EducationRe: How Can Someone Get His Transcript From A University In Nigeria by monex(m): 4:16pm On Sep 01, 2014
ETX-NG is at best unserious and at worst fraudulent.

they fabricate fake statuses. my transcript process is over 5 months old and I have missed an admission window as a result. up till now no transcript has been sent.

Just avoid them if you can.

HealthRe: Federal Government Has Reversed The Suspension Of Residency Training Programme by monex(m): 5:18pm On Aug 29, 2014
lilprinze: is like FG brains have now starting
functioning. if not how would a
reasonable government just sack 16000 doctors or workers who are fighting for their rights or what they are entitled to. IN Nigeria is you want anything from government you have to go on strike or protest before they would know you are serious and answer you.
they had no intention of sacking them. i think they just wanted to meet "irrationality" with irrationality.
we see this in negotiations a lot
FamilyRe: Why Do Most Women Enjoy Humiliating Other Women (both In Public Or In The Home)? by monex(m): 12:58pm On Aug 27, 2014
Arsenate: Lol so true about the female drivers thingy. they'll never allow you in no matter how hard you plead with them. I've understood that now anyway and I don't even bother to ask them for space. I just wait till it's a man and usually men don't have problem allowing you drive in.
actually that is because of the stereotype that women don't drive well. the female driver thinks you are trying to bully her because she is a woman and she is often right.

Men think they are better at driving. so wrong.

FamilyRe: Why Do Most Women Enjoy Humiliating Other Women (both In Public Or In The Home)? by monex(m): 12:52pm On Aug 27, 2014
Amhappy: OP's eg is not directly a woman to woman problem but madam -maid. I bet the woman will do same thing if her servant is a boy. That said, women are still their own worst enemies. Envy and unncessary competition are the major factor.
that's the thing. usually the woman does not do this to a male house-help. i have seen this over an over again.

it seems sexist to say this but i suspect there is a woman-woman thing here especially when one is a master and the other is a seeming slave. the master tries to humiliate and take away the slave's esteem. This is much less prevalent in Man-Man, Man-Woman or Woman-Man. it mainly occurs in Woman-Woman.

while I agree about the normal human nature to be mean to those beneath one, i also notice there is a unique woman-woman side to these.

sandijey: Na good girls suffer pass. Tsheeeeeeeew. Like I said earlier. Everything is wrong in this country. All the runs girls in my class have good jobs now. Many of them are married. Through this runs they were able to take care of themselves., use the best creams, wear the best clothes. Hangout in nice spots where they can meet bachelors, Isn't it obvious that they will attract guys quicker than the girl next door who relies on her dad just to even buy sanitary pad. Life is not fair. That story he gave is 1 in a million.
very true jare.

it is even comfortable decent guys that chase after the ex-runs girls. the breadth of this runs girls tin in schools is heavily understaimated.

more than 10% i dare say. and a lot of them end up doing well.

does our completion as humans lie in physical completion.
Christianity EtcRe: Problems With Biblical Inerrancy by monex(m): 12:31pm On Aug 03, 2014
frosbel: The Bible is not unreliable when you read it from the context of the overall message of God's love and salvation for MANKIND.

Note a few things :

1. God used imperfect human beings
2. He did not override their will, emotion or intellect
3. He inspired them and they put pen to paper as best as they could narrate the words of God.
4. There were obviously errors and misrepresentations in some cases but these are few and far between.
5. The original manuscripts are not available, what we do have now are copies from other copies.
6. If you think about it, in those days there was no press, so scribes at different locations and times had to painstakingly copy these manuscripts.
7. During the translation to Latin , the Catholic church deliberately inserted some outright errors to support their myths such as the Trinity , Hell etc
8. These errors were carried into the English versions.
9. Nevertheless we are able to understand the specific truths of God through his Spirit and this requires humility
10. The message of Salvation is still not lost and consistent as ever.

Don't use this opportubtiy to make rash statements on what you know not.

cool
lol @ no 7. are you sure of this?

No 9 shhould be everyone's approach to the bible. with the spirit and in humility. Knowledge and salvation is for the humble not the proud.
RomanceRe: 'thank You For Accepting My Request' Why Do Guys Say So To Ladies On Facebook? by monex(m): 4:42pm On Jul 26, 2014
meelorlah: What are you thanking me for? Is it for adding you to my list of strangers or what?I don't even reply or acknowledge them...I gently remove it from my wall.Guys that fall real guys' hand
if u dont intent to chat with the person the why accept? undecided is it to increase your list of strangers/admirers (confidence-building?).

why shouldnt he thank you privately if you accept?

What is a "real guy"?

lol. The adulteration of "good ettiquette" is alarming.
RomanceRe: 'thank You For Accepting My Request' Why Do Guys Say So To Ladies On Facebook? by monex(m): 4:37pm On Jul 26, 2014
if it is a private message then there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

u sent an "add" request to a complete stranger. courtesy could suggest that you thank her for acceding to your request.

the "should-be" issue is when peeps add you and after u accept, wait for you to say hi first. That is irreconcilable.

