Good. I can see more churches following suit. Prophet TB Joshua actually blazed the trail, now other churches are taking a cue! |
Prince0500: May be u need to check ur facts vry well nd unfortunately u jst comitted a worse offence dat u are acusing sme for,yea ur hme trainin is questionable.U said Sunny brags nd also dat who is alafin of oyo?No well home grown nd well culturd dude wld use dis words on dis personalities.People like u shld nt be taken serious,u are exactly d opposite of hw u present urself.May be i shld also remind u dat KSA 4 TWO TYMES NW HAD BEEN NOMINATED 4 an internationaly well recognisd award gving body,i think grammy or so,dis is a feet dat is nt common to achieve in d music terain in d whole Africa. After say all dis,i also respectfuly submit dat Obey commander is alsm a great musician bt in his own well deserv class.Read my comments before you critique. I asked....'Who is Alaafin of Oyo IN MUSIC? What does Alaafin know ABOUT MUSIC? If a signle traditional ruler who is not an authority IN MUSIC decides to give an award to a musician that played on his coronation day.....does that make the musician better than someone else? If you dont know, Sunny was invited to play on the day Alaafin was crowned as king of Oyo, and out of his excitement and joy of the day, the Alaafin said he was crowning Sunny as king of Juju music.....Just like that. Can that kind of assertion stand in well informed societies? I think I am too discerning and educated to just swallow whatever a traditional ruler says, especially when there are overwhelming evidence to the contrary! |
shadrach77: i find it hard to believe that people would even dare to compare Obey with Sunny - even Obey himself knows that Sunny is better. To be nominated for Grammies twice, na beans? Sunny once starred in a foreign film - Stiggs and Friends or something, can't remember - KSA is known internationally and even performed as recently as last year at the Pre Olympics Music Festival in London. Ask any white man about Sunny and they'll know about him. Obey is not known beyond the shores of NigeiaSo by your analogy, do you say Femi is better than Fela because Femi was also nominated for Grammy while Fela was not? There are many factors and coincidences that make such nomination to happen. Dont be deceived |
funnyx:God bless you for your thoughtful comments People should do some research on Obey's songs, especially in the 70-80s....that man is a genius per excellence! |
Bandy10: Though both of them play good music when compare to what obtains today. However Sunny is better. The following points will be used to back up my points. You can be nominated for any award if your promoter is able to schedule/time your musical tours to coincide with big festivals/shows. Again Sunny us a better entertainer because of his stage showmanship and that can easily lure foreign fans. Any musician with stage craft will always wow the white man Obey made several foreign trips in the 70s and started planning his retirement in the 80s, so he was started tuning down his foreign trips. That was the time Sunny was at his peak in making foreign travels. As per celebrations....Obey was far ahead when he was in active music. He was the artist of choice for the biggest social clubs....Island club, Tennis club, Laggos Country club, Ikeja Club etc. His songs were more philosophical and relevant to life issues/events e.g birthdays, marriage, funerals, house-warming etc than Sunny's songs. Please, try and get some of Obey's past life plays/shows of the 80s/90s on CD....they are still fresh and relevant till today |
Ebenezer Obey left secular music early in his career. He's now into gospel. Sunny Ade has been doing well with his juju style of music. It's diff to say who's better. If Ebenezer Obey had remained in secular music till now, it ll be easier to judge.
