Mills55: Please is anyone aware of what happened to our first bank dividend ? Checked my balance and noticed that the dividend that was paid has vanished. You are lucky, you got something and it vanished. I got nothing at all. But your bank and Meristem just handed you an opportunity to make some millions. No bank has the power to unilaterally reverse transactions or withdraw money from any customer's account without the consent of the said customer. If you sue, yo go win, and you go win big. |

Slimdove:
To think I will see GTCO at 20.40 again for no reason except foreign investors’ pullback. That’s one good entry opportunity.
Zenith looks great at 21.80 too.
MTN should behave and come within range, 220 isn’t so bad.
WAPCO at 26 is mouth watering.
STANBIC shouldn’t act so tough, 29 is where we need it to be at this time.
Do you see NGX too? 22.20?
Consumers should act accordingly and slide down for a bit - Flourmill, Nestle, Cadbury, BUAFOODS.
Please look out and take these opportunities as they come. I have alot of bias for MTN. I love their yearly growth rate in terms of revenue and profit 30-40% since their issues with buhari. They have also been proactive in maintaining relevance and keeping up with their competitors. The recently launched mobile bank, and their 5g licence is testimony to their positive intentions. HOWEVER, the politics of the day, the global economic movement, the decentralization of mtn shareholding by its parent company, the regulatory issues form our incompetent government especially in the area of nim/sim merger and deactivation and all other selfish and irrelevant policies will surely affect them. Disclaimer: I am heavy in Mtn but not too optimistic. I just dey save for future hoping that a real government will emerge some day. |

DispatcherLagos: LoL.... it's a normal stunt that ambulance drivers performs. Go check the throttle of that vehicle and you will see a stone used in thrusting it hence the movement of the vehicle yes. Very clear from the video that the driver was only performing a stunt. Except if they want us to believe the driver is the corpse |

Mpeace: My brother. Forget it. The country is gone and any lawyer that knows how things work will not even bother suing certain companies. Its no use. Many big companies in nigeria don't obey court orders any more. It started with the politicians and now many companies have joined. I am aware of some companies on NSE that flagrantly disobey court orders even with impunity. Zenith bank is chief, gtb, unity bank. If you are in the system you will understand better. Oando is also one of them, Dang group etc. You sue them its just a waste of money. They comply if they wish to. Except a powerful figure with access to the cabal is interested, that oando delisting judgment stands. Since they installed that new Chief justice things have not been the same. My advice: just play along and pray they adequately compensate the said minorities. As for the 14 so called minorities that instituted the suit, be sure that they have already been adequately compensated. So today, the Chief justice if Nigeria resigns, after all the damage had been done. I think Oando shareholders can appeal that judgment as interested parties. Who knows, they might just stand a chance. |

leparj: Just saw an e-mail from Meristem Registrars(sent yesterday) informing me that withholding tax was not deducted from the FBNH dividend I was paid. That they want to reverse the entire dividend and then pay me the dividend after deducting the 10 % WHT.
Na wao. Is this how these things are done? I thought they deducted the WTH. I have never had this kind of experience. And I have been collecting dividends for over 15 yrs now.
And I have withdrawn the entire dividend and reinvested it by buying more shares. Just replied them so. That it will not be possible for them to reverse the entire dividend cos I have reinvested it. Meristem are not so efficient in handling such a big company like FBNH. First registrars were doing a wonderful job, and had more branches across the country. |

Vaughanlanrewaj: I honestly do not know what is funny o. IST is an equivalent of a High court sir Appeals from IST goes to the the Federal High court. The IST is a tribunal that acts like an inhouse dispute settlement mechanism. Unlike the courts, the I ST is not recognised in the constitution but only a creation of the statute of the national assembly. Its not a court of record. But I am not laughing in a hilarious mood. The laugh is due to the hopelessness of the situation. Lets hope a powerful shareholder fights back. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 4:04pm On Jun 23, 2022 |
Vaughanlanrewaj: My advice for you sir, don't take what you typed up there so serious enough to go ahead and break the law. When you go break the law and bank on people , you will be shocked that when the poo hits the fan, people will abandon you to your fate. MDs of Bank PhB ,Oceanic bank, Intercontinental, Finbank etc thought they were untouchable but today are in disgrace yet it is same institution and patriots who sent them to jail.
Instead of sounding so pessimistic, just add to other creative suggestions by Seunn11
I urge Oando minority shareholders to report Oando, Venus comstruction company, Ocean and Oil , the judge to SEC and petition the Investment and Secuties Tribunal(IST). . Quit the lamentations and pessimism.
Here is the SEC Investor relations number 094621168. Call them , send emails, mobilize , call out that Judge who issued that kind of judgement, report the Judge to NJC, take them all to court of public opinion!Expose those 14 minority shareholders and owners of Nexus Construction. Some of us do not have any country so can not talk down on our fatherland.
If you are conversant with history of legal judgements in capital markets even in Western nations, this kind of strange legal judgement on high stake issues like this should not give you reason to talk down on Nigeria. This is not unexpected but I have absolute faith in SEC and NGx that they will once again beat Oando management to it. Nigerians are not and never stupid. We just do not want Oando, our own indigenous brand dead so we will engage constructively.
May God bless Nigeria for ever . lol. SEC cannot intervene after the court have spoken. SEC can only use its powers to ensure that the court's judgment is carried out accordingly. |

robobo: They know Nigerians are docile set of people. Among the other Shareholders that are being shortchanged would be several lawyers. what stop one or two of them from also approaching a court to get an injunction against the DAYLIGHT ROBERRY they (OODP) intend to perpetrate. and in conjunction with the injunction write several petitions to all necessary state organs (NSE/SEC/NASS e.t.c). Even much more petitioning JSE (so the issue can become international cause most of the institution in country are compromised) because Oando is also listed on JSE. My brother. Forget it. The country is gone and any lawyer that knows how things work will not even bother suing certain companies. Its no use. Many big companies in nigeria don't obey court orders any more. Seunn11: Apparently, 14 minority shareholders petitioned the court asking that OANDO to buy the entire 43% shares of OANDO belonging to thousands of minority shareholders. How stupid could things really get?? And the so called court agreed. If at all the remaining thousands of shareholders agree to this forceful takeover, will they pay the highest share price that OANDO ever recorded?? Impunity. They feel, the ordinary minority won't do anything. |

robobo: no price yet. i guess that wld be determined at the EGM but as a guide, u can take the fact that Mangal was OFFICIALLY paid 6 naira per share for his stake by same OODP in resolving their logjam with him (i.e. Mangal) By then, Oil had not gone to 100+ Seplat was even selling below 500 then. If mangal knew oil would get this high, he for no gree. |
