Refunds take about 28 days so you'll have to pay for IHS again. Flezi1: If you cancel your submitted application ,can you reapply immediately? Would i get a refund for IHS? Can I use same IHS? |

Even if the rejections are 100, they should be declared because if they are not declared and they are found out, it will be termed misrepresentation or deception. Don't ignore it, pls add it. Flezi1: Just felt it would be reflecting too much rejections.
I know i can do a cover letter to address it. Just want to know if i should proceed to add that information or if i should just ignore. for the us i included the most recent. |

What's your tuition budget? Low deposits don't mean that you won't have to show the balance in your account. Try University of Kent. I think Skymoore or someone else posted a list of such schools a while ago. Emilyklaus7: Hello friends! I am new here and in desperate need of your help. Please, does anyone know or can recommend any UK schools (for undergraduate or masters) with really low deposits. Low like below £1000. Thanks |

Check Progandy guest house. It's in Garki and about 9-15 minutes from TLS. Cab from Garki usually is about N500 depending on how well you price it. It cost about 8K as at 2018; not sure about now. If your budget is in the 15k range, try Gloriana hotel. It's also in area 2 Garki, very close to the long road that cuts through areas 1, 2, 10 down to the CBD. Taxi is roughly same cost as the above too. There are many other not so popular and not expensive guest houses whose names I can't remember now but if you search well, you'll find something within Garki and the CBD areas. PS: if you use shared cabs, the cost drops to about N100-150 but I wouldn't advice that as a result of the many one-chance stories that abound from using such. Laura123: Please I’ll be going for my interview tomorrow in Abuja; does anyone have an idea of a cheap hotel close to TLS Centre Abuja? |

Cross to the computer village area, board a bus to Maryland from there, alight at Abule Onigbagbo, cross to the other side where you have the white building (Etiebet's place). TLS is within the white building. pittoilet: Similar situation with me too.
I was rejected Canadian visa twice and I indicated it but I didn't indicate if it was once or twice.
Hope that's not false declaration too. My interview is in two days time.
Also how do I get to tls ikeja from along? |

It's better to write a cover letter to explain this instead of omitting it and hoping that it's not found out. Each refusal should be addressed. If she doesn't address the 2nd refusal, it is an omission of material fact which can be termed as misrepresentation or deception when discovered. This is because "I forgot" is not a good enough reason not to address all refusals. It's either the above or cancel the application and submit a new one. Donracy: @Mimilyrics, @Justwise, @Duchess and others.
Please I need some clarifications on an urgent matter.
I friend who applied for Tier 4 UK visa and her Interview/Biometrics is tomorrow, self service.
She was refused South Korean Visit visa last year, she was also refused Canada study visa twice in 2018.
Now the issue is, when she applied for UK visa, she declared the refusal for South Korea and one of the Canadian refusals. According to her she forgot.
By the time she remembered she had already uploaded her documents.
So I told her that not declaring that refusal even though she had declared it under the same country and visa category for one of the refusal might lead to a refusal.
Please those who knowledgeable on such issue should please give the necessary guidelines as tomorrow is her interview.
I intend to screenshot the responses I get her and forward to her.
Gracias. |

Being specific means that you've got an offer already, are sure about getting an offer in that organisation or that you're going back to your previous employer who is open to your return after your course. In the absence of that, you can be specific about the industry but not the company. You should also be aware of industry rates and/or how much you're likely to be paid after your course. asatin007: Hello house, is it okay to be specific about 1 particular company you want to work for in your career plans? |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by mimilyrics: 3:01pm On Aug 25, 2020 |
No, it won't. Since your CAS has been updated and your school has shown you proof of it for your peace of mind, you don't need to worry. UKVI has access to your CAS which is an electronic document and can confirm the amount paid using that. atoeosato: @mimilyrics, @lagosismyhome and others, pls I need you advice.
I got my CAS and the top up(additional) tuition I paid wasen't captured on the CAS. I contacted my uni about it, the uni replied that they have updated my total tuition fee paid till date on the ukvi website and they also showed me a screen shot confirmation of it, hence I can go on with my visa application. The uni declined when I try to request for additional cover note on this.I 've resolved to also upload the payment receipt on the visa application. Hope this does not have any negative impact on visa decision? |

mimilyrics: If you can get it changed, pls do. If not, include a cover letter stating the error and google search results showing that both locations are in the same state and if possible, the possibility of them being used interchangeably or how easily one can be mistaken for the other. See the above. rukkykelvin: Hello everyone @mimilyrics @Duchess90 @theguyfromhr
I am currently in the process of uploading document and i just noticed a mistake in my NPC attestation of birth.
The "place of birth" on the NPC attestation of birth is different from what is stated on my passport although they're both in the same LGA in delta state ( different communities).
Does this pose as a serious threat to my application. |

