Hi,Mr No Brain. Ever heard about holidays?. I'm back again to take you brainless folks back to class again. And did you hear/read how bad ass the Rooivalk performed on Christmas?

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 11:38am On Dec 29, 2013
Donian007: Cameroon should start thinking to contract Nigeria whose naval dockyards are capable of building naval platforms of same sizes and capabilities as these from spain. While Nigeria can now build vessels up to 50 metres for even sale Cameroon is still a speedboat importing French colony. Your are surely no match!
Are you bringing weapons industry into this. South Africa has a bigger and better weapons industry than Nigeria, but you blokes were reluctant to admit that this would influence the outcome of a war between both countries if it ever became a possibility.

agaugust: one NNS Aradu, two NNS Thunder I and II (second NNS Thunder sister ships is joining our navy next year 2014), two ultra-modern Type 056 Stealth warships will escort NNS AMBE landing ship to invade south africa. that is one of the most powerful escort force you can get in Africa.

two NATO standard nigerian air force ATR-42 Surveyor maritime patrol aircraft and 50 jet fighters plus 400 patrol boats, 660 coastal artillery, two La Combattante warships NNS ANYAM and NNS SIRI armed with Exocet M38 anti-ship missiles are enough to keep away threat at home nigeria.

south african navy will be too busy at home facing a deadly nigerian navy fleet and will not risk travelling 5,000 km away to nigeria in a counter attack that will expose them to sinking by nigerian air force jets and coastal artillery.

any south african special forces troop will meet their sudden death from nigerian navy special forces, nigerian army amphibious forces and nigerian navy massive force of 400 sophisticated in-shore and mid-shore fast patrol gun boats in the first group photo below. you think Nigeria is equal to Botswana ?

second solo photo below is NNS AMBE landing ship of nigerian navy with its flat frontal landing ramp for armoured vehicles and artillery to land.

540 troops on NNS Ambe, no, we will about 3,000 troops on ordinary troop transport ships like we did in sierra leone war.

NNS Ambe is not limited to the weapons list on global security website i posted to educate you since you never even knew NNS Ambe exists.

we can put only Cobra/VBL armed with swingfire anti-tank missile or BTR-3U on NNS Ambe, why should we use an old T-55 Tank when we have modern armoured vehicles that can launch anti-tank weapons ? we can even put in Sagaie wheeled IFV with 90mm guns.

i wont tell you now how many intelligent weapons mix we can do on NNS Ambe. you just think like a kid grin

NNS Ambe has range of 10,000km enough to sail from nigeria to south africa and return back to nigeria without refuelling. use your head well.

NNS AMBE DATA

Displacement: 1190t standard, 1470t full, 1590t design limit Dimensions: 285’4”x45’9”x7’5” Machinery: Diesel-reduction: 2 MTU 16V956-TB92 diesels, 4 shafts Max speed: 17kts

Range: 4900NM @ 10kts loaded (about 10,000 km range).

no south african air force jet or helicopter will ever dare to fly when nigeria's NNS ARADU is threatening your homeland with Aspide Beyond Visual Range anti-aircraft missiles of 75km range. get it ? grin

the aim of an invasion is not to win but to shake south africa to its foundations with the fireballs of war on your homeland soil !

.
We are comparing current military capability,to determine who's the best on the continent. Not what a country's future capabilities will be. Let me get this Nigeria transport 3000 troops+tanks, ammunition, food, howitzers and other heavy equipment on which ships?..........Nigerian armour like your cobra and VBL MBTs would be destroyed by the ZTA3 ratel. The cobra can easily be destroyed by the Rooikat high velocity modified navy gun. Even so 3000 troops will never win any battle against 39 000 well equipped soldiers.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 10:04pm On Dec 15, 2013
agaugust: sorry dude, you were actually crushing your own tiny balls and they are already leaking like a broken bag of pure water grin

i will answer your posts number by number same way you raised your foolish points.

1. Roland missile of nigeria shot down two supersonic 2,400 km/hr speed NATO Tornado jets in combat, you failed there my boy .

"Iraq is believed to have received 100 Rolands, and a Roland SAM is believed to have shot down 2 Panavia Tornado jet aircraft during Operation Desert Storm"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland-(missile)

next, you CANNOT use a slow speed Rooivalk helicopter against a Roland that shoots down the most powerful jet fighters in the world. it will foolishness and calamity for the south air force to try that with nigeria.

