This illiterate will finally become the scapegoat.....it takes intelligence and style to become Mario "Suge" Knight. He will now know the difference between tout and intellect when they write statements on his behalf just to implicate him more.
My issue with this guy is that 1) he is talentless, 2) that his neck chain that is more of a bandage than fashion, 3) Is he going to write statement in Yoruba language?
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry, over an ongoing investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of the singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad.
The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development to our correspondent in a late Thursday night telephone interview.
“Yes, Balogun Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation,” Hundeyin said.
The PUNCH reports that the police had earlier invited Sam Larry and singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, for questioning over Mohbad’s demise.
The police, last week, also confirmed that pathologists had concluded the autopsy conducted on Mohbad, while they await the result.
He said, “Autopsy has been concluded. Awaiting results.” This development followed the exhumation of Mohbad by a combined team of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials.
The police had also arrested the nurse who reportedly injected the deceased singer before his demise on Tuesday, September 12.
9jaloyalist: Talk to your landlord, it will do you alot better.
What's the business of the landlord and tenant, did they do it in his flat? He can fix sound proof in his door if that's his only problem......in as much as I know he has been participating via solo masturbation.
IamAsiri: Only idiots did not understand his statement then.
Of course, he would prostate to any one of them in their palaces if he deems fit but he also expected them to stand up to dignify him at a public function. It's not as if they were asked to prostate. It's just the same as a governor kneeling down in front of a pastor for prayers in either the pastor's church or office while the same pastor is expected to rise to greet when invited to a public function that the governor is also present at for ministration.
Tell them....people choose not to understand his message.
Okoroawusa: Hahahaha! This guy wan leave Ghana by all means so he wants any Western nation to give him asylum. He keeps manufacturing "political persecution" everyday.
He is smart.....smarter than a whole lots of you shouting in both opposition and ruling factions.
Naira hits all-time low, trades N1,000/$ at parallel market
Nigeria’s local currency, the naira, has set a new record, falling to its lowest against the dollar at the parallel market.
Currency traders in Lagos, also known as Bureaux De Change operators (BDCs), quoted the naira at N1,000 to the greenback at the street market.
The traders, on Tuesday, put the buying price of the dollar at N990 and the selling price at N1,000 — leaving a profit margin of N10 .
The figure represents a depreciation of N7 or 0.7 percent from the N993/$ it traded on Monday.
A BDC operator simply known as Atiku, in Ishaga, said he is selling the dollar at N1000; while Shehu, another street trader in Ogba, offered the same rate.
“Dollar is more expensive and scarce. In fact, if you are willing to sell, I will be willing to buy, even if it is at N990/$,” said a BDC operator at the Alade market in Ikeja.
At the official side of the market, the investors’ and exporters’ window (I & E), the local currency depreciated by 4.78 percent to close at N773.25 to the dollar on Monday.
According to details on FMDQ OTC Securities Exchange, a platform that oversees official FX trading in Nigeria, a total of $64.14 million FX transactions were made at the I&E window.
The last time the naira hit its lowest was on August 10 when it traded at N950.
Since the federal government decided to unify all trading windows into the I&E window, effectively floating the local current against the dollar, there has been a huge gap in rates obtained at the parallel and official FX markets as demand shifts to the former amid a liquidity crisis.
Analysts told TheCable that speculative activities are also behind the disparity in the rates.
They argue that the failure of the banks to supply an adequate amount of FX to alleviate pressure in the official market pushes demand to the open market.
To curtail the naira free fall, Wale Edun, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, had said the country needs to address its $6.8 billion overdue forward payments, and shrinking reserves.
On his part, Aminu Gwadabe, the president of the BDC operators, said the BDCs are proposing consolidation to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to make it possible for them to access more FX.
He said obtaining forex has become difficult for some operators, so merging their resources would make it easier to have the liquidity needed to obtain FX.
Their target is the mobilisation, an opportunity to cashout. This is the best comment I have read this morning 👇
"Mohbad was hypertensive- a health information he never hid. There's a reason hypertension is nicknamed "the silent killer". Despite being hypertensive, he was a hard drug user, two dangerous combinations.
In his mother's recent interview, she suggested that Mohbad was scared and not breathing fine during the recent periods she spent with him.
The body regulating Nurses in Nigeria has clarified that the nurse who allegedly "treated" him was not registered. Put differently, the person on whose medical care he spent his last hours on earth was not qualified to practice as a nurse.
The hospital that certified him dead confirmed that a nurse was treating him at home and it was when his situation deteriorated that he was rushed to the hospital. He was dead on arrival (DOA).
