post=74814190: The only reason you are ever NOT against the names you called is because you see voting for them as a wasted vote since they are not a near threat to APC, based on popularity. The day you start seeing Sawore as a force, Just like your fathers them, you will find one reason to paint him black. |

Computers / A Data Encryption Result Produces A Phone Number - See Miracle In Photo by meetmeonline: 5:48am On May 11, 2017 |
Many of you may say "what's the big deal?" but this will take you a lifetime of tries (in billions) which may still never yield result. Was just doing my regular coding and wanted to check output and to my wow I found that one of my results produced a valid Nigerian phone number with its first 11 characters. Analysis: This is a name hashing, using MCRYPT_BLOWFISH encryption (with a very serious key) of which result is converted to a hexadecimal value and used to tag a field on the client (browser) end. Why the celebration: The computer does millions of calculations (and even billions depending on the key) to hide a value against the wrong eye of which result comes in binaries and is converted to a hexadecimal value (my style) for easy and safe transfer. The result of this usually comes in a very irregular pattern eg. "d6b3d9ddcf2df11ed23946f8957a1f9", "34aadf8117755243ef3c877d3af4e1e"...The 170 million people in Nigeria can keep trying for the next 10 years and no one will ever come up with a "080" let alone a complete phone number at the start with an alphabet right after it.

Nairaland / General / Re: A Nairalander Claims He Is Of The "MARINE WORLD" by meetmeonline: 3:14pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
Fame333: I think I understand the spirit realm ten times better than you do, but please if you don't understand something the first time you read, re-read again...don't just jump into things without getting context...if you cannot quote me word for word then stay still...I cannot find any "SPIRITUAL" in my write up, (neither did I say the mama used SPIRITUAL) all I contested was the word "MARINE" please take back your spiritual-world tag |
Nairaland / General / A Nairalander Claims He Is Of The "MARINE WORLD" by meetmeonline: 2:04pm On Sep 14, 2016 |
Na wah oh! no be small thing...I was almost thrown out of a public vehicle by other passengers when I tried to correct an elderly woman telling her that I was of the "marine world". This woman was talking and talking of people of the marine world when I got uncomfortable and told her "madam, I am of the marine world" and there was utter silence in the vehicle...then I added, "and so is everybody here from"...ahh! a group of "God forbid!" started coming from here and there. I tried everything to convince these Nigerians and all was fruitless...Dear friends, I hope none of you will remove me from his/her list when I say that "WE ARE ALL OF THE MARINE WORLD". The marine (as I understand it) is simply part of earth, a body of water, and beautiful animals living in it, I completely doubt any fact that there is a doorway onto another world that is present in the Atlantic or Pacific, if you swim through all the bottom of these seas, you'll be as good as somewhere within the earth, but please if diving into a portion of the ocean takes you to another world, I'll be so curious to learn...saying there are evil spirits in the waters is as good as saying you have one hiding in a dark room here in the city...SIMPLE!!!. If you don't believe the Atlantic if free from spirits then I don't believe one is not hiding in your septic tank downstairs...In Gen 1:10 God made the marine and not only did he make it, he saw it as good. The only place God (ever) created water is in this realm and whenever you call "marine", you automatically refer to "Earth"...I AM OF THE MARINE WORLD...and if you are not of it too then you are of another realm, YOU MUST BE A SPIRIT!!! |

Culture / Why Do Nigerians Choose To Pay With The Oldest Notes In Their Pocket. by meetmeonline: 4:01pm On Oct 16, 2013 |
I am not an exception, I do it everyday. I tend save the newest notes with me each time I want to make payments but I have come to realise the action is not worth the effort since you'll not get any bigger value or respect for spending the new note later. ''Or you wan use am cook soup?''.......tell us if you do the same too and why. |

Hello Nairaland team.....For the health and future of this forum, read and reread every topic you bring to the frontpage to be sure it doesn't draw a line between the Yorubas and the Igbos cus a very serious tension is brewing between these two groups at the detriment of the forum. |