Rooivalk helicopter has NO RADAR dude ! grin

your soweto helicopter fires only by sight and seeing target.

"The Rooivalk is not equipped with a fire control radar,” says Van Rooyen, unlike the AH-64D Apache and the Tiger. the Rooivalk is only fitted with an electro-optical sight system which incorporates a FLIR and a TV sensor, targets are only found by aided sight."

http://www.engineeringnews.co.za/article/the-rebirth-of-the-rooivalk-2011-05-20

abuja's Roland anti-aircraft missile has a radar range of 18km, we see your Rooivalk helicopter from far away 18km, now dude, that is death !

your 10km range mokopa missile is just a useless distance, Rooivalk needs to come close to Roland SAM and to find it by electro-aided eye sight and lock on it and keep on locking while it exposes itself to Roland anti-aircraft missiles. even the mighty world best Apache long bow helicopter gunship radar range for targeting is only 8km so it has to get closer than 8km to the target.

Rooivalk is even worse, it will be less than 5km to the target to find, identify, and confirm the Roland target because Rolands usually hide like other air defences under heavy camouflage nets, or behind buildings, or in the bush, see sample photo below .

Roland has 18km radar and 8 km missile....all your eleven Rooivalk helicopters will not survive 2 minutes with a our deadly Roland SAM....fool !

Roland radar range 18km vs Rooivalk zero radar and its 10km mokopa anti-tank missile. Roland sees the Rooivalk from 18km far away distance in an open and exposed sky, while the Rooivalk cannot see the Roland. Now that is imminent death for your unlucky helicopters.

Rooivalk cannot see Roland camoflagued in bush or city behind tall buildings unless Rooivalk moves to close visual range and identify the Roland like 5km then Roland miissile fires and roasts all your Rooivalk helicopters in 2 minutes.

even nigerian Type 90 computerized anti-aircraft guns with over 6km range will shoot down all south african Rooivalk helicopters with ease.

2. Umbani guided bomb of south africa has NO RADAR too dude ! grin

Umbani too is only laser guided and needs an aircraft to help it illuminate the target on ground, so how does your Hawk jets find a. Roland without getting close to it and being shot down like a mosquito facing Baygon insecticide grin

Hawk jet has NO RADAR to fire control support a 120km bomb, and the bomb does not even allow radar guidance, so how does it travel 120km to the exact target Roland that is hidden deep inside enemy territory of nigerian army ?

dont let the shiny paints on south african weapons fool you, they have very many limitations and weaknesses that you guys never research into.

so your laser cannot find Roland, your Paveway II and Umbani slow speed guided bombs are a waste when you face a powerful country like nigeria. go try your bombs on Burundi or Namibia grin

3. see mister comdey ,a CRAM (Counter Rocket Artillery Mortar) is for stopping very high speed ammunition like rockets, shells, and mortars that fly at about 3,000 km/hr high speed, NOT your snail speed slow Umbani guided bomb of speed 80 km/hr.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter_Rocket,_Artillery,_and_Mortar

nigerian Type 90 anti-aircraft gun has muzzle velocity speed of fire about 4,000 km/hr and is designed to shoot down even cruise missile.

"The weapon was designed to engage high-speed, low-flying aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and cruise missiles."

http://www.sinodefence.com/army/antiaircraft/type90towed35mm.asp

ordinary nigerian anti-aircraft guns alone will shoot down all south african slow speed guided bombs, anytime, any day FACT !!!!

4. there is no number 4 in your comments....your leaking balls must be paining you seriously grin

5. where will your south african special forces be to be lighting up nigerian weapons with lasers, inside nigerian army base or what ?
okay then maybe i can say nigerian special forces too will be operating inside south african army base ? fool grin

6. the same death i explained for your Hawk jets, also awaits your Gripen jets, i wont waste readers time on this forum again with Roland vs Gripen simulation, your soldiers have agreed we will shoot down your nice looking jets and waste your money.

