Redoil:Hmmm maybe somebody want to |
BabsO2:All being equal. 3billion is much but wont ccause a decline in eps or dividends, given the continious growth in profit. |
BabsO2:Minor dilution naa. 3billion unit will be nothing if they continue with their current performance. The likes of UBA, GTB and Zenith would have been recording declining furtunes if not for the exchange rates issues in nigeria. If you convert their results to $ you realise that they have not been doing much for some years now. The law of diminishing returns done catch them. On the other hand, fidelity has alot of space to grow |
yMcy56:Uba dont want to improve on their dividend. Fidelity will soon over take them |
beejay1:Profit after tax and eps reduced. Dividends still .30 |
BabsO2:Aswear. All interim and final dividends need to go up aswell. Inflation is biting hard and the naira has lost alot. For the purpose of foriegn investors, dividends need to go up to meet the devalued naira. |
https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/36715_FIDELITY_BANK_PLC%20_QUARTER_2_%20_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR.pdf Fidelity have joined the interim dividend gang. Nice result Eps from 67k to 80k Interim dividend if 10k. |
ebuka1997:That is how it should be. Once for ever. But sometimes... |
ojesymsym:My brother its not just meristem. But in the case of meristem, i didnt have to fill any form. These things are supposed to be automatic. Does it mean that investors must fill new forms whenever a company changes registrars. Mind you, fbnh is not the first company to change regustrars. Other companies that changed, did not make such demands for new forms. |
sterlingD:Not just that trick. They do it to people who have already filled the form and have even started recieving dividends fron their bank accounts. In my case, my Fbnh had since been mandated and i have beenngetting dividends for over 3years. My Mtn paid me the last dividend without. I have two other stocks that needed me calling. |
Mtn yet to pay since friday. These registrars now have a new trick. They hold onto some investor's dividends despite the whole edividend payment thing. They wait until the investor calls. If the investor doesnt caĺl the dividend remains with them. Meristem did it with my FBNH dividends. When I called, they had virtually no excuse. They just said we will process and pay you. And they paid. If the investor doesnt call, the money goes. They know that many shareholders will not call, especially those residend outside the country who do not monitor their accounts as persons within can do. |
Camoready:their result is yet to be released by CBN. |
OBAGADAFFI:I never see oo. But expecting. My mind was for Monday. Didnt know its today. Thanks bro. Waiting. |
OBAGADAFFI:wetin dey happen. Hope its positive news. Half of my portfolio. |
Lol |
Today is MTN qualification date. Has the shares been marked down for interim dividend? |
Pls why is seplat on full offer. Does it have anything to do with the exxon mobil deal? |
emmanuelewumi:Last year, I lost my phone, before I got home to call my bank, my accounts had all been wiped out. Two weeks ago my cousin was kidnapped, first thing they did was to clear his account. Recall the recently kidnapped actors, account was cleared before anything. Not to talk of fraudsters. I have some investments that can easily be liquidated (including my investment in US $) that has often come in handy. Here in the south east(imo where I stay) its never advised to keep huge cash. Its just too risky. Steady rental, work place, dividend and other incomes have always kept us going. |
emmanuelewumi:But on another note, they declared an interim dividend in july 2021. |
emmanuelewumi:Lol. I no get emergency reserve oh. I love to invest everything. Spread across different options. Its no longer safe to leave money in account. |
emmanuelewumi:October far naa. What shall we eat in September. Mtn already got August. |
Whats up with totalenergies? Good(though flat) result but no interim dividend yet. |
emmanuelewumi:Do they need to buy United Capital? |
Okomu oil did better than MTN, and will pay higher dividend(N10) than Mtn. Qualification and payment day within the same period. Now I dont understand why people are selling okomu at a lower price,(N19 less than opening price) and buying mtn at N14 higher than opening price. |
yMcy56:kudos for ur great effort. I commend mtn registrars. They declare dividend on 29th july, qualification date 18th August, payment date 26th August. Unlike some companies that declare dividend in May, qualification in july and payment in september |
Good result from mtn. Interim dividend of 5.60 as against 4.66 last year. Their eps keep growing by average 30% yearly. |
UACN don declare loss for H1. This company sef. |
Mtn doing 204. Many greens today.
|
Chia. See UCAP at 9.9 This one lost 3naira. Aver 25% in less than 3 trading days. |
yMcy56:Meanwhile Airtel is trying to go over 2000. Now 2025 but without enough quantity to stamp it. Mtn wahala can only be explained by insiders. Its up again, but could still go down. This market no know resistance and support again. Election and global economic factors may be in play. |
yMcy56:Mtn fall started on friday or there about. I just did averaging down sha. Let the result come sowe know if its result induced. The next 3day lots of results will be released. We see how it goes. |
ernie4life:Mtn will end the day on full offer. |
