Can someone tell us why UACN isbonnfull offer this morning? Is the said unbundling now uncertain?
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 3:17am On Jul 01, 2020
Yesterday's fall in prices could be as a result of the SEC KYC update deadline of 30th June. Politicians would naturally not want their share account to be linked by BVN and would rather selloff thus the huge sales of yesterday.
If it continues today then we know its something else.

But stampduty goes to the federal government, so I doubt the impact on the bank would be positive.

UACN UACN. Who knows the game they are trying to play. Or is it a major share holder trying bailout funds for personal problems. Is it the case that he has seen something minority shareholders can't see and thus decided to bail out? Only time can tell what is going on in that company. But for me, I will rather watch by the sideline and learn cos I no too like suspense, definitely not in this corona period.

If its any consolation, the fact that Stanbic nominees, another major shareholder that is know to be frugal in its dealings have not yet started selling could mean that there is no cause for alarm.

UACN is beginning to slide towards N5. The opportunity to invest the proceed from the sale of my land, as well as the dividend I received today from wapco is gradually presenting itself.
UACN announced today that they have fixed 15 of July as date for their AGM. No mention was made of the unbundling in the said notice of AGM.
Does it mean the said unbundling may not go on in July after all?

It did a high of 18.10 on the 27th of May.

You can check your chart sir.
RabbiDoracle:
When Zenith start to trade at N21, GTB at 30 you go still bring your VAP excel sheet and start with your IF.... Then.

Now I ask you again, has the slide to N11.90 started?
meshpips:
I also ask you: Did price touch 18.08?

You can answer for yourself sir.

NOTE: Please don't close your buy position o! Try leave your money where your mouth is.

The lesson will sink real deep when it costs you a bit.
So now that the die is cast, let's see who wins.
Journey to 11.90(I go sell my papa house join zenith) or journey to 21.
Only time.

You have miscalculated. For years UPDCREIT has been falling from its listed price of N10 to current price of N3.10 to N3.30 and it has been selling in this range for months. UPDCREIT will possibly drop much below its current price at the time of unbundling. I wish all these negative info we are now getting about UAC have been revealed to us about six months ago when the hype of the stock was at its highest.
But people here had always talked the fact that there is nothing too special about the stock. But once the mind is made the end is inevitable. There is nothing anyone would have said to make you avoid buying uacn

its either they need money urgently or they have seen something that is really scary. But make no mistake, UACN's and its subsidiary's numbers have been going down yearly.

We cannot say more. Earlier we referred to the"promoters" of UACN and asked what they saw in this thing that they are promoting with vigor but rather than respond, it has been more and more promotion.
Today if it's not bad result from one arm to the other, it is one major institutional investor and major shareholder selling off at loss.
We just watch and see how the story ends

Weak bank acquiring a dead bank. This is will be bad business for their shareholders.
If polaris latest result is anything to go by, then we can conclude that the bank has fully recovered. They reported PAT that is even more than what FCMB and Fidelity reported.https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2020/04/polaris-bank-records-impressive-2019-financial-results/amp/

Very difficult to survive after taking a double portion of local poison!
They might have just done the needful. Going forward, I expect things to turn for the better. They might just churn out some very impressive figures come q2. They have sacrificed a lot. 25-40% paycut, 75%reduction in staff strength and a closure of 346branches. That's something.

Access on air again...to close certain branches...

not verified yet
Long overdue. I once visited Unizik in Awka anambra state, an found it hard to understand why access bank would operate two branches in the same university, with both branches separated only by one building(less than a plot of land from each other) they need to close some branches.

Nobody analysed that Q1 result here.
volume is really speaking on the stock now
Fidelity q1 was not fantastic. But fcmb is still trailing fidelity this morning.
