PoliticsRe: Enough Is Enough It's Time For Nigeria To Change by monkeyleg: 7:59am On Mar 27, 2010
Nice one. We must all demand change if change is ever going to come.

Some times i have a real big problem with people who sit thier arses dwon and do nothing. We are notoriously known as a do-nothing country.

I remember an (Oyibo Man), once saying to me that it looks like the Walls in Nigeria have holes, that when people are pushed they dont fight back, but simply slip through the holes.

The Bastards that rule us are doing the nonsense they are doing because the know clearly well that as usual, nothing will happen.

How can a thief like Ibori rule a state for 8yrs, not do 1 tangible thing, steal all the money (serious money), and still be working free.

Ibori is walking free, they should go and catch him

PoliticsRe: Medical Expert - Yar’adua Is Either Dead Or In Bad Shape by monkeyleg: 7:36am On Mar 27, 2010
@Slap1, what is wrong with the line of reasoning? Nigerians arent any wiser of the presidents state, this leave room for all sorts of speculation. It is so disgraceful that Nigeria is the only country in the world that it's citizens can be held hostage for so long, and nothing is done about it. You even have intelligent people that are even prepared to lie blatantly about the blindingly obvious.

We should wake up as a nation.
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua, Saudi: Presidency Probes Missing Security Vote by monkeyleg: 7:26am On Mar 27, 2010
Even in sickness people are prepared to cheat the country. This is so bad, and typifies what is so wrong with our society.

Greed, and absolute selfishness is our biggest problem, even far bigger than bad government. People who have done such, are the same ones that would be prepared to sell their parents for money.

PoliticsRe: People Agitating For Nigeria's Break Up Are Simply Delusional & Ignorant by monkeyleg: 2:55pm On Mar 20, 2010
We need to sit down as a country and either decide to live together in mutual respect of one another, if that cannot happen we need to go our separat.e ways. Whats is happening in Nigeria is not new, we are just not grown up about the whole issue
PoliticsRe: People Agitating For Nigeria's Break Up Are Simply Delusional & Ignorant by monkeyleg: 1:22pm On Mar 20, 2010
why cant we face up to the truth in Nigeria? the truth is really hard to swallow. Can soemone please tell me how Nigeria is working as one entity?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Recalls Ambassador From Libya Over Gaddafi’s Statement by monkeyleg: 1:19pm On Mar 20, 2010
@9jafreak,

Please tell me, what is it that Gadaffi said that isnt true? In your ultimate wisdom, is Nigeria working as a country?, if so how?
PoliticsRe: What Happened To Gloria Okon? by monkeyleg: 10:30am On Mar 20, 2010
But seriously folks, we need to start asking such questions in our country, this our i-dont-care attitunde has not really helps us. What really happened must be made known to all
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Recalls Ambassador From Libya Over Gaddafi’s Statement by monkeyleg: 9:41am On Mar 20, 2010
@harakiri,

I agree that the bolded points look like mission impossible, but at least it gives us something to aim at. Let us stop bashing Gadaffi and come back to the serious issues of the day. Nigeria is in serious trouble, no matter how anyone would like to paint the image. And Nigerians are failing to understand the depth of our problems.

Should we really be arguing about Gadaffi's comments, or looking for a way to stop the killings in Jos or any other part of the country, should we not be addressing that fact that after almost 50yrs of independence we still cannot define our country ans a functioning entity. We cannot seem to do anything right. Charity they say begins at home.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Recalls Ambassador From Libya Over Gaddafi’s Statement by monkeyleg: 8:36am On Mar 20, 2010
@ harakiri and ayettymama,

Una talk true. Look at my past post on this topic. I have said exactly the same thing. We have started displaying the exact same charactaristics that has prevented Nigeria from moving forward.

In as much as I believe somewhere that a 1 Nigeria my be good, the bare fact facing me is that it is not working as a country. I am not agitating for a break up, but I am facing the simple truth.

The question I ask is what are we currently benefiting from having a UNITED Nigeria? what? what are we getting out of it? Let someone please point me in the right direction, please show me 1 reason, why we are still locked in this loveless marriage called Nigeria. I need 1 reason.

Is it Peace? there is no peace, the Natives are very restless.

In my opinion, GJ has 2 possible tasks that will make him go down in history as a good leader. 1: Give us a free, fair and credible election, 2: Organise NSC, we must all agree how we intend to leave with each other. If he can archive either one, then he has done well
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Recalls Ambassador From Libya Over Gaddafi’s Statement by monkeyleg: 3:00pm On Mar 19, 2010
That is my point, should we over react because someone tells us the truth no matter how
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Recalls Ambassador From Libya Over Gaddafi’s Statement by monkeyleg: 2:32pm On Mar 19, 2010
People are free to comment on whatever they want. After all people would have suggested the same thing about the Old Russia, or Yugoslavia, South and North Korea.

