Let me introduce my sweetheart; the M134 Minigun, it can spray over 50 bullets per second. i don't have to carry it , simply mount them on vantage positions in my house and program them with motion detector sensors to shred any intruder, almajiri or robber or area cockroach. Ara ga agba ewu awusa grin, while i just sleep on in my bedroom. that is my target, whether govt approves or not is not my headache, but i will get there. so all hypocrites like oyb on this thread can go on yakking , folks are thinking seriously of how to defend them selves and we are not far from these realities.
Are you going to war, u surely dont need such weaponry to protect urself, have u considered if it was stolen whilst u r away, God forbid ones children take it to settle little squabbles
Politics / Re: Can Nigeria Afford an Igbo President? by Moves: 12:52pm On Mar 03, 2009
This article goes to confirm that the Problem with nigeria is not just bad leadership or corruption but deep rooted tribalism and ethnic distrust until that is resolved moving the country forward will be difficult.

Moves,
obj did a lot of good things including the telecommunication industry which is enjoyed all over nigeria till date.

Am Glad u said these,

i would want to remind us here that most of us are not even aware of the dramatic situation with the april polls.
atiku was on his own based on court injuction so there was no way he could win and be president of nigeria. remember ribadu gazzetted a fraud case that indicted atiku within one week and declared him illegible to context the april polls through inec.

But It has since been proven that Atiku is corrupt, not even by EFCC, but by the US govt

did u follow the pdp convention that did not hold. do u know that odili was favourite till the last minute when obj changed his stance. do u know buba marwa was in the race and both men were asked to drop their presidential ambition or face efcc.
odili dropped his ambition knowing what will happen to him if he fails. marwa was sturborn till he was invited by ribadu who suggestion a settlement outside the court.
warwa complied with their instruction and today he is compensated with ambassadorian position.
whatsoever yar adua does today will be related to those two big men(ribadu and obj) who even against the wishes of majority of nigerians imposed him on us.

Well if these guys didnt have any skeleton in their cupboard they wouldnt have cowed in but we know better; Also they had the option of carpet crossing to pursue there ambition, We can accuse Yardua of alot of things but I dont think corruption will be one of them; the man is so clueless & living in the past that the best he can do marry off his 2 lovely daughters as 3rd & 4th Wife

nobody will do anything to iwu because iwu did nothing wrong in nigeria. if anyone is accussing iwu, he shld be able to be linked to his employee who till date sees him as the best man in nigeria.

I Hope you are just joking with the bolded part of that statement,
Politics / Re: I Saw Nuhu Ribadu In Kigali By Reuben Abati by Moves: 7:43pm On Feb 25, 2009
chidichris:

the lowest level of human beings here are those who praise obj/ribadu and turn back to criticise yar adua and his group.
we are all witnesses to the events that brought yar adua to power.
it is a general knowledge that ribadu and obj on their own brought yar adua on board.
it was this same ribadu that made us to understand that yar adua was the only man qualified among every other nigerian to be president.
if there is any manner of failure or failures, nigerians shld look towards the direction of yar adua for explaination bcs it was him who disqualified every other contestant and made yar adua a lone striker.
i will like us to admit the failures and apportion blames to the right direction.
who brought yar adua? obj. who brought ribadu? obj. so the praises and blames on the side of the above two must go to the same direction.
there is a God that will supply them with enough confussion for our freedom.
ribadu was doing better on the side of buying property with his inlaw's name than as a corruption fighter.
he was so stupid that he did not consider any federal govt appointed politician corrupt.
the only corrupt people in nigeria were govs who could not dance to his tone.
where was ribadu when el rufai was sharing all the lands in abuja to his girl friends?
war on corruption indeed.

Are you saying ObJ in his 8 years rule did not do a single thing right, Also as per Yardua being the lone contestant thats is not Run, Atiku, Buhari, Pat utomi etc contested the election, I will accept that PDP outrigged them, just like their party outrigged PDP is some states, So if anything I would suggest before Ribadu, Maurice Iwu is to blame

Dapolam, I have previously ask you some questions which were similar to what MT asked, seen your reply on FB, Though not concise enough to what i expected, I must state that I give u kudos for taking time to answer, I hope you intentions in seeking for the post r rights; however I wouldn't hide my disappointment that having taken up MT's challenge u decide not to follow up on this thread, My disappointment is 2 fold

1.Seeing , your lack of experience, I believe that following through on such challenges & debates on forums regardless of how antagonistic some elements may appear will definitely benefit you as you will be more knowledgeable and able to hold your own better, If I were you I would return and use this thread as a training ground, Trust with the amount of Intelligence here, if you can hold your own, House of rep will be a walk in the park.

