Unrelated post but I need assistance to locate my mum stranded in Egypt airport. Her destination is Canada but she got stranded at Egypt airport during stopover and missed her connecting flight. Her phone is off now but she said the officials were speaking Arabic and weren't of help when asked to give them phone. I've contacted Nigerian embassy and the Egypt air and await response but need more ideas and assistance in locating her since she would still be within the airport as she can't clear immigration.

Secondly ,A Jobless Man with all the Academic Qualifications,For 10 years now he has been looking for a good Paying Job ,He couldn't get any ,They Turned him down ,He Became Frustrated and settle down for a 25k Teaching job .

Later he decided to take up an Okada work ,the 25k job wasn't okay .

His Mother Asked him to Travel down ,She advised him to join her in a 3 days fasting and Prayers .

He Works in one of them today ,He lives in Great Affluent now .

Good day, all. I am typing this with a lot of frustration and anger.

I was among the volunteers asked by this NGO (name withheld ) to serve as an ENUMERATOR. They told me it was a paid volunteer. We were trained in data collection using ODK and Kobotoolbox.

As a student, I had planned how I will use this stipend of 20k to provide my basic needs in school because I have no one sponsoring me.

My section does go out to collate these data on Fridays and Saturdays. Now to the issue!

Just yesterday made it a month and I was expecting the money to get foodstuffs and save like 5k for my next school fees. The program director for North Central told me that I am not entitled to a stipend because the role I am working on is just volunteering and not paid.

I was shocked because when I was told and made to sign a term of agreement it was clearly stated that I will receive a 20k monthly stipend. I then asked them to show me the document and I was surprised to see the term of the agreement was uttered.

What should I do nairalanders to get my money or should I continue without pay to get experience as an enumerator for the outside world?

Please Nlfpm.od help me get a wider view. I am in a state of dilemma.

2023 Nigeria population is above 220 million , that same UK is just above 65 million..

If you ask me, I would say this is a complete waste of time, energy and taxpayers’ resources. But going by the way the Mmesoma’s issue has taken an ethnic dimension, the people of Anambra may not really care if the entire state resources go into looking for what is not missing.

It was the JAMB text in response to her inquiry that listed the different result of 249.

This was part of the information released by JAMB itself…
And the JAMB spokesman’s argument was that she should have deferred to the text.

That’s a tenuous argument at best…
But in any case (and without prejudice to ongoing investigation), not proof of fraud.
