Your husband is matured. I can see cause his trust in you have kept your marriage intact! No be all these babish boys/immatured husband easily influenced.
That is how it should be, me and my spouse then family which naturally should have their own place.
All the best! can you marry an actor and allow your husband kiss and makeout in movies? if yes then great. remember not everyone has the liver and security you have. So stop calling them babyish. if no then you are equally babyish and immature |

Braggante: Well said. We all keep attacking eachother: afonja, IPOB...and forget that while we are not united, nothing can be achieved and those who keep us in poverty are banking on and enjoying our disunity. Do we see any disunity in the National Assembly and co? Politicians are united in enriching themselves regardless of religious or tribal differences.
Underpriviledged Ibos and Yorubas having at it at every opportunity (especially on Nairaland) jeopardizes the chances of speaking with one voice against the common enemy: The privileged corrupt politicians. There should always be a cause to seize fire, to identify who the true enemies are.
Also please don't underestimate the power and influence of Nairaland e-wars. I had a friend. She is Yoruba. Very good friend and very educated. We were so close and despite not having any amorous relationship, we were like lovers. I introduced her to Nairaland and sometime later i found she was almost addicted to Nairaland. She would always make references to topics and posts on here, during our conversations. Not long ago she started misbehaving towards me and her comments reflected what she reads here. she used the term 'Phlat-head' to insult a man in my presence. To cut the long story short we are no more friends, for some silly reasons which would've been patched up easily. What I'm saying is, tribal e-wars creep into our subconscious and we act it out in real life. Ibos and Yorubas can be best partners in growth and economic advancement, we can use the synergy to be great as a people. (As can be seen from marriages of Ibo and Yoruba couples).
In summary we need to unite in the south, else our Northern landlords will keep us in perpetual servitude. everything was fine until your summary line. indeed, this tribal e-wars translate to real life |

Fresca: Yes oo, I concur. She's doing the right thing, who said men shouldn't cook for their wives? more mothers should encourage this so that their sons will grow up to be independent and not have that local mentality of "women belong in the kitchen" I blame buhari for this... for a lot of men, it is not about not being able to cook but about whose responsibility is cooking. In Africa, cooking & home management are culturally the job of the wife. i cant cook for instance but i order my soups and make my rice, and swallows. I have lived like that for many years in contentment. I could actually continue (and prefer) to live like that after marriage but the culture will stare you in the face after marriage. in fact it could even be your wife not being comfortable with you ordering your soups and making eba for both of you. in summary, this local mentality is an Afican cultural thing and not Buhari's fault. |

Only when you answer these questions, can you favourably put forward your objection. even at that, he is not doing a marriage in the church sef. Only a thanksgiving. Divorced and remarried couples are not barred from thanksgiving. only from sacraments. Recently the Pope said it is the bishop's pre-rogatve to administer sacraments to them. |

seunmsg: Don't get it twisted at all, the day Biafra secedes legally, all Igbos living in any part of Nigeria will be doing so illegally. Government may round up all of them and throw them into prison or dump them at the Onitsha bridge depending on how the break up occurred. Nigeria's breakup will either be violent or on very hostile terms if violence is not involved. You people will be entitled to absolutely nothing once you succeed in breaking up the country. I will advice you all start selling your belongings now and relocate the ones that can be relocated to the east before it is too late. Igbos will not be allowed to own a pin in Nigeria once Biafra secedes. You cannot eat your cake and still have it. you do realise that there are igbos who will not denounce their Nigerian citizenship and chose to remain with Nigeria right? or are you saying there will be an official ethnic purge of Nigerian Igbos? una arguments (both the pro-biafra and anti-biafra) dey make me laugh |
Education › Re: University Of Ibadan Ranked Best University In Nigeria [see Top 100] by monex(m): 3:35pm On Jul 03, 2017 |
Statsocial: There is no such thing as NUC ranking. This is 41cu ranking based on popularity of websites. You ppl should stop this nonsense abeg.
Even the mods here seem a bit clueless about university rankings. This 4icu rankings were released months ago, even before webometrics. but no Nigerian university published it because they understand that it is completely non academic unlike webometrics which is a research ranking which uses four indicators which includes presence, impact, excellence and transparency. The transparency indicator measures total citations of all research publication on the web for open access publications while excellence measures total citations by top researchers in 26 disciplines. Webometrics gives an estimate of a university's research capabilities by using web tools to investigate how each universities research work is being used globally.
Even though webometrics is controversial in Nigeria, all universities accept it as an indicator of research relevance of some sort. But the most acceptable rankings of all is the Times Higher Education rankings which measures Teaching, Research, Citations, International outlook, Industry income and whose results are audited by PWC I have stressed this before. Times and ARWU are the only audited rankings. Webometrics is fine for web citations and is the only fair ranking than includes Nigerian universities |

