ 58.5vdc” written on the sticker pasted on it. He also advised that I set my inverter charge settings to 57.5v and that’s what I’ve been using since I got the battery
Reach out to the man who dropped his contact so he can help. I hate when people who DIY for people don't do the right thing.

I’ve opened the battery and these are the pictures I took before closing it back. Please if anyone knows where Or who can help get it fixed, please do recommend. I have to revert back to my generator now in this current fuel scarcity wahala.
I have this same BMS, I see 24 batteries, I'm interested to know what voltage you running. If it's 48v, how did he pull it off with 24 batteries?

Side note: BMS cable management is too poor.

Hello good morning everyone. Please I need you advise.
Yesterday I noticed the display on my battery was blank and immediately I opened the jk bms app on my phone and attached is the screenshot what i saw. Since yesterday my battery has refused to charge and I don’t know what to do. I got the battery from the Jos guy two years ago and I’ve messaged him on WhatsApp and tried calling him too but he’s not responding. The battery is reading low voltage on my inverter now but on the jk app the battery voltage is high.
Some of the BMS wire have disconnected so giving the bms a false info about your battery. You may need to open the battery and check if all the lead wires are continuous.

Not 260V.
we have High voltage starting at 36V now.
this is Sako 1.64KW watts panels producing 1.43KW with only 4 panels rated at 31Vmp
total input is 113V from PV
That's impressive to see that high VoC of the MPPT and low starting voltage. Most high input voltage inverter requires high starting voltage to run the MPPT controller.
