According to report on Linda Ikej's blog this morning, a yet to be identified Nigerian student in Malaysia has reportedly been beaten to death for attempting to rape a lady inside an elevator in a service apartment on September 23rd. Malaysia's newspaper, Malaymail online, reports that the Nigerian student was mobbed by residents of the service apartment after the victim raised an alarm. The police was called in and the Nigerian student was taken to the police station with injuries on the right side of his head, and had scratch marks on his legs and hand. He later died at the police station. "We received a call from the security manager of the apartment who informed us of the incident. When police arrived at 8.20 pm, the suspect was surrounded by 20 to 30 people and his hands were tied. The victim put up a fight and screamed for help as the lift door opened and several men who were in the area caught the suspect. The suspect was then taken to the police station at 8.45 pm. He was fine and he even walked into the station accompanied by policemen. However, we found him unconscious when one of the officers checked on him. Ngbede Omale has confessed to Benue State Police Command how he secretly killed his friend, Agabaidu Omale and buried him in a shallow grave. Narrating how he committed the crime to Daily Sun at the State Police Headquarters where he is presently cooling his heels, Ngbede said he had a heated argument with his friend in the farm which resulted into a fight. “I just gave him a little push and he fell down and before I knew it, he was dead. I tried to resuscitate him but to no avail. I didn’t know what to do and there was nobody around. So, I quickly dug a shallow grave and buried him there.” The suspect, who is now blaming the devil for his crimes said he didn’t intend to kill his friend. However, when it was announced in the village that Agabaidu was missing, Ngbede kept sealed lips for over eight months until hunters one day discovered his skeleton in the shallow grave where he had been buried. “I did not intend to kill him. I did not know that he would die. In fact, as soon as I buried him, I came home and confided in one of my cousins after which I ran away from the village. I did not know that my sin would still find me out. I am sorry.” Commissioner of Police in the state, Dibal Yakadi said the bubble burst when the mother of the deceased insisted his son was last seen with Ngbede and a manhunt was launched to nab him. Let me laugh first.hahahahahahahaha, I couldn't believe my eye when i boarded a bus going to Ikeja. I say this fire extinguisher under the seat of the bus, not only that it is hiding from the eye of people, it is inside a confined iron protector and under lock and key. Haba bus drivers, watin dey happen? If this fire extinguisher is for emergency, how come una put am like this? A barren couple, Mr and Mrs Ayogbile alongside a trado- medical practitioner have landed in police net over the sale of a baby in Ipaja, Lagos state. Vanguard reports that the trado-medical practitioner, Onolaja Olawale, allegedly sold the two-week, four-day-old baby to the couple, who have been barren for about six years for N136,000, after informing them that the mother was late. But co-tenants of the Ayogbiles, who had never seen the wife pregnant before, were reported to have contacted the police when they saw her with the infant. Mr Fatai Owoseni, the Lagos state commissioner of police, who paraded the suspects before journalists yesterday, rightly informed that the baby was sold to the couple. According to police investigations, Olawale, the trado-medical practitioner, was said to be a family friend to the parents of the sold baby and took custody of the infant when the mother, Idiat Babatunde, who had just concluded her Higher National Diploma, HND, at the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara state, had to leave for school to conclude documentation in her faculty towards the compulsory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The trado-medical practitioner reportedly invited the barren couple to come and pick a baby for adoption, explaining to policemen, that the mother of the baby was aware of the planned adoption and had even collected an upfront payment of N70,000. “Mrs Babatunde gave me the baby to take care of because my wife is also breastfeeding. We have been family friends . But when I discovered that taking care of two children at the same same time was burdensome on my wife, who gave birth through caesarean, I decided to give the baby to a client who I have been giving concoction for child birth. I informed the baby’s biological mother before giving the baby out.
