You are correct. Nigerians are greedy. We are our problem. I do wonder what is the fate of this county given our selfish nature. An average Nigerian, be it a trader or whoever is as wicked as our politicians. Few minuted to this thread, I called a relative who do buying and selling of poultry. She told me she's been on the way in search of poultry to buy. That it's not getting funny. That the one they sold about N1,500 a month ago now goes for minimum of N2,500 on abeg abeg.

Nigerians are greedy. With the closure of boarders, the farmers will raise price and create artificial scarcity to achieve their selfish aims.

I visited the Church in Kubwa, Abuja with my Wife cos we wanted to see the Pastor. We were visited on a Sunday, only to be told that if we must see the Pastor, we must check into the Church-owned Hotel on a Friday and the man of God would see us on Monday morning in our Hotel room. That sounded weird and fishy. We asked how much that would cost and we were told it was 250k. 200k for the Hotel room and feeding and then 50k for the pool of Bethesda. 250k to see Pastor? we had to bounce. No be Life and Death matter. I don't know if anyone has ever gotten their healing there.

I used to be a conc member of this church before, I would leave my house every Sunday by 5:30/ 6:00am and by coming back at 8:00am at night,all in the name of church.

I was looking for where you will state or mention where gambling is written in the bible but none I guess.....is casting lot the same as gamnling or betting as you may say?

I am a Catholic and according to the Catholic encyclopedia, gambling is allowed as long as neither of both persons involve i.e the staker and the betting company does not predetermine or know the outcome of the bet.
Back to your main point, on a personal note, betting has never made me lazy or greedy....i bet responsively. From sept 2, 2011 i started online betting with nairabet and now sportybet, i have achieved alot....my losing streak is just 3%....
am an entrepreneur, the funds i used in establishing my business, building a house in Portharcourt and establishing most family and friends comes from winnings in betting....my dear, God can bless one in anyway he chooses....Though God is not evil but if you say betting is evil, he can allow a little evil to take place for a greater Good!

In the same vein, for your record, I wasn't lucky. I worked hard and earned desirable grade in all the courses I took from my BSc to PhD. Lest I forget to educate you given your stupidity that I went through private Universities, keep deceiving yourself possibly because you went through a mushroom or Agbowo University or Polytechnic. I am a product of two notable and prestigious Universities in Nigeria - University of Nigeria and University of Ibadan.

My friend, there's no rationality in the poo that you spit out. As an academic, I can authoritative tell you that all through my level of education to PhD, I have never given any lecturer a dime. And none have ever asked me. In the midst of that, my PhD supervisor "spoilt" me with hundreds of thousands of naira.

Let me shock you a little. There was a time I was looking for lectureship position. Two good friends of mine called and told me to do what they termed the "needful" to be employed at IMSU and two Federal universities. My respond to them was if I have never given any lecturer N1 to passed a course, why should I pay as much as N1 million to stand before students? What's the dignity? Who's to pay for the money? I don't subscribed to it in as much as I wouldn't want to push the burden to the end users (students).

For your record, the student acted accordingly. And like I said, let Ordinary president be notify of his case, you will see table falling down in Fed Poly, Bida.

Where BSc are allowed to lecture students and many of them climb the rung of their career with such requisite degree as is the case in Nigerian polytechnics, one is bound to hear such atrocities.