To the social media warriors, the possible causes of his death are:
1. Naira Marley's bullying and juju 😂
2. His wife's presumed infidelity with a certain Sam.
3. His beloved father who hated him.
From the very first moment the few of us at the other end of the spectrum received the details of his untimely demise, we established the outstanding remote cause to be drug abuse and the major immediate cause to be poor health care delivery by a quack who "treated" him without his medical history.
The mob cannot silent us. We anticipate the result of the autopsy"

Nigerian pastor unable to walk after embarking on 21 days dry fast The church said that the pastor has not eaten food or fruits, nor has he drank water during his 21-day dry fast.
In a video on the Church’s Facebook page, the cleric, dressed immaculately in a white suit, was carried from his car to the altar by his devoted protocol officers.
There, he was gently laid on the ground, surrounded by his congregation, as he delivered prophetic utterances that left his followers in rapt attention.
On 30 August, in another video posted on the church’s Facebook page, the pastor announced his intentions to embark on a 21-day fast and prayer to, in his own words, “shut the gates of death.”
He declared, “Where I am going, you will not see me anywhere. I will go to the hiding place and cry to God for my people. The gate is already open where I am going. Do you think it is my will? It is an assignment. I came here to defy the gate of death and declare that there are people you will not take under my watch.”
Pastor Victor reassured his congregation that he would stand as their representative before the gate of death, preventing it from claiming any more of his flock.
He said, “Where I am going, you would not see me anywhere. I will go to the hiding place and cry to God for my people. Where I am going, the gate is already open. Do you think it is my will? It is an assignment. I came here to mock the gate of death, to say to death there are people you will not kill under my eyes”.
The pastor told his congregation that he would represent them before the gate of death, and he would delay the gate of death from swallowing his congregants.
He said, “Do you know how many of you are living today because Yahweh keeps using me as a gate to represent you? Is it not that in your family that people are dying like fowl, your brother died unprepared, your sister died, is it not the same blood? What do you think is keeping you?”
The church said the pastor fasted for 21 days from the 1st to the 21st of September, 2023. Without eating food or fruits, neither has he drank water during this period of dry fasting.
To celebrate this new feat, which the church titled a ‘Season of Immortality’, the congregation, all dressed in white, awaited the arrival of the pastor who had been fasting.
Upon his arrival, the pastor, who was unable to walk, was carried by his wife and associates from the car to the church altar, where he was laid on the floor, where he prophesied to the congregation. They then sang and danced in celebration of the “new season of acclaimed immortality.”
“THE TRIUMPHANT RETURN OF GOD’S SERVANT.
It read, “He endured the pain, discomfort, and battle of this special season of waiting on the lord in fasting to sustain the covenant of LIFE AND IMMORTALITY in the life of the sons and daughters of Zion.
Our father ‘’PASTOR VICTOR GREAT’’ fasted for 21 days without food, water, fruits, or any substance, based on God’s instruction that he received 16 years ago, and has done this every September since that time.
The excitement of God’s people filled the auditorium with an overflow in every corner of Zion. Men and women came in their thousands to behold the sacrifice of this great man of God in Warri, Delta State.
Nigeria’s Economy Must Be Freed From Oligarch’s Interest, Says Rewane
He said the naira will appreciate again but added that the appreciation might not happen until early parts of 2024.
Renowned economist, Bismark Rewane, says for the Nigerian economy to bounce back with a strong currency, the government must free it from the interest of a few rich people.
He said the naira would be appreciated again but added that this might not happen until the early parts of 2024.
Rewane, who was a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, said that the government must allow the market to determine pricing.
He noted that the palliatives introduced by the Federal Government in the wake of the removal of fuel subsidy won’t address the fundamental issues affecting the economy but only a temporary measure.
“You got to believe in the reform economics, if you don’t believe in it then you can’t do anything about it. Secondly, you got to stop state capture, you can’t have oligarchs and barriers to entry. So, this economy must be freed from the oligarch’s interest. An oligarch interest means state capture, shifting state resources to private pockets and leading to inefficiencies.
“You must allow the market to determine pricing. By reducing subsidy on petroleum products, and reducing subsidy in exchange rates, those monies shift to the government. So, how is the government spending the money coming their way?
“In all fairness, the word subsidy means temporally relieve, it doesn’t address the fundamental issue, the fundamental issue is that there must be growth and there must be increase in productivity,” Rewane said.
According to the economist, Nigeria needs to spend big on projects that increase productivity, block leakages, encourage people to invest, and ensure that the interest rate is close to the rate of inflation so that there will be equilibrium.
He sees signs of the economy bouncing back but maintains that the government also needs to come clean and be straightforward with the true position of things at the moment.
