The turning point in this story is that when he was able, he didnt pay back your money. That one was concrete enough for you to confront him because people like this tend to be very manipulative and they make you feel that you are just crying over nothing You just have to tell him the truth, though it may be hard. And that truth is that you dont like his behaviour and he should leave you and your food alone Sorry, i know you may not be used to confrontation but if you do this one, it will be easier for you the next time I had this problem when someone kept visiting me to use up my make-up and hair products instead of budgeting money to buy her own. After a while I just lost my temper and she didnt try it again If I run out of products before my next money comes and start moving about looking untidy and tattered, is it the lady or me who will collect the insult? If you faint in your class or fail your paper now due to lack of food, whose fault is it? Your parents didnt give birth to you, watch you grow, suffer to send you to school all so you could end up as his slave abeg |
VickyRotex:Yes I agree with you, hopefully they will do something about it. Although its not just on NL but on facebook and other social media. Its more of an issue of internet culture and etiquette in Nigeria. Then more widely speaking, an issue of morality and respect for our humanity. Maybe because of the harsh environment we have found ourselves in, some people dont even realise that what theyre doing is wrong But NL can still set an example since its a heavyweight and very influential |
galadima77:wouldnt it be better if they provided incentives for those who take on corpers? so that they will see some advantage in doing it, since obviously they dont care for them right now carrot rather than stick |
if they can dismantle some of the structures that are holding people who have been in power for decades up, both old and young people of sufficient merit and character will be able to come forward Not really an issue of age anymore but one of access (on which age has an effect). The complicated web of connections and influences that governs politics in this country needs to be broken before we will see anything meaningful Look at imo state, Okorocha was trying to start that same rubbish there but they managed to free themselves All those yahya bello, bla bla im sure theyre owing a lot of money to cartels that helped them to campaign, and they need to pay back. thats why theyre leeching money everywhere. maybe if they were about 20 years older, they would have been self-sufficient enough to campaign without owing their lives to anybody It is the system that is broken, nobody cares how old somebody is as long as they do a good job |
DanDeeBoss:And you too! |
sirusX:Yes thats true. So is it the education system that didnt do well, then? in preparing graduates For example someone who studied banking and finance, management, accountancy, marketing (mass comm), even just plain mathematics, what was so bad that they needed how many months of extra training? |
DanDeeBoss:Lol thank you, good morning |
armstrongkevwe:You cant even complete the simple task of reading, comprehending and answering the question that i posed, yet Im the one lacking intellectual reasoning Ok o! ![]() |
sirusX:ok i understand. they should have let me in, even if its just to sweep and mop the floor. what a year it was |
DanDeeBoss:anyway i think its a wider question about the role of corpers in this country. Somebody shows up to your establishment ready to work for free or very little and you'll be doing your face ![]() banks used to take corpers, and if you did well they would retain you. but they stopped. i would like to know why because my suffering could have been abated mtchew! |
planetx:Its somehow right? Even on facebook people will still be doing it instead of taking notes from other countries. too bad if you dont love yourself then nobody will |
DanDeeBoss:Yes and they have that school at Effurun (spelling). maybe because we produce oil. because ordinarily a chemical engineer can work with a range of industrial materials thats another thing. they dont want to pay them? Or because they dont want outsiders looking in on their shady practices when they are signing dodgy contracts? lol but its like asking why banks stopped taking corpers. Why if i had the chance i would i have gone to a bank. At least let me enjoy AC small ![]() |
eyinjuege:Yes and leave the teaching to those who studied Education! i always felt it was an insult to them when they just pushed everybody to schools anyhow. so people who studied how to teach children, is their qualification a waste ![]() |
DanDeeBoss:Is a petroleum engineer not a specialised chemical engineer? is it not down to the courses you took during university and the project you defended? so how would the government complain? im getting confused lol |
onmyowncj:Lol. which other courses are politicised? Medicine? |
. |
Lol! they will be so happy. I remember how they used to complain about it. I used to think -_- the rest of us nko? I hope their heads wont begin to swell because of this Let them sign bills for the rest of us na ![]() Modified: But maybe i misunderstood. There are different types of engineering, right? People are saying that there arent enough companies but must all engineers work in a company? Chemical engineers can be posted to nnpc, biotechnologists can go to labs, cant they Those people that design wheelchairs for people with spinal cord injuries and incubators for premature babies, dont they work in hospitals?I thought engineering was a difficult and sought-after course that requires robust aptitude for science and mathematics. What kind of engineering are we talking about that apparently there are so many of them that they are pouring out of the cracks in the wall? This is a genuine question and not an insult before engineers come for me ![]() |
VickyRotex:Thats what im wondering because im sure posting pictures like this is illegal in some countries And things like this are what give oyibo license to see us as sub-human. We look dispensable, because we treat ourselves cheaply and badly Even yesterday they were showing a picture of one sickly girl who fell to the ground after River State College of health was raided. She was in a state of confusion and her laps were showing. I was wondering, have they even asked for her permission? is it not embarrassing for her? Please you people should stop it o |
This is lovely They should teach me ohh...one of my teachers taught me to play in primary school but i have long since forgotten. Nowadays when i see people playing it i feel _stupid i cant even get past the "practice" level on my phone lol |
Spilled tomato sauce instead of spilled blood... #issorait Guess the owner will be feeling bad tho.. Enyimbamercedes: and whats wrong with that. is it not just to wash it ![]() |
ThinkWISELY:Lol behave yourself o. Nkem Owoh na heartthrob? ![]() Even me i wanted to see Kanayo O Kanayo on the list but i think im only part of a minority that crushes on him ![]() |
Lol this thread such a blast from the past. RIP Muna I still catch some old episodes of issakaba on youtube at times I cant stand the new generation Nollywoods, they are stilted and awkward. After some minutes I just get annoyed and turn them off. An exception i can think of is the wedding party |
adekolaelect:I agree with you but i think i goes further than just the system and constitution. Even developed countries have corruption scandals once in a while. The difference is that they have a well-oiled system of checks and balances, manned by (well-paid! well-fed! valued!) officials to hold people to account I think the problem is the people (who made the system and who are in control of the system) rather than just the system itself Something like the "Swiss cheese" model |
ainas247:youre welcome |
dipopooo:Lol. you wont complain but those people will its a sign of laziness and excess if youre too big- they have to set a good example for the people they are ruling and its a sign of lower class if you are big there. That means you eat cheap, poor-quality food The opposite of our rulers here! ![]() |
Xander85:Lol. i thought you were talking to that guy up there about breasts. I was about to explain that breasts have an aesthetic as well as functional value ...never mind ! |
dipopooo:she has but she's keeping shape. when she gives it a break or when she is pregnant she looks if she gets too big people will start complaining |
. |
ainas247:She is the wife of the queens grandson, Prince William and she has 3 children, 2 boys and a girl |
Hoodbilonia:its a good advice just modify that "Im sure she was on earpiece" since its insulting Even me i have done that before and a bus conductor admonished me as i was passing so people need to know RIP to the deceased though..sorry dear.. |
So we're still debating over refineries after all these years. Its a pity Will the wike and amaechi 10-part series currently playing out even allow anybody to go there ![]() |
ElsonMorali:Exactly. It really boggles the mind. Unless they just like it like that ![]() Well we cant really talk. Even if its not the same person, we've allowed ourselves to be oppressed by the same group of people for decades now. So we cant throw stones |
