PoliticsRe: Enough Is Enough Rally Part 2 by monkeyleg: 7:16pm On Mar 07, 2010
@ aisha2, you know I always back you, and I will this time as well. I spoke liek you did, and continue to, because inspite of what is happening, I believe suffering exists in both South and North and the common enermy is Greed.

Please people if you can, go out and let you voice count. The world is watching, and we have an opportunity to standup and be counted. This is not time to shy away, we must speak up for our children and thier children.

Nigeria is not working in its present state, let us not kid ourselves, it just isnt working, and it has remained so because we do not challenge those who claim to lead us.

PoliticsRe: No Southern president in 2011 –Ogbulafor D by monkeyleg: 8:26pm On Mar 04, 2010
what is with this rotational nonsense. Good Governance knows no tribe. Why not ask the UK how they have coped with different assemblies under one United Kingdom.
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua: Resign Now, Northern Reps Tell Akunyili by monkeyleg: 8:05pm On Mar 04, 2010

PoliticsRe: No Southern president in 2011 –Ogbulafor D by monkeyleg: 10:34pm On Mar 03, 2010
Marvix, you have a point until we have some sort of credible opposition to challange pdp. However, let us not forget thatg most of the parties we have do not represent anything no common values, in most cases all they have in common is bad goverment and the ability to steal huge sums of money. What does PDP actually represent as a party? what are thier ideals?
PoliticsRe: No Southern president in 2011 –Ogbulafor D by monkeyleg: 10:14pm On Mar 03, 2010
Onlytruth, you talk well. I often diswade people from thinking in the direction of war, but like you said it is never planned. Nigeria is in a very fragile state, and those who are holding the country to ransom must realise that. I can not understand for the life of me why a party that has failed woefully would boast about holding unto power for 60yrs? That Ogbolafor is a complete idiot
PoliticsRe: Whats Up With All These Akunyili Busybody? by monkeyleg: 9:35pm On Mar 03, 2010
whats all this unecessary ball scratching, you guys amaze me. Dora has not done anything wrong, why dont we face the idiots, that did nothing and said nothing, because they were too shit scared to face the truth.

Dora has acted well, and must not be run down the way some people are
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua: Resign Now, Northern Reps Tell Akunyili by monkeyleg: 9:11pm On Mar 03, 2010
Lets not forget that no one put them in office, they bought thier way in there, that is why they can shamelessly demand that she goes. What is so wrong with our people
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua: Resign Now, Northern Reps Tell Akunyili by monkeyleg: 8:28pm On Mar 03, 2010
Sick country that would rather sit in the cesspit we find ourselves rather than hear the truth. Is what Dora said worse than A president holding 150million people ransom. What is wrong with us as a people?
PoliticsRe: No Southern president in 2011 –Ogbulafor D by monkeyleg: 8:25pm On Mar 03, 2010
People must not dispair if we are prepared to stand up and be counted. Nigerians are notorious for that, and that is why we are all being phocked this way.

Nigeria as a country can not be held hosted by a thieving minority. The world is watching, and we all have a good opportunity to vote these devils out of power
PoliticsRe: No Southern president in 2011 –Ogbulafor D by monkeyleg: 8:13pm On Mar 03, 2010
In the words of Chief Zebrudaya "How you Are". I have often argued on this site that the problem with Nigeria today is PDP. No need to get angry, maybe this is now a good reason for people to vote alternative parties, and yes DEFEND YOUR VOTE. No one will do it for you.
PoliticsRe: Dora Akunyili Tells All! by monkeyleg: 9:39pm On Feb 28, 2010
@ Kech,

I tire oh! I have often found this negative atitude towards change in our people. We are so scared to realise our destiny, and when we see the likes of Dora who are prepared to stick out thier neck, we sit on sites like this and phyco analyse her motives. Where and how do we even qualify to challange her motives, when most were called to protest recently and quite a few made excuses why they didnt go.

We are truly not ready for change, as long as we satisfy our selfish needs, no one cares, we are doing what most politicians are doing, looking aftr number 1.
PoliticsRe: NTA 8.5b Contract: Is Prof Dora Akunyuli Corrupt Or Simply Dumb? by monkeyleg: 7:47pm On Feb 28, 2010
@ Samorijack, please substantiate your claims. You must have very good evidence to suggest that, please share.

In my opinion, without all the facts , I think this is an honest mistake, and not one that would automatically classify her as a fraud, cheat or thief.
PoliticsRe: Dora Akunyili Tells All! by monkeyleg: 7:16pm On Feb 28, 2010
Well done Prof Dora Akunyili. This is the stuff good people are made off. I would rather be led by people like you than to be stuck in a country that fails to face up to the truth. This woman has not agenda, but the truth.

