busolayemi: Sumtyms I wonda aw dis men cope b4 dey got married...its ppl like dem dat kip a dirty room nd patronize mama bash's stupidly prepared meal...gosh!many bachelors can cook and clean their home before marriage plus mama bash food is not stupidly prepared. truth is things like good sex and good food and no longer the prerogative of married men. |
BetaThings: Why are you quoting extreme examples?First of all, are you suggesting that muslims should all go to their religious bases to wear their hijabs and niqabs? ![]() second, freedom comes with consequences. Sometimes, freedom has to be curtailed for the common good. thirdly, Stopping people from wearing a niqab (the one that covers the whole face is a niqab) does not strip them of their identity, but makes their 'identity' visible to everyone! Also, yes it is a rational argument. The man is victimised! I would be threatened if I can't tell who I'm speaking with.If a person wearing a niqab is crazy how would you know? You won't until the person starts dislaying, and may get hurt because you didn't know. Or what if it is a sick joke by a gay person who uses the opportunity to molest you? How would you report the case? Admit it, when you cannot see who you are talking to, the person has power over you- the power of surprise! If moslem women wear hijab, we can all appreciate their religious views, but when they are completely covered in a niqab, all many people feel is threatened and unsure. Now for those people who keep saying that banning the niqab is not the solution to the problem of crime, it is true, it is not. But banning all complete face covering even when it is in celebration as a masquerade, then we can at least rob the perpetrators of these kinds of crime of their hiding place. Besides not only muslims cover all their bodies as a religious belief. Some catholic nun congregations do too, but they never come out, anyway, so they are not a problem. |
toluene12: i know thats the problem, we believe malnutrition is synonymous with war, somalia, dafur, refugee camps, an hunger infested child with a pathetic figure and a vulture nearby to prey on the child ones he's abandoned.Because, although they rear these animals, they prefer to sell it to those urban people who don't rear them so that they can use the money to send their children to the scarce and increasingly expensive schools, or to maintain their homes, or to pay the extra costs of transportation with bad roads and no fuel. so we are back to the real problem-poverty! They have access to these foods, cos they grow them, but they are so poor that rather than eat it, they prefer to sell it! |
donofdons: [size=18pt]i am a god in my family.my decision is final whether right or wrong and i can interfere in anyones affair since all that happens is my buisness. Well, you forgot to add two things: "Mwahahahahaha! Despicable me" |
la furia: you think the attack wont still be carried out if niqab is banned? niqab covers the face while the hijab doesnt covers the face, so which one are you asking to be banned? the britain would have ban the use of niqab if they wanted, but they need reasons and not just because they dislike for it, yes u cant see their faces in public but britain are not having issues with them or have you had one before?. are people frequently commiting crime wearing the niqab nw?. is britain having security issues with those wearing niqab? do the stats, how many crimes do people commit wearing niqab? very rare and you want to ban it for security reasons rght, does it even make sense.Don't get touchy, pls. This is a matter of security here. While the practice of modesty and decency is welcome, being so invisible as to make a person unable to tell if it is a man or a woman they are seeing is not good for security agents. We all agree that witnessing helps a lot to solve cases, right? And sometimes, a nose shape, or a funny ear, or lips or whatever can help a victim identify the attacker. Eyes can be changed with contact lenses, so they are no proof. What the poster was saying was that the niqab is a sort of clothing that covers too much such that the person is not even visible and this is not good when it comes to identifying criminals. it also breeds distrust. If I can't see you, but you can see me, i feel more vulnerable. you can link my name to my face, but i can't do the same for you when i only see a niqab. I'll never know who spoke to me or where the person was really from cos i can't tell the tribe when i don't see the face. if you will set aside your fear of having someone insult your beliefs, you will see that the niqab as you call it, is not the best for public use. ![]() |
Interesting! I think that he should NOT be given any preferences whatsoever. He is a lawmaker right? Well, let him see how people suffer because of the laws that have been made in Nigeria, and maybe when he comes out he'll try to change the crazy laws that put accused people in the same prison situations as convicted criminals ![]() As for Otedola, he may not go to jail on account of bribery cos he'll just say that he only did it to show the corruption of Lawal himself, and that that was why the notes were marked. simple. |
anonimi: And so no discrimination or what exactly are you trying to say? That's because when we were discovered, we were ruled out before we even had a chance to show what we could do. and many of the things we did do, went to the glory of other people. We made tye and Dye, but where in the world do you hear us credited for it? |
OkparaIgbo: Well I dont care if any Yoruba person said something or not. Am I not allowed to be proud of my heritage and it's achievement thereof? What's wrong with being proud of my people?Oh, how righteous, coming from someone whose tribe was the first to give up on Nigeria and start a war! Bros, abeg leave that thing. Tribalism is just a broader form of selfishness. It will still be all about you even if you were a northerner. Tribal pride is not an excuse for treating others as inferior. ![]() |
freecocoa: My God! What is wrong with these men na? Is patronizing ashis now a luxury only the rich can afford? I thought there are asewos that charge as low as 500 naira, some will even do for just a plate of peppersoup and small stout so what's with the fixation on children?yes there are o. these guys are just psychos. runing someone's life because of some stupid urge and some minutes of sinful pleasure. |
lola.luv:lol @ extramural |
Siena: I agree bro. But that guy was wrong - no one died in the accident he was involved in, else he'd have said so. All he said was this: "must everybody involved die in an accident to make it qualify as such."unless the guy also said no one died then he would be correct. You can be involved in a fatal accident in which some other party (not yourself) died. |