7. i answered that in number 3 above.

now that your two balls have been crushed by nigerians, how will you give your wife 'belle' ? grin

.
It pains me to know there's someone who can still think rub.bish like this. Here's my address to your above nonsense 1. The Roland is "believed" to have shot down, meaning it is not proven we discus facts not rumours. The Tornado in Iraq was flying low one was broad down by AA guns. 2. Rooivalk weak cause of radar? South Africa doesn't have a lot them which would be a necessity to equip them with radar. 3 The Rooivalk uses advanced sensors a tank on the ground can spot a target 5km away, how about helicopters? The Mokopa doesn't need radar to hit target....The USA Apaches didn't have the long bow radar system in Iraqi but fired their 8km Hellfire missiles. Your Roland has a operational ceiling of 5km the Gripen can flying 11km above it using the DJRP to spot and destroy it with free fall bombs "Surface to Air (SAM) Roland II

Unless you can show us where it is written that the type-90 guns can be used to destroy incoming fire. 5. South African special forces have operated meters away from enemy bases without betraying their positions, they did so in Angola and are doing so in the DRC..........

bullets are flying on the streets all over south africa grin

"In August, robbers broke into Tutu's Cape Town home while he and his wife Leah were sleeping. The two weren't harmed. In 2007, thieves broke into his home in Johannesburg's Soweto township and stole, among other things, his Nobel Prize medal. Police later recovered it. grin

Robbers aren't a military threat whatsoever. Robbers or the rate robberies doesn't speak or represent any country's military capabilities. Boko haram is a military threat hampering your armed forces' effort to accomplish its constitutional mandate of protecting Nigerians, who are slaughtered in the northern part of your country. Submarines Vs Warships....who is stronger ?

first, i remind you that NNS ARADU's Otomat missile itself is partially stealth anti-ship missile.

a stealth warship is NOT invisible to radar, it only looks smaller like half its real size. dont carry your imaginations beyond reality man !

south african warships have only a short ranged surface to air missile defence, but NNS ARADU's Otomat is a surface to surface anti-ship missile, it does not go up like an aircraft in the sky for your surface to air missiles to stop it, Otomat hugs the ocean waters as a sea skimming missile and south africa has NO defensive missile against that.

only an anti-missile Missile can attempt to stop an Otomat, and south africa has no anti- missile Missile designed for that special role.

next point....you think submarines are a magical weapon platform ? against civilian ships yes. against naval warships no !

in world war II germany lost about 800 of its 1,200 submarines in combat and 300 of those submarines were sunk by warships.

germany's 1,200 submarines sank about 2,700 civilian merchant ships but only 180 naval warships in battles at sea.

http://www.navyhistory.org.au/british-and-german-submarine-statistics-of-world-war-ii/

if submarines are the magical weapons you south africans think they are, all big navies of the world will sell off their warships and buy only submarines. you dont know the technical limitations of submarines in naval warfare.

you think they are spirits that cannot be sunk while they have fun sinking ships, reason why i posted that link for you above.

out of 1,200 german submarines, ships sank 300 of those submarines in world war II, while the submarines sank only 180 of the warships.

who won the battle between ships and submarines ? the ships of course, statistics prove it in real war.

on the average for sea battles, when submarines sink one ship, the other ships sink two submarines also.

in year 2004 American Navy upgraded its anti-submarine capability against even the very modern Gotland class submarine which they wisely bought and experimented with to know how to defeat the Swedish submarine.

no real war has ever been fought in history between a warship with modern sonar and modern submarine. War games are only exercises for training, no live weapons are fired on each other, training is NOT war of fight to finish, kill and be killed.

The weakness of hidden submarines is that once they fire torpedoes, their hidden position is detected and the ship fires anti-submarine torpedoes too.

warships like NNS ARADU at almost 70km/hr moves 10 times faster than submerged submarines of only 7km/hr.

also, NNS ARADU at 70km/hr moves faster than torpedoes of 55km/hr coming from submarines.

enemy submarine moving at 7km/hr is 6 times slower than torpedoes of speed 45km/hr fired by NNS ARADU's.

i just showed you the technical reason why warships sink more submarines in real battle, not your games played between friendly navies that no weapons at all.

In real war, both the warship and submarine have a nearly close balance of power, but war history gives the victory of greater kills in favour of warships.

