Theres nothing to worry about. Just use the address on your CAS. The school address usually varies sometimes i.e. Your school most likely put the school's registry address while your department has a different postcode because they aren't in the same building. Celomomo: |
While you'll be submitting your sponsorship letter, your dependant will need to submit his/her bank statement or yours showing that the money has been held for 28 days (in your account or his/her account) before their application. This is based on the assumption that your sponsorship doesn't include them since you didn't confirm that it does. To make it simpler for you, put the funds that they require into the account to be used, count 28 days from the day after the total required is in your account, and on the 29th day, submit your application. After submitting, print the statement for the 28 days before your application submission and upload to the document submission portal along with other documents. You can include the 29th day in your statement to avoid counting errors on your part. The Oanda rate for the day you submit will be used to convert your funds to £. Risazii: |
Your sponsorship letter must state that the sponsorship covers your tuition plus maintenance and your dependants' maintenance for the duration of your course. If your sponsorship letter doesn't state this, you'll have to show the maintenance requirements for your dependants in your account or your dependants' accounts. Risazii: |
Since you're sponsoring yourself, you don't need your birth certificate; your statement of account is sufficient to show your funds. quille11: |
As far as I know, no. As long as the money has been held for 28 days before your application as stipulated by UKVI, you're good. Mosopea: |
1. It doesn't matter that your brother paid your fees. Under the T4 rules, if you aren't sponsoring yourself, your parents are the only family who can sponsor you and even though other family members can actually give you money for this, they don't count as sponsors. If you're asked for the source of money in your account(s) simply state that your husband gave you which is true. You might also be asked if you have any friends and family in the UK; you'd have to say the truth about this so that it doesn't affect your future applications as you'd be asked to state all family member within and outside the UK depending on what your subsequent applications will be. 2. Give the address and briefly explain that you'd be moving from there as soon as you rent a place. You might or might not be asked about the kind of accomodation options you are exploring for when you move. 3. I think those are okay except you've got other documents that can strengthen your application. You don't need the WhatsApp/FB messages if you and your spouse have not had any periods of living apart within the last 2 years. Mosopea: |
1. What happened to your birth certificate? Are your parents sponsoring you? If your parents aren't sponsoring you, you don't need your birth certificate. Age declaration affidavits are legally accepted but you might need to take this to the NPC to get an attestation letter. 2. Depends on the school. Some schools ask while some don't. 3. TB test certificates have a validity of 6 months so if you do it now, it might expire before the ECO decides your application. I'd suggest that you do it closer to your application date. quille11: |
You don't need it if it isn't stated on your CAS. eddieifeoluwa: |
Then you'll have to make the complication easy to understand. You can't afford to gloss it over on your application. Finger prints are kept forever and are used for cross-referencing in order to prevent crime and catch situational inconsistencies. Fame2me79: |
True but the 10 years part is only true for previous travel and visas to the UK / any other country in the last 10 years. For the problems with immigration to the UK and problems with immigration to other countries than the UK sections, the question is "have you even been refused a uk visa / any other visa, deported from the UK / any country, removed from the UK / any country, required to leave the UK / any country, refused entry at the UK border / any other country" (no time frame is specified). He will also have to detail it on his cover letter because in talking about the old passport with the wrong date of birth, he'll have to explain the background of the issue. If he had never applied for a visa before, it wouldn't even be an issue. Will update errors once my eyes are clear of sleep biko. Bourne007: |
It's a 50/50 chance. The ECO will definitely have some questions like the following; 1. How did error happen? Was it deliberate or just an oversight? 2. When you noticed the error, why didn't you rectify it? 3. Why did you go ahead to use it for the application that was refused? 4. Why did you change the date on your passport after (and not before) your previous visa application? Why didn't you just keep using it since you had already used it for your initial application? Was it because you would like to misrepresent yourself on your next application? You'd definitely be needing very satisfactory answers for these and more. Fame2me79: |
I would suggest that you address this in your application so that it doesn't come back to bite you in the a**. Get the necessary legal documents (I.e. affidavit) to affirm that there was indeed an error on your previous passport and that your original date of birth is the one you have on the new passport. If you don't address this and you're found out (since you also have to declare past refusals), it will connote a case of deliberate misrepresentation. Fame2me79: |
Dejavu31 is right. You normally need to pay your IHS to get to the BRP collection point. Docuzor: |
You're right. It's normally just after IHS payment so I'm guessing that the poster hasn't paid yet. Dejavu31: |
There's no need to get worked up on this. Duchess90 was partly right going by the info on the TLS site and it was better that she stuck to the info that she had. Youngee34: |
Do you mean that you have a different name on your previous passport which you used in applying for your refused visa or on your birth certificate? Fame2me79: |
