Is this not a good reason to let the false agitation of a fraud and hoax called Biafra to die? Is this not a good reason to see that biafra will turn out to be the greatest disaster a civilization ever produced because the same IBO LEADERS who were trying to milk nigeria with the 2nd niger bridge are the same people the "over zealous" youths shouting biafra will turn to for salvation?

Politics › Re: Heads Of Federal Agencies As Of Last Year (jonathan's Administration) by monex(m): 11:02am On Aug 28, 2015 |
normally Federal character is used for Ministries, parastatals and MDAs and was used in GEJ tenure. however where the marginalisation for the north (not south west) seems to show is the level of ministers and type of ministry for the ministries for instance. if you look at the list (2011 appointments) below, you will a small marginalisation of the north in the ministerial appointees.
south east had 5 first class ministries for the 5 south eastern states and even had an extra junior minister (finance, labour, aviation, health, power)
south west had 3 first class (trade and investment, foreign affairs, ICT) - the other 3 SW states had second class ministries (police affairs) and junior (state) ministers (defence, FCT)
south south had 3 first class (Petroleum although north got NNPC, Works, science and tech - this might not fly as a first class ministry though) - 1 second class ministries (niger delta) and 1 junior (state) ministers (education). it seems there was no (or more likely i cannot find the) minister from Cross river
it seems that there is some credence to the notion that SE had the best deal in ministers during GEJ. but the OP's post while extending it to parastals and MDAs was blowing it out of proportion. Federal Character will always the followed in these appointments

Romance › Re: Trick I Use In Catching Potential Rapist by monex(m): 8:41pm On Aug 12, 2015*. Modified: 2:05pm On Aug 13, 2015 |
Jenny1010: Most people often think that rape is only when there is an element of force, coercion or threat on the victim. The law says any person who had sexual intercourse with a girl without her consent has committed the offence of Rape. This means having sex with a sleeping or intoxicated girl had amount to rape. Some guys even stupefy a girl's drink in other to have their way. This type of rape is often difficult to prove absent of consent, thereby most girls don't even bother to launch a complain to the police.
My Story ( The trick)
This guy had been asking me out for sometime, yesterday evening I decided to give him a shot. He took me to a nice bar somewhere around town. As we got seated, he ordered for a bottle of alcoholic wine. I told him I don't have a head for alcohol (which is a lie), that a little sip might make me tipsy (big lie), except he will promise to take me home if I get tipsy. He promised me that he will take me home. As we got drinking, this dude keep telling me how much he love me and want me to be the mother of his unborn kids, and that he will never hurt me, that I should give him a chance blah blah blah... He looked so innocent, charming and convincing. I told him to give me sometime to think about his proposal.
After emptying several glass of wine, at a point I decided to start the trick to test him, I started acting like I was drunk. I started talking out of point, dangling my head and making awkward hand gestures. He was convinced that I was drunk, yet he was still persuading me to drink more. At that moment I knew he was up to something, but I need to be sure. I took more glass of wine as he requested, after that I increased my acting. At a point he decided it was time to go , he held me as we were walking out toward his car i was staggering . As he help me into the car, he slightly touched my boobs. He did it to look like it was a mistake, but I knew he wanted to confirm my state of intoxication, so I didn't bug. As he gets into the car and drove the car, I pretended to have dozed up. At a point he stopped the car, got out and rushed into a pharmacy shop, I was just lying there like I was deep asleep with my eyes slightly open peeping at him. I guessed he was buying condoms , but I wasn't sure. The next stop was in front of a hotel, he got down again and rushed inside. I guessed he went to book a room. He got back , helped me out of the car and inside the hotel. As we got to the reception, I decided the acting was enough, I forcefully pulled myself away from him, I called him a bloody liar , a rapist and all other hideous names I can't even remember. He was so astonished to see my eyes wide open. I also castigated the receptionist , I asked her how could she be their and watch a man drag an unconscious girl into a room . I even threatened to call the police to arrest them both. After that I walked out of the hotel gallantly leaving him there ashamed of himself. I took a taxi back home.
This is the 7th guy I have used this trick on , and they all failed woefully. The moment you start acting like you are intoxicated, the demon beneath the handsome, cool loving guy comes out to manifest. This got me thinking, are all guys rapist ? Is there any guy out there who can take an intoxicated girl to her house , without trying to take advantage of her condition? May God help us all. |

chineloSA: Being irresponsible is when both parents don't teach a girl who is at puberty stage to be responsible of her own body and independent to wash her body.
Being irresponsible is when you are letting a girl in her puberty to be handled by a man.
For clarity purposes, a girl in her puberty stage experiences a lot of changes including hormonal changes which lead to ( breast development, growth of pubic hair and also sexual urges etc) If you let a girl in her puberty be handled by a man, ( even if it is the biological father) that is irresponsible.
She will want to experiment or she will let the father experiment.
That's very irresponsible.
If your parents did that to you, it doesn't mean it was right. arrrhhh finally !!!! something worth agreeing with it is irresponsible of both parents. the issue here is not whether the Dad takes/will take advantage of her/rape her. that is jumping to conclusion. The issue is why a girl of 12 will not be responsible enough to wash herself. i would say the same of a mother bathing her male son even if she is less likely to take advantage of him. it is a very wrong education for a child (boy or girl). an ex colleague once told me of a boy of 13 whose penis went erect while his mom was bathing him. only to be terribly flogged by his mom and dad for it. |

firstEVA: how so? Where did he say he would marginalise anyone before? my opinion: he gave two contradictory remarks. he first part clearly showed marginalisation. i suspect he was just trying to be a politician and appease groups that campaigned for him. on realising the implications of the first statement, he corrected (or at least tried to) it with the second part. this thread and the former thread just took excerpts of the interview that helps their argument. the full video will tell you there were two contradictory parts. i think PMB should just get down to business and work. he cannot please everyone. PDP apologists will always wail/complain no matter what he says/do. for me GEJ's first mistake was the indecision from trying to please everyone. |

Why are you debating about regimes that Jonathan already approved of their actions and records he took over? i would be surprised if anybody thought otherwise. the small concern i have is that his govt has been painted worse than it look and people have used a tribal lens to look at his govt. i hear people a lot of people say Nigerdelta would not be allowed to rule Nigeria again and I see what some of the Gejites/tanoids are talking about. for me he must first of all recover as much stolen loot from the previous administration. how he intends to fight corruption is what i cannot advise on now. corruption is so endemic and systemic in nigeria that i think that apart from Buhari himself, everyone else in his govt and in the previous govt is/was corrupt. |