You said Obey left secular music early in his career? Obey retired from secular music in 1992/93. That was after more than 30 years in active music. And that was 20 years ago.Tell me any juju music album that has been released since then that was better than what Obey produced in the past! His lyrics, songs, compostions, arrangement and delivery are unparralled and unmatched by any Juju musisican till date. Millions of good-music lovers still play his songs that are over 30-40 years old and you would feel as if the songs were released yesterday. That is the stregth of a great musician....for your old songs of 30-40years ago to be very hot in the market....No juju musician has that! Even after retiring for over 20 years, people are almost always pestering and beggin him to come and entertain them with his unique and rare songs. Sunny's songs do not have the evergreen effect. His songs sells for a while, then die off after sometime. But he is able to carry on becasue of his youthfulness and dance acts.....but please dont compare him with Obey when it comes to 'real music' |
shadrach77: You are extremely silly! Anybody who knows music will realise that sunny Ade is way better than Obey. Do you think the Alaafin of Oyo made him King if Juju for nothing ?? Sunny was the first artiste to introduce synthesiser , Hawaiian guitar and several other things to juju musicWhy the abuse? Why the insults? Well, I am well bred with good home-training, so I dont trade abuses and insults online. You are free to exhibit the kind of training and upbringing you are made of. What I wrote about Obey and Sunny are the facts. Obey was the first person to introduce multiple guitars, western drum kits among other numerous innovations, but he does not brag, unlike Sunny. Obey was the one that modernised Juju music before Sunny joined the train! Who is Alaafin of Oyo in music? What does Alaafin know about music? What authority does Alaafin have in music? So what happens if Ooni of Ife or any other Oba should just wake up and say some other musician is the king of Juju or Fuji or whatever? Obey avoided calls for him to be crowned as King by other Obas in Yoruba land like the Alake and Ooni. Dont be deceived by some people who give some spurious awards to their favourite musician.May be you dont know that most of the so-called awards are solicited and arranged by the musicians themselves in order to boost their profile and marketability!Do you know how many 'Kings' we have in Fuji music now? Well, I dont blame you if you do not know....you have already displayed your level of maturity in your first sentence Obey is better than Sunny in all aspects of Juju music, except stagemanship and dancing. What Obey lacks in stage craft, he covers with un-paralled ability in great lyrics, compositions, arrangement, instrumentation, percussions, delivery etc. His songs are timeless. Obey's kind of musician is very rare...If you do not know, go and ask your elders! |
Please, dont compare the two of them.....Obey is class ahead of Sunny. Sunny has the stage-craft....dancing, that is all he has over Obey! But when it comes to music composition, arrangement, instrumentation, delivery and timeless evergreen songs....Obey is the real King! Obey's songs are songs of yesteryears, today and the future. His gentle nature did not allow him to do / say/brag about many things...but if you really know music, you would appreciate that Obey is ahead of Sunny. If you analyse the timing of their releases, you would realise that Sunny learnt and borrowed a lot of things from Obey's music |
This is funny. The yankee soldiers enjoying themsekves with Azonto dance.....in Afghanistan of all places! http://www.azonto233.com/watch_music_video.php?id=41 |

Anvaller: OK Mike but nothing is more dubious than a blatant impersonation... We are smart enough to read thru ur implications as being an impersonator...If Azonto was not already popular globally, then tell me: how did Nigeria/Nigerians get to know about it? How did Wizkid get to know and sing about it even when most Nigerians did not know about it? The truth is Azonto had been very popular among Africans in Europe and other countries. Many African musicians in Europe(including Nigerians) have been featuring Azonto in their music clips, before Nigeria joined. African Azonto mass parties have been held in UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, US etc as early as late 2010 (after Ghana;s WC performances) and in 2011...long before Nigeria joined in 2012. The white guy that featured in D-Banj's 'Oliver Twist' video was discovered from the Azonto dance clips (in UK) on youtube long before D-Banj