Read about the origin and history of this things.
Read about church and eccelesia.

I
You keep saying that but I can't see anything sinister about either of them. The early church was not perfect, neither did it develop without being influenced by the surrounding culture.

That does not take away from the truth of the Resurrection of Christ.

Happy Sunday!

Rather give to church of satan

There's really nothing like church.

That's why I said you should read up on EARLY DEVELOPMENT OF CHRISTIANITY.
That's a broad subject, why don't you summarise what I need to know?

Anyway with the bolded statements I can see that you're not serious.

I hope that you can one day accept the healing light of Christ into your life, bye!

It's not even needed.

Check the origin of church and ecclesia.

Baffles me , Jesus didn't tell you.
Giving to the church is necessary.
Christianity Etc › Re: Signs You Are Losing Faith In God by midnighter(f): 3:30pm On Jan 05, 2020
maynia:
It's not.

Giving to others is necessary.
Tithing is necessary, generosity is also necessary.

The two are not mutually exclusive so there was no need to mention that unless you were being disingenuous.

Crusade too is wrong.
There is no cause that has killed people more than Christianity not even Islam.
You may be right about that, however the truth of the Cross is not negated by human failure.

honey, i want 2 ask u two pertinent questions. 1. Can one be made holy by works alone? 2. what are ur thoughts on tithing?
Viciheaka:
let me try
1-no
2-tithing will not take you to heaven
I think that's a good answer. Though it's still necessary to tithe.

I love your faith-filled mindset unlike some confused ones here who are still exhibiting the signs of loss of faith even after reading the head post
It's good to ask questions but I notice that most of the people writing this type of comment focus on the wrong thing and end up missing the point.

You will see now they will mention me with one random quote from Judges or Deuteronomy which is totally irrelevant to the main issue

In case you don't know let me blow your mind. There are so many circumstances that are beyond our control. Decade we were born, season, family and geographical location we were born and death etc.

You call it lucky but what about those that hardly will Christian missionaries get to their reach (countries/nation), or what should happen to those that cannot make their own choices by them selves not to talk about their family and cultural ideology that is against those willing to accept the "TRUTH"

The truth is that the same way you are feeling lucky about the choices you made is the same way they feel pity for you for you have made wrong choice.

But the problem now is that "What is the TRUTH?"
You don't get it! You don't get it.

What is the number one problem of the human condition?

Why do we need to get to those remote communities that don't yet know Christ? What are they missing and lacking? What are they yearning for?

Christian missionaries or colonizers?

Everybody with their own truth.

Christianity comes from Judaism, you know?

READ ABOUT THE EARLY DEVELOPMENT OF CHRISTIANITY.

BRAINWASHED.
There is only one truth; that is the truth of the Cross and the perfect sacrifice of Christ Jesus.

This is the only way one can stand, fully justified, in the presence of God.

Christianity came from Judaism and Judaism was established in the first place as a metaphor for the fact that HUMAN ENDEAVOUR ALONE CAN NEVER BE SUFFICIENT in maintaining a relationship with the Almighty God. You must always fail someway, somewhere, somehow and end up back at square one.

This is why we need an intercessor or a mediator to remove the shame and stench of our sin so that we will be able to enter into His perfect presence.
Christianity Etc › Re: Signs You Are Losing Faith In God by midnighter(f):
maynia:
The truth is a lie.

Read on the origin of Christianity.

Even the Qur'an is more authentic and untampered than the PROTESTANT bible.
One intelligent moniker made a very beautiful point on here a few days ago, and that is this:

Authenticity is not the point; validity is.

It doesn't matter who "tampered" with what, as far as the truth outs in the end. This is the validity of the message of the Cross, no matter how much has been chopped and changed. The point is that Christ Jesus died to save us from punishment for sin, which is total and eternal death.

Being "authentic" doesn't matter. You can be "authentic" for thousands of years with the same preserved, "untampered with" wrong message.

The Qur'an may be the same as it was when it was "revealed" in the 7th century CE, but that doesn't change the fact that it is totally WRONG.

Christian missionaries or colonizers?
Colonisation was wrong. Neo-colonialism is wrong. Imperialism is wrong. Malevolent political interference is wrong, racism is wrong, exploitation is wrong and yet the truth of the Cross still prevails and God uses our sin and folly for the greater good and to show His glory.

That's what they told you.

If you were born in India or China , they will tell you another thing.
And then Christian missionaries would still come and tell me THE TRUTH of the Cross, whereby I would have my own choice to make.

Granted, I am lucky that my choice doesn't hurt my family or alienate me from my culture which is what makes it easier for me than my brethren in India and China.