austushi1: What if he does it alone? Is it their brain he used to get d findings? Its envy! Let's say it d way it is. Black man no dey like make him fellow black man rise above am! They are probably envious of him dat the U.S government might take him abroad n expand his levels, n then make him popular. U kw hw it is now; how dis common prof wey we sit 2geda discuss say make dem give am prof go come popular worldwide n we go come remain here. Its d black man reasoning! Black man with black sense! They just want to discredit dat mans effort! That's y d whites will ever be better than us. Its so annoying! Ok, y didn't they get 1 HIV patient, pass d vaccine into his/her systen, then see if it works or not! F..king procedure! Procedure my foot! Prof, bone dem make u continue with ya life ojare!i am yet to understand the sense in your post. also the bolded is the type of reasoning that make the whites seemingly (in your opinion) better than us. |
na small tin and you have done the right thing. i am sure peeps will be able to rally N600,000 in time to save his life. |
pDude: Why are Nigerians such local villagerswhy don't nigerians read first and why do nigerians make negative hasty generalisations about nigerians. You did not peruse the thread properly and concluded that the pimples and condemnation was about Molly (the lady on the video) whereas the pimples and condemnation was about nellyluv (a nairalander). |
@op. there are some falsehoods in your writeup. first divorce is culturally more common with some parts of yoruba & benin/itsekiri, Ibos are the least divorce-tolerant. the respect thing is kind of true sha. However, with the new "gender equality" mantra of our generation, this issue is no longer unique to Igbos. the best part of your write up is the "Oriaku" syndrome as you put it. |
kitty kat: D pix is clearer now. You werent expressing it wella. U sef! U no be good stroy teller.exactly. leaving the "knowing urselves for two months part" changed the story entirely. @op. i advise you go with Kittykat's advise (both former & latter). i am like that guy too (wif diff reasons though) and sure wouldnt expect a lady to wait for me while I make up my mind. it is simply not fair to her considering i could end up not being interested. |
what is jonathan ![]() |
slimyem: Definition of what's right or wrong is subjective especially in this case...but it is still risky to do this in the open. cos if the lady gives the guy a hot slap, even after consenting, everyone would support her. |
vanminister: this guy has a lot of pace. he is 30 or 31 yet he runs better than all our eagle players who says they are 22 or 26.that's not special, he is only faster than the other players because he is younger than them. forget that 22-26, those guys are 35+ |
OP thanks jor. truth is most peeps know that rape is nigeria is almost always the rapist fault. i dont know what the Attorney General was smoking. |
Total Hogwash. it is absolutely baseless. Most rape cases in Nigeria have to do with the evil and malicious intent of the rapist. abroad, it might be different. |
u need get confidence to toast pretty girl sha o. cos remember that she is highly-valued and lots of guys prolly better than you are also vying for her attention. having said that, a word of advise to guys: when you meeet a very beautiful girl who carries the "i am beautiful" tag and thinks her beauty is what she brings to th table, RUN!!! |
Idowuogbo: Dumbb fawkkk!! is d topic based on Nigerian gals? y base ur lopsided views on dem? ferking heddiot!!hey Idowu, apart from the bolded paragraph where he said "ladies dont want to be chased". I think he made some points. especially in the areas of "focus on your career/business". I see a lot of guys who spend their time and energies on ladies to no avail. |
ItsModella: complete, undiluted f*ck up, I would have injured his head with my heels...what nonsense?for U and oda guys not to retaliate, it is either two tins: you did much worse than a slap d guy na 01 for cult and you and everyone else were scared. normally for dat slap, boiz for beat am shege |
you don shi*t for church. You have goofed. I dey see my period for here. I am broke right now. pepper must rest today. I must make money today. e be like say gbege wan burst. it appears a fight is about to start. |
uj_sizzle: You're simply creating a scenario where the victim views abortion as murder. What if she doesn't? Maybe she sees it as a means to get rid of the 'visual' reminder of her misfortune.i was waiting for someone to sy this. on point. it really is a question of morality. if the victim sees abortion as murder then she would be worse off aborting the child. but if she doesn't care (a lot of peeps do abortion for the most flimsy of reasons) then the rape demon would be less potent as there would be no reminder. personally, I am pro-life and would have zero-tolerance for abortion. but i am a neither a lady nor a doctor so it might never be my decision to make. I would never support my wife in such a decision sha. |
uj_sizzle: @CrazyManthe trauma for a man who is raped is actually worse than that of a woman. note i mean when the man is raped by a fellow man, |
uj_sizzle: Inasmuch as I'm against the whole idea of abortion, honestly if i were molested and pregnant my one and only thought will be to get rid of that child.and U use "it" to describe the child. |
olas2u: You are really lost and not right thinking.its obvious you live in Nigeria, where many people like you dont think of society but self and things of life and not things that affect society.El rufai is intouch with a lot of youths on the social media ,educating them and letting them have judgements from 2 sides of the coin.who cares if he his from Northern Nigeria.what has his living in Nigeria got to do with his comment. |
babsG: its good to know that church business is very profitable, the useless fellow that mentioned the sultan should be very carefull.the sultanate is an islamic kingdom thats in control of the 19 states of the north and many more in niger republic and senegal. he deserves more than a private jet. infact he uses the presidential jets when on official duties. your grudges are with el rufai and should therfore be focused on him.haba 19 states? what control i pray tell me. do u mean to tell me that 2face idibia is ruled by the sultan ![]() u shulda just said he is both a religious and traditional ruler. To say he controls the 19 states of the north is overstating his control o. |
musKeeto: Lol... Nice one mallam. However u forgot d "Boko haram" tag. the gullible will also use this irrational and unrelated tag as their line of defence |
musKeeto: Lol... Nice one mallam.true but for only this post. i almost always have something on el-rufai but this last two headlines (ShutUp to NOI and Pastor Ayo Jet) have been flawless |
