I had this tinnitus scare five years ago. Ever since then, I run away from very loud sound. Imagine persistent ringing in your ear for two days. Slight humming in the middle of the night. I googled the effect and got tinnitus. I was super scared. Fortunately, after the second day it stopped! I felt like I won a lottery. Never again will I expose my hearing to loud sounds/music.

Is anyone here still using Klasha?

A refund ($50) was made to my pink card(expired) since May but it's yet to reflect on my wallet, up till now nothing yet, i just want to take my funds out from there once the refund hit my wallet and go for maybe Bitnob or any other one that's great for now

Klasha's downtime error & other problems its having for this long period is really worrisome

You are welcome. I just stumbled upon the post where timselectric said he actually had 23.7kw on just one inverter. I had been looking for it and was beginning to think I was going senile because when I checked his build thread his signature said 3 growatts. Clearly the single Growatt was in the early stages.

Here is what you are looking for. I get the feeling all Spf5000s can be overpanelled including the 18A but you must perform a firmware upgrade especially on the 18As.

Edit: Also discovered that Timselectric was using the 18a version and his parallel setup simply capped his available amps at 18.2A. So looks likes you can parallel either, the inverter simply won’t draw more than the max (18 or 22). Hence Amos’s comments about waste if you overpanel excessively.

It could be because you have one of the earlier Growatt with 18a. I think the German guy said something like that on another video. Whatever the case get to your firmware number and ask Amos. It could be you need a firmware update.

Yeah, about it been the 18A version you may have a point. The current one I got is 22A. I know about the forum. I'm a member for like two years or so. Thanks for the update.

You can safely. There are numerous examples. In fact the growatts are well known for overpanelling. I’ll look for the guy who ran his for months on 15kw and post. Like I said make use of Amosplanet and ask Amos directly. He is one of the engineers at Growatt China.

I'm only cautious as when I tried it with Longi 450w with 11.60A Isc it kept shutting down at peak sun hours. It stopped when I removed the parallel.

Why take the risk exceeding the Voc, when you can just over panel with parallel strings? And have a wider power curve?

Growatt spf5000 are well known to handle overpanelling so long as you don’t exceed the voc.
Some guy even had 15kw on his spf5000.

This guy below had 2x 4k parallel strings on his spf5000, that’s just one example.

My panel's PV parallel current exceeds 22A, which is the maximum PV input current of Growatt SPF5000ES.

I don't have doubt you can over panel it; maybe with panels that has Isc of less than 11A. Mine is 13.4A

I have six of these, the first of the six procured almost 4 years ago. The last one was about 2 years ago. The lights you described blink in all.

Even when I bought a barebone PowMr variant CC (all the components excluding the metal case & screws) to DIY a mobile all-in-one power station, it still has that blinking light.

I wonder why the removed the light in their new iteration. And even with weaker fans. Shrink-flation maybe.

MakeSkyBlue was turning out to be an annoyingly expensive offer before PowMr came out and they had an online tug of war (imitation etc) for a while. I think it has died down now. I have a unit of MakeSkyBlue and the coming of PowMr was Godsent affordability when the former was getting unbearably expensive.

Their war was epic. First time I'm seeing a company say the other company is fake in their ad

I have MakeSkyBlue then, so I was siding with them. Lol

I wonder why people don't like to hear the truth! You were offered the best advice on the cost-effective courier to use for your shipment, yet you're still telling stories! Since you know that the carriers you mentioned are the best and fastest why complaining about huge customs charges?

No doubt about it, Speedaf and Nipost are the cheapest logistics for deliveries coming into the country. Where Speedaf is not available, Nipost automatically fills in the gap. If you're not comfortable with them (Nipost) , and you feel their service is too slow, you're free to go for any express courier of your choice and then be ready to pay through your nose when your items arrive.

I guess some things are better experienced than explained. My explanation may not look good. Let experiencing it help.

I recently installed 2 more of this CC : one for my use and one for a friend. Both CCs behaved different from previous installs.
1) They get much hotter than the older make. I suspect the fan speed. The new ones have fans that are very silent but not as efficient as older variants. Temps of the new ones got as high as 65°C despite the fan being on!
2) The temperature sensor gauges differently on the old and new variants ans could be off by almost 5-10 degree
3) On a good note, harvest seems better than the old variants
How do you know which one you got? The OLD variants had a light that constantly blinks in the fan recess in front.

My second mppt controller is this type of MPPT. I have one still working since 2014/15 The thing is a beast.

The last 3 years have really got big firms keying into solar power.

The item I bought on Aliexpress, the seller shipped it using FedEx, FedEx sent me a mail to pay 37k for Customs duty and clearance. I have never experience this before since I have been buying on Aliexpress, the seller already charged a huge shipping fee on the item.

Please what do I do in this scenario, I never prepare I ll pay any additional fee.

You have to pay. No other way. Next time inform seller not to use FedEx or DHL. Let them use normal mail or Speedaf. No issues with custom duty that end.

This is very true. My 8 x 18650 charger/analyser that I bought and never used have failed to work.

My Reolink 5MP camera I bought and kept for like 2 years (forgot I had it ) has gone bad too.

Same thing happened to my heart rate monitor I bought and never used. Remembered the other day I was doubting the rate my watch gave after an exercise The thing no longer works.

All these devices no longer works after about 3 years of it been left in their pack

Can anyone explain why this happens?

These days I'm now using every electronic I have. Don't want to be caught lacking again

Your responses have been helpful. What about custom fees and the like? I heard that's a huge problem. If I send $6k worth of Lithium Batteries, the custom dues would be crazy.

Never paid ₦1 as custom duty for all the sea shipping I've done so far. Must've been factored into the shipping cost.

You can always buy from China and ship it direct to them. Sea shipping rate is not bad, just takes more time with ETA between 45 to 90 days.

Anyways, looking at that growatt, it's Kinda cheaper buying it in Nigeria than buying it in the US. So I don't see the significant gain here in that one example. Tax break is just 30% and it's for the whole system not just for an inverter. Except I am not really understanding. I am happy to discuss more about this with you.

Just providing you the companies you can use to ship things down from there...you don't really have to buy a single Growatt from US to ship down here. It may not be the most cost effective things to do.

My inverter was actually included in a big purchase from Signature solar and their warranty covers it.

It won't be cheaper to just source Chinese product from the US unless there's a deal to be had.

Sometimes I do buy things like phone, power tools,etc from the US, I use heroshe to ship it down or have a friend bring it down when they visit Nigeria, which is often.

But his son aminu is running things, if you have drank "admiral" yoghurt, know that you drank yoghurt that the manufacturing process from milk collection to bottle packaging was all solar powered... If am not mistaken thier battery is like 7Mwh.

I was about to ask who's bankrolling em, then I saw former governor and it all makes sense.

Got myself a QCY HT05, wasn't expecting much from it. But I'm blown away by the mid and bass and clarity. Also it's sure has a faster connection to my phone compared to my previous 1More earbud that I bought for thrice the price. Found it be super light especially when compared with my Edifier. ANC not too bad when you come to think of the price range.

Give QCY a chance if you are in the market for good earbud that won't break the bank.

It's a solid 5 star from me

Excellent wind noise reduction, can converse on the outdoors when cycling and still get heard by the receiver.
