Johntemmy: How much you trust your wife/husband? How much do you trust your Girlfriend/Boyfriend? How much do you trust your fiance/fiancee?
reason behind my question..I have a friend he normally use this words "ti n ba wanile, ni iyawo mi n je iyawo mi, sugbon ti mi o ba ti si ni Ile, mi o mo n kan to oun se leyin mi...fun idi eyi iyawo gbogbo aye ni ayafi ti n bati wa Nile nikan lohun je iyawo mi". means is only when am at home that my wife is belongs to me but immidiately I step out means she belongs to public. my friend is a Traveller from one state to another and his wife an hair dresser..always busy with customers day and night. now does it mean my friend didn't trust his wife? Also do you trust your partner Your friend being a traveller, does his wife trust him? |

Ejenavi18: In psychology, this is known as Oedipus complex. It was explicitly discussed by Sigmund Freud in his theory of psychosexual development. I'll suggest you read up the theory online for a clearer understanding of this topic.
"When the Oedipus complex is not successfully resolved during the phallic stage, an unhealthy fixation can develop and remain. This leads to boys becoming fixated on their mothers and girls becoming fixated on their fathers, causing them to choose romantic partners that resemble their opposite-sex parent as adults." The Children Protection Department, if the state where it happened has one should have the prophet and the boy's parents arrested and prosecuted. Sadly, it is not to the boy's wellbeing to be placed back with his biological family as he is better off in a well managed children' home. Most of such prophets are schizophrenic rather that treat it for the mental illness that it is, the symptoms such as hearing of voices, hallucinations, religious delusion etc are erroneously termed as spiritual gifts! |

He is not an abused child but somehow I feel like (God forgive me) he might be impaired or something that is why I mentioned psychologists in my greetings. I pray I'm wrong. From your first post, I am sensing a neuro-developmental issue that needs early intervention but may also not be it. Just to be on the safer side, let the family seek the professional service of a clinical child psychologist for assessment (where behavioural, cognitive and intellectual testing will be conducted) and treatment. Do read up on Disruptive mood dysregulation disorder (DMDD). |

If you sincerely think so, please I'd like you to succinctly share (summarily) post it here. Thanks. You know your financial reality, still you and your husband choose to cast in stone, the plan to host 15 persons with funds you hope to raise from strangers. You don't want your people to know about your situation, what are family and friends for if it is not for good times and rough times? |

mariahAngel: You couldn't think of a better topic to create than one that belittles the sacrifices fathers make for their families. It reminds me of one of my undergraduate courses, Family Psychology where one of the topics we treated was unfinished business with fathers. There is nothing belittling about the topic, it is something worthy of conversation because honouring one's father doesn't mean doing exactly what he did. |

If you want your children to be actively involved in your life tomorrow, be actively. involved in theirs today. Beyond financial provisions, kids yearn for fathers with whom they can establish emotional security.
We have widows in our midst who have become sole providers, having to go out on a daily basis to hustle for their children' welfare but still create a balance that is making them bond with their children, have a listening ear, celebrate their little victories etc Fathers who also offers such alongside financial provisions, are more likely to have adult children who hold them dear to their hearts.
Being an involved father is the greatest gift one can give his child/children alongside financial provisions |

passion Tier 2 Tier 2 or not, passion also counts. Like I went back to school to do another degree (Counselling Psychology) from accounting background and I tell you, it was gruelling as a good number of classmates dropped along the way but passion pushed me through. Even for the Social work if the passion is not there, one will always feel drained as I work hand in hand with psychiatric social workers on a daily basis as part of a multidisciplinary team. " She want me facing her and holding her, or herself put her head on my chest. I'm not a romantic fellow and don't want to be. I'm a serious and ethical being. I do not move by mere romantic behavior but by being realist and doing the right thing. if your mind is pure and clean you will be least concerned by things the other people do or live their lives". .......This is a clear case of intellectualization, which is a form of defense mechanism in psychology. |
