She is planning another fuel price increase. This is how she starts to test the waters....by spreading false stories of how govt expenditure has risen etc. After all, the clueless president calls her 'Coordinating Ministe of The Economy(whatever that means) Dont be surprised if they come up with fuel price increase before the end of the year. |
Muslims do quote the Quran to highlight some of the teachings of peace/love that are similar to the Bible. But what about the Hadith? What type of teachings/doctrines are contained in the Hadith?. And why do they react violently whenever you criticise their religion/prophet? Inoccent people were killed and properties were destroyed around the world because someone drew a cartoon of Mohammed's picture in Denmark. I have some very good, wonderful, honest and peaceful muslims as friends. But what we keep hearing/seeing in places like Mali, Afghan, Yemi, Pakistan, Iran,Iraq, Algeria etc do not really support anything like peace! |
Algeria, and some north African countries are already launched and operating undeground(tube) train network! So what is the big deal/noise over a project that has not been completed or operational. We just make noise over every mediocrity!. A diplomat comes and makes a diplomatic statement and we go about making noise out of it. Most diplomats would not openly criticise a host nation. With all our problems, have you heard any diplomat criticise the govt for lack of power, water, unemployment, insecurity etc? Wise up and read between the lines, my people! |
Dont worry, Nigerians are the happiest people on earth. So say some foolish people, and some idiots believe too! |
Why are Nigerians always jittery and complaining when 'law enforcement' is mentioned or carried out in another country? Are we saying we Nigerians are perpetual or habitual law breakers or law evaders? I keep saying this....Nigerians were the best foreigners in Ghana right from their pre-independence days up till the early 90s. That was when virtually every Nigerian in Ghana then was a Yoruba man(mostly from Ogbomosho,Ejigbo,Osogbo,Ikirun,Ilorin,Egba, Ijebu etc).Nigerians were very hardworking, eneterprising and doing legitimate business! Many of them were in the Cocoa industry of Ghana, businessmen, artisans etc.Mokola Market used to be 2 in number....Mokola 1 and Mokola 2(Mokola 2 was destroyed by Rawlings because that was the headquarters of some economic saboteurs)...both markets named/coined after Nigerian Mokola market in Ibadan because of the huge dominance of Nigerians in the market. There was Lagos Town, and Nigerian schools and Churches! The name they call Yoruba people(and by extention every Nigerian, even up till now) is Anago or 'Alata'(which is 'Pepper-seller in Yoruba because Yoruba people were the majority of pepper sellers then). One thing they hate to hear about Yoruba people, and Nigerians generally, is that we eat Snakes, and that some tribes eat human beings. Ghanaians cannot stand you for that, especially for eating snakes. You may lose your best friend(s) for that! But all that good image changed when a new set of Nigerians(from different tribes) started flocking to Ghana. Nigerians suddenly acquired the image of ritualists, armed-robbers,prostitutes, fraudsters, 419 etc! And then to make things worse, Ghanaians started witnessing these vices in Nigerian movies, therby cementing those impressions permanently in their minds. Only the older generations of Ghanains and Nigerians have good memories of the friendly relatonships between the 2 countries. Most of the new generations of Ghanaians who do not know the previuous proud history of Nigerians only refer to the vices they have seen Nigerians perpetrate in their country, especially armed-robbery which was introduced to Ghana by Nigerians.(I stand to be corrected)!. Reecently there was a kidnap attempt by some Nigerians in Ghana, and some lorry-loads of ammunition was discovered in a lorry with Nigerian drivers. A lot of Nigerian yahoo-yahoo boys have moved to Ghana after the EFCC launched attacks on them.I know these things are not only common with us, but the truth is we have become globally known for notrious things on an alarming level! Again, we make things worse for ourselves with our attitude and boastful noise making everywhere we go.(Yoruba people in Ghana are more quiet and peaceful because they understand the attitude/way of life of the average Ghanaians because they have been there since before Ghana got independence). So it is possible that the current impression we Nigerians have created for ourselves in Ghana might have influenced how they deal with us in this kind of matter, different from other citizens of ECOWAS. But both countries should work together to resolve the confusion so that innocent and law abiding Nigerians(and even Ghanaians) do not suffer...$$300,000 is not small money by any standards. But Nigerians too must follow all their laid down procedures....register your company, pay your taxes,etc.... Every nation cannot be lawless like Nigeria |
You people saying God/his prophet should not have anything to do with sports are hypocrites. Most times, before a football match kick-off, we always see players/fans etc coming together to pray for victory! Who are they praying to if not God? Is it to your forefathers they do pray to? Why do you/we pray to God at the time of need(before and during a match), and then turn around to say God or his prophet should not have anything to do with/in sports when someone gives testimony of how a prophet of God prophecied his victory? Hypocrites!. Your dislike/hatred for TB Joshua is already blurring your sense of reasoning. Shallow thinking morons! |