Yes, you will need to fill in your school's Alternative Collection Location (ACL) code for your BRP collection as part of your application on UKVI site, not TLS site. This will enable you pick up your BRP from your school upon your enrolment. Are you sure you filled the right form? Docuzor: |
Then you should get a birth certificate that has their names from NPC or your LG; go along with the document that your hospital issued as evidence of your birth date and location. I know for certain that the LG certificates usually include the parents' names, place of birth, date of birth and date of birth registration, and those are the details that UKVI wants to see. liliberth: |
How do you mean? Whose names appear on your birth certificate? liliberth: |
As long as all your documents are in line with UKVI requirements and you had no issues answering the questions satisfactorily, you have nothing to worry about. In situations like this in the past, it's been 50/50 but AR fixed some of them for the refusals due to ECO errors. I'm praying for no errors to be made on your application. rs172: |
Yes. Irrespective of when your biometrics appointment is scheduled for, your statement must capture the 28-day period which must be before your application submission. You can print from the 5th of July since from July 6th to Aug 3rd is 28 days but to be on the safe side, I added an extra day. The Oanda rate for Aug 3rd was N510.179 to £1 so that's what will be used to convert your funds. TheGuyFromHR: |
The 28-day period is the period for which the money must be in your account before your application. Once you submit your application, just print the statement for the 28-day period and upload. Not being able to get an early biometrics appointment won't have a negative impact on your 28-day period statement. Gbeskey: |
You'd need to upload the marriage certificate at the point of your spouse's application as evidence of your marriage. You don't need to send it in with your application; listing his details on your application is enough. Calm054: |
Yes, after payment and appointment selection. Gbeskey: |
You'll upload the documents stated on your CAS in addition to other supporting documents like your bank statement /sponsorship letter, TB test certificate, ATAS certificate (if required), marriage certificate (if required), birth certificate (if using your parents' statement(s)) and any other documentation that supports your personal situation. You will upload all these documents by yourself if you choose the self-upload and you'll need to upload this before you attend your biometrics appointment but if you choose assisted upload, the VAC staff will scan and upload your documents for you. Gbeskey: |
If the immigration officials are not okay with your TB test certificate at the POE, you'll be checked at the airport. As long as it's valid for your visa application, you're good. If it expires before the ECO makes a decision, you might be contacted to provide a current test certificate. Ewunugaab: |
Since your sponsorship covers living expenses, you're good. Your accomodation costs fall under living expenses. The most you can pay towards your accomodation is for one month vis-a-vis the amount you have to show UKVI. You don't need to have paid for accommodation before your visa application but you need to have made arrangements or know what your options are. divco: |
Stuttering or stammering at several points (if you don't stammer normally) during the interview might impact your credibility but stammering and immediately getting over it shows that that wasn't a result of being dubious. If you stammer normally, then this will be obvious from the get-go and the interviewer will take note of this and it wouldn't affect your credibility. Confidence is key during the interview. asatin007: |
It depends on your personal situation. Do you intend to return to your current employer after your studies? Do you want to prove this? If yes, you'll need a letter from your company stating your employment details (when you joined the organisation, current remuneration, position/job level e.t.c.) and also stating that you've been granted study leave for the period you'll be in the UK studying. If you choose to include this in your application, the ECO might ask you what your expected pay and job level will be when you return to the organisation after your course. You might also be asked what value you expect from the course and how that value will be beneficial to your employer. bayosegun: |
You can get an affidavit to show that both name variants refer to you. Bodyco05: |
Are all the names on the birth certificate the same as on your passport even though they've been wrongly labelled but not misspelled? If yes, an affidavit should help. I'm not sure about the LG certificate but it should be tenable since it's a government issued document and UKVI has not explicitly stated that birth certificates must come only from the NPC. PG certificates are usually shorter than masters even though they are on the same level as masters. If you enrol on a masters program and for some reason can't complete your dissertation, the school might be able to award you a PG certificate. See the link below for a more detailed explanation on the difference: https://www.prospects.ac.uk/postgraduate-study/postgraduate-diplomas-and-certificates Most of the PG certificate courses I've seen are either part-time or for UK/EU students though based on the info in the link, international students with great English language skills can get on the program. If a school sponsors you for that, it will most likely be on a short-term study visa since its duration is typically not up to 9 months for the full-time study. I'm sure that you can get tier 4 sponsorship for PG diplomas though and I've seen schools offering this to international students. Oby200: |

please what advice can you give me in that regards.
but degree certificate and transcript were stated on it as evidence of obtaining the master's offer. Please does that mean I am only to upload these two documents with TB cert when applying for my visa? and at what point do I need to upload the bank statement?