released his video Go to Google and search for Azonto and you will see the trend If we dont know about something, it does not mean that the thing does not exist....we need to seek and discover before we make arrogant comments. We must realise that the world does not start nor end with Nigeria. Things are happening in other places. If there is no electricity in Nigeria, it does not mean other places also dont have electricity! My comments were not targeted at the nation 'Nigeria' as a whole. But we have to watch the way we try to undermine other people just because we are desperate to be reckoned with by all means....by hook or crook! Give respect and get respect! P-Square are very very successful. They are well known, and their music sells. They have achieved this by being original and creative in the past. GOOD. So why playing cheap and desperate to steal Azonto and then call it Alingo? That is what I cannot understand. Are they so desperate that they have to hijack the dance and call it another name? I would understand if a not-too-successful musician had done that, but not a group like PSquare. And we Nigerians should be honourable enough to admit when someone does a wrong thing.....we cannot just continue to celebrate mediocrity and dubious tendencies. It is not about court of law...it is about being modest and sincere to acknowledge and appreciating genuine creativity. Why do musicians like PSquare complain about copyright/piracy if they are stealing someone else's work and then put their name on it? It is a shame I give credit to Wizkid and other musicians who proudly featured Azonto dance in their video clips without attempting to steal it by calling it another name. Nigeria had Yahoozee, Galala, Swor,Alanta Etigi etc.....nobody has stolen them with another name! We should be honourable enough not to steal Azonto with Alingo(rubbish). Just enjoy the dance and move on. Dont use another name to steal it! It is disgraceful |
jiggaz: Abeg dis Azonto whatever shoul end already!!! .... We all know dat Azonto is a Ghanaian dance, so Ghanaians should be mad at Chris Brown for d mistake but not at Nigerians. But lemme ask oo, why all these fuss about Azonto? Its a common dance for crying out loud, which has almost faded... Ghanaians big ups to u people for inventing Azonto but its no big deal. There has been other dances before which has also faded like Yahooze, Galala etc & Azonto is also joining their bandwagon. But one thing i must say here is dat, u can never compare the Nigerian Entertainment industry with dat of the Ghanaians. There's a BIG difference just like Night & Day. Everybody in Africa & Diaspora knows dat. One thing Ghanaians must know is dat Nigerian artistes doesnt need Ghana to sustain our industry cos we have a very HUGE local market for our music. 170 million people no be beans. But on the other hand, Ghana so much need Nigeria cos they have a very small market for their music, 25 million is very small compared to 170 million. So there's no need for Ghanaians to compete with Nigerians cos we are way ahead of u guys in Entertainment ( music & movies ). Its like d U.K trying to compete with d U.S, it doesnt make sense. Ghana should just go & compete with Kenya or Uganda. And d funny thing is dat Nigerians dont really care about u guys cos u dont bother with someone u know u are better than. I'm not trying to bash u people or something cos i like Sarkodie & R2Bees, they are good musicians. But u guys need to chill, Azonto is just a dance, it doesnt have copyright.Go and do an analysis of Nigerian and Ghanaian music. Most Nigerian musicians are now playing the 'Hiplife' style of music that originated from Ghana. It is the fast, uptempo Highlife mixed with rap, and it was originated by Reggie Rockstone in the early 90s and modernised by younger musicians by Sarkodie, Praye, Obour etc What most young Nigerian musicians have been playing in the last 3-years are imitation of the Ghana Hiplife music...from Iyanya, Olamide, May-D, Davido, Wizkid, Ruggedman, Terry G, Timaya, J.Martins, Duncan Mighty, Omawumi, etc and virtually all the young new Nigerian artistes. If you would be sincere, you would realise that the trend of music/beats/rhythms we hear now is different from what we used to hear in about 5-10 years back. Take Iyanya for instance. Compare the style of music he released after the winning the Project Fame about 5-6 years ago, and the kind of music he plays now.....He is now playing the 'HipLife' style of Ghana.....because of the up tempo danceable effects which is more appealing in parties and dancehalls We are copying Ghana's highly danceable Hiplife music beats...that is the