Christianity EtcRe: Can A Christian Kill In Some Circumstances? by Motee(f): 11:17am On Sep 28, 2005
a quick one @ Hotangel & WesleyanA.

What do you suggest to this scenario. A womandue to problems during delivery has to chose within 3 minutes either staying alive or agreeing to kill her unborn child which may kill her if delivered.
FamilyRe: Marriage of an Educated Woman and Uneducated Man by Motee(f): 1:44pm On Sep 27, 2005
Have heard and seen few businessmen who have big business but uneducated and married to an educated woman. Infact some of these women are career women.

To answer your question, i think the marriage can work better if it's the opposite direction.
FamilyRe: How to start a relationship with estranged fam by Motee(f): 11:59am On Sep 27, 2005
With dollars according to Ajsalako, you will win the heart of most of them. Infact you will soon meet some of the great, great, extended family who are not directly related to your great, great, family from your father's side.
Nairaland GeneralRe: I Lent My Friend Some Money. Now She's Avoiding Me! by Motee(f): 11:49am On Sep 27, 2005
Most people don't keep their promise and I think the best thing is to give out an amount you can forget if not paid back except on certain cases.

Nowadays, I involve a third party so as to make the borrower pay back one way or the other if it’s quite much. Sometimes I tell them the money am giving out is not mine and it has to be paid back at this particular time because of certain reasons and he or she should think very well before taking it from me.

This should go to anyone whether close or not because have been insulted before on my own money.

PoliticsRe: Bribe-taking by Nigerian Policemen: Should We Legalize It? by Motee(f): 10:16am On Sep 27, 2005
I don’t think the N20 should be legalised because not all of them agree to take that, some of them take more than that depending where you are going among the Commercial Buses.  If it is legalised, then we are asking for more trouble which might even lead to death from straight bullet for those who don't have this N20 a times.

It might be a motivational token to the educated people but definitely not to most of them who knows nothing about it.

PoliticsRe: More Suitable Uniform Color For the Nigerian Police by Motee(f): 9:29am On Sep 22, 2005
I think for a while they should just allow them to wear white and that will help and change some of our feelings that not all of them have a black heart.

Do you know what? As much as I avoid them and somehow appreciate the good eggs among them, I dislike them.  I feel there is a spirit (bad one) that pushes them anyhow when they feel that Authority call power upon them.

It is that bad that I will run away from my family who is a POLICE.

FamilyRe: Using First Names For Husband & Wife (Father & Mother) in the Family? by Motee(f): 2:54pm On Sep 21, 2005
@ Layi - hey! very funny.

I see nothing wrong in Parents calling each other names in front of the Children or an outsider. Infact, for someone like me hearing them, it will give me more joy that my parents love each other anytime I hear them call.

As for me I will prefer calling one another pet name or by our first names but the children have to stick to Daddy and Mummy.

RomanceRe: Does Love Have Anything to Do With Money? by Motee(f): 10:10am On Sep 21, 2005
I see no reason why a guy should go into what he is not yet capable of achieving to the fullest.

If I am a sister to this guy who is living on the street with only one pair of shoes, I will tell him that the next thing on his agenda should not be going out with a lady who you cannot once in a while take care of. He should work on himself first.

The world is growing day by day so let us stop this thinking of he has nothing and that the girl cannot go out with him because he does not have money.

You can avoid the 'too much asking babe or guy' but try to be able to stand as a man in your own small way.  Even if it is your pocket money, try and save some for a bottle of coke for the babe. Take it or you leave it, there is no way money will not come into your relationship and you better know it now before you say "hi girl".

On a lighter note, I do not pray to be the highest spender in my relationship because it is an ordained thing from the bible that the man will always be the head but that does not also mean that I wont spoil my husband with the so called much money.

EducationRe: 6-9-3 Universal Basic Education (UBE) Scheme To Replace 6-3-3-4 by Motee(f): 2:49pm On Sep 20, 2005
This is unfair. But do you think this will work? and is this what we need concerning our education? It seems they really do not care again because most of their children do not attend Nigerian schools and if they do, it is just at the primary level.

FamilyRe: Like Will Smith, Would You Consider an Open Marriage? by Motee(f): 12:57pm On Sep 20, 2005
They do not know the word and this is looking at it from the Christian and Muslim view.  So please! Do not blame them because they do not know what they are doing. Let us just use their opportunity to keep pleading for God’s Grace on our own weaknesses.

I feel more worst things are still coming if Jesus does not come on time.
RomanceRe: Does Love Have Anything to Do With Money? by Motee(f): 11:46am On Sep 20, 2005
I believe the money we are referring to here is not Cash per say because there is no amount enough for love but rather, the processes which we go through to maintain this so called love or to beautify it and make it last long cost money.

Have said it before on this forum and probably maybe on a different topic that ordinary phone call to say hi to a friend (not necessary going out) once in a while could be referred to as the financial aspect of that friendship. The importance of this scenario is not the money involvement but it helps build up your relationship in any way.
