Wisdom58:Meehn! I love this Governor! Kwara State is about to have a turn around, do you hear me....this is what we need. Governors with wisdom and magnanimity. He is focusing on the present and a way forward for his people. God bless Governor AbdulRazak. Im adopting you as my Governor from now on! |
ChristianNorth:You are trying to be politically correct. Mmtchewww, if i catch you. |
Halima, good job! This is how to treat trolls. Be nice and satisfy their curioaity and intrusion with maturity. Awon were, alakori! Wetin concern them? |
If we say we will shut down the bridge for our people to do some rituals to the water deities now....na una go dey cry say its backward, its ancient, its archaic, it will inconvenience. The truth of the matter is this is not a short span bridge. This bridge crosses over more than one body of water but you can't tell if you are not knowledgable about the history of the many ebutes that bank these waters at different points. This long bridge is crossing territories that are sacred. The sacredness is violated everyday. Govt should talk to traditional rulers so they can bring out Yemoja cult and do the do! |
If you index photos of Nigerians, men and women, in voluntary nude pose, over 97% are Ibo and it all happened in Lagos. Moreover they are all in the entertainment industry. Ohanaeze and leaders of the ethnic group need to address this. It is a dent on Ibo culture and repute. |
Is it possible the delay could have been result of backdoor intervention to keep him silent from unlocking skeletons hidden in the party closets? It is reported that he was late but no report if the press conference held or was cancelled. We left the substance and focused on the form, 2pages and counting.... The fact no followup on the conference, Lagos Elders have intervened and Ambode has respected their solicitation. |
God bless Governor Abdulrazak! |
Sad to hear. May her soul rest in peace. |
KristaPretty:Miyetti Allah is mocking your governor and this is the most you have for response. That cow herder is smarter than you. Read his request a second time....lets see if you understand what he is telling your governor to do. Its not about grazing route so dont go wild. Calm down, read what that fulani is requesting and interprete it. You call them illiterate...prove you are better than him. ![]() |
macof:Oba gbesele is not absolute! The inferrence is Oba having first right of interest in a woman, not necessarily claiming any woman. If your statement is correct an Oba would gbesele his own mother, aunt, sister, daughter. Please be measured and not give interpretation broadly to that phrase. It is true Oba can gbesele but there are fences around that. Oba's adversaries and opponents often loose their wives to Oba as a show of public humiliation and harassment....and the husband has no recourse in court. Mothers, sisters, aunts, siblings are no go areas...and is because of genetic orders. No sir....that invite from colonials is the first time it is written and distributed widely that Ooni travelled out of palace. Thats not first time in history the Ooni would travel. They kept stables in Ooni palace. There are ancient Ife arts with a crowned head on mounted back. I agree with you....but i have come to accept that i gain by engaging some people even if our view points are opposed because they share tangibles that add to my knowledge. I ignore many more because they are incapable of advancing my knowledge. |
googi:You have heard the phrase "it's not what you say, but how it is said". Youruba language does not just teach speech, it also teaches situational judgement and relational dynamics. For instance... there is a car approaching from behind, on a narrow road, and there is an elderly person immediately infront of you. You want to sound the alarm to have the senior move to side. You do not have to say "E yago". Just say "oko n'bo. ![]() |
macof:Yoruba culture does not support marrying siblings. In fact the reason that Yoruba do "ida ana" (familiarity with inlaws) is partly to explore past connections, exchanges and make sure the new bethrothal is permissible and does not cross lines of what is disallowed. On a non travelling Oba, some people in an online discussion had attempted to ascribe same f00lish attribute to Ooni as the Edos do to Omo n'Oba by suggesting that on the occassion he had to travel to to Lagos and mediate on the issue of dynasties and beaded crowns he was actually in contravention of tradition and culture and an Ooni must not travel. That was bullchyte and I shut it down with a good measure bullchyte in their face. In that event it was reported that all Obas in Yorubaland vacated palace and would not return to throne until Ooni was safely back on his throne. There are hundreds of Obas that must have done that simple task. How did they know what to do when they heard of their Ooni taking a trip? Its because the culture had a process for such traditional rites. So it must be the practice otherwise Obas would not have known what is required of the occassion. Glorification of the Benin stool has taken many dimensions echoed up and down the soclai strata from most educated Edo to the most ignorant urchin and they all seem to agree that their Oba does not travel, traditionally. So we have on records Oba of Benin travelling to meet and participate in a congregation of Yoruba Obas. An Oba will break tradition for a higher hierarchy. An Oba whose tradition forbids travel except to attend meeting with Ooni suggests he is submitting to a hierarchy greater than his tradition. This should be accepted, if nothing else to prove, as acknowledgement of the Supremacy of Ooni over Omo n'Oba. |
