na_chris_be_dis: guy the more you talk, the worst you get. you said tiny Cuba defeated US. not coup plotters.Mission to take Cuito?. Answer this: What made the SADF to interfere or launch those late 88-89 operations? Was it to take Cuito or stop the advanced against Mavinga or against UNITA. On which battle did Cuba win against SA during the 88-89 operations? |
agaugust: Cuban exiles of a few hundreds came back home from USA to plan coup on castro, NOT a war.America didn't defeat Iraq alone it was the "coalition". America almost any advantage over Iraq from main battle tanks, better fighter jets, stealth air planes, cruise missiles and troop numbers. Cuba pushed back an American "coup wannabe" operation. |
agaugust: south africa is NOT buying any BVR missile dude, A-Darta is just about the same range as Nigerian PL-9C missile. shut your mouth, liar !We are discussing military stuff here. If you wanna talk about dogs go join some vet forum. I can see you're ignoring the combat radius of your jet again,The F7 is for poor countries Nigeria should get a real fighter plane. |
agaugust: south africa is NOT buying any BVR missile dude, A-Darta is just about the same range as Nigerian PL-9C missile. shut your mouth, liar !The A-darter is better and way deadly than the PL-9C. South Africa will be buying a BVR missile as an interim solution like the Iris-T while development of the Marlin missile is ongoing. A project to acquire the Gripen ammunition has been ongoing for some time now. |
na_chris_be_dis: yet you wrote all these stories while ignoring the fact that m23 is just a small rebel group whose defeat started from when Rwanda and Uganda withdrew support for them. Those countries withdraw their support after their supplies were getting bombed by UN helicopters. Which were called in by South African special forces. |
agaugust: combat radius of F-7 jet and Gripen jet are bothy about the same 850km. both carry missiles with about same range 25km.The F7 can accomplish 850km combat radius or accomplishes that 850km with 3 drop tanks+2 air to air missiles,if engaged your pilots will drop their tanks causing them to crash on their way to their base depending on the time of the dogfight. The Gripen will soon be armed with 5th generation missile+a BVR missile. The A-darter is better, deadly&advanced than any missile on the African continent most pilot will think twice about engage any fighter armed with it. |
na_chris_be_dis: hahahahahahaha. did you say tiny Cuba defeated USA just to console yourself that such an inexperienced army took you to class for more than ten years. please give us proof where Cuba fought US in a conventional war and stop this your stories abeg.Tiny Cuba pushed back many USA "wannabe coup" operations. On which battle did Cuba defeat South Africa? They had air superiority but failed to defeat SA. Correction both South African and Cuban troops withdrawn from Angolan after the agreement. |
agaugust: Ethiopia does not produce such weapons, yet they will defeat South Africa in war until you kneel down and beg Ethiopia for mercy, or you crawl to AU and ask Africa to help you beg Ethiopia to stop deleting your inexperienced army and air force.Inexperienced army + air force? How many missions were flown during the bush war?. Ok Let's compare aerial combat kills between Nigeria and South Africa from jet and helicopters. Ethiopia that can't defeat tiny Eritrea? Their pilots fired AAM at their maximum range making the missiles ineffective. |
agaugust: since your own definition above says conventional warfare is between two states/nations, then is M23 Rebel force a nation ?Without South African Oryx+Rooivalk helicopters M23 would still be kicking MONUSCO's+FARDC's asses. Now you wanna argue on that word "state" ? conventional battles can be fought organisations+rebels or groups. Even before your civil war South African pilots flew during world war 1. |
na_chris_be_dis: it's funny how well you defined it. but yet deny Nigeria ever fought one. when Liberia, biafra, SL, chad, Cameroon should be case studies.Never speak about Biafra cause Nigeria didn't even have an air force then, they hired Egyptian to fly sorties for them. Those other drunk man eating rebels shouldn't even be brought to this topic, soon you gonna tells us "General Butt naked" was a good soldier compared to Colonel Makenga. |
agaugust: show us a list form a reliable source that counted all the M23 Rebel weapons and armoury you just listed above. show us proof and the numbers of those weapons, plus their operational capability and combat readiness of the 'miraculous' equipment you just claimed for M23 Rebels.I posted a video link where the Rooivalk pilot clearly speaks about being fired on by M23. Biafra again? A war of mercinaries?,I'm talking about fighter jets not some aircraft that is pulled forward by a propeller which cannot engaged any jet engined fighter.............Regarding M23 when fighting broke in August Tanzanian artillery+SANDF mortar teams bombarded the Kibati hills, you can remember when I told real/live time events when the tower in kibati was destroyed and captured. Only Ukraine Mi-24P helicopters(from the 8th detachment) ran strife attacks M23 supplies, which were observed by SANDF special forces calling in this choppers. Of all the battalions in the FIB the SANDF battalion(parabats) was the first to use its weapons against some Mai Mai group. South African special forces were further ahead of the two FIB companies which each backed a FARDC battalion, behind this companies a Tanzanian artillery battery was stationed. .....................1.Biafra was a small country 2. With Small army in terms of numbers But how long did it take Nigeria to defeat it?...How many Nigerian soldiers were killed compared to the Biafrans? Taking many casualties than your enemy shows ill training.

