This news reminds me of Wole Soyinka's "Wages of Impunity." Why is ceasefire and hostage release negotiation coming at a time that we are close to elections already? . Mehn, I don begin look PDP one kain eye fa! I taya for dis country sef! |
Havilah93:I am tired of that"Baby Don't Fall My Hand" track already! Cool though! * This "I'm Taken" is one sick and tight gangster in rhythm kinda song!! I love it! |
Chiefpriest1:See how extremely sensible you just sounded! |
KLINEE, wol'odudu! Oma Igala omi onugo che! Uwe d'Anambra? Ich'ane Igala e de, oma abo ugbo e che? * Can you imagine that part of the post: "I did not know that Igalas are in the state." What insensitivity! * I don't blame the Anambra government, I blame our people here in Kogi ruling us who have chosen to perpetually stagnate the state! * However, let's see how the proposed Iran car manufacturing company's establishment in the state will go! |
Here is what I keep telling girls who think they are flexing life and jumping from one d*ck to another! * If you allow that thing become loose or get it slacked and your prospective husband wants to sample, chances are that he will change his mind towards marrying you! * If he doesn't but finds out in marriage, infidelity and/or divorce will pop up! |
mayo47:Damn! I love that Nollywood classic! So so real! I'm still looking for that movie! * Tell you what! Inasmuch as my siblings loved it, they always dreaded her ghost appearance that they cut its C.D plate and threw them away! * They admitted after we looked for the movie in the house! At first, we all thought one of us may have borrowed it out and forgotten! * But earlier this year, the truth was revealed by Esther! Hahahaha! That movie rings bell in our house! |
"THE RICHES" The unemployed graduate will learn a lot from this classic! * And since we are talking about Nollywood movies, I've never felt a Nollywood movie so real (even though film-tricked) like a particular scene in "Red Mafians" * Wakidi's cult assistant (that dude always saying "basketball no be dwarf game" and another fellow cult member killing a student, kicking him down repeatedly if he tries to stand, asking him to pull off his shirt in a remote area before macheting him to death face up on the ground!* Is it just me who sees that scene like a real life experience or something? I wouldn't like re-watching the scene at all! Too well-crafted by the makers of that movie! * Nigeria has a bunch of dope-brained directors: Teco Benson, Simi Opeoluwa, etc! Heard that Teco's famous "Broad Daylight" was banned by the federal government for that unprecedented technique of attacking a cash-carrying-convoy along a road in uninhabited area by unfolding a tapoline connected to ropes on each end and held in the side bushes by the attackers before unfolding it and coming out to attack as expressed in the movie! * BTW, what's up with Teco Benson? Where is that son of a gun? * THE GAME (although Ghanaian) is one hell of a movie too! I still watch that subliminal movie up till now! It remains an eternally phenomenal work put out there by Ghana's very own Frank Rajah! * Even though THE GAME is rumoured to have been a copied Bollywood film, mehn, I see "the peak of human intelligence" written all over that movie! * A friend Lilian knows every line of that movie! |

KiddaBlingzz:And what happens to the compatibility study of each other which should run over a period of time? * For me, we must spend years studying each other! No one is perfect but there are certain traits which one can tolerate and others which one can't tolerate! * The exact time-frame cannot be fixed! Meanwhile, I will advise a thorough study of each other! |
Guys, if you are a virgin, keep it and make sure you are able to satisfy your wife in your marriage when married! If you are not a virgin, pls fucck SAFE (although still not a guarantee)! Some guys would rather self-service than to risk contracting an STD! For God's sake, you have a future which you are currently building, don't let your life get cut short by an STD! * I pity promiscuous ladies! If you get that thing loosed and slacked, your future husband who might want to sample before marriage, will change his mind! If he doesn't sample but finds out in marriage, divorce and/or infidelity pops up! |
lawrenceunaa:Whatever happened to running a number of tests (HIV/AIDS, fertility, etc) before marriage! * ". . . you only get it as poo." I just learnt a new one to that phrase! |
Unarguably, Phyno has established himself as a top-notch and formidable rapper in the Nigerian music industry! I don't understand his Igbo lyrics (except when interpreted to me) but I love the rhythm which comes with it! The dude is one of my top favourite artists! * To me, his newly released "Oringo" is a classic! Always on repeat! * "We keep it hundred haaannn?" Happy birthday to the man reping the Igbos (a tribe I so much love) to the fullest! |

This lady is the ideal definition of an independent woman in contrast to majority of other of her fellow ladies who solely depend on a man as extensively talked on on an earlier Nairaland topic! * And what's up with the Nairaland-LinkaIkejiBlog comparison and/or beef? For internet sake, they are different from each other, with each holding it down and keeping it 100 in its own area! A BLOG differs from a FORUM! |
Inasmuch as I look forward to a sublime rendition from these 2 dope cats, let it not be a let down O! More so, pls can we have a theme different from the usual girl's nyash, 2much money, swag, sex, diss, ego themes? Asha's themes are mindblowing! A track in her new album talking about moving on for rape and molestation victims, etc can't but let you appreciate meaningful and impact-oriented music! Another song "AM I WRONG trying to be the best that I can be . . ." (artist name I can't remember) gets me obsessed for its line-by-line inspiration! DAMN! |
Vikky014:Behind the autocorrect or jannjaweed? |
lastpage:Quite insightful! Thanks! Dis your Nairaland chieftancy title no be here O! |
Vikky014:Oops! My "jajaweed" in my previous post was changed to "supporter of APC." Like I sought to know, how was that term coined? Maybe dem go even change am again. I mean "jajaweed." What is the idea behind bringing the "weed" to join "jaja" or "janja" to make "jajaweed"? I know it stands for a supporter of APC but how was it coined? |