It might sound like being insensitive but it the truth, and we better start telling ourselves that. Do Nigerians not know that we are in a very loveless marriage. Do we not know that all is not well with our country, are we too scared to own up to this truth, and if some is bold enough to say what is obvious, we react childishly by throwing out our toys? Let us all grow up and deal with issue like adults rather than bury our ugly heads in the sand.

Nigeria does not behave like a country that is one full stop.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Recalls Ambassador From Libya Over Gaddafi’s Statement by monkeyleg: 2:18pm On Mar 19, 2010
Silly knee jerk reaction. What the guy is saying is true, so lets stop walking around naked in public
PoliticsRe: Nigeria - Church Leaders Back Gadaffi by monkeyleg: 2:15pm On Mar 19, 2010
I think this is an issue that has been ignored for far too long. No matter how much I try to imagine a united Nigeria, the truth is that this issue must be dealt with very soon.

People who are dismissing this issue as reckless rant from Gadaffi, really do have thier heads buried in the sand.

Well done GJ, this is a step in the right direction. Lets just watch his next move. He really has nothing to lose by doing the right thing, after all PDP do not want him.

some people are funny, why should the millitary take over?

PoliticsRe: Gen Domkat Bali Speaks On GoC Jos by monkeyleg: 4:44pm On Mar 14, 2010
I am amazed that some people would suggest that you need cordial relationships for people to do thier work. The GOC, if whats everyone is saying is true, should be removed and tried. It is absolutely disrespectful for him to suggest that he was too busy to take calls from a Former Very senior General as well as the state governor. Kick the bloody fool out. He is part of the problem

PoliticsRe: Co-passenger Forced Out Of His Seat For Sitting Close To A Governor by monkeyleg: 11:15am On Mar 13, 2010
@obstead200, if the governor needs to be protected, he should buy his own plane. There is not justification for what he did. Just shows the mentality of the people that rule us. If you feel you cannot relate with the people you rule, then you are not fit ti be governor, they should impeach the idiot
PoliticsRe: Has Anybody Considered Ojo Madueke For President. by monkeyleg: 11:12am On Mar 13, 2010
big joke, Ojo cannot even be considered to wipe his own backside, the man in an incompetent fool, I wont even consider him to be the village idiot, he is that bad
PoliticsRe: Plateau Massacre : Police arrest 377 suspects, prosecute 162 by monkeyleg: 10:46am On Mar 13, 2010
My Brothers and Sisters, the bigger question is how was this allowed to happen if there was a Millitary curfew? is there now credibility to the text message that trucks were stopped by the guarding youths but were not allowed to see the content. Did the millitary play a role? Big questions that must be answered.

This is all happening because we have a dead goverment, No Government, No Leadership. The folks that have held Nigeria to ransom for so long are responsible for this evil. Noboby benefits from actions like this.

God is not blind, and sees all that happens. May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Dont forget the special place Jesus has for Children in his heart.
PoliticsRe: Enough Is Enough Rally Part 2 by monkeyleg: 2:39pm On Mar 08, 2010
I know it is good for us to air our views even when we disagree, that to me is democracy. However what I find to be a problem, and believe me is the reason why Nigeria has not moved forward, is that people come on here and on other sites, and discourage others, but never offer an alternative.

For those who do not think this is a good idea, all you have to do is not turn up or get involved, but to come here and conderm others is plain wrong. if you have issues with the need to protest, please start another thread. Dont come here with an attitude that contributes nothing, but serves to be so divicsive
PoliticsRe: Enough Is Enough Rally Part 2 by monkeyleg: 10:11pm On Mar 07, 2010
@Amarilo, and how do you propose they correct the errors of the past? Especially with a non-functional government?

You say all this as if the Governors of the eastern states are actually doing what they should and central goverment is letting everyone down. The whole country is sick, and we need to face up to it
PoliticsRe: Enough Is Enough Rally Part 2 by monkeyleg: 9:22pm On Mar 07, 2010
@Amarilo,

I think Aisha2 and Beaf have answered you adequately. I am an Igbo man, and let us not forget that Ojo and Ogbulafor at both Igbo men. they are part of this nonsense, and I doubt they speak for Igbo people. There is no Curse, so stop perpertrating things you dont understand or know.

All tribes are suffering from a non functional government. If Nigiera was working, I doubt we would discussing tribe issues the way we are. Look at the UK, made up of 4 different parliament (Welsh, Scottish, NI, and GB) all part of the United Kingdom. They dont fight each other, because there is a functioning government.
PoliticsRe: Enough Is Enough Rally Part 2 by monkeyleg: 8:28pm On Mar 07, 2010
@Amarilo,

Please be constructive in what you say. If you have nothing good to say, then shut up. Aisha has done nothing wrong but encourage us all to come out and stand for our rights. I fail to see the reason why tribe and religion should be brought into this matter.

I strongly believe that 99% of Nigerians are suffering no matter what part you come from. The common enemy is Not North or South, but Greed. After all Ibori is from the South and he is oppressing his own people more than any Hausa person, so let us get real and face the real issues.
