Ladyhippolyta88: I wonder why this was posted in crime sectionI am sure if the reverse was the case you would applaud the man and call the lady all sort of disrespectful names.Double standard mentality is not good. Now it is the lady you are believing she would end up in shiloh. You claim to be a christian yet you support infidelity on the part of men in a relationship or marriage. Not every lady would manage a second hand for a husband.A failed relationship would always be better than a failed marriage. It is not every man that is a community joystick like the ones you know do not worry her Mr right would come. She would wait for him in her own house not her parents. she did the right thing. At least to call off the wedding |

Saff: Lol trust me that they won’t answer your question, Only one has, and his list was full of nonsense. Anyone can ask this question. You must have heard guys ask this question too. I have asked this question myself about what a certain woman or women in general have to offer. The problem with this question is that: (1) What one party bring to the table might not be of value to the other party. (2) The question attempts to generalise rather than asking what Mr. A or Miss. B brings to the table (3) This question is almost always asked from a position of selfishness and pride. |

Colourich: I'm not a feminist, but don't tell ladies how to direct their home, maybe if you are busy with your home, you won't have time to nag about other ladies home, what worked for you might not work for them, also some men don't like taking charge. indeed it is not her or societies business how adults decide to manage their home |
Celebrities › Re: Dolapo Badmus Tells Feminists: 'Allow Your Husband To Take Charge Of The Home' by monex(m): 2:36pm On Nov 16, 2018 |
backnbeta: Actually, when you train your boy child to be a responsible man, he subsequently becomes a responsible husband and father, same goes for a well trained girl child. Imagine a society where the men are trained to play the role of good husbands and the women are trained to be good wives...
Nature has bestowed the role of family head on the men, and that of home keeper on the women...nobody is dragging that. We just hope as the women continue to respect and honor them, the men pay back with love and kindness. while there are many definitions of feminism, the mainstream definition of feminism is against socially-constructed gender roles. In other words: (1) Training your daughter to be a good wife is not mainstream feminism. (2) the notion of nature bestowing family head and home keeper on men and women respectively is the anti-thesis of mainstream feminism |

I think the risk posed by the hijab has been exaggerated. It is only a head/neck/shoulder covering. |

How can you slap Someone for verbally abusing you? She could have sued the policeman for his uncouth manner towards her.
I sincerely hope if it were the policeman who hit the lady for verbally abusing him, you guys would still support him.
Stupid hypocrites indeed! Zero violence means zero violence. If you allow violence based on verbal provocations then you might realise that a lot of men who beat their wives use the same excuse of verbal provocation |

epelumi42: Of course. I still think the subject of cooking and house chores should be the least of concerns. Seriously, if your wife comes home late and you arrive early, what's stopping you from cooking for her. We tend to make a mountain from unnecessary molehills.
Who even made cooking a Feminine role in the first place? Who said men can't be better cooks? so your first sentence agrees there are feminists who would disagree with you which validates my point about the varying definitions. on your second point, note that expecting his wife to cook does not: (1) take away her power of choice (2) preclude him from assisting her or from even being the sole cook expecting his would-be-wife to cook is what it is: an expectation. |

Romance › Re: 10 Pictures You Can Relate To If You've Ever Dated A Feminist by monex(m): 10:54pm On Oct 15, 2018 |
epelumi42: Cooking should be the least thing couples argue about. Truth is that the society made our mothers, sisters, and women cooks and our fathers, man of the parlor. No. When we were bachelors, we cooked, and that debate shouldn't start after marriage except you're marrying an househelp. You should lend an assisting hand. Be together in the kitchen. Teach your male children to help out in the kitchen. Everyone should learn basic survival skills -- culinary skills especially.
If you get home early before your wife, what's stopping you from preparing dinner? It's all about love. I love my wife enough to ensure she's not hungry. To pamper her. To satisfy her and make her happy. Will she be lazy because of that? No. She'd learn to appreciate and give her best too, which is what you'd expect from a wise woman. you do realize you are yet to answer my question sha? Your post is off the point of the context of my earlier post. |

Family › Re: "Equal Pay For Women"... Really?? by monex(m): 10:20am On Oct 15, 2018 |
trustyshoess: I know the difference and I was in fact talking about the gender pay gap. Gender discrimination in employment is one of the causes of the gender pay gap the discrimination is the one that should be fought. You don't try to control outcomes, you focus on the causative factors. Some of the causative factors are individual choices and should be respected. However, where a causative factor borders on discrimination or denying one an opportunity due to gender then it is something we should all fight for. I have seen organisations trying to control outcomes. e.g. accelerating a female's career growth, sometimes outside her competence or will, and it backfired. on the average, Northerners earn far less than southerners in Nigeria. Is this the problem? No. What is the problem? Northerners do not have access to the same quality education as southerners. |

Romance › Re: 10 Pictures You Can Relate To If You've Ever Dated A Feminist by monex(m): 8:16pm On Oct 14, 2018 |
epelumi42: I feel offended by this post and here is why:
Many Nigerian ladies don't understand the concept of feminism and that's fine. A plus for your post, but the fact that you chose to create a stereotype is crazy.
feminism does not indicate men-hating, it means giving women equal chances and opportunities as men. That women should not be assigned tasks just because they are women and men should not think they are superior because they are men. Feminism tries to remove the concept of man's world.
It is evident that many men here are threatened by the idea of having women who believe in gender equality. Feminism is about empowering women, not making them subjects. But does that mean you can't spend on a woman? So because a woman wants gender equality, you shouldn't help her out? That's basically what lovers should do for each other. They don't do it because they think they are superior to each other, but that they love each other.
This post is practically insinuating that feminism is nonsense and judging by the way people responded here, many men are threatened by the idea of women not submitting to their wills. jeez... feminism is conflicting both in definition and practice. I have heard many definitions of feminism myself. And I am sure if you define feminism, There would be those feminists that would disagree with your definition. For instance I can ask: Can I be a feminist and expect that the woman I marry will be responsible (or at least accountable) for cooking? |

I am in no support of the guy, but common, dont just say He took bribe with this kind of video. As far as I am concerned, their is nothing incriminating about this. Most of these Governors move about with a lot of cash, so what is so special about it. I was thinking I will hear audio with matching lip movement. Really? You are also blaming the opposition here? Opposition pushed him to take bribe? What happened to the fight against corruption your lord Bubu is fighting? I guess APC members are shielded. (1) he said opponents so it could be opponents in APC (2) saying opponents are responsible doesnt mean they have done wrong in exposing the governor so the word blame is misplaced |
