9jaRealist:The Party rules in America. If Chairman of Democrat Party says Nancy will be Speaker....that's what it is, she is Speaker! Same goes for Ryan if Republican says he is their choice. Hence neither of them would need such a consultation trip. Gbajabiamila is smart for working around the opposition against his nomination. If you don't want such consultation then respect Party's choice, simple! ![]() |
The most disturbing posture of Ihedioha, which is of particular concern to this Ihedioha’s aid and should also be of great concern to the entire Imo people, is Ihedioha’s mastery in fraud manipulations. It is revealed that Ihedioha commits budget fraud every time by placing roads worth billions of Naira in the same place, each overlapping the other. And as if this is not enough, he breaks them into phases one, two and phase three. He places these billions in obscure places, where nobody has interest to look at. When the funding of jobs on any phase is done, he keeps piling money on the same project, with the excess going into his pocket. This is what contributes to under-development and a state of high deficiency in SE. |
AmarachiNnoli:Thank you Jare, I even thought this was the stadium before inauguration when Ihedioha went around to inspect its readiness for his use on inauguration. The picture is getting clearernow. So can you explain what 2days old Governor Ihedioha is doing in an old picture taken many months or years ago? |

ExcelDeBaron:Why were they destroyed to begin with? On a competence scale of Far Exceed, Exceed, Meet, Does Not Meet and Needs re-Training, where does Imo State stand? We know Lagos is Far Exceed. An outgoing Governor left the State House better than he met it so his successor is ready to run from first day. In Imo on the other hand the outgoing governor left things in ruins and his successor is burdened on first day in office. Imo State needs re-Training to acquire competence in governance! ![]() |
QuotaSystem:You will do well to sit on the side and observe...so I don't have to expose your deficiencies on all fronts in the East. |
FriendNG:I told you already, you are emotional. Talk from facts. The fact and history supports our sophistry in politics, whether in ruling power or in opposition, whether as a regional government or in national government, Yoruba remains the political soul of Nigeria. I can take you back as far as 1950s and upto date. What propped up North for solong and gave you relevance was military. We are no longer in military system of governance and decrees. ![]() I also told you in previous post, no one who followed Ajimobi would be surprised that Oyo turned against him, the president was a collateral victim on the ground. APC won more seats than PDP in NASS OYO House of Representatives APC 9 SEATS PDP 4 SEATS ADP 1 SEATS SENATE APC 2 SEATS PDP 1 SEATS APC lead in Osun, in Ondo and even in Ogun. So I need you to tell me the specific SW state where APC suffered defeat beside these three (Oyo, Ondo, Ogun). What APC lost in presidential they more than made up for in NASS. |
FriendNG:Since you singled out Bauchi, then to be fair single out the SW state you are referencing. If you want to compare by region then do not single out one state, Bauchi, as example against SW as a region. |
FriendNG:If Kwankwaso has any political value you should be able to roll them out right now. He has none....and you are playing on forecast to elevate his relevance. What is his relevance today? Please share. Buhari was a liability that Tinubu turned into an asset, period! It all happened in Lagos. Buhari is not a politician and lacks foresight about political intrigues. He was basing his electability on his 1984/85 legacy and his uprightness. The two were liabilities in a democratic Nigeria under PDP's culture of corruption. Tinubu turned him around and the way he did it is playing the opposition game with PDP. Do you know how lawyers get criminals off the book and convince the court to give them freedom? By making their victim a worse criminal and making the court believe that his client is the true victim. Tinubu never said Buhari was a saint....but he convinced us in 2014 that PDP was satan. Even in 2018 Tinubu never said Buhari is competent...he put word out that Atiku's desperation is tied to PDP's corruption. I dont care if we have 10 zones....SW remains the King of them and earned the right to get the most infrastructures. Are you aware that SW contribution, economic and social, to the nation outweighs SS contribution from oil ? ![]() |
