TMKsouth: The South African Police Service (SAPS) members have set upon Somali nationals’ shops in the coastal city of Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) after an eruption of violence saw several minibus taxis going up in flames on Wednesday.
The first scene of the violent chaos caught the public’s attention via a video posted on social media. It showed several taxis engulfed in flames during daylight on Durban Road.
The fiery disaster footage was soon followed by a report from a local radio station. It said the violent chaos was “an altercation between South African taxi drivers and Somalian shop owners.
“Police in Gqeberha and several other role-players are on scene at the taxi rank in Korsten where an altercation between taxi drivers and Somalian shop owners escalated. Several vehicles and a shop were set alight. This is a developing story image supplied,” the outlet said.
Another video that was shared on social media displayed what looked like Somali shop owners strolling down a road with heavy gun artillery.
With less than 24-hours since the carnage, SAPS officers headed for Somali-owned wholesale shops in Korsten with special mission guns in hands on Thursday.
A video has shown a large team of SAPS policemen raiding a building that resembles a wholesale shop before a man appeared to at the entrance to let the cops inside the property.
We can safely presume the location is where Somali shop owners could be hiding in safety from a possible attack from Gqeberha taxi drivers. Additionally, police could also be seen determined to arrest anyone who may be illegally possessing firearms as seen in the social media video.
Calm has since returned to the town although tensions remain.
See people that know what they are doing,if it were to be Nigerian they will run to SA embassy and be making noise that government abandone them as if anybody send them message to go there, but see Somalians rise and defend themselves.SA people are cruel have been their before so I know what am saying,if they give you shit give the shit back to them that's the language SA citizens understand.Nigerian are lazy to fight they only know out to bark on social media like mad dog.
Ndubuisipaul1: Abeg I don't have enough time to tell long story . But I will make sure I capture some of my experience in Lagos island.
Note : If you have not been to Lagos island please make sure you do before Jesus Christ come.
It's an experience worth having . I was opportuned to get a job with industrial cleaning company in Lagos . We clean houses of rich men before the they pack in .That was how I entered houses of rich men and celebrities in Lekki, Victoria Island Eko Atlantic etc.
I have entered Don Jazzy house , Ay Comedian, 2 face. Etc. More of non celebrity super rich billionaires.
I cried when I entered one Igbo guy house his name is Frances. I asked God one qestion " Lord why are some people so rich while some people are so poor in the same country"
People reading this comment who are currently in Lagos island will tell you that demon of poverty is no where around Lekki.
Some churches in Lagos island runs on 24 hour electricity . Example house on the rock. Brethren Some people are enjoying heaven here Earth. Although you can't compare heaven and Earth but some people have unimaginable wealth here in Nigeria .
Am just writing for people who have not been there . If you want to come to Lagos make sure you visit places around Lagos island.
Forget bro the rich also cry, don't let anything makes you challenge God fingers are not equal.just thank God as you are because God doesn't do mistake.
Mybrotheralso: He's the first born out of 5 children. He's doing his PHD and has his own business. He still lives with our parents. So he does not pay for house, food or water. But can you imagine this brother of mine who makes money from his business doesn't contribute to the house for the same food he eats, when he makes money he goes to hotels and sleep over with women and prefers to train and help outsiders than bring something to the family. Recently, he had the effontry to reject my mummy's food on the ground that it was served late. I simply asked my mom to stop putting food for him.
Honestly this brother of mine has never brought joy to my parents and siblings. He has had several accidents driving carelessly, yet my mom still takes care of it all and she has even stayed over in the hospital when he had the last accident and became unconscious.
They're just the kind of brother one will have and you wished you never had a brother , my brother is exactly that kind of brother anyone will wish not to have. Not to talk of his dubious nature, you can't do simple business with him without him cheating on you. I once was rearing one animal and had to send him money for feeds but can you believe he was billing me in excess. We also contributed money to renovate our father's house and he emphatically told us he bought something which he didn't actually buy.
I wonder why God gave us this kind of brother, he has been like this since we all knew something and hasn't changed for good. He has been sat down and talked to severally yet he will repent and still go back to his old ways .
So pathetic!
It happens everywhere.they should just leave him God may change him for good in no time.

I have never received money from a guy that's not related to me in my life. I am not interested in anybody's money.
I know the response might be immature but I'm not a rude person, I can't just block him and we've known each other for long.
You can't block him,and you are not a rude person we have know each other for long.so if your long time friend become thief you can't let him go because you have know him for long time.your days are numbered already.