2.Also, There have been the emergence of people with vested interest, stakeholders -The thread affords you the opportunity to hear them, question them and know what the oppositions have in stock for you; so as to fine up your plans.

My advice is return to the thread and take more heat, to come out as a refined gold, except u only want to go the house of rep as an onlooker without making any impact.

debosky:

What are you saying really? How is 'how much land does one man need' related to PAYING for ONE PLOT of land in Abuja

Read the Article -he wrote it.then u will see

Why can't Abati get a land allocation approved by the minister directly? Why must he buy 'of a private entity'? ALL Land allocation (whether through 'private entity' or not) is approved by the minister, so what is this talk about 'undue questions'??

National Honour is a different matter all together - it is not your constitutional right to have a national honour. ANYONE is allowed to own land in Abuja, and he got allocated and paid for it.

BUT NOT EVERY ONE IS ALLOCATED A CHOICE LAND IN ABUJA--It is also not a constitution right to be allocated a land in Abuja, It can be deemed as an entitlement due to his standing in society,

This is nothing but rumour mongering. Let people speculate to the high heavens. It is high time we stopped operating by rumours and start sticking to facts.

I dont consider it rumour mongering as they present a documentary evidence to show he was allocated a land, the Issue is not whether he paid for it or Not; but allowing his integrity to be questioned by accepting such as allocation he puts himself in light of corrupt politicians that are greedy for grain, he doesnt work in Abuja does he? He is not a civil servant ? hence he must know and expect that tongues will wag
Politics / Re: "dr Reuben Abati Breaks His Silence " by Moves: 5:35pm On Feb 17, 2009
@ Debosky, I want to know if you consider that regardless of whatever being insinuated by Saharareporters; any person of Abati's reputation represents an institution and should have moved to douse any speculations, Dont you think that he owes it to the reading public to reply to such insinuation as they (public) ultimately are responsible for his current status, If indeed he accepted the allocated land regardless of whether he actually paid for it or not, I personally consider it a stain on his person having read his article "how much land does one Man need"as i would expect him to have rejected such offers knowing fully well the furore it can bring, Did Gani not reject a national honour that he more than deserved, for pete sake A celebrated journalist like him can afford the buy a land in Abuja of private entity and keep his integrity intact without undue questions,

Asper qualification,We have seen people with all the degrees in the world moving us backward and not having anything to offer.I am not the best and sure I can never be, but I think it is time we forget the issue of qualification and stick to issues like God fearing, positive, developmental, inspirational, forward looking and exposed individuals who has got a lot to offer asper governance. My oppinion might be wrong but i suggest we analyse and see it from both angles.I.e yours and mine. Then we can reach a compromise to move Nigeria forward.Thank you and God bless.

What advice can AGF give, the Guy is Cluless, His is too busy collecting kickback from eX-thieving Govs to care, has he commented on this issue NO, he doesnt deem it important enough, On the Other hand I think that the powerful Cabal surrounding the president does not want the VP near that office at all, hence the manner in which the president went about the vacation matter, Hence making the VP incapable of making a decision so for the next 2 weeks all act of governance is stalled, Anyway no one will notice, I sincerely doubt that there is no ulterior motives behind this, as if this is a mistake then the AGF should be made to answer,

Its a very good book, It gives you an insight to the personality of Obama, Its a sort of autobiography, I think its a must read, He touched on Racism, his visit to Kenya, about his dad, conflicts about his identity, basically reading that book made me change my mind to support he rather than my favourite Clinton, U are better of reading the newer prints (2006 upwards as it has an updated forewood-which sets the tone of bare sincerity of the book)

ToksAjayi, why are u drinking panadol over someone else headache, are u sure u r not DapoLam with a different ID, the guy has stopped answering questions posed to him, If there aren't enlightened people or people of integrity who have not soldout their integrity around in his constituent to ask him questions about his intentions then what we are doing here is well and good, Its is of more benefit to him, as this would serve as a primer for him as there is still a few more years before the next election, hence he still has time to start preparing, restitutioning and rebuilding his image, So no one is after his head, we all just want a better life for our own people.

Typing gibberish on the Internet is nothing to be credited for, neither is being computer literate especially for a recent university graduate, show how low the nigerian expectations , WTF

the sad part to this story is, 99% of these noise makers haven't been to nigeria in 10-15 years and also have no plans to return any time soon. they certainly wouldn't be casting any vote during election time. they are powerless, the only thing they are good at doing is making noise and nothing else.