It's ''bravo!'' to the interviewers who dragged the Lagos Civil Defence ''below'' oga to dust. They have made the most popular interview of the decade and the uniform man has gone home hiding his face....but if I may ask, what plans have they made for the future of the program? cus I know no ''average IQd'' Nigerian will accept to fall prey of the same disgrace again.....abi...if them call you, you go go? |

The best inventions in order of importance to me are Electricity, The locomotive engine and The search engine and not entirely the internet...without search engines like Google and Bing, the internet will not be as porpular as it is today...it is for this that it was able to steal the show from the fax machine and others that may have evolved to something else...think deeper and get my point. |

sucrecandy: So, it was the early hours of a monday morning, the usual boisterous noise of people rushing to work, horns blaring here and there, i had woken up a little bit late than usual, in the mad rush, i ruled out the possibility of taking the BRT bus to save time, i was still shock-stranded at abule egba bus stop thinking of how to get to the lagos island and arrive in the office not later than 8:15 fully aware that any minute i dangle after that would send a cold query flying into my email from my mean, insatiable boss......you must have had a nice background in composition.....u r a good storyteller and writer....I must say u are talented in this.....use it! |
Politics / Re: Obasanjo Cautions Achebe & Awolowo’s Loyalists Against Civil War Comments by meetmeonline: 10:47pm On Jan 27, 2013 |
Kslib:........My good friend, you started well but ended poorly...your writing feels like you are being intimidated by the high flyer competitive nature of the Igbo man....I see you are writing out of fear of domination (and that's the same national problem over the Igbos).....now ask yourself....if not one with a jewlike nature, which black tribe in Africa can hold an assisted country to war for as long as 30months with few weapons? how many black nation has ever invented a weapon of mass distruction from scratch? Which tribe can bounce back to prosperity and even begin to lead others after getting only 20pounds each just few years back....do you know the western people bought almost every foreign owned business during the indigenisation move just after the war? Now where are those companies they bought? The Igbos have always had the most unfortunate side of the story, yet finish with a leading competitive advantage...people say the Igbos don't go to school yet only Ebonyi in the SE is not among the first 7 in number of university enrolments in Nigeria per state...you say we are criminals, but you forget that all our crimes are targeted toward bringing money (GNP) back home and not as demonic as prostitution and terrorism that earns almost nothing........please do not talk of development because I stand to be corrected that the SE is the most widely urbanised part of Nigeria even though it is not aided by the national petrodollars like Abuja, PH and Lagos... We have almost no place we may call village again in the area as you'll be shocked to find an internet cafe in a place you call village, it is the only place you can almost never find school children without shoes anywhere (find out from any corps member) but you still find them in parts of SW....do not let Lagos make you think the west is developed, Lagos is only what it is today because it held the colony, national capital and has got Fashola. If the west were as you say, why is Abeokuta and Ibadan not as developed as the reviving Onitsha, Owerri and Aba that was badly hit during the war...If you know Lagos well you will understand that after the capital left here, if not for the head offices and the trade activities of the Igbo man, Lagos would have fallen to something like Ilorin...I was at Ibadan the other day and was almost weeping when I noticed that over 70% of the roofs had rusted zinc....a kind of zinc which is almost faced out in SEastern construction....the southwest only dominated when we were healing, but we are going back on top gradually....what I expect you to write is that the Igbos are a bit disorganised and are not united amongst themselves but this is like a tonic cus it makes us improve when we compete with each other.....I cry for those S-Southerners who don't like the Igbos....you have oil and somebody from a dusty village far away will be giving you percentage from oil in your own land and after everything you still beg to work in a company built on your farmland.....I GUESS THE IGBOS WOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE GENEROUS....we would have doubled the ridiculous 14% you are forced to manage and will not take your money overseas! 2 Likes |
