Best comment I have seen on nairaland.

naijacutee: Africa is not cursed. It is people who through their actions choose to become a curse to themselves.

- When a man has a wife, but chooses to sleep around with promiscuous University students (for one reason or the other) and contracts HIV, he has chosen to become a curse for himself.
- When a girl, instead of studying decides that she wants Peruvian hair, and chooses to sleep with promiscuous older men, she has chosen to become a curse for herself.
- When a man is given a contract to fix a road, and he chooses to not just inflate the price but also to do a bad, unsustainable job so that he can buy a hummer that year, he has chosen to become a curse to his community.
- When a student decides that it is better to pay someone to sit his exams than to do the hardwork, study and pass, he has chosen to become a curse to himself and anyone who employs him in the future.
- When we celebrate that 'brother' in church who just bought a new car, (even though we know he does dodgy deals) we choose to become a curse to ourselves.
- When we sell our votes for N10,000, we choose to become curses to ourselves and our children.

"Poverty made me do it." is no longer an excuse. In all the scenarios above, these people would have survived without having to seek shortcuts, but chose not to. Africa is not cursed. We bend down and select our curses for ourselves.

So typical of the Muslim hypocites to come out and play the victim game. Where have they been all these years their bokoharam guys have been killing innocent people. So much for the so called religion of peace. If I had my way, Sharia will not have a place in our society.

Soon those guys will deport themselves without any immigration officer when they see the true colours of the Jews and not what their pastors have been preaching.
Jews are extremely racist and you don't stand a chance as a black person in thqt country.

Politics › Re: Thabo Mbeki’s Verdict On Nigerians by mickyarams: 10:32am On Nov 25, 2013
Whilst I think Nigeria has serious problems, Mr mbeki should shut up and look at his own country which has one of the highest crime rates in the world due to poverty among the blacks. There are still places in South Africa where blacks are not allowed in their own land, you guys should look up on Kleinfontein . Was it not in South Africa last year that the police opened fire on black workers working in mines owned by the whites because they want a wage review.

I sold my PES14 and has now gone back to PES13.

orgasticdance: Lol, i just installed pes 14 on my pc and i also noticed the first time shot issue, it affects rebounds and corners especially( when u cross a boll, a player controls it on his chest instead of nodding it first time like wtf) . Meh, ive dumped the game and won't play it till feb or so after patches become available. but i wont be holding my breath knowing how unreliable konami are. fifa 14 plays decent but it just doesnt feel as organic(cant explain) as pes.

chelsea win's the match....he will
slap him two times...but if Arsenal
win's...then ochoku will slap
akpors.
(All these happend in the dream) After the dream, akpors woke up
and was very happy.
After two days....akpors heard
Teleportation, that matter can dematerialise( break into simple units) and reassemble elsewhere, is a very weird concept. Imagine I can appear where Mukina is right now and give him a dirty slap. lol
Levitation also, particle physics is a big cock and bull story
A team of University of Queensland physicists has transmitted an atom from one location to another inside an electronic chip.
The team, which includes Dr Arkady Fedorov and Dr Matthias Baur from UQ's ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems and the School of Mathematics and Physics, published its findings in Nature this month.
Dr Fedorov said the team had achieved quantum teleportation for the first time, which could lead to larger electronic networks and more functional electronic chips.
"This is a process by which quantum information can be transmitted from one place to another without sending a physical carrier of information," Dr Fedorov said.
"In this process the information just appears at the destination, almost like teleportation used in the famous science fiction series Star Trek."
Dr Fedorov said the key resource of quantum teleportation was a special type of correlation, called entanglement, shared between a sender and a receiver.
"Once entanglement is created, this 'impossible' information transfer becomes in fact possible thanks to laws of quantum mechanics," Dr Fedorov said.
"For the first time, the stunning process of quantum teleportation has now been used in a circuit to relay information from one corner of the sample to the other.
"What makes our work interesting is the system uses a circuit, much like modern computer chips.
"In our system the quantum information is stored in artificial structures called quantum bits, and you can even see them with your bare eyes.
"This is surprising because people typically expect quantum only at atomic scales, not even visible with electronic microscopes.
"This quantum information allows us to do teleportation with impressive speed and accuracy above what has been achievable to date."
"In our Superconducting Quantum Devices laboratory at UQ we are using this technology to further enhance our knowledge about the quantum nature," Dr Fedorov said.
"Eventually this technology will be used to create more powerful devices."
This research indicates that questions relating to the physics of quantum communication can be addressed using electronic circuits at microwave frequencies.

I have been a console gamer the majority of my life and still love console gaming and always will. After seeing youtubers talk about pc gaming and how much better it is then console gaming, my interest in pc gaming became very high. Once I got my own gaming PC I can safely say I can never go back, the deals, mods, community make pc gaming the ultimate gaming platform there is and I just love it. I just wanted to know how many of you are pc gamers and console gamers and if your a console gamer if you could explain why you don't like pc game.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Speaks-out Against Same-sex Marriage At The UN by mickyarams: 6:36pm On Oct 23, 2013
Miss EZ: Nigeria has far bigger problems than gay marriage. Insecurity, poverty, education, employment, corruption should be the major cause of concern and not gay marriage. One thing the Nigerian government is good at is distracting people from the main issues. I have noticed Nigerians love to be distracted as long as they can blame someone or something for their woes.

I am NOT in support of a homosexual lifestyle, however, the gay bill is very stupid and a violation of the human rights of the people. It is not the governments business who a person sleeps with as long as it does not involve sexual abuse, rape or pedophilia. Everyone has that right to privacy. To give homosexuals 14 year imprisonment term as against Boko Haram who often gets 3-5 years is really daft and stupid. Misplaced priorities all around. God will help this country.

Nigerian Government should focus on more pressing issues such as corruption, insecurity, education, infrastructural development, healthcare, etc. Once those things are settled, we can begin to worry about homosexuals.
Nice points darling, just reading the comments on this thread makes me think you are hitting your head against a brick wall. Too many ignorance on display here, and you wonder why the country is screwed up.