Nigeria is where it is today, because we as Nigerians fail to face up to the truth. Why should she resign? Let her voice remain the only true voice of reason in a useless Cabinet
PoliticsRe: Where Are All The Men Hiding? by monkeyleg: 6:23pm On Feb 28, 2010
Maybe it is time we give women a chance to rule. The only good done in our country in the last 8yrs are by women.
PoliticsRe: Dora Akunyili Says Goodluck Is Here To Stay by monkeyleg: 11:25am On Feb 27, 2010
Dora for president?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Inhumanity At Its Worst: Viewer Beware by monkeyleg: 11:20am On Feb 27, 2010
I dont think the origin is necessary, the fact that this ever happened is the important point. Whether we like it or not The governemt of Nigeria is responsible for such failings. Benin- Lagos road is notorious for all sorts of things, and the sooner Nigerians as a people rise up and claim their country the better for everyone. This is just sick, why has Nigeria sunk so low. Why are people doing this to other people,

May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Returns To Nigeria: Condition Unknown by monkeyleg: 10:58am On Feb 27, 2010
Very sad for our country. What can anyone benefit from keeping our country the way it is. Can those involved not see what is happening? did Oga Yar Adua not have to leave Nigeria to seek medical attention. How did he feel as a President that we do not even have 1 single world class medical facility in a country of 150 millions people. Not one sigle sector is working in our country. The roads are bad, no water, no light, no security, no medical facilities, no schools, no justice, no peace, nothing is working, absolutely nothing. And yet people think it is justified to have such a government in place.

Just why, as Nigerians do we do these things to ourselves. what is so wrong with moving things forward for the vest majority, what is so wrong with having a country that things just work, what is so wrong with having a country that it's citizens feel safe, what is so wrong in having a country with men and women of intergrity. My brothers the Natives are really Restless.
PoliticsRe: Our Mission To Saudi Is To Thank The King – Ojo Maduekwe by monkeyleg: 10:28pm On Feb 23, 2010
Ojo once again has just confirmed his stupidity, I would have thought that after his disgraceful outting on BBC hardtalk and the UN press conferenece, he would be lying low. Why is he is such a rush to show us how downright stupid he is.
PoliticsRe: FIRS Chair In Allegation Of 36 Billion Naira Fraud by monkeyleg: 7:53pm On Feb 20, 2010
I think we should not rush into any conclusions, let us wait and see the outcome. If fraud is proven then the law must take its course
PoliticsRe: Dora Akunyili Finally Accepts Aondoakaa's Apology by monkeyleg: 6:34pm On Feb 20, 2010
and besides we have a lot of work to do to revive our country than chase after an absolute idiot.
PoliticsRe: Whose North? by monkeyleg: 3:17pm On Feb 20, 2010
Poverty and hunger remains an attractive tool for some
PoliticsRe: Turai Bars Family Members, Ministers Get Visas by monkeyleg: 3:04pm On Feb 20, 2010
@ Naijaway, skyblue is right. I do not see the need for any diplomatic row. After all it might be the families wish to prevent visitors from seeing the president, and there really is nothing we can do about that, but respect the families wishes. However is the family insist on keeping the country in the dark, then the right thing must be done and impeachment proceedings must commence. Let us see what happens when that starts.

I dont see the point in spending so much of our countries money looking for a president that doesnt want to be found.
Foreign AffairsRe: Mugabe Cracks Down On Nigerians by monkeyleg: 1:13pm On Feb 20, 2010
Just like Nigeria, we must feel for the innocent citizens of Zimbabwe, they did not choose the despot (Mugabe) to lead them. The man is now acting like a madman in a cesspit of shit
PoliticsRe: Turai Bars Family Members, Ministers Get Visas by monkeyleg: 1:08pm On Feb 20, 2010
Well done to her, she is only fueling speculations of her husbands condition. I think Nigeria has spent too much time on this issue, and must move on now. We have a nation to build, in time the truth will reveal itself. No need in spending money Nigeria doesnt have on this matter.
PoliticsRe: Fg Woos Ribadu, El-rufa’i by monkeyleg: 1:04pm On Feb 20, 2010
Why do we all believe it has to be PDP, in my opinion we have an opportunity to change things for the better. Like CitizenY suggested Jonathan really needs to make the best of the chance given to him, if not, well it may not be PDP come next election
PoliticsRe: Fg Woos Ribadu, El-rufa’i by monkeyleg: 12:26pm On Feb 20, 2010
Well needed for our progress. People often complian about the duo, but I think they did well during thier time. Ribadu must be allowed to continue what he started no matter how selective it may have seemed at that time.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Bans Congratulatory Adverts, Solidarity Visits by monkeyleg: 7:45pm On Feb 15, 2010
Very good Mr Acting President. There is a lot of work to do, so as soon as we all take our fingers out and start solving the problems the better
SportsRe: Giovanni Trapattoni To Sign Two Year Contract With Nigeria by monkeyleg: 3:15pm On Feb 13, 2010
another gimmick. when are we ever going to get serious about solving problems in Nigeria. Real big joke
PoliticsRe: Lagos Rated ‘fifth Worst City’ by monkeyleg: 2:52pm On Feb 13, 2010
@ Sulad82i, are you kidding me? Lagos a Mini NY. Hmm, this is how we have been living a deciteful life for so long. What is wrong with telling ourselves the truth, if Lagos was such a mini NY how come we dont get a mention as a potential tourist destination?

The town is not that great, and frankly a dissappointment to other cosmopolitan cities, maybe to other Nigerian cities it might fair well, but to other international cities, it scores poorly, and by the way I lived in Lagos for years