midolian:Saraki does bow to the Emir. Thats him in picture. |
babdap:Is that not Saraki in first picture, between green hat and the Governor? |
Osagyefo98:Islamization is one thing....isolating yourself from humanity is another and separate issue. Your brother not long ago refused to fly unless safety instruction is read in Ibo. Whats wrong with someone saying Eid Mubarak to you? Does that now make you a non-christian? You accuse Hausa of rwligious fanaticism....Ibos are worse fanatics. |
Can someone please translate Eid Mubarak into Ibo for me. So i can greet them in their language. Ibos are not against the greeting, they are upset that it is sent in Arabic. Do you all not recall a passenger on a domestic flight that caused chaos and delayed airplane from taking off because safety instructions were not read in Igbo? |
The Ibos that live in SW and go home once a year are bad role models for those at home. You can see in this picture that the couple tried to copy what their migrant brothers and sisters do but they are not skilled in how to do it or wear Yoruba clothes. I feel bad for them and wish them happy married life. I blame migrant Ibos for laying bad example at home. |
eneojoedu:There are lots of statements in that single picture. Thats a snicker...also called a smirk! ...but watch the handshake, it's uncultured to "grip" a traditional ruler like that. Sanusi's response is that of disdain and resignation in the moment but Im sure this body language confirms for him that the governor has him in a "clutch", literally. I saved this picture....this is history and indicator for many hostilities to follow between the two. |
If she had come to naija for Uni we will be talking about sexual harrassment case, not advertisement scam. Professors in UK want money, the ones here want pussy. Each to its own! |

Deomelo, I thought State Hous eof Assemblies have copies of State's Financial records....or is it done differently in Imo? |
Wow! Im beginning to love this Ihedioha already. This is the kind of leaders we want for Iboland. The guy must serve 8yrs in office. This is a no nonsense governor! Brave and Bold, a true Igboman! ![]() |
Here is my recommendation to AIT... NBC is regulator of narrow-band radio waves broadcast - such as tv, radio and short-band radio transmissions. On the other hand, NCC is the regulartor of broadband radiowave and internet communications. Actually, NCC only regulate operation, they cannot reguate content over internet. So kakaaki's broadcast should go over broadband ...or at best take it to internet and broadcast as multimedia. Internet multimedia exchanges have very minimum to zero regulation. The reason places like Nairaland and whatsapp can exist and operate freely is because their contents is within a zero-jurisdiction platform. Internet is open-sourced,no one owns it and no country have mandate on the contents. Kakkaki should work around NBC. |
Banmeallday:Let Prof. Akintola see your response. Yeye. Oya give me translation jare |
How do I say it in Ibo language? Somebody please translate EID MUBARAK into Ibo for me so I can add it up there. Thanks. To all Muslims coming out of 30days fasting, I congratulate us on the successful completion and wish for us to witness with health and wellness to participate in many more Ramadhan into the future. Amen! ![]() |
Ihedioha is only fit to sell spare parts at Ladipo Market. This is a clown, worse than Okorocha. Una go soon find out |
This Governor is raising false alarm. Ibo women love Fulani attention and they look forward to be mounted when herders start arriving in planting season. Look at Ibo woman in her cucumber farm, is this proper?
|
Very nice. God bless and reward him plenty. |
![]() I wanted to comment on the article by OP but after reading comments and posts I am left speechless. Nairaland is something else....a gathering spot, a temple, a joint, a war-room for looneys. |
dadavivo: Your own people are at fault for advertising him unecessarily.BeforeInauguration... Mr Ihedioha receives his son, Governor-Elect Governor-Elect Ihedioha travels to US Governor-Elect Ihedioha in US Mall Governor-Elect Ihedioha commissions stadium renovation Governor-Elect Ihedioha smiles at camera After Inauguration .... Governor Ihedioha inspects damages in Government House toilet Governor Ihedioha appoints Chief of Staff Governor Ihedioha say Okoroawusa has not handed over notes Governor Ihedioha disputes 43billion left by Okoroawusa As far we are concerned we knew Ihedioha is a mediocre and a thief. Remember he has been in NASS for many years so he is not new face. Do us a favor, if you dont want us to jump on your Governor case stop portraying him as a machiavellian legend. ![]() |
Lamasta:The market woman selling fish have more knowledge about the specie than you do. The difference is grammar. Our useless Universities take our money, waste our time, abuse future leaders, all just so we can speak good grammar, wear suit and tie and sit behind a desk instead of in the market stall. Greatest scam in the world! ![]() |
