80% of MTNs cost of operation is in foreign currency. Equipment is bought in foreign currencies, licenses are renewed in dollars, security patches are bought in dollars, some of their contractors are paid in foreign curencies and most importantly, they buy bandwidth from Orange International Carriers(I believe) in dollars.
Yet their figures quarter to quarter continue to impress.
Mtn are simply dominant in the nigerian telecoms market. They somehow find a way of pushing the cost to we the subscribers

At long last, Titan Trust is buying out minority shareholders......
@Mpeace are you still holding unto it? smiley

From my % calculations now,
Bulk purchase from majority shareholders is 89.39%
Minority shareholders: 6.59%
So, 89.39% + 6.59% = 95.98%

Who owns the remaining 4.02% .......Or maybe this was acquired off record. smiley

** For those planning to take part in the Mandatory Take-over @N7, if not already seated in the bus, you have only today and tomorrow to key into it.

GTCO share price currently on a good support @16.85 and a price dip below 15 naira will be "jara"...

grin grin grin grin grin
we wait for the jara. This election is really affecting the market. Seem to me like alot of money will be spent and alot of that will come from the market.
There seem also, to be alot of diplomatic, local and international issues regarding Nigeria. From ethiopia to UAE to USA security directory. These are definitely not the best of times for Nigeria and the market in particular. Governance seem to be suspension at the moment as politics and intenational travels seem to have taken over

Even if USD cease to be d go to currency of exchange, the American Empire will still stand for a very long time. Except in d event of nuclear war but then everyone will be affected.

Do you know why?

Beside its strong sense of unity and patriotism, you should consider technical know-how, institutions and knowledge base which so far is second to none.

Check d top 10 in almost everything that hold financial advantages, USA takes at least 7 spaces out of 10.

1. Ten richest persons in d world
2. Ten bigest companies in d world
3. Ten best Universities in d world
Etc

Then... d vast resources:
1. Largest producer of crude oil
2. Largest producer of natural gas

Tech:
All sophisticated chips on any device can trace back to d USA. That one alone is huge giving dat d world runs on computational devices.
Some times it takes the smallest thing, or one foolish act for all that to disappear.
Maybe the threat of a nuclear war itself.or an epidemic. Who knew about covid before it came

* Listed at a time the market is shedding.....
* Think the best bet now is to wait for it below listing price because e be like say your eyes no commot there.....
* They are still coming to the market to raise capital, there may be some pumping by/before then.....
** Just my opinion. Ote$$'s boys may pump the price**
I left FBNH because of Otedola. I no fit enter any company where otedola has controlling interest.

Last last Gerugu will go like forte oil. They will pump and dump and sell.
I never had an eye on Geregu.

I think Otedola and wale tinubu belong to the same class.

Meanwhile those deceived by MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS are now preaching LONGTERM as if they don't know the meaning of OPPORTUNITY COST.

Well BARGAIN HUNTERS should jealousy guide their FUNDS via MONEY MARKET.
Treasury bill rates is now 12% heading to 20% and forget about those drowning in the ocean of STOCK MARKET.

Currently down on my FUGAZ holdings.
I am a bit liquid and considering my options:
1. Invest in NSE and load more FUGAZ (I wanted to do this but the rate hikes means I only love stocks that give >15% dividend returns)
2. Buy USD (At 720/$, I don't know if this is a good idea)
3. Buy T-Bills and stay liquid
4. Buy Bonds and get ~10% annually
5. Buy Crypto
6. Invest in land/property

Any suggestions? Open for comments

For receiving dividends which is faster?? Sending e-dividend mandate form to the Registrar or taking the e-dividend mandate form to your bank??
Best is to either fill the form online. (Most regustrars now have online platform for edividends). Or contact the registrars on phone or email and have their customer care agent send you the form. Fill it and send back to the particular customer care agent. You will have it process in a matter of days.
Alternatively, if you have shares with any company that is also under the same registrar and the shares have already been mandated, just call them and ask them to link both accounts, without filling any form your shares will immediately be mandated for edividend.