osajojo: Soludo was better, I remember when sanusi indeptly explained the fuel subsidy issue and begged nigerians to accept it promising it was for the better. Now tell me if our lives r better. Let's give it to obasanjo he was result oriented. I miss u grand daddy. Was there no subsidy removal during Soludo/OBJ time? Did Soludo oppose it? Of course, he supported it, along with Okonjo Iweala, El-Rufai etc Soludo is the type of CBN gov that would encourage his friends to defraud Nigerians in the name of recapitalisation. Most people are ignorant there was a global increase in oil and commodity prices on the global markets between 2002-2007. That is what Nigeria benefitted from which caused a glut of funds in the economy which Soludo colluded with the banks to mismanage and loot, all in the name of recapitalisation. Oceanic bank was just occupying a makeshift office in 2004, but by 2008,the MD(Cecilia Ibru)had used depositors funds and proceeds from share-price manipulation to acquire over 150 houses in UK, Dubai, S.Africa etc under the watch of Soludo! is that the kind of reform we desire? Same for Erastus Akingbola of Intercontintal Bank. That is corruption that would have totally destroyed the economy of this country if it had not been checked by Sanusi. Sanusi is a guy that can tell his friend the bitter truth even at the expense of his job. If we had Sanusi's discipline and boldness we would not have experienced the bubble that Soludo created with his cronies. They profited from it, and gave the false impression that everything was well, when indeed we were sinking and stinking with fraud in our banking systems. It is usually more difficult to work and fight against an established system/culture. That is what Sanusi is facing. Even though he may not be perfect and might have made a few mistakes, the central message of his crusade is much better than the steal, clean mouth and keep quiet policies of Soludo. Can Soludo ever challenge the National Assembly the way Sanusi did? Any reformer who lacks integrity cannot be a good reformer....Soludo was deceiving Nigerians that everything was perfect, and people almost lost their life-savings based on the trust they had in his words, until Sanusi came to save the situation and told us the bitter truth, so that we could deal with the problem and learn from it and guard against future re-occurrence! |
andyanders: It's a spiritual problem. Ask him to go to Synagogue Church of All Nations and he will be delivered. Many ladies and men who got same problem has been delivered there. Ask him to Watch Emmanuel TV he will see people with same kind of problem.Very true. Many of those who have been healed at The Synagogue were even fished out through prophecy by TB Joshua. Some are high class ladies/guy, educated, working, rich and beautyful etc, often with stories of spiritual attacks that either ignited or made the problem worse. Be prayerful and go there in faith....you will be healed! A candid and honest advice.....God bless you |
Have you compared the standard of qualification required for entrance into universities and polytechnics? Until recently, Nigerian polytechnics were admitting candidates with just 3 credits at WAEC/O Level(even if without Engl/Maths) while Universities dis not compromise on 5 credits at a maximum of 2 sittings. There was also JAMB requirement(very tough in those years) for university admission while the Polytechnics had no entrance exams! So the standards were different. University education gives an all-round education in other field related to your discpline, while polytechnics tend to concentrate more on ur discipline. However, this does not mean that a university student is more intelligent or more brilliant than a poly student. It only means that one is comng from an environment with higher expected standards. In the end, a poly graduate can do better if he works hard (likewise for a university graduate) . But there should be no controversy.....University education is at a higher level than Poly education. Not only in Nigeria, but worldwide. But the Nigerian situation of unemployment has made everybody to rush for the ultimate choice(university education) in order to have a better chance of securing jobs in the labour market. Both schools play very important roles in the economy/educational sector. The best universities are almost always a notch higher than the best polytechnics |
The people attacking/abusing Prophet TB Joshua on the basis of this testimony by a beneficiary are just stupid idiots! Does it mean nobody must acknowledge anything good about TB Joshua before you guys would be happy? This is a story relayed by someone who had an eccounter with TB Joshua. TB Joshua has not said anything about it. Why dont you direct your attacks on the story teller? Do you want people to get good things from God through his prophet, and keep quiet just because you dislike him? It is like attacking every pastor in Nigeria just because somebody gave a testimony and made reference to the prayer/prophecy he received from a pastor in any church. Would it be right to just attack the pastor just because of a testimony by a beneficiary? Do you want TB Joshua to be moribound and ineffective prophet like most of your pastors/GOs for you to be happy? Morons. You can kill yourselves because of testimonies about TB Joshua's ministry/prophecy if you like. As long as God is with him, you and your jealous pastors cannot do jack! |