A 37 years old lady chatted me two weeks ago, let's call her Ada. Ada came to me and complained that her husband's best friend from childhood who works in the same office with her husband and earns the same amount of salary saved up money, bought his wife a car and they went to Maldives for her 40th birthday.
Ada said she suspected her husband was cheating on her and he must have been giving money to another woman; that is why he's always broke. She wanted me to post it on my wall so that people will "advise her" on action to take to catch her husband. Because I do not post Junks on my wall, I started asking her some questions.
We did a messenger call. After much questioning and running back-to-back analysis without prejudice, we discovered some things.
Read carefully.
Ada's husband's childhood friend's wife works with a travel agency while Ada sells beads, zips and other tailoring items.
Childhood friend has 2 children. Twin boys of 17 who just entered university. Ada has 5 kids aged 2, 5, 8, 11 and 13.
Childhood friend is the last child out of 3 children, but Ada's husband is the 2nd born but first son out of 6 children.
Childhood friend has no father and mother again, but Ada's husband has a mother but no father.
Mrs Childhood friend's parents are retired Judges, but Ada's parents are in the village.
Mrs Childhood friend has just a younger brother who is an Air force officer and married with 2 kids, Ada has 3 younger siblings who are still struggling.
So suppose Ada's husband earns 300k, He would pay the school fees of 5 children of which two are toddlers, send money to his mother, sort out one or two bills for some siblings,
While Childhood friend would just pay for 2 children school fees, he has no younger siblings to cater for, his wife's parents are well taken care off, he has no parents to send money to.
Mrs Childhood friend with her knowledge with the travel agency she works with knows when to get good ticket prices, she knows when they get bonus, she knows those countries that offer Visa on Arival like Rwanda, Maldives, Uganda and the Rest. She has no younger siblings to care for so she can save up her salary or commission to grab some last minute flight deals.
But Ada is just zip and button seller; if she sells, she would send money to her siblings.
Both men work and earn the same, but their responsibilities are different... way way different.
By the time I highlighted these to her, she felt guilty. I made sure she saw these because she was the one answering the questions.
Sometimes, before you pressure yourself over someone's achievements, think of the responsibilities you have.
You might earn more than a person who has a flashy car and lives in a good apartment, but you have more responsibilities than that person.
Someone earning 40k might be living your dream life and traveling round the world, but you who is earning 150k would think your village people have tied your destiny.
People would wonder why you don't dress well. They would mock you that you don't know how to save money or plan your life like them, They will say upon all your money you can't afford iphone 13 or human hair or nice suits.
Check the bills you have to pay, Check the things that gulp your money and praise yourself. It's not everyone that even have the luxury of saving.
Some of us as the money comes, if we don't spend it on ourself and eat chicken and fish, our phone will ring and one person is asking for 5k.
You'll be paid 50k and in 30 minutes you're seeing something that resembles 2k in your account.
Some of you are actually doing better than you know, but you're so busy looking at other peoples farms and counting their achievements that you can't see yours.
Comparison leads to unhappiness.

big lie,did anyone here achieve upto dangote?the rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer.

dailybuzzng: NIGERIAN-SWITZERLAND BASED ARTISTE NAZ-B DROPS SINGLE TITLED "UNKNOWN GUNMEN", CRIES OUT SPATE OF VIOLENCE IN EASTERN REGION
Popular Nigerian-Switzerland based Celebrity Singer Naz-B has recently dropped a single titled "Unknown Gunmen". According to the International Artiste, the song was inspired by an unfortunate situation where a car he bought abroad and sent down to Nigeria for his mother was stolen by gunmen in Anambra State, with his family members stabbed severely.
He described the situation as unfortunate, with emphasis on the spate of violence ravaging eastern region of Nigeria, which is the the home of Igbos. He stressed that these unknown gunmen are sometimes Igbos killing fellow Igbo brothers claiming that these people are unknown gunmen. Naz-B related his true life experience in the song which he titled "Unknown Gunmen".
He further noted that he was being pushed to ask questions like "If other people hurt us, should we hurt ourselves too"?, "We say we're people of the church and are brilliant but we still harm ourselves, why"?, "Mothers do not deserve to watch their sons who they suffered to raise get injured or die"?, "Fathers should not go out to look for food for their families and also be scared that they won't go back home to them"?, "Children shouldn't have to wake up to the violent cracks of gunshots in the morning"?
However, Naz-B is optimistic that with his new release, the message of the incessant killings, violence and other criminalities in the Eastern region of Nigeria is given basic attention and addressed headlong. The Anambra born, Switzerland based international Artiste has remained deeply worried about the killings of his people in Anambra state and other parts of the Igbo land.