FriendNG:Of course he should be dissapointed, who in his right mind won't be? 1 - What happened in Oyo and Osun were people's rejection of Aregbe and Ajimobi, not because PDP was the main contender...heck no! APC card carrying members were voting PDP to punish those two. So get that straight... 2 - What happened in Ogun and Ondo were acts of treacheries..the governors kicked the ball into their own goals and gave their opponent victory. Separate the two, they are not the same at all. If Ogun and Ondo had not played wrong PDP would be grossly shamed in SW. So the PDP outcome in SW is not love...but rather statements! In fact, are you following whats going on in Ondo? Akeredolu turned against Tinubu and got Abuja backing to win governorship. Now he has realized his folly and is warming to Tinubu for help to win return. I doubt he will win a return. |
FriendNG:I think you are going on emotion and not on facts. The bottomline of everything that APC is today and into the future is the ACN component of the merger. In 2014, ACN was the opposition party to the ruling PDP. ACN had control of the commercial backbone of Nigeria. Behind PDPD they had more governors. Behind PDP they had more seat in NASS. In democracy number is the game, it's either you have it or you don't....and if you don't you ally with those that do. This is simple wisdom. You can spin your scripts anyway you want but Tinubu has the numbers and remains the principal game winner in APC. For some time to come, if you are not in Tinubu's camp your political future is at risk. Take it from me. After 2015 victory Buhari was falsely made to believe Tinubu is irrelevant and all he needed was Northern cabal to win a return in 2019. When Atiku got on the scene he quickly dumped his Northern cabal and pulled Tinubu close. What is Kwankwaso's politica value on a range of 1 to 10, 1 being very poor? |
jerryunit48:The Bini tradition is frozen in time. Such myths about Oba wives and many other ones they wave around might be relevant in 1500....in this 21st century it's nothing but a high-falluting! |
Sleeping with siblings is an abomination in any land, in any culture and in any religion. It is a matrimonial taboo. I doubt the story but if indeed this happened then it erodes all the super-natural myth erected around this king. What I noticed and found profound is seeing the supposedly very private king exhibiting the privacy of his most private affairs to the outside world. He might as well break the "Oba no dey travel" taboo and do what other kings have been doing.....travel more outside his enclave and fraternize, the days of some emperor locked in hibernation behind the city wall is far gone! |
Has it been confirmed that these pictures are indeed that of Imo State Government House? I remember the Governor was taken on tour before inauguration to the stadium and found the place in bad shape and commissioned contractors to quickly repair and renovate it. Are we sure these pictures are not that of the stadium? |

Thats suspicious. The voltage through the adapter has been stepped down significantly and the power feed to the handset is too low to electrocute a grown person. |
lefulefu:True word |
Bossjakande:For your information there are antidotes for such binds against infidelity. Beside that....he puts himself in harms way. There is something called crime of passion where women plot an escape from a monotonous and restricting union. A girl uses her charms and intrigue to hook a hero outside. The hero becomes enchanted and gets over himself and commits atrocities against the villain husband to free his angel. We hear stories everyday in news about such....i dont pray that for her....but a man must not worship the apple between a woman's thighs. No man who sees woman as a divine being and respect and honor her would be so petty to begin to imagine negativity around her. If he would put such restriction let it be "reactive" after she has betrayed trust....and not "proactive" to restrain. |
kennygee:Exactly! This tradition of "you cant cheat on me" forced on her is my only disagreement with their union. This guy is over 60 with 4 or 5 wives ahead of young Regina, and probably will get more after her.....and all he thinks of her is cheating on him. In his position he ought to be more accomodating and trusting than this. |
ifyalways:Thats when people say " I feel you"! ![]() She can relate. |
kennygee:Until now, getting full revelation of the meaning of that traditional marriage, I supported their choice. For him to lock her into a spiritual bond of fidelity is cruel. This in essence is same as putting magun on her. Very wicked, and Im on Shan's side on the matter. To exaggerate, I dont see anything amiss with a 80yr old marrying a 18yr old girl, or a 20yrl old man marrying a 90yr old woman ...choices and circumstances! People should be free to enter into marriage of convenience and be respected as we respect those entering marriage of love. However, it is wrong to tie down someone's fate spiritually. No wonder the girl is sour and sullen at the ceremony. Her spirit rejects the ritual, she just couldnt speak. Ned Nwoko is cruel for taking her through that rite...i dissaprove. |
Niaja4real:Lol. In Nigerian politics you can do anything you want, even things forbidden by constitution, if you are bold |