truth. Can you cast your mind back to about 5-10 years ago and remember how dull our local music used to be at party dance halls? But now, with the adoption of the Ghana Hiplife style, which fuses fast highlife/rap, virtually all Nigerian musicians and dance halls are now rocking with 'Azonto' beats..... Any Nigerian musician that wants to remain relevant in dance halls now play Azonto/Hiplife beats...Even PSquare had to steal the concept but shamelessly put a another name 'Alingo' on it. Go listen to many Nigerian musicians who are playing Sarkodie's style....e.g. Olamide's Bend Down Low, Ruggedman, and even PSquare's new song for Glo(Unlimited)....they are all imitations of Ghana's Sarkodie and Guru's style of music If you do not know, Ghana taught Nigeria our first classical music....Highlife. Even Fela had to go learn and master professional music in Ghana before he became a success in music! |
Libkid: Thier economy is about to crumble so they need nigerians to boost itStupid talk. Are the one feeding them? Ghana has relatively stable electricity supply, while Nigeria does not.....so if you have sense, you should know which economy 'is about to crumble'! If Nigeria's economy is as bouyant and fantastic as you might foolishly think, then why are our people rushing to do business in Ghana? |
lekkie073: here is my judgementThis kind of talk is exactly the reason why most African countries do not feel comfortable with Nigerians and our behaviours.! The richest man in Ghana is a Nigerian? Do you think or find out before you talk? Sam Jonah is not a Nigerian! And even if the richest man is a Nigerian, does that make Nigeria superior? Do you have a brain at all? So if the richest man in the world is from Bahrain or Brunei, does that mean Bahrain or Brunei is superior to USA or Canada? Foolish talk. Go and learn the history of Nigeria and Ghana and see which country has played what role in the affairs of the other. The first West African company to be listed on global stock exchanges(e.g LSE/NYSE) was from Ghana. Have you ever heard about the Ashanti Gold-Fields Company? That company was quoted on the London Stock Exchange in the early 1990's when Sam Jonah was the CEO.....at a time when there was no Nigerian company on the LSE! I wonder why we deceive ourselves with some foolish talk in arrogance! Ashanti Gold-fields have now merged with the S/Africa's Anglo to form the Ashanti-Anglo Gold which is one of the biggest Gold companies in the world. Glo is not the only company sponsoring the Ghana Football League. MTN also sponsors part of the league. But you would never hear South Africans using that to brag like Nigerians. If MTN decides to sponsor the Nigerian league, does it mean that S/Afric is superior to Nigeria! Are you glorifying Nigeria because Nigerians have to depend on generator sets to get electricity? My God!Truly, some Nigerians like you are daft! Absolutely stupid! Instead of being ashamed of yourself and your country for lack of a basic thing like electricity, you are insulting another country that has better electricity than your country. So you want to tell me that Nigeria and Nigerians are better off than Americans and Europeans because Nigerians depend on generators to get electricity? No wonder our leaders take us for fools because of peopl like you. slowpoke! If you care to know, Nigeria learnt a lot of positive things from Ghana, but that is a topic for another day |
Born 2be Rich: The funny thing is that indirectly nigeria promoted azonto dance to the extent they made a better version called alingo...Anyhow i feel for the ghanians but make dem no vex too much.Better version? Are you not ashamed that our fellow Nigerians -PSquare had to steal something from a neigbhouring country, and then turned around to call it another name? It looks minor but it shows the depth of dubious tendencies and cheating/stealing in us as a people. It is shameful howv we celebrate stealing and other disgraceful acts in this Nigeria. How did Nigeria promote Azonto? Deceiving ourselves for nothing |