The only business the UKVI has is with your declared funds; if you add to the funds, good for you. If you withdraw from the funds and the application is refused because of that, evidence that the funds were used towards study expenses should be tendered as proof for AR. If the account is totally empty and it's somehow communicated to UKVI, then there will be an issue. Above all, it's better to err on the side of caution and ensure that the money is continually available in the account and only used towards your study aims. Qlock: If I add to the fund or withdraw a little from the account, what does that make of question 2?
Just thinking out loud.... |

A cover letter will help even though it's not an error that will count as misrepresentation or deception since you didn't overstay your visa and actually did leave within few hours of the declared date. Docuzor: @mimilyrics, @duchess90 @theguyfromhr and others.
I have a little challenge.
So I did my bachelor's in a different country. When filling my visa form, I imputed my departure date from the country as the 19th of a a particular month.
But my stamped carries 20th of same month. What happened was the flight was meant to be 19th, but due to delays and immigration procedures, we had entered a new day which was 20th when my passport was stamped.
So do I write a cover letter to explain this and upload also.
Or is it something that's negligible.
Please answer urgently |

Yes, you can write a cover letter but I can't guarantee that it will fix the issue. If you're doing self-upload, just upload it before you go, no need to take it to your appointment. To add to everything that's been said about proof of funds, keeping your money in your account basically gives you a safety net.
If your application is rejected / refused, and the money is still intact in your account, theoretically, you can apply again immediately and still meet the maintenance requirement. Practically, there might be other factors affecting whether you could apply again, but at least the maintenance funds won't be a problem.
Also, this gives you a chance at admin review incase you're asked to submit recent documentation, in addition to the previous one submitted to confirm if the money is truly available to you. And if the money has been used towards living or tuition costs, the evidence will be submitted for AR too.
Even though some information can't be disclosed or asked as a result of GDPR rules, you signing (consent for information submitted to be verified) the application form and submitting your bank statement gives UKVI the right to ask certain questions about the funds in the submitted statement to prevent immigration fraud and in as much as those questions are Yes or No questions based on what you've submitted, the right/wrong question may just reveal that the funds detailed on your account statement is truly not available to you. The line of questioning might go like this: 1. Hi, Kindly verify that this statement was issued by your bank and that all the details herein are correct. 2. Are the funds detailed on the submitted bank statement still reflected in the account or not?
Some financial evidence submitted aren't checked except it looks out of place and something is off on your application or until a refusal based on this is contested at administrative review. This is based on situations where the financial evidence was discounted and not further probed due to previous refusals on financial grounds. Please note that this is not reflective of all such situations. @Justwise pls feel free to remove this paragraph if you think that it will give people ideas. Thank you.
My advice is to ensure that the money is left as is except used to pay your study costs which you'd have proof of incase you need it for AR. |

It shouldn't be a problem. Cancelled without prejudice is often used when there's an error on a document, when it's cancelled or when there's an updated document I.e. Cancelled without prejudice is usually stamped on old passports / visas when new ones are issued. It doesn't affect your eligibility for subsequent visas. It would have been an issue if it had been cancelled with prejudice because cancelled with prejudice connotes that the visa holder has been found guilty of wrongdoing or fraudulently obtaining the visa. ajags80: Dear People,
Thank you for all you do! My interview is for later this week.
I have had three UK Visiting Visas and one USA visa. I submitted for a USA Visa renewal but they asked me to go through the interview route and not drop box, i just decided to drop the whole plan, in 2014/2015; However, The consular stamped " Cancelled without Prejudice" across my already expired 2 year visa of 2011.
Do I need to upload this USA Visa page? To avoid complicated questions? I want to be sure it is not a problem.
Regards. |

Not in health but I've got a few peeps in the health sector. My answer is more in the line of dduchess90 's response. Since OSPAP is just about converting overseas pharmacists to UK ones, it does not impact your career much (but the ECO doesn't necessarily know this since impact on career is relative) other than enabling you to work in the UK so your answer has to be strategic. Find a way to weave your professional aspirations into your answer. gracedforever: Yes. Ospap is my course. And after the one year masters/Ospap, we'll get to do the preregistration training after which we'll write the Gphc licensing examination. @mimilyrics are you a health professional? Don't get yourself worried. There's no rule against your wife being the source of your funds though you might be asked about how much she earns monthly so ensure that your answer doesn't negate her capacity to have being able to give you the funds. As long as your funds have been held in the prescribed manner, it's okay. Your answers and performance at your interview is the basis of ascertaining your genuineness as a student; in essence, this is your knowledge of your course, why you chose it, modules, accomodation/transportation info because these show that you've done your homework. Changing from dependant visa to Tier 2 visa is perfectly legal and is not a reason for rejecting applications as long as you meet all the T4 requirements and handle your interview with finesse. Meddyakki: Hi everyone
I am scared that Visa might be rejected because
If I am asked about my source of maintenance fund, I would mention my wife and that she is a medical doctor
I am thinking the ECO might claim I am not a genuine student because my wife can easily change her dependant visa to Tier 2 work Visa.
What can I do please?
Thanks in advance |