Worst for the submarine are the Lynx antisubmarine helicopters of Nigerian navy carried on board our NNS ARADU, once a submarine fires torpedoes the location is revealed as well as it's bearings /cardinal point direction at it moves at 7km/hr slow snail speed it will be hunted and sunk because the submarine will be about only 20km away from the ship due to short range of torpedoes.

a nigerian Lynx anti-submarine helicopter armed with its new upgraded year 2014 detector sonar and torpedoes flying safely at speed 300km/hr pursuing a south african submarine just 20km away while the slow submarine is trying to run away at snail slow speed of 7km/hr, it takes on 3 minutes for the helicopter to be exactly over the head of the submarine ! soweto's submarine is going to its sea bed grave for burial that day !

also, submarines hidden and submerged cannot stay more than about 24 hours under water without rushing back to the surface to save diesel fuel from finishing, only nuclear fuelled submarines can stay underwater hidden for weeks and no country in Africa has it.

You think a submarine is a mammy water spirit that cannot be destroyed ? No sir, you got it all wrong !

NNS ARADU, supported by our two new stealth Type 056 warships will lead a nigerian sea invasion of south africa and there will be terror and fear in your country when we arrive your waters !

.
Another lesson 1. Sea skimming missiles are not magic or a new thing. 2. The Umkhonto SAM is a point defence missile it protect the ship from the surface of the water until its ceiling (left right, front and behind),saying because it launches vertically won't engage sea skimming missiles is stupid cause after an incoming missile is detected the missile launches guided by radar toward the target(high or low) when the target is close its infrared kicks in locking the missile on the target 3. The USA never bought the Gotland class submarine they leased it 4. The Arandu can't fight a stealth frigate plus a submarine at the same time 5. German U-boats were sunked because they had to surface regularly to charge their batteries, the snorkels installed later in that war would have been trouble 6. YOUR KNOWLEDGE IS QUESTIONABLE.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeZA: 9:57pm On Dec 12, 2013
agaugust: first point, south africa is NOT equal to NATO/EUROPE, you are mere soweto mofos of africa grin

nigerian Roland SAM missiles will shot down all south african jets. we proved that many times here.

Umbani bomb of south africa CANNOT work against nigerian air defence because it uses laser to find the enemy, nigerian army will see the laser ray from the south african hawk jets and shoot them down.

your hawk jets have very weak radar and cannot find the Roland without getting close, then the Roland radar or electro-optical will pick up the Hawks and shoot down all your jets even before they launch any laser guided bomb.

worse for your Gripen jet that has a stronger radar than Hawk jet, but Gripen can only carry Paveway guided bomb with range only 20km, and Gripen needs to find the Roland and light it up with laser beams, then it gets too close within the Roland missile range and gets shot down.

all your guided bombs are slow speed weapons designed in reality, for stationary targets like houses that cannot move away from a slow speed bomb, so all your Umbani and Paveway bombs will be shot down by nigerian Type 90 computerized anti-aircraft gun with superb rapid fire and super high speed anti-aircraft 35mm shells.

you dont know how guided bombs work, they need laser beam to guide them to their targets, and the jet fighter needs to find that target first, be very sure it is the right target, and illuminate it with the laser light beams, hoping their will be no air defence from the ground against the jets now in close range to enemy air defences....

but no, nigeria will dash that hope, we have the best anti-aircraft weapons in all africa as at today.

laser guided bombs are NOT magical weapons dude, they work well against an enemy that has weak air defences only, not Nigeria's level

.
Your lack of military knowledge is proven here again. 1. The Roland has never shot down any supersonic jet,it show dowm sub-sonic jets,it even has small range of 8km which makes it exposed to the Rooivalk mokopa missile 2. The Umbani has a range of 120km out of your Roland range, read my next point carefully I'm about to teach you something .3 No computerised gun can shoot down incoming(mortar, shells and missiles),only the USA and Israel have systems that are CRAM capable example being the Iron dome air defence system. Your type 90 gun is not a CRAM system STOP DREAMING. Without highly advanced radar to track small rounds, like a bomb any system will burn. NIGERIA DOESN'T HAVE CRAM CAPABILITY. Get it over your head tired of teaching you 5. Laser guided bombs can be guided by special forces operators with laser designation binoculars or other hand portable small systems 6. The Gripen can "light up" the target with its laser while hawk launches the bomb and the bomb shall be guided by the Gripen. 7. SHOW ME WHERE IT IS WRITTEN THAT THE TYPE 90 IS CRAM capable.............Mike..Za again whooping your blue balls

how did you think nigeria moved 15,000 soldiers from lagos to liberia/sierra leone about 3,000 km away moving our heavy armour and artillery ?

you think we drove our army on land through 6 other west african countries territories ? fool grin

nigeria has capacity to invade south africa. i have studied it carefully and i have an invasion master plan. FACT !

