Lagos claims to be a center of excellence and truly ought to be considering it was the former capital and has remained the flagship city. Such news coming out of there should disgust any well meaning Nigerian.

Igbo leaders in Lagos including market union members from Alaba should organize themselves with lawyers and engage INEC both at the Lagos zonal and national level. Afterwards, they should also take up paid newspaper adverts to broadcast this show of shame on national dailies and also grant interview to channels, AIT and other media houses. THEY MUST GIVE THIS SHOW OF SHAME AND NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT MASSIVE PUBLICITY IT DESERVES.

If we truly want to have one nation as politicians, including the desperate fossil who says that ruling Nigeria is his life ambition always parrot, then institutions must be allowed to work and people allowed to exercise their franchise as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution. If that's not possible, then we all should go our separate ways.

Meanwhile, INEC should send their staff with equipment to Alaba and ensure that traders who were turned back at their office are able to register.

I expect the madness that took place in Ojo, Lagos to be trending already so that everyone can understand the type of devil that is trying to foist himself on all Nigerians.

Already , Tinubu's bots are now goading the Igbos here on NL to see to it that they mount pressure on both the PDP and Atiku to have the VP slot zoned to them after losing woefully at the APC convention were they hoped on an Igbo VP to a Lawan ticket.

So when Atiku announces a SS running mate, the Igbos will now waste their votes on Peter Obi while Tinubu is sure to see a massive vote from the SW.

This ploy is another highly sophisticated move to goad the Igbos to disenfranchise themselves as an Obi vote to me is pure waste as he is going nowhere with just the SE votes.

The goal , if I must remind you, is to kick the APC out for good. Allowing Tinubu in will see to an end to any form of political opposition and will cement the Northern Muslim and SW alliance at the expense of every other peoples.

Don't waste your vote on Obi. His time or that of any Igbo is not now until the Igbos rehabilitate their battered reputation and image before the electorate.

A party selects and approves a flag bearer based on electoral value. The flag bearer also select a deputy based on his projections and an asset that will align and execute those programs.

We should all learn from Obasanjo error. He picked a deputy that did not align with his programs.

We must also learn from Buhari and leadership of 8th Assembly - Saraki & Dogara. Neither of them aligned with his projections.

If we can think constructively and use the lessons of past to retool the forward march into future we should incrementally see a new Nigeria emerge.

Even when it is uncomfortable a leader must have a conviction, a path forward that he believes in...and must adopt it. A leader has to be politically correct but there are times when political incorrectness is appropriate to resolve conflict and bring everyone to ground.

In the first convention Buhari was not shy to pick Abdullahi Adamu as preference and consensus, and bring everyone in line. Why was it hard for him to adopt a preference in primary?

Leadership is not an easy position and it must be demonstrated even in situations as you described. Buhari failed to demonstrate leadership by not adopting a preferred successor amongst these four people. It does not mean his preference would end up winning the primary.
