Christianity Etc › Re: What Exactly Is The Devil's Role In Hell? by mmsen: 8:33am On Jan 08, 2014
cryptic99: You can't get logical responses from questions like these without taking care of a lot of premises - the existence of God, devil and hellfire and which religion is right about them.

If you're talking about the christian version then you're on a long thing because it's not made clear in the bible the role of the devil in hell so all you may get from people are conflicting views.
It's not a question of you 'may' get conflicting views. You will definitely get conflicting views.

One of the many issues that really undermines xtian doctrine is their own inability to come to a consensus about their lies.
Christianity Etc › Re: Are There Any Atheists Here Who Oppose Gay Marriage? by mmsen:
Does this question extend to agnostics?

If so then I find the notion of same-sex marriage an odd one. In the countries where homosexuals have been pushing for such legislation marriages tend not to last more than 5 years, which is the length of your typical relationship.

I am convinced that the same-sex marriage issue is a distraction ploy, not a serious matter. Rather than focus their energy on resolving deep seated problems with the economy or corporate accountability the electorate in western nations are agonizing over two men (or two women) who want to plan a wedding.
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Men Of God Have Bodyguards? by mmsen: 5:24am On Jan 08, 2014
If their god is so wonderful and they have so much faith in his power and ability to protect then why would they need human bodyguards?

Seems like another example of religious leaders preaching one thing and doing another.
Christianity Etc › Re: Mankind And God. by mmsen: 7:13pm On Jan 06, 2014
Man made god out of ignorance and fear.

If god made man then why he leave the majority of the world's populace in poverty and squalor?
Christianity Etc › Re: Do You Know That Guys That Masturbate Are Murderers? by mmsen: 3:21pm On Jan 06, 2014
As a teenager I slaughtered more human beings than Hitler, Stalin and George W. Bush combined...

Also, if she swallows you, has she murdered your seeds?

What if she refuses to swallow? Is that better or worse? Who has committed the crime, if any?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Religion The Root Of All Evil? by mmsen: 4:16pm On Jan 05, 2014
OLAADEGBU: You have not answered the question: Is religion the root of all evil as the skeptics insist?
If I answer that 'Power is the root of all evil' then that would negate your claim that 'religion' is the root of all evil.

Religion is a wonderful tool used to keep the sheep in line.

Sheep are meant to be slaughtered.
Christianity Etc › Re: If Death Is Real Then God Is Real by mmsen: 4:11pm On Jan 05, 2014
macof: You should really stop affiliating Paganism with Satanism.
We have nothing in common, pagans don't believe in an evil being- except the acts of men can be referred to as 'being'

Btw did you shout "Hail Zeus" today?
He didn't shout 'Hail Zeus' but he would have shouted 'Amen' without understanding the origin of the word. Or why it became the fashion to do so.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Gambling A Sin? by mmsen: 4:05pm On Jan 05, 2014
Choosing a religion is a gamble in itself.

Alfa Seltzer: I can't. doG chooses which rewards it wishes to give. Who are we to question it?
More xtian vagueness.

Thank you.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Does God Need My 500 Naira? by mmsen(op): 3:58pm On Jan 05, 2014
Alfa Seltzer: if you don't sow seads, plants wont grow.
if you don't buy lottery ticket, you won't win.
if you don't deposit capital, you won't get interests.
if you don't pay god, you won't get rewards.
to those who have, more will be given - (that's god)
to those who do not have, even the little they have shall be taken away from them. (that's you)
Please be precise about these 'rewards' that you speak of.

Ukeachu1: when u love someone. u can give ur all to that person even when u seemingly have notin. love God first and ull understand God more sir.
but if anyman love not God he is accursed.
What you have suggested is like asking a baby to feed its mother.

Surely if god loves me and has all then he should give?

Alfa Seltzer: have you asked your garden why you need to sow seeds before it can grow plants?
I don't follow.

Even when you put the evidence in front of them xtians will close their eyes.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Oral Sexx a Sin Before God? by mmsen: 3:41pm On Jan 05, 2014
When done properly it is sinful because xtian doctrine is in large part about monopolizing happiness and expression.
Christianity Etc › Why Does God Need My 500 Naira? by mmsen(op):
Why does the all-knowing, all-seeing maker of heaven and earth. The one who predestined everything - including my refusal to bow to xtian or islamic doctrine (as well as every atrocity ever committed) - need my 500 naira?

What if I need to recharge my phone? Does the one with everything take what little I have and leave me with nothing?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Religion The Root Of All Evil? by mmsen: 6:35am On Jan 01, 2014
Religion is a tool used to grasp power.