So becos one does not reside in nigeria, the going on's there shouldnt be our concern, what a myopic view, utter rubbish

it's ok to throw questions at this young man, it's even ok not to like him, but it isn't ok to disrespect him regardless of his past or his father's past. nigerians must learn how to respect one another and stop this uncivilized way of thinking.

Are u saying if this dude is guilty of having a sordid past we should accord him respect, am guessing u joined those carrying placard to welcome Alams when he was released,  Kindly speak for urself not all every person will sell their integrity for a pot of porridge

i'll ask her why it's taking long to arrest that public enemy number 1. Mr Ribadu,

Because the Puppets that put her there, are also afraid, they dont know how much dirt ribadu has got on them, hence they r looking for ways to retrieve anything he might have in his arsenal that could be used against them, remember the story of Ribadu's top investigating officer he searched of different occassion looking for dossiers & files,
I guess Ribadu is keeping quiet on those as security for himself, just incase, Also he might not have dirt on them.It could be just a bluff, not so sure they r willing to go do the ultimate and call his bluff
Politics / Re: Atiku To Replace Yaradua? by Moves: 2:17pm On Jan 26, 2009
The Zoning of Presidential Post is a ideal conceived in order to move nigeria democracy in its infancy; uniting nigeria political elites against military rule; hence the 3 leading political parties in the last presidential election presented candidates from the Northern region, It might not be perfect; but it represent a nigerian take on democracy which will in time evolve hopefully for the better,

On Atiku, replacing Yaradua, It will be a shame on the north; and the whole nigerian state, if he is allowed to contest for election talkless of replacing yardua,

1. He is being fingered in the Siemens bribery scandal, atleast if we cant believe Ribadu's EFCC on this guy, are we going to disregard the findings of the US congress and its Investigation.

2. After being Vice President for a period of 8 years, without any progress, and he didnt bring nothing new to the table why would anybody entertain the thought of this corrupt person to replace yaradua, As VP, He cannot but be partly responsible of the activties of the last 8 years as it was Obj & Atiku, not just Obj, Atleast he never disagreed openly on any the activities of the govt when is was VP, save the third term agenda and that was due to his own personal ambition.

Kobojunkie:

As much as I agree that there is the problem of cost and availability, I must add that the ‘educated’ poor would go out of there way to spend money in cases where they know it is in their best interest to. So I am not entirely convinced that cost is the big issue for those who have chosen to wear pumpkin shells and buckets on their heads. I mean, unless the law specifies the tech of the helmets, I would assume they would be overlooked for at least wearing some FORM of helmet their heads while riding. Some of these men have money tucked away to, say pay for their girl friend’s dowry or buy that piece of land they have been eyeing for years. If we push to convince them of the need for a good quality helmet, as against plastic/plant head covering, we might see more and more of them making an effort to change their old ways.

About some chairman taken it upon himself to use this to drum up effort for his cause, I would not put my stock in that at all. We are still talking of Nigeria here where the CHOP-I-CHOP mentality seems the order of the day.

But this is the reason being given in the news; I doubt that these okada riders or their passengers do not see or know the benefit of a helmet; if it is free or cheaply affordable then most people will get one, and there will be no excuse for none compliance
Politics / Re: Help! Lagosians Are In Trouble. by Moves: 1:16pm On Jan 09, 2009
Two Points have been made here are that Helmet is Compulsory and Neccessary, also the Need to educate or inform the public about it need,  The problem here is mainly the Inavailability and Inaffordability of the protective helmet (retailing @N6000) ,  It is a shame that nigerians we fail to see oppurtunities that problems profer, It this case if i was the Chairman or Party Leader of AC in Lagos, what I will do is buy the Helmet in bulk, they can't be more $20 each if buying directly from manufacturer, even cheaper in china, have them customised with my party logo; start giving out to registered okada's two each @ N500, and any memeber of public that wants one pays same amount, my Party get good Publicity, free moving advert; public goodwill problem solved; same goes for the Banks, give it out to their customers with account with them, thus encouraging mostly underbanked okada driver to bank with them; Plus the free Adverts; Same for Telecoms,  hence problem solved, the cost of purchasing this helmet is dwarfed by the benefits to the company.
Also, there are disinfectants specially made for Helmet-- just like the ones made for barber clipper, voila problem solved,

An example is the public smoking den's provided for smokers, nicorete's provides some of this den @ airports, whilst advising their products,