But that doesn't make the truth any less true.

Hahahaha cheesy "intellectual", please ride on smh

PS. Please go and read on the concept of "redemption" before making a mockery of yourself in public bahaha

Jesus took away the punishment so that you would be free from death due to sinful nature and not to ginger you to do whatever you want.

Anybody who was truly grateful for such a sacrifice would obey Jesus' commandments out of appreciation and not look for ways to circumvent them.

Im sure you just curse and insult your parents anyhow, after all they wont disown you right? Smh

Have you heard of the message of NJỌKỤ?
Jesus came to die for our sins, being able to do so because he was both fully man and fully God.

Does Njoku satisfy those criteria?

What if you're not a Christian? What if you belong to a different denomination of Christianity that believes different things?
If you want to preach to people, hold crusades and invite people to attend. Or you can approach people and request to speak with them (like Jehovah's Witnesses do) and if they acquiesce, then you can share what you wish with them. Don't invade people's private or public spaces without their consent to start shoving your "word" down their throats. It's a very bad, very uncivilized behavior that Nigerian Christians - especially Pentecostals - have.

What is the name of their paganism.
The thing is this if you don't get it yet.
Christianity is their paganism.
If you know what paganism means then we don't need to fight.
A Christian, Muslim, hindu, whatever Igbo Is confused.
If not you will be just IGBO.
Christianity is Europe's paganism UNIFIED. since you want to throw in the paganism stuff.
What has that got to do with me ad you who are not Europeans?
Why do you need a European pagan God Tobe saved as an igbo person?
Does it make sense to you?
What did your fathers of 5k years (when Christianity did even exist) pray to?
Has European paganism made you and me any better?
What is omenala / omenani?
If you define omenala / omenani for me I will know how to explain this concepts to you...
You dont get it; there is Roman, Celtic and Norse mythology and pagan practice that influenced the Europeans and in turn influenced us when they brought Christianity

That doesnt make the message of Jesus Christ wrong

Meanwhile tell me this.... Do you know that Christianity is oyibos traditional religion?
Oyibo have their own paganism which influenced the way they practised Christianity and brought it to the world.

That does not make Christianity "oyibo traditional religion". It only means we should be objective when considering which parts of our culture contravene Christianity and we should resist the temptation to throw our custom away due to inferiority complex.

I thought the cross is enough na. I thought your son of god has died on the cross for your sins and you're covered with grace, so why do you need repentance again?

Christianity and self-contradiction are 5&6. Yet they'll be following people upandan: "Bros please I want to explain chisos to you". When you engage them in simple intellectual discussion the next thing you'll hear is; "you can't understand, you need grace and the spirit of god before you can understand".

Hey, why the freakin EFF did you call me to "explain" what is unexplainable?!

No Igbo Yoruba Hausa tiv efik Ibibio ijaw kanuri fulani berom Nigerian African Asian NEEDS A EUROPEAN GOD TO BE SAVED.
While we have focused on the Igbo people only because I am Igbo...
Understand that everything in European church and Middle Eastern mosque are inferior to what is in African spirituality especially the scientific Igbo spirituality backed by its ideologies (ntọ ala), philosophies (ọdịnala) laws (iwu ala) and culture abi customs and traditions (omenala)
If I break these things down you will know why the Christians fought igbos for over 100 years and continue to fight them till this day.
So calm down.
The God you seek is in you.
If you want to lead a righteous life.... Only you can make it happen.
I can explain... But not on nairaland because I am too lazy to be typing if not there are many threads I would have made concerning certain issues that Wil open lots of eyes.
Excuse me, dont you think there is a place for both orthodox and native philosophy in our lives?

I have read several sources concerning omenani; I still think we should be Christians...

Do you even know what led to the US invasion of Iraq and how it was later revealed that they used lies to accomplish this? They confessed to this themselves that all they wanted was Iraqi Oil.

Any contractor who was later sent to Iraq by USA over a war spoil they acquired through lies and at the expense of innocent blood who they lied against only has his country to blame for his death because he would not have been there if USA had not deployed their usual lying propaganda methodology.

Iran and USA have been threatening each other with Iran still keeping to the signed Nuclear peace treaty. However it was USA/Trump who unilaterally pulled out of the treaty and stupidly set USA up. Iran has not stepped out of line but USA did.

Suliemani was a USA asset deployed to iraq despite being an iranian top man. This shows the relationship USA once had with Iran. However when the truths about why USA invaded iran came out, Suliemani turned against USA and organized the iraqi Militia to deal with and destroy ISIS in iraq which happened to be a creation of the same USA.

USA are criminally minded. Their government can lie more than Satan