What happened to the 2 previous drugs( CIKLAVIT and NICOSAN) that have been acknowledged to be effective in the management/treatment of sickle cell? |

SamAfrik: Though I prefer yoruba movies whenever I feel like watchin anytin Nigerian. But Im not unaware of d big contribution Nigeria is giving Ghana esp in movies & music. Any strain in relations wont be good 4 d latter. We need Cooperatn & Respect in W/Africa.You made a good point. In video films, Nigeria made a huge impact on Ghana, with their video shelves completely dominated by Nigerian films. But in music, I disagree with you. The Ghanaians have been more original in music than Nigeria. Traditional Highlife music came to Nigeria from Ghana. Infact, the current fast afro rythmns currently dominating Nigerian music landscape/clubs came from Ghana, especially through Sound City's Music Africa which started airing in the early 20-00s. That was when Nigerians were exposed to the fast tempo dance-hall highlife beats which has been heavily adopted by most artistes including Flavour, Omawumi, Duncan Mighty, J-Martins,Timaya, PSquare, DBanj etc. Right now, every music you hear has that background of Highlife/Kpalongo rhythmn. But Nigerian musicians seem to have an edge over the Ghanaians musicians internationally because Nigerian musicians use in English/pidgin mostly while the Ghanaians use their indigenous languages mostly |
Was this not the Okotie that was condemning and passing judgement on TB Joshua and Oyakhilome a few years ago? Was this not the man that the Pharisees Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) considered as true man of God when they were partners with him in jealousy, hatred and envy against TB Joshua and Oyakhilome? The Bible says by their fruits you shall know them! God is awesome. He does not win His battles by granting noisy interviews on TV/Newspapers, but allows everything to be exposed in His own time. TB Joshua/Oyakhilome are busy using the the word of God to preach, heal, deliver, save poor/helpless people and mankind in general, while someone else, a friend of PFN, is busy changing and announcing the next woman to take charge of his bedroom, including a mother of 3....! God have mercy! |
Folks, Please I would like to know the average prevailing costs (and differences) of very good tokunbo engines for Camry 97-99 and Camry 2000? Which one is more more durable, easier to maintain, better fuel efficient etc Thank you |
How many times would they budget for repairs on 3rd Mainland Bridge. Some repairs were done on this bridge a few years back, which gulped billions of Naira. What was the scope of work done, and what new/additional work are they trying to do now? |
Thank God Farida Waziri is no longer the EFCC Chairman. Everything would have been blamed on her. Now, we know those who are really looting the nation and covering up! |
This is what happens eventually in a state where the governor is more concerned about extorting monry from people under any disguise. The culture is now spreading. Such places should be picketed/occupied for a whole straight month if they refuse to listen. Charging people parking fees for coming to spend their money in their mall...nonsense! |
Forumers, Please, I would appreciate your opinions as regards how good/reliable Ford Escape 2004(with carrier on the roof) is. I am considering to buy an SUV and my choices are a Toyota SUV or Ford Escape.(V4 Engine) You may give suggestions on other brands, with emphasis on mechanical reliability, ruggedness, ease of maintenance, fuel consumption, parts availability etc. Your comments are welcome. |
This is what has made many countries to be wary of Nigerians.....we are just becoming increasingly shameless in our corrupt tendencies. People are keeping quiet now, but when you hear that some countries are palnning to deport illegal Nigerian immigrants from their country, some people would start talking nonesense. If you leave your rotten country to sojourn in another man's country, the least expected of you is to conduct yourself in a decent and law abiding manner! |
It is very clear now that Fashola is incompetent, insensitive and not fit for governor! Was he not the person who said he does not have the powers to sack or recall the doctors, thereby prolonging the crises and making more people to die in the hospitals? So Tinubu's voice is more important to Fashola than the lives of hundreds of poor Lagosians that were dying in the hospitals? We are now seeing the arrogant and dictaorial nature of Fashola. He was only pretending in his first 2 years when he used the accumulated savings from the local govt funds seized by the FG to do a few projects in Lagos. I make bold to say he has not done anything new since 2009 when they started planning for his 2011 elections. For those who were blindly praising Fashola, I have always been saying that Tinubu is far better than Fashola! 1.Doctors never went on strike in Tinubu's 8 years. Infact, he brought in experienced doctors from abroad. But Fashola deployed armed policemen to drive doctors away from their offices/quaarters and even called them 'irresponsible'! These are doctors some of who started practising before Fashola became a lawyer! 2.LASU has witnessed its worst crises under Fashola 3.Tinubu built many roads but never installed tollgates to extort money from Lagosians. Fashola deployed armed policemen to beat/attack unarmed protesters in a peaceful march. 