How many of u talking trash are willing 2 get in A bus with a confirmed ebola virus infected patient for just 1 minute?
But yall can say anything about drs who are locked up in wards all day wit patients wit all sorts(hepatitis, hiv, ebola, lassa) for N5,000 monthly hazard allowance(diaris goduoo)...
As a matter Of fact i think all health workers(cleaners included)should recieve a hazard allowance of nothing less than N100,000.
Not some ppl fighting 2 head hospitals or 2 be called consultants...get ur priorities right people.
PS: ebolavirus has no cure presently...once you get it,YOU WILL DIE!!
i ve got just one question for you: re you a doctor?

if you are then it is terribly unfortunate. i highly doubt it sha. False information that can create panic is not the approach of a doctor.
RomanceRe: Why Are South African Women Crazy About Naija Guys? by monex(m): 9:01pm On Jul 25, 2014
Kinkybraids: Well these are great characteristics and im not disputing them but all I'm saying is that many Nigerian men who date SA women arent thinking long term or marriage as he knows he will go back home at some point to take a Nigerian wife. I strongly believe that if a South African girl dates a Nigerian man she should know its just for fun or to experiment but it mostly likely wont lead to marriage especially if he isnt based in SA. Im just being realistic...it saves a lot of heartache

Also the Stereo types about South African women (which are not true in all cases) dont really give SA women points in the marriege department when it comes to Nigerian men... or other foreign men
i agree lots of stereo types. I have a friend whose elder bro is married to an SA lady. they met in SA. the lady is smart, intelligent. into consulting. The guy had genuine intentions and was based in SA for sometime. they got married in SA and lived there a while. The lady is loved by the guys family, she speaks yoruba and genuinely loves nigerian culture. thats a better model for a naija man who is settling with an SA lady and vice versa

hardbody: Lol. Ok. on a salary scale of N24m plus per annum, i earn more than that in a month. Does that still make sense to you? I am coming strictly from my perspective and so do not see how N700k amounts to 'making it'. Its less than a couple of guys monthly take home. That is my point, i have not in anyway suggested that N.7m is not good money, especially when won on a bet, but it does not go beyond the short term.
it is > N7 million o. not 700k

I hate pranks in general, but the more "normal" thing to do would be to tell you before you travelled, and not wait for 2 weeks! Anyways, if you trust her, go with your gut feeling and continue the relationship.
correct babe. i was interested in response of ladies. this is a very expensive prank. not one to be taken lightly. if only peeps knew the emotional trauma they put one thru with this so called pranks.

i dont trust the girl at all. in fact it could be #truestory + abortiontins
RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Tested Me With Cheating & 'Pregnancy' by monex(m): 7:13am On Dec 15, 2013
it is a stupid test. very very stupid IMO.

I might have been ok with continuing the relationship but the moment she tells me it was a joke or test. The very foundations of our relationship become shaken.

A joke/test is a form of deceit. especially an expensive one.

also fathering another person's child is not as simple as "I accepted the child". You have to make enough effort to reach the father. try to find the runaway father first.

I think OP really loves the girl and was very carried away.

no rule fits all. depends on the parties involved.

personally, I prefer she doesnt cook for me @ my house. if i visit her, she cooks for me. if she visits me, i cook (or buy take-away) for her.

but if she wants it and insists then i have no prob allowing her.
RomanceRe: I Think Life Is Unfair To Women & Guys Need To Be Realistic! by monex(m): 3:09pm On Nov 19, 2013
ogugua88: My mother and I had this discussion just yesterday. I showed her a picture of a guy that was trying to get close to my sister and I. Her response? "Some guys don't date within their caliber." I was telling her, if I were a man, I'd evaluate myself inside and out and toast accordingly, for the girl I want should have no reason to reject me. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the guys who bash Naija women in this section are the lacking guys going for Kim Ks.

I've always wanted to open a thread for women to share their toasting experiences (but I haven't because I already know the result of such a thread). The kind of offers some of us get are ridiculous, and we're still made out to be witches. If I tell you I was asked out on a date by a homeless man at a train station, who would believe me? Yet it's true lol.

That's always been my motto anyway. If you want the best, then be the best and attract the best. A guy who is seriously trying to get a woman should give her no reason to say no. You don't have to be wealthy or even handsome. Just carry yourself well. If you're lacking in some areas, then make up for it elsewhere. You're not handsome? Then be compassionate. You don't have a job? Then put your skills to work and tell her your plans. No man or woman is without a flaw. Any man who puts his best foot forward can get the woman he desires. After all his attempts, if she says no, then the man isn't the problem.

Your post is a breath of fresh air, DN. Well done. smiley
i was about to disagree with you until I saw the bolded. My take is every poor man has a right to desire a hot KimK as every poor or ugly girl has the right to desire a Psquare or a Dangote. To each his own. The issue is when you castigate the other party for not accepting your advances.

"She is materialistic" - Yes, that is what she considers as value to her. You wey want hot babe, aren't you vain?
"He thinks he can get any girl because of his money" - dont you think you can get anything cos of ur stunning looks too

but seriously, there are guys who consider kimK to have little value. the hot body is not all there is.
also there are babes who dont consider a guy's wealth as "condierable value" he brings to the party.
