@Haywhy, Whats the difference between a CULT and a RELIGION? The only difference I see is the established Religions like Christianity,Islam,Judaism,Hinduism etc view the much newer GOD ideas with derision and refer to them as CULTS. All religions no matter how fantastic their claim is,require the believe in a Supernatural Being, must submit to this Being to be regard as a member with the promise of a Great and Fantastic After Life. |
Before the man (husband) married the woman (wife) what did she call him or when he was toasting her what did he say his name was?hussy, sweety or babalakun? just a question |
Daprince, I'm with you all the way,I grew up with my parents living apart they never actually told anyone what drove them apart and we (the children) have learned how to live with the situation.I read that thread about marrying a person from a broken home and all I could say was very typical hypothetical Nigerians. First we have to define a broken home, is it divorced parents, separated or those living together for the sake of their children and with society would say. I have seen that many marriages are in the later category, there are so many couples (parents) who are actually live-in-enemies,they pretend that all is well but when the strangers are all gone, its back to world war 3. Nigerians Are Hypocrites, Thats a fact.If you take a close look are those who condemn offsprings from broken homes, they are also the members who say the would divorce their cheating husband/wife in a heart beat, these people are also the ones who preach the gospel better than Jesus himself. While these members tell you in Religion threads how you should not Judge others as Jesus has come and made everything new but we know better. Personally,I couldn't give a rats a$$ if a girl refuses to marry me because my parents are not living together,I would wish her well and hope hers doesn't break up,making her children the dreaded Children From A Broken Home. Prince, Take easy, people would always have their prejudices regardless. Cheers |
@Members, The original post was not by Man-Eater,she just lifted it from another site.I think she got the response she wanted, especially from the men who all see themselves as the ( Good Men) @Man-Eater, I'm coming across your I.D for the first time and you must have lots of Fans, pleasure meeting you.Now on the issue of "Good Men" the fact is women don't like or want the so called Good Men except when they are reaching menopause and they are looking for a shoulder to cry on. I believe that the writer of that ex-crept must be a Middle Aged Woman, a Born Again Christian, a Repented Feminist, or a woman who must have had a lot of disappointments in her social life. For people cheering the ex-crept,I don't blame them. There is nothing wrong in believing that a woman fall for you because of your intelligence, sense of humour, sense of duty to their fellow humans rather women picking their partners based on the size of their wallet, their Hummer and their big White house |
Pastor Gospelman, I suppose you are one of those "Raking Pastors"!!!! I personally think that this "Raking" is unique to Nigerians churches as its a way of showcasing the powers of the church or the pastor. While I accept that individuals have the right to worship the way they want,my only problem is in a chaotic society like Nigeria this pushing and shoving this is used to brainwash people that they are all possessed by non existant evil spirits, thereby making the delivered person a "slave" of the church,a Tithe Paying Slave. I have seen on TV when the child trafficker Gilbert Deya wave his hand and a room full of people fall over themselves all shaking from the exit of evil spirits,my logic is this, these people go to Crusade after Crusade and everytime some pastor would wave, shout, punch and beat evil spirits from them are these new spirits or old ones that refuse to go after many exorcism? I wait for the day any person would try to punch, slap or shove me because is supposedly in the "Spirit" we both go reach hell that day.Shioo ![]() |
i guess aristoism is refined prostitution, girls just arent standing on the road. I'm not saying its right, but i understand.
So do I, I really do understand. ![]() ![]() |
alabiyemmy:I never said I was innocent, infact I went to church twice last year, once with my "friend" and the other to attend a friends funeral service.am not the church type. |
ROFLMAO , I don laff die.Last year I was invited to a special church service by a married female friend, her husband lives in Nigeria,my friend though we were not official lovers were bedmates. So this sunday morning we got to church after a night of good nacking, before you can say "abacha"my friend was speaking in tongues and delivering members of the church, she is one the prayer warriors in the church,The amazing thing was she would blow hot air in the face of a member and the person would actually fall to the ground, twisting and turning shouting holy ghost fire. I didn't say anything to her after church because man need get some a$$ later.winter was around the corner, |
As a rule, I don't take Private/Unknown callers period! If anyone calls me with a private number I let it ring and ring,if its important leave a message I've got voice mail my mobile phone and landline.Taking private calls is like opening your front door to a man wearing balaclava. |
Seun:True talk, atleast the Ogboni frat don't speak funny made up tongues. |
@Topic, The poster of this topic clearly stated that he was writing from experience and as usual the typical response is the Self Righteous Nigerian reply.I see where he is coming from and any person living abroad must have seen and heard about pathetic stories of relationships between Naija in abroad and Naija back home. This situation is worse for Nigerian women living abroad,a friend of mine who went to Nigeria to marry her sweetheart got her fingers burnt as soon as her man got his papers he changed, got her oyibo friend pregnant, moved out and she is now left holding their baby while Mr Man is jumping from one woman to another,no need to say that she has vowed not have anything to do with Naija men again. She would advice anyone against getting involved with a Naija woman or Man who lives in Nigeria. There are actually a small percentage of happy marriages when people get their wives/husbands from Nigeria, the best option as Radiant said is to marry from your current environment. |