agaugust: One single F-7 jet from Nigeria will shoot down the whole Cameroonian air force. What's the combat radius of the F7 jet? How many AAM it carries?. Don't be ignorant and arrogant here you poes. Nigeria should get a REAL fighter jet,the F7 jet is for power countries like Zimbabwe,Namibia and Tanzania not for a regional power. Yes,you can operate it but you must have other fighters like Egypt,Sudan,Pakistan and your masters China are doing. As 2014 approaches SAAF must be happy that its AAM stocks will be replenished by the advanced 5th generation A-Darter missile.

lekkie073: now, Cameroon sef don join d military show against naija. all of una join together like ghazab, una fada yansh!I don't get what you're saying here but Nigeria and Cameroon might/will hold naval drills soon in 2014 like your admiral said. |
Donian007: Next time you want to respond to me do it when you're done with your cigar!Oh you know I'm smoking a fine cigar not some fake Nigerian cigarette. Now if I may ask are there any lies in my post? Is Nigeria producing better 155mm shells,MRAPS,Drones, howitzers,IFVs and mortars than South Africa?. YES or NO please. |
na_chris_be_dis: you are a very funny cow. you call fighting a weak rebel group of less than 5000 men, no anti aircraft missiles and AA guns, less than 10 tanks, no IFV, no aircraft nor helicopter, no standard artillery a conventional warfare?M23 had AA guns. what was used to fire at the UN helicopters?..They even had the praga. M23 had more than ten tanks 4 of them were destroyed by Tanzanian artillery(D30) strikes. Is a fact that Nigeria has never battled an enemy well armed like M23. Now here's definition of conventional warfare: OPENLY CONFRONTING THE FOE------» "Conventional warfare is a form of warfare conducted by using conventional military weapons and battlefield tactics between two or more states in open confrontation. The forces on each side are well-defined, and fight using weapons that primarily target the opposing army.".....5000-6000 is a brigade. |
agaugust: the nigerian offensive is the first retaliation attack on boko haram for the terrorists attack on NAF air base in maiduguri.Your Nigerian army is playing down its casualties. You want me to post an article from the same source you're using now, where an army base was overrun? And your soldiers run around warning people?................Your president said he needed 3/4 months and the Boko haram "problem" will be gone, tomorrow is 2014 Boko haram is still launching well coordinated attacks, not showing any desperation which would be suicide bombers. |
agaugust: south african air force air crash history is far worse than that of nigeria, you have crashed every jet fighter your air force ever purchases.Nigeria didn't have jets back then. That's why you were not crashing any. Nigerian air force has never been involved in a dogfight, you've no air to air combat kill. No Gripens are in storage they're flown on rotation. Check out the Rooivalk pilot doing a GOOD JOB in the DRC http://m.youtube.com/watch?list=UU8yH-uI81UUtEMDsowQyx1g&index=9&v=UWEwF_QyNIY&feature=share&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DUWEwF_QyNIY%26feature%3Dshare%26list%3DUU8yH-uI81UUtEMDsowQyx1g%26index%3D9

agaugust: your long story is full of lies. anyway, south africa was defeated in that war by tiny cuba, read .....You wanna measure victory by the number of equipment that was captured?.....South African captured many T-55 MBTs that the South African army is still using today as practice targets+Chinese rocket launchers the special forces are still using this ones+ Advanced SAM systems+RPGs(in great numbers). Tiny Cuba defeated the USA. South Africa made them realise that prolonging the war was gonna be costly in blood and fought on divisional scale when they called up 140 000 soldiers. |
drag_on: What about white officersMaybe you're misunderstanding the term "conventional warfare",SANDF+TDF fought a conventional warfare style battles with the M23. Which possessed tanks, artillery, mortars, vehicles,AA guns,MRLS and other chinese rockets. Your army has never seen no action. SPINELESS army that has never fired counter battery artillery strikes. |
agaugust: yes , and your south african air force Mirage F-1 jet fighters got shot down by ordinary hand-held one man SAM-7 Cuban anti-aircraft missiles, then your air force began to hide their jets on the ground and avoided flying combat mission regularly.A jet that was used to shoot down a MIG-21,Nigeria still flies a copy of this jet. It even shoot down MI-24 helicopters which Nigeria flies. South Africa didn't enjoy air superiority cause of the appearance of the MIG-23,but fought well wiping out entire battalions and brigades. SA artillery crews showing how well trained they were camouflaged their G5 and G6 guns, using the "shoot and scoot" tactic avoided air strikes destroying their equipment. NO missile was ever shoot against a Nigerian jet. |
drag_on: Recent peacekeeping actions on the behalf of the South African military include the South African intervention in Lesotho in order to restore the democratically-elected government after a coup, as well as extensive contributions to the United Nations peacekeeping operations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi. An operation to Sudan has recently begun and is scheduled to be increased to Brigade strength.white officers?......The SANDF has many or a lot of white colonels compared to any other race. Show where us where Nigeria fought a conventional battle against an enemy that holds land, having to push them back. NONE!!!!!! |