.
I will address this post with 6 points. 1. Your ship will need escort ships to escort it to SA against threats posed by submarines, meaning without any frigate protecting Nigeria's water a group of special forces can attack your armament ports. 2. Your ship can only transport 540 troops, whom will need another supply ship carrying munitions, water, food and fuel trucks 3. Nigerian artillery will be useless cause there will be no air strips for your drones to fly from. 4. Nigeria won't come guns blazing, with 5 T-55 tanks which the SANDF uses as training shooting targets. 5.Your ship will have to stop at some port making it a nice target for the Umbabi PGM 6. To invade a well equipped country, you'll many ships to transport your first bunch of troops which will attack and hold areas for incoming troops to launch attacks from but if gonna bring a single ship with 540 troops to fight for more than week against a army without supplies you're crazy. Boko Haram has camps inside Nigeria unlike the Al shabaab which was kicked, and won't dare attack Kenyan attack helicopter fleet. Kenya did a mistake by rushing regular troops inside that mall, instead of using highly trained special forces.

I can too ask: Show me where your anit-ship missiles destroyed a stealth frigate, armed with point defence surface to air missiles..........The American navy's butt has been kicked many times by the Gotland class diesel submarine. NATO too had its ships sunk by a South African diesel submarine. America uses advanced detecting systems that are way advanced compared to Nigeria's,yet they fail to detected diesel submarines.

.
Air defence is not about ground based systems only. Air superiority by fighter jets and scanning the skies with radar is what really counts. Your Roland can be destroyed precision guided munitions like the paveway smartbombs or the Umbani PGM. You too remember images of the palamaria 155mm self propelled howitzer destroyed by NATO air strikes in Libya. And please wonder why France used LGM in Mali.

agaugust: Since your whole air force is now proved useless against NNS ARADU it means Nigeria can invade South Africa by sea and make Mandela tremble in his grave.

.
1. Nigeria doesn't have amphibious assault ships to transport troops in long ranges like from Nigeria to South Africa. 2. NNS Aradu can be sunk by a SAN submarine. 3. Your invading troops will need air cover or support against relentless air strikes by the South African air forces. 4. Nigeria doesn't have the capability to transport heavy weapons like tanks, fuel trucks and recovery vehicles, this can be proven by the fact that Nigeria can't retrieve/bring home its weapons from Mali which were flown there by the RAF. 5. Nigeria lacks the capacity to treat its wounded soldiers, currently some were sent abroad. 6. Nigeria would be forced down to her knees by sanctions, coming down to which country between the foes can produce and service its weapons systems.

.
Name dropping doesn't change a thing. This American anti-submarines detectors are the ones failing the detected diesel submarines?. American and British detectors time by time fail to detected diesel submarines they failed in South Africa and many which I cannot count in Sweden. Diesel submarines are hard to detect by using systems intended for BIG nuclear submarines. YOUR ARANDU WILL MAKE A NICE HOUSE FOR DIFFERENT FISH SPECIES.

.
The best air defence?. With a couple of old Rolands? 16 launchers to be precise and 12 F-7 jets. Egypt,Algeria and South Africa are the best countries in that field.

Henry120: KENYA'S shopping mall massacre shook the world. Yet all it took was four terrorists with guns. Now, investigators say they all escaped.

It's a story of chaos, confusion - and corruption.

The New York Police Department has conducted its own in-depth analysis of the September attack which killed more than 60 at the Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi. It was an exercise designed to familiarise the often-targeted city's law enforcers with what to expect.

Their discoveries have debunked much of what Kenyan authorities claim, and painted a frightening picture of the power of a few angry men with guns.

And they doubt the terrorists died in the collapsing building.

"As a cop, I'm very sceptical of claims until I see proof," Lt. Detective Commander Kevin Yorke, who oversaw the report, said. He added that there is "a lot of doubt in my mind it is true."

Detective Yorke said it was only now a real picture was emerging from 'the fog of war'.

But the most startling component of the report is the dangerous incompetence shown by Kenya's military and police reaction.

Bloody terrorists escaped and Al shabaab is increasing its attacks on Kenya. It is about time Kenya gets drones to patrol its boarders.

