But I thought the UACN meeting was meant to approve budget for the unbundling. Me think the unbundling will only take place after the UPDC rights issue is listed. The proportion of share to be allotted is already known. So what news are people expecting at the moment? Bet wetin I sabi sef |

Non-interest income came in strongly during the quarter (+60.5% QoQ to N12.3 billion), largely bolstered by reversal of c.N4.8 billion relating to provisions for litigation deemed no longer necessary. Other components of fee income were relatively flat QoQ. Adjusting for the impact of the N4.8 billion litigation-related reversal, which we believe is non-recurring, FCMB would have made a loss of c. N1.5 billion in Q3'19. This is concerning, in our view. https://www.proshareng.com/news/Stock---Analyst-Updates/FCMB-Group-Plc-9M-19---Earnings-Falter,-/48243 FCMB result is not good. But the "promoters" will not let it fall. Not without a fight. |

YourCoffin: He is right though. That is the price they will be listing The problem is not the listing price. Rather, it is "the scheme of the arrangement". What amount of the new entity would be given to ccnn shareholders, ...and what happens after listing, given the 35billion OS. Remember that wapco is a bigger cement company than the new entity, yet market has left wapco at 14. So do the maths |

rebekah2011: The more I look at Transcorp the more I feel for every one of its shareholders. Over 100b in loans as at Q3 and 10b plus in Finance costs. Unless TOE is going to borrow them money to buy that Afam Power, I do not know where the money will come from oooo. I expect CBN to also tighten its regulatory role to ensure that UBA is not further exposed to Transcorp. The majority of the 100b loans must be from UBA. Adding more to it is just too dangerous. The saving grace will be if the FG allows the Power sector to charge cost-reflective tarrifs. people like trading Transcorp because it is a volatile stock that brings short term benefits they completely ignore the long term risks. I am not a fan of debt-riddled companies and I do not know why people love the company so much. It happened to be my very first bad investment. Never going to touch any company with debts. Do you know how much is owed transcorp by the Federal govt and discos? Try find out, then you will see that no genco should be in financial mess. They will surely source money. We no really care where. |