Amberon11: Asking dead people to pray for you is not the same as asking the living to pray for you. It is very much much biblical to ask people to pray for us. References of this are all over the bible but it is highly unbiblical to ask dead people or even angels (which we are higher than) to pray for us. meanwhile do you have biblical references to support that we are greater beings than angels? I would be interested and grateful for that. Thanks |

References of this are all over the bible but it is highly unbiblical to ask dead people or even angels (which we are higher than) to pray for us. i only pointed out that asking Mary to pray for them is not because they worship her but because they believe in communion/intercession of saints. I never said the communion of saints doctrine is biblical. most biblical references i see supported it are in the second canon which is not part of the popular bible (1st canon). so i cannot say you are wrong. |
Romance › Re: Guys, Stop Enticing Ladies With Money. by monex(m): 11:44am On Jun 29, 2017 |
illuminated93: Guys often make the mistake of appearing as beings with low self esteem. Most guys think of the female as a high and mighty queen that should be pleased at all times,so they go as far they can, even borrowing money from friends just to make her happy. If a guy considers himself special,he has his self esteem intact, he is in control of his relationship,he is the man,he knows that his girlfriend is lucky to be with him, just as he is lucky to have her around, when he wants to spend big, he does, when he wants to spend small,he does, he doesn't act wholly according to the dictates of his girlfriend,he has his common sense intact. It's about time guys know that the girl they love is truly lucky to gain their love and trust. A guy should help because he wants to,not because she's compelling you to or because you think,by helping she would love you more, that's a lie. Guys, don't beg for love! such guys are deemed proud. although they still get many ladies who complain about them |

jagugu88li: Exactly why I stoped all this bs.
God is three bodies in one but, Mary is the mother of Jesus and not God, note that. God says the only way through him is Jesus. Why then do we ask Mary to pray for us during our last hours?........abomination right there.
Read between the lines. Catholism is wack, changes the truth right infront of you and goes unchallenged.
Believe what you must though, they say its a free world before they delude you. Catholic doctrine believe that Jesus was God even while on earth and thus Mary is God's mother. Unless we will discount the doctrine of trinity asking Mary to pray for us is actually from the doctrine of "Communion of the saints". Catholics believe that saints in heaven can pray for us here. This does not discount that Jesus is the only way. Catholics tell Mary (and/or other saints) to pray for them the same way you asks your pastor or mum or friend to pray for you. |

chuksanambra: Hier
So, if you steal a shirt from me and thereafter you claim to give your life to Christ, you think you'll be free from the consequences of your action? Any day I see you with my shirt, I'll put tyre round your neck. Go and explain your story to God in heaven.
When you give your life to Christ, you obtain SPIRITUAL forgiveness. It doesn't in any way confer PHYSICAL forgiveness. The only way to ensure physical forgiveness is to make peace with those you have wronged AKA restitution.
The law of sowing and reaping is not a spiritual law, it's a natural law. Hence, even if you claim to be saved, you must be responsible for the consequences your actions.
Giving your life to Christ wipes spiritual records, it doesn't delete your case file in Federal Sars. repentance and forgiveness and mercy does not exempt you from restitution. in fact it is important to embrace restitution as part of seeking forgiveness from God |