If you have a credit card as you claim then the laptop can only be sent to the registered address. |
Typical Nigerians,as usual instead of talking about the real issues why Nigerians are reluctant to return home, they are taking the soft option of "Nigerians without Passports".If the economic, social situations in Nigeria are so fantastic why then are thousands flocking to embassies in a bid to escape their Fatherland? The estimate of more than a million Nigerians living outside the country, whats the percentage of those that don't own the passport of the host country;even Nigerians living in Ghana don't have passports to return back home to rebuild what they didn't destroy abi? |
Naija4ward, While in Essex a man may have been gunned down for whatever reason at least the Police investigate and they would get a conviction for that murder. A read through Nigerian news sites, you see so many people dieing for stupid reasons,Armed robbers killing dozens,Buses overturning while running away from armed robbers, pastors burning church members, corpse left in the streets and people walk pass it as if its no big deal,Soldiers and Police killing innocent citizens for N20 (naira),thousands killed in religious and tribal riots,Soldiers wiping out half a village off ,need I go on. How is bad things happening in Nigeria lower in Essex?Essex being one of the safest places you can live in the UK |
Thanks guys for stating the obvious reasons why many Nigerians find it difficult returning home after a long stay away from the Fatherland or is it Motherland. For me I think that there many more problems Nigerians face when going back home, these I will state here. Family Commitments: Many Nigerians living the diaspora are not married to Nigerians,it takes a lot of convincing to bring your "Foreign Wife and Children" back home, where a lot of things lets face it don't work. Financial Commitments:Its difficult moving to a country where there a less job prospects than the one you are currently living in,anyone wishing to relocate back would definitely want to get a better pay than the one they are already getting at the moment. An example is in Ireland minimum wage is about €320 a week and you don't get to pay any tax if you earn less than €360 a week.On a minimum wage you save over €10,000 a year if you don't have to send money home. There are so many sad stories of Nigerians who tried to start a business in Nigeria, from corrupt Officials who extort money from you for you bringing in machines you intend to run your business, family members who "419" you of all the little money you have saved over the years, the list goes on and on. There are so many other reasons Nigerians are scared to return home but I still remain an advocate of Returning Home. |
TOH,Radiant, I think that there diffrent levels of cheating,If your partner cheats on you with a stranger or someone you don't know you probably forgive and move on with your marriage but when the cheating is closer to home i'e a relation or a friend then I don't see how you can possibly continue with that marriage. The sense of betrayal would be too much to forgive and am actually speaking from experience. |
shahan:So technically speaking both God and Jesus where in the beginning,if Jesus was and is the son it means that the father existed before the son, because he (Jesus) was begotten by the father (God) which means that before he (Jesus) was begotten he Jesus didn't exit. Its impossible to exist at the very same time your father started his existense Source: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/begat be·get (b-gt) tr.v. be·got (-gt), be·got·ten (-gtn) or be·got, be·get·ting, be·gets 1. To father; sire. 2. To cause to exist or occur; produce: Violence begets more violence. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Middle English biyeten, bigeten, from Old English begetan; see ghend- in Indo-European roots.] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Verb 1. beget - make children; "Abraham begot Isaac"; "Men often father children but don't recognize them" father, sire, mother, engender, bring forth, generate, get create, make - make or cause to be or to become; "make a mess in one's office"; "create a furor" |
Senator, You've grown up very quickly I must say,did I insult you?hell no.It just shows that many people can't handle the truth when others point out the in consistensis in their post. My advice is don't post every little goings on in your life in a pubic forum |
Lordimpaq, AMEN |
One question that has been on my mind for a long time is this 1.If Jesus was at the very beginning;was HE created by God and they both created the universe or did they both just appear from nowhere and Jesus assumed the role of a Son? |
I just got back from the pub,am half drunk from free beer from Man Utd fans, with Arsenal to win at 12/5 and Chelsea at 5/6 -2 goals, made kool €300 from a €5 investment not a bad way to start the weekend.Phew my boys just made me proud, proud to be a Gunner All Hail King Henry de Great. |
@lioness, Can you interpret the "Tongues" you speaker if its replayed to you;or can you interpret when you hear someone speaking in tongues? |
I think that the shouting and screaming in unique to Made In Nigeria Churches,no offense intended ![]() |
Eurphoria:Nope no excuses there, just telling the reality of Nigerian marriages outside Nigeria.A lot of people don't get married because they are crazy in love but what they can get out of it.There is a lot of physical and emotional abuse in Nigerian marriages but very few people would admit it especially if they are religious. |
Danmasani, Ol'boy I don die for laff Tunde indeed!.BTW, I would like to see any experiment where the tapes of Tongue Speaking pastors are played to inspired members and see what kind of interpretations they can come up with. |
Zulu, I think that a lot marriages are infact Marriages of Convenience, people get into marriages in Europe and the US because of papers, loneliness, pressure from friends and family ,financial security etc. |
naijacutee:I know this not a funny thread but ROFLMAO,Maybe the couple are probably going through a divorce and the man is probably about to kick out of his house, which he may have worked for, abroad puts extra pressure on marriages. |