4.Tinubu negotiated with Lagos State workers, teachers etc and improved their packages 5.Tinubu built low cost housing estates even in his first term.....Fashola has NOT built a SINGLE low cost house in 5 years, and he does not have any plans to build! 6. Tinubu built stalls for market women.....but Fashola has decided to defraud the Yaba market women by converting their spaces to build a shopping mall for the elites and cronies of his govt. 7.Tinubu did all the work that created the agencies that are generating money for LASG...e.g LASTMA, LASAA,BRT etc. Now, Fashola is using them mostly to terrorise the people and extort money. He has increased LASU fees, Land Use Charge etc with little or nothing to show. I said it before.....people should support the doctors to check the arbitrariness of this Fashola and I welcome the threat by NUPENG to join the strike. With this development, it is clear Fashola does not know how to manage the affairs of a state. Doctors, Teachers and Farmers are the most important people, as far as am concerned. But everything we do is dependent on good-health...so the doctors become paramount. To wake up and sack 788 doctors in a day is just MADNESS and STUPIDITY! I know he must be hiding his face in shame now..The doctors must go ahead and get what they want! |
I hope the ignorant Nigerians who go about deceiving themselves and other ignorant people that Nigeria is doing other countries a favour by supplying electricity to Niger Republic have now realised the fact that Niger Republic is actually doing us a favour by not damming the rivers on which we have our power-generating dams! In other words, if Niger Republic decides to block and dam the river(s)(e.g. as a result of dispute/conflict/war),the water cannot flow into our country and Nigeria would be without electricity!. We Nigerians should take time to learn and find out the true information/position of things before we go about bragging/boasting about Nigeria spoon-feeding/helping/doing favour to virtually every African nation that has some relationship with us......e.g. Niger, Ghana, S/Africa etc. I laugh whenever I hear some people say Nigeria supplies electricity to a country like Ghana! |
djustice: While the ACN Lagos State spread lies and propaganda all over the place, the doctors are getting juicy offers from private hospitals, other states and the Federal Ministry of Health. Let them keep deceiving themselves while the gullible sheep they're killing with taxes continue to cheer them on, as they die like flies due to the senseless sacking of the doctors.God bless you my brother. I am becoming increasingly convinced that Nigeria is heavily blessed with many stupid, shallow, arrrogant, foolish masses who rather than challenge their leaders for raping them off would direct their agression at the wrong quarters. Only a dubious and insincere govt would opt to compress steps because it wants to review salaries. I have never heard of such anywhere in the world or even in Nigeria. What does it take to review the salaries within the existing civil service remuneration structure of steps 1-12? Why must you demote me from Step 10 to Step 4 just because you want to review my salary? Any doctor that accepts that is a fool because you would lose seniority in future when you transfer your services to maybe Ogun state or federal appointment. The number of steps indicates the years of service and it would be used to determine your entry level in future employments. Fashola's govt have proved to be insensitive to the needs of the poor masses of Lagos. He is happy to pay huge sums to the State House of Assembly and Judiciary because he needs political favours/judgements from them. but look at what he has done in the areas that concern the poor masses..Educationm(LASU fees/strikes) and Health(Doctors strikes). I am sure his family do not patronise public hospitals so he can afford to make doctors go on strike and people to die in numbers. I pray people do not lose their lives in this strike, and would appreciate any private hospital that decides to safe life because Fashola is bent on making people die out of his heartless nature! All the news about doctors begging to come back is pure propaganda by an insensitive and callous govt to woodwink people. Non |
gentotega: i ve been here in Ghana for some tym nw n i cn say dt if nt for the foreigners (weda illegal or not) in Ghana dey wldnt b where dey r.... dey r so timid n foolish. deir culture is poo mehn. Beside sum few parts of accra (cantonments, airport residential, osu) d city smells nt to talk of d ancient kumasi or d village tarkwa, tamale, tarkoradi, cape coast and d other dirty cities. dey rely on govt for evrytin, dey r d most jealous pple on earth n 2make matters worse, dey discriminate against demselves. This is how we create problems for ourselves/country....you are calling your host country people timid and foolish! Is this an attitude of a civilised guest? The foreigners are in Ghana to do business for profit, and not for charity/ Get that into your skull!. Your country Nigeria has been begging foreign investors to come invest in your refinery, roads, rails, etc, but how many have turned up? Without the foreigners in Nigeria like Indians, Americans, Europeans and S Africans, Nigeria is o not better than any country, Afterall our oil industry that we talk about is controlled and dominated by foreigners. After oil, what else do we have? And we dont have the discipline or security to attract foreigners if not for oil...so shut up |