Chanchit: Sorry Ghana, if CB thinks azonto is a Nigerian dance its simply because it was made popular by Nigeria, if we live it for Ghana it won't pass Accra. Do you know "i feel good" by James Brown was originally composed by Orlando Julius. So sometimes u have to chill for ur Oga.The issue is actually a minor one. But your comment is the type that makes other Africans to dislike Nigerians....stupid arrogance! Who told you it was Nigeria that made Azonto popular? Nonesense! Azonto has been made popular by Ghanaians and down-to-earth other Africans long before Nigeria joined. Azonto was a hit dance at the BBA in 2011. Nigeria was even reluctant to accept the Azonto dance (ostensibly because of rivalry with Ghana), but we had to join when almost everybody realised the fun/creativity of the dance and its global acceptance. Right now, almost all Nigerian musicians are playing Ghana Hiplife / Azonto beats and rhythms. And to show how arrogant and mischevious we Nigerians are, and not wanting to give credit to others, PSquare stole all the Azonto dance moves and then decided to call it 'Alingo'....in order to hijack the credit..very shameful and disgraceful act. Anybody can invent or create anything. But when you borrow somebody's idea/creative works, the honourable thing to do is to acknowledge it and move, not to steal it and call it another name like PSquare did....making a mockery of themselves after all their years of good success. |

If Lagos is bombed, then I would suggest that people mount a massive road block / check point along Lagos-Ibadab road to screen/scrutinise all travelers coming into Lagos. I am sure that would create enough tension in the country that may eventually force everybody/regions to be on self-alert / defence. We may only know the beginning, no one knows the end of any crisis that may come up. |
take dat: Isn't this a baseless accusation cos Tinubu was the only AC governor as at 2007, and Atiku the presidential flagbearer of AC won in Lagos state during the presidential election whereas Atiku could not win his own state? Ribadu on the other hand has never complained of being dumped cos he still remains a member of ACN unlike Atiku who left immediately after losing election! He is a confused fellow looking for whom to buck pass the reason behind his incessant failures. Thanks and may God bless you for your insightful comments. Most people on this forum dont have analytical mind: Where is the direct quote from Atiku on this matter? Only speculated comments by some mischief makers and people are already carried away. Are we this cheap in the way we think/talk in this country? Atiku won hands-down in Lagos, yet lost miserably in Adamawa state......is that the result of a betrayal by Tinubu? Tinubu and AC offered Atiku a formidable refuge to protect him and fight back OBJ who was desperate to humilate and jail him(Atiku). If not for that support, Atiku would probably have been humiliated.. The people that betrayed Atiku were the OBJ boot-lickers in PDP and people like El-Rufai, and Ribadu...people he recommended and brought into the OBJ government but they turned against him because they wanted to be in the good books of OBJ for their daily bread. |
Ok. I agree to your point. Infact, it beats me why we Yoruba have allowed this nonesense to last so long.... |
with due respect sir what exactly is the point you want us to extract wit all dis ur ranting cus it seems meaningless to me, thanks.
I dont owe you any explanation. I only made an observation as regards civil unrests/riots/wars that involve we Yoruba people. I have noticed that all the tribal wars that Yoruba people had fought in history were wars between one Yoruba ethnic group against another Yoruba ethnic group, but NEVER against another different tribe. In essence, I was just trying to underscore how the Yoruba accomodate the excess of their strangers, visitors and other tribes, but would not mind to go to war with a fellow Yoruba ethnic group that does similar thing to us......so that attitude can be seen as either positive or negative |
Yoruba people can only wage wars against their fellow Yoruba, but we find it difficult to fight strangers, visitors or other tribes! Most wars in the histroy of Yoruba people are wars against fellow Yoruba. Even Modakeke-Ife wars of recent, Area Boys fights, Political wars etc |
I am not surprised.....the last time I checked GEJ comes from Bayelsa and he single-handedly handed the governorship post to Dickson. Like Presisdent like Governors Dumb asses |
seunfly: We are always the best any where we find our selves, if we can stop all this madness and come together as yorubaigbohausa tribe, believe me nothing can stop us and Nigeria will scoop awards as a nation every where in the universe even before God almighty.Nigerians can be good, very very good and among the best. Accepted. But dont say we are always the best anywehre we found ourselves...that is the arrogance that leads us into trouble. We need to learn to be humble and appreciate other people in how we talk about others. Even the girl that won the prizes is humble in her submissions....that is how to get to the very top and still win the confidence and love of others, including your rivals... and not by talking arrogantly Why are we not the best in our own country?......that means we are not necessarily the best ''everywhere/anywhere'' we found ourselves! |