Vikky014:I belong to that category of Nigerians who do not even vote! Yeah, my political apathy is extreme like that! |
Vikky014:Hahahahahahahahaha! Vicky or "Vicky E." like I call a namesake of yours that I know! For your information, I am politically neutral! I commend and/or condemn anything whether APC, PDP, AG, APP related, depending on my own perspective. Nigerian politics is not worth my time and too much attention. However, you just signaled to me that you are a PDP loyalist! By the way, I've been curious on the idea behind the phrase "supporter of APC" and how it was coined! It sounds hilarious whenever I hear it or see it! #LOLZ |
Vikky014:As for blaming him if BH boys invade (which I do not think was an advice like you said), he can only do his best to avoid their entry into Lagos! For me, I still won't blame him if he fails while at it! If the federal government is unable to solve the country's problem of porous borders in the first place, how far-reaching do you expect a mere state's actions to avoid their movement within the country? |
Vikky014:Which advice? I didn't see any! |
Vikky014:Lagosians had better start taking the claims by T.B Joshua that Boko Haram attacked his guest-house serious instead of bashing him and dismissing his claims! THE LINKS ¤ 9/12 * ¤ 9/11 (Al-Qaeda) ¤ Terrorist organizations' allegiance to mother Al-Qaeda vis-a-vis that remarkable date. |
Vikky014:Not Lagos only O! If hell is let loose come 2015 with BH blending their thing into the forthcoming elections anywhere and everywhere (as the elections may not be conducted in places in the north where they are), then, people will know that their 400, 300 figures that we have been seeing in news are just a little number of their total number! |
To me, this is a very serious issue! I actually forced my parents to put me into the university in contrast to their entrepreneurship inclinations for me! I am quite proficient in graphics, super fast & minimal-errors-oriented computer typing and I also wield a vast knowledge of Word editing features and commands all after acquiring ICT knowledge immediately after secondary school to have followed their entrepreneurship goals in the computer field or elsewhere like they opined! No pride meant - I am a formidable personality in those areas both around my neighbourhood and elsewhere! I've worked in different places where I've left marks! My typing speed earned me the nickname "Speed" at a certain place! I have printed 99 WPM Mavis Beacon typing score report as proof of that immense typing might which I wield! But I was/am bent on schooling (for a white collar job's purpose of course). Although I regret sometimes for a basic N70,000 cost for my Diploma programme first before my currently running cost for my Degree programme too which they footed/are still footing all for some white collar job which is not a guaranteed thing afterall. I just watched a Nollywood classic "The Riches" (who says Nollywood is replete with whack and lousy movies) - Majid Michael unemployed and indirectly forced by Nkem Owoh into ritual wealth to be enjoyed for 5yrs only. He died on his last day on his sick-bed while being offered a won contract he had sought for long when he was poor and wretched. I feel remorse for the financial exertions I am putting my parents through (no be say e dey too hard them). Anyhow sha, that is life! Some parents spend thousands of naira in hospital to make a child stay alive but such child still eventually dies, etc! The packaging and swag concepts as highlighted by the OP are good points! I may still get employed afterall! Schooling gives that white collar job provision alternative to self-employment which like the OP said, can be spiced up with your educated head's blend in it, setting it apart from the usual! |
A larger chunk of the commendations to be alloted to Babatunde Fashola! I am simply obsessed with this man! I'm not a Lagosian but I can categorically tell y'all that he is the ideal model of an excellently performing governor! However, one area I look forward to him for is Lagos' traffic palaver! |
micolaj:Oboy, I Bench You For Biro Borrowing!!! |
Yujin:Nigeria has hitherto experienced pre, during and post election violence! The new terrorism aspect places Nigeria on the precipice if nothing drastic is done and it (terrorism) blends into the forthcoming elections! A significant percentage of the Hausas & Muslims generally are morally senseless and are bereft of knowledge of the sanctity of a human's life (if you bash me or ban me as an MOD for the aforementioned remarks, YOU WILL RUN MAD!). I was in Kano during the last general elections where an INEC-serving female corper official was cut into two halves by her waist as a gift to the Christians. A religion whose pioneer (Dan Fodio for Nigeria) and perhaps pioneers elsewhere set the jihad-against-government example for followers, what do you expect if not contemporary terrorism which is purely religious with politics undertone! Yeah right, the Koran may vehemently condemn these acts of intolerance with some practisers of the religion strictly adhering to its tenets, however, others will tow the line of jihad against government as already set as example to either be followed or not, thereby wasting innocent lives and commiting heinous crimes against humanity and meting these on the governed since they (the governed) are under the hated regime to discredit it in the long run! As a Kogite, if hell is let loose come 2015, the state stands vulnerable as we have been hearing mixed reports of B.H presence or not from time to time |
Whenever I see the figures of these B.H, I'm like "are these guys a representation of the phrase 'we don't die, we multiply'? My earnest prayer and request remains an averted circumstance of them being on the loose to go on rampage in the forthcoming elections anywhere and everywhere! |

[@jpphilips] I've been stalking you! The immense power of insightful analysis & oratory might that you wield, fascinates me! I've been a guest on this forum, I joined as member just recently. You bear the same name with a graduate-assistant lecturer of mine (a great intellect walking the surface of the earth) in History and Int'l Studies department of Kogi State University, Anyigba! Are you the one? |
and another fellow cult member killing a student, kicking him down repeatedly if he tries to stand, asking him to pull off his shirt in a remote area before macheting him to death face up on the ground!