France has helicopters + fighter planes doing recce missions. After two of their men were killed they stopped patrolling for hours. You out of all people know I like talking about facts: Show me where South Africans ran. Cause even right now the FDLR in the DRC is on the receiving end of our precise weapons.

is any south african military man bold enough to show me how your over-rated and poorly armed Gripen jets and Hawk jets will face nigerian NNS ARADU at sea combat without being shot down and torn into many pieces ?

The Gripens aren't equipped with anti-ship missiles. Make no mistake of that cause anti-ship are available for the Griffin from Sweden. Fact is: The Nigerian navy can be defeated by the SAN in the sea.

Ever heard about shopping trolleys? Are this drones pushed around instead of flying?. I can too put up pictures of weapon systems of South Africa armed forces which aren't used.

agaugust: is your brain locked up by a herbalist juju ? do you ever learn ?

i told you 7 x 7 times that weapon platforms dont fight according to their age, name, or model, but according to the armaments/ordinance/munitions they carry.

NNS ARADU's Otomat anti-ship missiles are the most deadly in the world, and defeated the whole american navy's modern warships in live combat testing, Otomat is a partial-stealth missile your dull brain does not know.

i challenge any south african military general or analyst to face me on NNS ARADU vs ANY SOWETO WARSHIP, let us prove our claims in a combat simulation, bring it on south africans if you dare !

Otomat missile is partly a Stealth missile you dont know ?

Otomat has been tested again and again and over too much tested and proved unstoppable in europe and america.

" In another example at least 8 missiles were bought by US Navy: thanks to a evasive, final maneuver, the majority of these weapons, called LRAT (Long Range Attack Target) Otomat missile penetrated inside the formidable missile defenses of US ships . To improve the missile chances of hitting, its nose and wing shapes were optimized for a reduced radar cross section (RCS). Range was improved to 250–300 km while keeping the same dimensions of the previous versions. The warhead was kept at 210 kg but fitted with an armored casing and less sensitive explosives which lowered its chances of being destroyed by close-in weapon systems. Three Otomat missiles were test launched in 1994–1995 with good results."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otomat

mighty american navy is the most powerful in the world....they could NOT jam the Otomat missile because it had its own counter-measures/anti-jamming devices....ALL american navy electronics and technology and defense missiles could NOT stop a single Otomat.

south african navy has NO defence against Otomat missile, all your Exocet missiles are inferior in range and stealth capacity.

please leave this topic...lets talk something new...

Aradu means Thunder in Igbo land, and a full Thunder strike means instant death

NNS Arandu can be send deep down by a SAN submarine easily.

Fighter Pilot: I already told him that SA with 45000MW is still experiencing power shadding and now i wanted him to tell me how the hell on earth can 4000MW provide electricity to more than 40 million people, unless of course they use it only for lighting which is still impossible. No wonder there are no any electronic gates in Nigeria. They are still utilising gate man even to this age who manually opens and close the gate, unlike in SA where gates are eletronically operated.
NIGERIA IS JOKE 1. Majority of Nigerians use generators, yet feel like the government is doing enough for them. 4000MW for a 150 million? 2. On some humour: 77% of Nigerian women bleach their skin. 3. Boko Haram is still going 7 months after massive troops were poured to the north.

NaijaPikinGidi: Shut the eff up!! What law? Are you mad? Don't start what you can't finish! Point to the law young man! DENEL and SANDF are two different entities that must survive based on their individual commercial turnovers or fiscal budgetary allocations each year! SANDF will use products/weapons based on COD or on a firm articulated contractual basis! Stop feeding yourself with more delusions. cool cool
During a major war. Denel will provide the SANDF with quality equipment. Even prototypes like during the bush war when the Ratel ZT-3 was sent into Angola in prototype form. The army already has five Badger IFVs+ small units of the G7 105mm howitzer now you're trying to tell us this systems won't be deployed if SA's land was threatened?........FACT is Nigeria would struggle to service or get spare for its soviet era systems in a major war against another country. Which world powers would strongly oppose.

Henry120: The presidency through the Office of the National
Security Adviser (NSA) has opened a crisis management
room to enable President Goodluck Jonathan respond to
disasters and other security challenges from any part of
the world.

It is headed by the director, presidential
communication, Command and Control Centre (PC4),
Gen. T.T. Waya.

The centre is equipped with audio and video facilities
that enhance communication between and among all
stakeholders.