londoner: @mikeapollo........Go listen to the tunes on STV's Music Africa in the ealry 2000's. All the hit tracks from Ghana e.g Shordy by PRAYE, etc are all uptempo Highlife mixed with rap. Go listen to albums by Reggie Rockstone(the pioneer of Hiplife), Obour, etc since the early 90s Ask yourself: what kind of music were Nigerian musicians playing in the early 2000s? All the Nigerian musicians were playing something different(R&B). Cast your mind to what Eedris was playing then and now. Ask yourself, what was Iyanya playing after he won the MTN awards 6 years ago, and what he is playing now in the last 2-3 years? For instance Olamide's Go Down Low and, Ruggedman's collabo with Terry G(cant remember the trackname)are an imitation of Sarkodie's songs? There is a clear depature from what Nigerians were playing 10years ago......what they are playing now is converging with what Ghanaians have been playing for decades, ...and that is why most of their beats/rhythms are following the Azonto dance-steps/beats. |
sally bonne: And ur point is, reggae music has been on from time immemorial became popular by bob marley jah rest hos soul, u guys wana tell me now dt all d regga artists in naija and beyond should b sued , african prints or should I say ankara has been worn in nigeria since ages past btonly recently started gaining attention wen d foreign celebs started getin dressed in dem, last time it was beyonce dt wore gele 2 d red carpet and modelled in it, nobody complain, so if naija decide to borrow frm ghana weda nw afro abi na hiplife it must b wahala, pls 4 d record we are nt dragging anytin wit ghana, dnt no why any issue bothering ghana and naija have to b so sensitive, u release sth it bcomes a trend u nw want 2 sue ppl following u, abeg, and 4 d azonto dance no one is intrested in claiming it belong to najia for petes sake we have had dances frm yahooze to atlanta, etighi and ddose ones done by dose dancers in ajegunle, small azonto now we no go hear word, ghana u have nt told us your competition wit naija we no dey drag anytin o,habaMy point is, we should be magnanimous and honest enough to acknowledge other people's efforts and ingenuity. Other people have acknowledged the contribution of Nigerian music. For instance, it is very unprofessional and shameful for P Square to steal virtually all the Azonto steps/moves and then call it 'Alingo'(ruubiish) inorder to take the credit(it is like stealing someone's copyright works). It smacks of dubious tendency. Why not be original and keep it real.....when you use or adopt someone eles' work or idea, be real to acknowledge it and give credit to who it is due.....you would also be credited and acknowledged when someone uses your own work/idea/style..... |
Goddex: Tinubu is by far a much bigger thief than Alams but isPlease, stop being crass stupid and foolish! How is Tinubu a bigger 'thief'? Didnt your dumb Jonathan and his gang try Tinubu at the Code of Conduct Tribunal? What evidence could they find or offer? Or you think it is enough to be calling somebody a thief without proof? Do you expect Tinubu to prosecute himself? If you have any evidence, please send it to your foolish Uncle Jonathan in Abuja so that he can use it to prosecute and jail Tinubu for corrruption. No matter what Jonathan says, he is evidenttly stark idiot to have granted state pardon to someone who has brought shame to the country. No wonder we have so many absurds in this govt.... They told us that his illiterate wife is now a Perm Sec in Bayelsa state. I cannot imagine what that means and what kind of PhD Jonathan asquired...and now granting state pardon to a convisted criminal. |
I think people like Femi Falana and some Ribadu boot-lickers should be very happy and satisfied with Jonathan govt's war against corruption now. Afterall, they were the ones that blackmailed, campaigned, worked and asked for Farida Waziri to be sacked as EFCC Chairman, after the woman had showed courage to prosecute some high-profile thieves in the country, e.g. Bode George, Dimeji Bankole, Obasanjo Bello,El-Rufai, Bank MDs, among many others. They congratulated Jonathan for sacking the woman. Now we are seeing Jonathan's 'real war' on corruption! Carry on Jonah boy....Falana & Co are enjoying the show! |