Nonybb: this ghanaians bast/ards shouldnt try this with the heavy weight nigeria or there economy will crumble. After feeding and clothing them in there dirty country they now want deportation. St/upid ingreats!Did you think before you typed your post? Heavyweight Nigeria? Is Nigeria bigger or better than China? Mind you, the Nigerian companies went there to make profits, and not for charity! If the businesses are legal and well registered, there is no problem. But if not, then they have the right to regualate their country/economy. And which country are you calling dirty? Am sure you dont know what you are talking about....Nigeria is very much dirtier than Ghana. Ghanaains dont eat things inside a moving vehicle and throw the wrap out of the window unto the streets like we do in Nigeria. Have you been to Ibadan beforeand compare it to any city in Ghana? Please try and travel out to see a few things in other countries before you expose your ignorance. Ghanaians have been sweepin their streets and flushing their gutter drains from time immemorial......we just restarted sweeping Lagos streets from Tinubu's era |
Fashola wants state police so that he can use it to terrorise and extort money from the poor masses like market women, okada riders, Lekki residents, LASU students and medical doctors while allowing area boys to live like kings on the roads Even without state police, he has become notorious for drafting mobile police at any slight protest against his govt's policies, even to the extent of deploying mobile police to eject striking doctors from the Lagos State hospitals. It is capital 'NO' to stste police. Nonsense |
miteolu: life! After this man and his cabal had sent investors to grave yard he now calling for School. Professor of cabals.God bless you my brother. We are a silly and shallow nation. A man that should be standing trial for deceiving and superitending over frauds in the banks is now 'lecturing' a National Assembly of morons! When he was CBN governor, he spent his time covering up all the rot of the bank MDs because he needed their support for his political ambitions and greed! Why did he deny the existence of the warning signs when people raised the issues about the market/banking industry when he was CBN governor? Nonesense Nonesense |
Those of you that are mentioning Fashola's name seem not to understand anything. We need a government that has compassion for the poor/weak masses and would enact policies to help/empower them. We dont need a person that will commercialise everything to the advantage of money bags. Not a person that when a market is affected by fire, would pretend to rebuild the market, only to short-change the original stall-owners/allottess and sell the stalls at outrageous prices to money-bags/politicians and memebers of his cabinet. Fashola does not have any compassion for poor people.....Lekki and LASU are classic evidence! |
How many people watch/record TB Joshua's prophecies on Emmanuel TV? If you dont, then please be a little careful in how you talk against issue like this. If some speaks and you dont pay attention, then it is wrong to comment when he makes reference in the futiure to what he had said in the past. The point is many global media houses and christian bodies watch and record Emmnanuel TV online broadcasts, and all what you on youtube are actually delivered in live church services for the bebefit of his church members across the globe and for those who would believe his message and use it for their good! It is usual for prophets to warn people who care to listen about impending dangers! People need to be warned about unusual and unexpected happenings, and not vice-versa. The expected/good things are what we pray for everyday, so it is nothing new to prophecy about the good things. Infact people tend to misbehave and take things for granted when they hear pleasant news always. What draws people to God Almighty is the warning of dangers ahead so that people can take precautions to avoid the calamaties. Why are there so many warnings of calamities in The Holy Bible? Even Jesus Christ said there will be mourning and gnashing of teeth, Noah prophesied the flood etc. It is better for me to be forwarned and for me to take the right precautions, rather than to be deceived that everything will be sweet and smooth, only for disaster to happen suddenly and destroy things |
Ayoobscom: I work in Telecom..finance unit..is it ok if I go for MBA program instead of ican acca stuff.I advise you do your ACCA(if you can afford the costs). It will give you much better leverage and recognition than ICAN. If your job schedule and finance permit, you may apply/register for an MBA course (even an Online course in a very good foreign university in UK, Canada or UK) You will add great value to yourself if you do it, even while working in Nigeria, except you want to travel out for your MBA |
Olaisrich: To some of you people that were complaining about toll gate, road construction involve heavy cash, politics apart,it was coruption that discouraged obasanjo about the tolling idea.Even after construction the road still need to be maintained, the toll that the Ghana Highway Authority{GHA} collects is what they use to maintain there existing road.Where and where do you know in Ghana that has 3 tollgates on a 50km road, in the same locality, each charging as high as N120/N150 per vehicle, and no VIABLE alternative roads? Please, stop justufying inhuman policies of Fashola's govt. Or do you want to justify the arbitray LASU fee hikes also? |