NSA’s special adviser on media, Karounwi Adekunle told
LEADERSHIP Weekend yesterday that, on assumption
of office, the NSA (Col. Sambo Dasuki) felt the need to
create a rallying point for the president and his strategic
aides.

“Prior to this, there was no control point for crisis
management and emergency. To put it modestly, no clear picture of operation. When the NIGCOMSAT infrastructure was de-orbited, crisis management system collapsed,” he stated.

He said though the project was initiated by the late
NSA, Gen. Andrew Azazi, Dasuki built it with a state-of-
the-art infrastructure that was consistent with the
British Cabinet Office (COBR) and the American
Situation Room, adding that work on it commenced in
December last year.

Noting that work started principally with civil
infrastructure and ICT components, Adekunle added
that much time was spent on construction due to its
complex nature to enable real-time information with
secure audio and data video clips.

“Project was completed in August 2013 and
commissioned by President Jonathan on September 2,
2013 for which the NSA was chief host and Brig-Gen.
T.T. Waya (rtd), director, presidential communication,
Command and Control Centre (PC4), was host. This
crisis management centre would enable the president
and his strategic aides to arrive at informed decisions in
accordance with global best practices,” he explained.

On the advantages of the centre, he said it would
“enable real-time communication by audio and video
data communication between and within stakeholders.
This is an area the NSA is very much interested in”.
It would also enable table-top and simulation exercises,
he added.

“The facilities underscore the importance of giving the
president a clear view of any crisis, be it natural or
human-induced.

The capability of forecasting on the direction and
outcome of crisis in future, such as drought, famine …
so that the country can make adequate preparation.

“Strategic stakeholders, ministers, heads of security
agencies can ask for footages and other relevant
information.

It is quite instructive to note that, with these facilities,
the president has the capacity to contain or mitigate
disasters anywhere he is,” he said.

Shut UP!!! No one got time for this. All eyes are on the SANDF Operation Uxolo: 11 000 troops the entire 2 squadron has been activated + 85 combat school. The Rooivalks + A109s are doing runs between Pretoria and johannesburg.......... WHO SAID SAAF HAS 6 PILOTS AGAINhuh??

chris365: Transmittion is what delivers power to the people. Not just capacity generated. How come up to 5 million south Africans still have never seen light before.

and what do you think has been causing your electricity crises recently.

Nigeria generates 4000MW yet delivers power to more than 40 million people. that is almost the same amount SA is gives power with 40000MW.
Tell me the difference.
40 million out 150 million? Nigeria is a joke,NO you're a joke. You're probably using a candle right now to light up your house, cause of power cuts. What's causing Nigeria's electricity crises? POOR PLANNING.

NO NO!! You deal with it igbo boy. Boko Haram is destroying your attack helicopters while SAAF's helos are making a change in the DRC. NO bombings SA. In other news read this quote "
Of course the 4,000MW now being generated
for Nigeria's population of 150 million is still far
too low. In contrast, Brazil generates 100,000MW
of grid-based power for 201 million and South
Africa generates 40,000MW for 50 million."

agaugust: make all the noise you want like a police man chasing armed robbers.

listen to military tactics, south africa has NO weapon that can challenge NNS Aradu, its Otomat anti-ship missile range is double of south african Exocet missiles. Aradu's Aspide anti-aircraft missile is 75km range and will shoot down the whole south african air force Gripen and Hawk jets even before they come close. Nigeria has BVR missiles on Aradu, south africa has no BVR or stand-off missile, FACT !!!

only south african submarines can threaten Aradu, but she has a brand new and modern American submarine detector sonar plus anti-submarine torpedoes, and when our Lynx anti-submarine helicopters come back from upgrade in march 2014 plus our brand new stealth warships, all south african submarines will be in danger, a 50-50 battle, only God knows who will win in open international sea, but close in nigerian waters EEZ, south african navy will be sunk down to meet mammy water at sea bottom.

your dead soweto navy sailors' spirits can marry fine mammy water if they wish, she is africa's most beautiful mermaid grin

Arandu can't deal with a stealth frigate plus a submarine at the same time. Without a sweat your rust buckets will be suck. The Nigerian navy can't take on SAN. NO FUTURE TALK PLEASE!!!!!!! Nigerian warships in international waters can't fight stealth frigates plus submarines around.