manny4life: Your comment above is speaks volume about you. It's ok to grant a nod to Oshimole and Fashola but when it comes down to Imo, you ask "what has he done"? Some governors are not like that of others where they trumpet everything they do. Lagos and Imo have their different complexities, so for you to say he needs to first bring out IMO from ashes is not ONLY insulting but very demeaning and undermines the work (even if meager) that he has done.I can only vote for Oshiomhole and may be Rochas.... I dont want a clueless VP that would instigate and increase tuition fees in federal universities to N500,000 or N1m per session, because of the silly excuse of 'the need to improve standards and make Nigerian universites world class'...only blind fools/lazy thinkers would vote for such person! |
badesco: It seems you are a GEJ apologist, so am not surprise about your assertion here. this woman has been in the Government before so she knows what she is talking about and if FG does not have any skeleton in its cupboard why dont FG accept her invitation to a public debate.Who says I am a GEJ apologist? Cant you read and and think deeply? To hell with GEJ, OBJ and his team members, including Oby Ezekwesili. I only refused to be deceived by hypocrites! GEJ's govt is as corrupt as OBJ's govt which Oby, Ribadu, El Rufai, Soludo, Fani-Kayode etc served. I cannot allow myself to be deceived into believing these people....they were the ones working and justifying all the corruption under OBJ's govt.! I am educated enough to know when someone raises a genuine alarm.....not someone cashing in on the general sentiments in the country to try and launder their image and that of their equally corrupt godfather(OBJ). Have you asked your sister(Oby) how billions of dollars was spent on power without nothing to show? How come money was paid to fake companies? |
Orikinla: Aunty Okonjo-Iweala knows Ezekwesili very well and knows that what she has said is simply the truth and will not debunk it. That is why she has not joined Okupe and the other ignorant mouthpieces of GEJ to challenge Madam Due Process. You got it wrong. Infact, it shows how clueless GEJs govt is. All GEJ needs to do is to direct Okonjo-Iweala to address/respond to the noises of Ezekwesili.....and that will deal the final blow to the Ezekwesili's noises! Do you think Okonjo-Iweala would agree that the money was squandered? GEJ is clueless that is why almost everybody can take the govt for a ride |
Symphony007: I don't just know what this woman's problem is..she is just setting herself up for a monumental embarrasment of her currently respected image. She is going around saying all these things and non of her former cabinet ministers like ninadi usman who was the former finance minister or charles soludo are supporting her or producing facts. If this government takes her on squarely and she is left dangling with no support or proof, she's gonna be sorry!!Dont mind this attention-seeking woman. She was the head of the so-called 'Due Process Office' under Obasanjo when over $16Billion was spent on power projects with nothing to show for it. Some of the money was even paid to fictitious and non-existing companies. She belongs to the Obasanjo camp....together with Fani-Kayode, Soludo, El-Rufai and Ribadu etc. They are making noise to seek attention because they are no longer favoured by the government. During the power-probe, she rushed down from US to come and defend Obasanjo. A few weeks ago, she was at a PDP event to celebrate Obasanjo, and she was eulogising Obasanjo to high heavens, despite all the corruption in his govt. I am not a fan of GEJ or PDP, but I dont like hypocrites. When they were in govt, they were telling us that all was well....but all of a sudden, they have turned into 'emergency activists' because they are out of favour. HYPOCRITES! Any good follower of International Economics knows that Nigeria was able to save much because the price of Oil went to as high as $140/barrel during the economic boom of 2003-2007. It is common sense that the external reserves would be negatively affected when the price of oil fell to below $40/barrel for about 2 years. Ezekwesili will be embarrased if Okonjo-Iweala comes out to debunk her claims.....afterall, Okonjo was the Finance Minister and the person who allegedly helped her to get the WB job, and invariably her senior too The FG should ignore her. She cant even face Sanusi |
baba dey: This OP...is a F**king liar. This was when chris came to 9ja and when wizboy performed with him..how I knew??..I was there. These were the same cloth both wore in nigeria when they both performed. My kwestion is,shey na only one cloth both have for concerts or whatever?.. Oniro oshiDont get over yourself. Check the background and the writings. Check out the names too.....'Myjoyonline' is the online version of Ghana's Joy TV. Wearing the same clothes may be a coincidence or deliberate. |