Power is the root of evil.
Christianity Etc › Re: Where Did Cain Get His Wife? by mmsen: 6:32am On Jan 01, 2014
He had relations with his mother.

Otherwise the Bible is a lie or incomplete.
Christianity Etc › Re: Islam And Christianity Should Be Kicked Out Of Africa by mmsen: 6:54pm On Dec 31, 2013
Why do so many of you idiots keep making this claim about the sacrificing of twins. That only happened in a very small area of what is now called Nigeria.

The Yoruba, the people of modern day Edo state and most likely many other groups venerated twins.
Christianity Etc › Re: Redeem Church Is Driving Me Crazy by mmsen:
These churches are incredibly inconsiderate to their neighbours. I was curious about the one nearest me and found that they have speakers outside the building. What happened to love thy neighbour? Love your brother as you love yourself has no joined the list of ignored doctrine such as the prohibition of usury?
Christianity Etc › Re: . by mmsen: 2:08pm On Dec 29, 2013
It isn't possible for 'all religions to be true'. They may have some similarities such as a need to control the herd but in order to control the herd you need to stress your exclusive elements. Which is why we have different denominations of xtians - if all xtians submitted to the authority of the pope there would only be one xtian church.
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Nigerians Get Angry When You Tell Them You Do Not Believe In God?. by mmsen: 1:41pm On Dec 29, 2013
I've found that there are a number of very odd beliefs amongst Nigerians that they will happily bring to the fore - such as a belief in witches and withcraft.

That's not to say that other nationalities don't hold peculiar beliefs but because of the Nigerian need to be overly brazen and needlessly loud it comes across as even more foolish.

The other thing I would add as pertaining religion (Christianity in particular) and Nigerians is that if you were to look at what Nigerians believed prior to the incursion of European missionaries and what they claim to believe today not a great deal has changed. They simply replaced the myths of one backwards peoples for another.
Christianity Etc › Re: And Mum Went Ballistic On Me For Not Going To Church by mmsen: 1:32pm On Dec 29, 2013
Sometimes you have to accept that those around you are misguided and plot your own path. Don't worry about your mother's anger, she has positioned herself as a sheep and sheep are meant to be slaughtered.

Christianity Etc › Does Religion Help To Mask Mental Illness In Nigeria? by mmsen(op): 9:10pm On Dec 08, 2013
I became curious as to this question last night when a relation suggested that she call me at midnight because she wanted to 'pray'. Knowing full well that I like to be in bed by 10 pm. This relation has a crumbling marriage and a son who is going out of control but rather than seek practical assistance her response is to spend more time screaming at the sky.

Her reason for wanting to 'pray' at midnight when I asked her was that, according to her, 'The Enemy' is most active between the hours of 12 - 3 am.

If I were to spend my free time shouting and wailing at the atmosphere calling out for Bin Laden to return to earth I would be considered a nutcase but people who call out 'Jesus' are sane? What gives...

A question for those of you able to exercise free thought - How do you keep the nutjobs at bay, relatives included?
Family › Re: Nigeria’s Street Kids: Unprotected And Hopeless by mmsen: 2:24pm On Nov 28, 2013
I have noticed two distinct groups of street children in Calabar.

The first group is made up of those who have been declared 'witches' by their ignorant parents.

The second group are a Arab looking. A local restaurant worker told me that he thinks that they come from Niger (Republic).

There aren't a lot of them in total - maybe 20.
Christianity Etc › Re: Modern Day Christianity Minus Money = ???? by mmsen:
It is not just 'modern day Christianity' it has always been this way. That is why the Vatican has so much money. Without the ability to guilt the sheep into giving up their hard earned money they would not be able to send others out into the field to attract more sheep. Nor would their leaders be able to live the manner that they have become accustomed to.

Travel › What Is The Cost Of A New (1st Issue) Nigerian E-passport? by mmsen(op): 3:01pm On Nov 10, 2013
Just curious to find out how much it cost you all.

I'm sure there will be differences in price depending on where you are.

This includes those of you outside of Nigeria.

I was told, a few years back, that a 1st issue Nigerian passport would cost around 9,000 naira.

So in short - what is the cost of a Nigerian passport where you are?

Thanks.

banega: Rubbish. Hungry gurl. People who don't love your people can never love yuh.. I guess this is the new trend for yoruba men now.. To marry igbo women.. They just hate der own women.. Lol. If this goes on i just wonda who will marry the yoruba women they are leaving behind.. Smh!
I will happily marry the Yoruba women that are left behind.

Good women do not (usually) struggle to attract a suitable mate regardless of ethnic background.

Anyway why can't we all just be 'Nigerians'?