agaugust: those old SAAF pilots of 27 years ago have retired or quit flying, they are NOT the ones flying Rooivalk for you now.Yes,they hard landed a single Rooivalk. But your Nigerian lagos, marijuana, crack smoking pilots crashed three interceptor jets(F7). Many retired pilots are involved in the military. Tell me this Rooivalk pilot looks like "amateur" to you. NO missile was ever fired at a Nigerian aircraft. www.sabc.co.za/news/a/8ab6fb80424e6a278c56fe56d5ffbd92/SA-soldiers-to-spend-Christmas-in-DRC-20131224 |
agaugust: All the current south african air force jets fighters and pilots of today have ZERO combat experience.M23 was better armed than any enemy Nigeria armed forces have ever faced. Tanzania never led any battle in front of brave SA soldiers they(SA soldiers) were the first to engage rebels in the DRC,Tells us on which front or battle was SA led into battle. World scale amphibious landing? Against what? Hungry rebels that were resorting to cannibalism?. Nigeria has experienced against unsophisticated, ill trained, ill discipline, not better equipped rebels. The Gripens were deployed in reccon role during operation uxolo, the entire 2 squadron was activated. |
agaugust: you think international politics, diplomacy and war is that simple ?An attack on a NATO member is an attack on the entire NATO member countries. Ukraine was forced by Russia not to join to they threatened to close some pipelines. Russia+China+Pakistan know that in terms of military technology they're a 1 or 2 decades behind the USA and other western countries, they would never risk a open fight against NATO and its allies. 1. USA 2. South Korea 3. Australia 4. Italy 5. Germany 6.Poland 7. Sweden 8. France 9.Japan 10.Canada 11. Norway 12. India 13. Saudi Arabia 14. Israel 15. Turkey plus others,This countries will crash Russia,Ukraine,North Korea,Pakistan,Iran,Nigeria plus others if World war 3 erupts. |
na_chris_be_dis: I think the fact that Nigeria is able to manufacture some of it's weapons on it's own really bites you stup1d south Africans. you never thought any African country would be able to measure up right.Even Sudan produces some weapons. But what we are saying is SOUTH AFRICA'S DEFENCE INDUSTRY IS BETTER THAN THAT OF NIGERIA. |
agaugust: it will make no difference because nigeria manufactures everything it needs to sustain its army in basic combat for as long as needed....Let's look into the rubbish here. First artillery/howitzer shells did you know long range howitzers will need their barrels changed after a month of sustained firing?......Which MRAPS are you talking about? And which IFV are you talking about?...........South Africa produces advanced systems which can start to overwhelm Nigeria within 7 months of fighting. Nigeria produces standard artillery shells=South Africa advanced V-LAP and other rounds including radar screening,HEAT+propaganda leaflets dropping shells.........Every foreign weapon purchase by South Africa will have South African systems in it. The Hawks were produced in SA. The Rooivalk is a SA made AT helo,as much as the Westland Apache is British and the Abrams MBT is American. Nigeria produces weapons,YES we know. But South Africa produces better versions of those. WE CAN COMPARE. |
agaugust: yes your Rooivalk is more of a christmas party item, good for fancy video making and exageration of real battlefield performance.Do you know how many anti-aircraft missiles or SAMs SAAF has flown against?. A force of 3000 or 4000 SANDF mechanised, motorised, artillery, parabats plus other units can reach Nairobi from any of their boarders within 7 days....................Let's compare the Rooivalk to your soviet era rust buckets the Mi-24/35 helicopters. The best of their(mi-24/35) series is operated by Algeria the super hind,it is a South African upgrade. By a company which was created by Rooivalk designers. |
agaugust: you must have been drinking your beer directly from the storage tank in the brewery.Of course I had the opportunity of tasting our quality beer from the SAB,I can now even that new topic(which country produces the best beer in Africa)..........You must be shaking knowing I'm back+Boko haram might blow you up anytime. |
NaijaPikinGidi: An arms industry yet a spineless SANDF afraid to go into infantry or any kind of battle to use your fabled DENEL weapons.Denel weapons? Let read this 1. The Rooivalk is a "flying devil" in the DRC. 2 The NTW-20 was used successfully to take out a machine gun post 3. 81mm mortars destroyed M23 during the battle of kibati towers 4. The Cassipirs were used during operation Uxolo+Oryx helicopter+Rooivalks .........A spineless defence force is that of Nigeria some of its soldiers are beating up innocent civilians in the Northern part. |
rka1: Mr Hollywood is back with all shiny toys and no action. Fantasy man.Shiny toys? This are Gripens during operation Uxolo. Below are the aviation crews in the DRC. South Africans sees and has seen or been in combat than Nigeria. FARDC was able to retake a village in the DRC after the Rooivalk was called upon to "check out" rebels. NIGERIA SEES NO ACTION AND HAS NEVER SEEN ANY CONVENTIONAL WARFARE ACTION.
|
NaijaPikinGidi: Senselessness is back from hiding! Read the context of Donian007's comment and retrace your steps!South Africa has the BIGGEST ARMS INDUSTRY IN AFRICA.