tsdarkside:Even today as we speak Iboland remain headquarter of homosexuality in West Africa. |

Babacele:- death - resignation - incapacitation - moral indictment - crime conviction - impeachment ....expiration of electoral term is not one of them. |
adekolaelect:No, not true! Lets get this straight guys....the electoral term expires; the Oath remains active until it is re-administered....for continuation or for new occupant. When a new Senate President takes Oath of Office, then Saraki's Oath becomes invalid. |
Dont mind them jare. I doubt this shyyte came from VP, this is handiwork of mischief bloggers running errand for Saraki. The statutory provision is clear - the term of the Executive pair expires 4yrs after their swearing in but....their Oaths of Allegiance and Office remains valid and active until a new Oath is administered to mark beginning of new term. The Presidency never expires even though the tenure ends. In other words, if for some reason on 28th of May we were attacked from outside by a warring force, then the Commander in Chief will declare emergency and the inauguration of 29th will be put on hold. Lets say it took a month to sort things and lift emergency.....So his 4yrs electoral term ended on 5/28 but he is renewing Oath on 6/30, the pair of Buhari/Osinbajo will remain the Presidency (Executive), not Saraki. I dont know where this d0mb idea that Senate President can seize power from a lapse in 4yr electoral term come from. Quite insulting! . |
MOHAMMED MOMOH An outlawed secessionist group's call for work boycott in southern Nigeria on Thursday was ignored by residents and businessmen who went about their businesses normally. More than two million people died in the secession war and the call on Wednesday, May 28, to residents of 11 southern states by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra was meant to honour them. Coming so soon after 140 of its members were arrested last week and amid warnings from the state, residents opted to continue with their daily activities. That was with the exception of Onitsha, the commercial centre of Anambra state, where one of the main markets was shut down. In Enugu, the traditional capital of the Igbo people of the East, Ebonyi, Abia, and Imo business went one normally. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Enugu state command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, reported that there were some arrests in the university town of Nsukka over organising unlawful procession and display of proscribed items on the streets. Others were arrested for chanting inciting songs against the nation. The Federal High Court in Abuja on Sept. 21, 2017, backed President Muhammadu Buhari’s Executive Order outlawing IPOB and declaring its activities as acts of terrorism. IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu fled Nigeria in 2018. There were no signs of compliance as the roads were busy with vehicular traffic and people going about their activities. Markets and banks in the metropolis, including Kenyatta, Garki and Akwata, including banks were opened for customers. Residents who spoke to Africa Review said they ignored the work boycott because they were pre-occupied with earning a living. A businessman, Mr Francis Ugochukwu, said people had also been frustrated by the sit-ins failing to achieve meaningful results over time. "IPOB has deceived us a lot with its seat-at-home orders and at the end of the whole thing nothing changes,” Ugochukwu said. However, there was heavy presence of security in some states. The sit-at-home call was condemned by the Igbo Youth Assembly Worldwide, a socio-cultural group, which said it could expose the community to hatred by other ethnic groups and marginalisation by the government. “Ndi Igbo are the owners of most businesses and establishments outside Igboland. Instead of promoting and propagating national integration and peaceful co-existence among Nigerians, misguided groups and elements are trying to isolate Igbos from national engagements," the President-General of the assembly, Mazi Ifeanyi Nwudunna said in Abuja on Thursday. He accused IPOB of using “cheap blackmail’’ against the government of President Muhammadu Buhari. https://www.theeastafrican.co.ke/news/africa/Nigeria-Igbos-ignore-separatist-group-s-work-boycott-call-/4552902-5138050-4lbjsv/index.html |

BleedingPen: ![]() If you want to display your ignorance about the constitution please choose a different time, not so soon after the whole nation performed a constitutional rite and inaugurated a president. The office was not vacant. How could Saraki occupy it, in whatever capacity? Im going to soon start a civic class to teach constitution and process. People like you should enroll and pay me to learn a knowledge thats openly accessible and free since you lack intelligence. |
