RomanceRe: Guys Have You Ever Regretted Not Telling A Girl, You Have Feeling For Her? by MrOdyssey(m): 11:38am On Jul 20, 2017
teelaw4life:
Nah...haven't regretted not telling a girl how i feel, but I definitely have regrets about voicing out how i feel about them.
Same here bro. When you grow up with these go-getter mentality you seem to make a lot of mistakes and pill up regrets. there are so many girls i regret ever opening up on my feelings to and dat cost me my self esteem and ego but i have learnt my lesson. never to open up to a girl on my feelings until after a good sex session. that way u eliminate the possibility of getting a negative reply.

Dangote is a private citizen, he is not government, it is not his duty to give Kano state free education
Do you know that Bill Gate has so far donated almost half of his entire networth to charity and he has promised to will out 80% more to charity organisation around the world and we both know how much Nigeria as a nation has benefited from the goodwill of the Gates foundation. Bill Gate isn't the government remember?
Car TalkRe: Has Anyone On Nairaland Used An Innoson Vehicle Before? What Was Your Experience by MrOdyssey(m): 12:25am On Jul 20, 2017

Call me a bigot oh but if u call me one that's ur fucckin opinion. With the behavior of igbos especially those on nairaland they av succeeded in killing innoson themself. They are always insulting other tribe let them buy innoson themself, I'll rather enjoy my, 4matic nd Toyota than buy that shit. I use to encourage people to patronize innoson before I join nairaland but not anymore
Because Igbos do not use Wale Adenuga's Globacom or patronize Dangote Cementhuh

See how silly your analogy sounds.

Mind blowing but the interview was cut rather too short with the intention of taking out some important detail from what Philip Effiong jr said. i support the call for Biafra nevertheless

PoliticsRe: Youths Give Buhari 8-week Ultimatum To Resign by MrOdyssey(m):
Ultimatum flying left,right and centre.

I don't see Buhari resigning for any reason even as the country keeps tilting towards disintegration with every passing day.

Just the other days the Northern youths coalition issued a threat of war if for any reason, power is taken from the north. if you put 2 and 2 together and make an intelligent calculations it will dawn on you that there is nothing left to salvage here cos either way it's still spiralling down to a breakup.

if PMB recovers, return and continues as the president he will definitely keep giving secession seekers reasons to keep up with their agitation with his toxic ulterances and body language and even go further to earn them more supporters and sympathisers with the present outcry of hunger and economic hardship all over the country and if he dies then the northen youths (as usual) will go through with their threat and eventually throw the fatal punch that will finally lay the struggle for a united Nigeria to rest.

Now which is a the worse crime amongst the trio?.

if you ask me who i go ask but i'm pretty sure Drug peddling isn't atleast it rakes in millions of cash and only the peddler is affected in the long run unlike the others.

This is one of the ironies of life.

All of a sudden, a northerner is being accused of "fanning the embers of disunity", smh.

Where were all these Ohanaeze, Ndigbo and all those related organisations when the deported semi-literate monkey ordered the killing of any Hausa and Yoruba in sight?

Where were they when he was threatening to "bring down the zoo"?

An expression which has become a household Mission Statement among the keke drivers and truck pushers parading themselves as ipork touts?
I quite agree with you that Nnamdi Kalu has erred but remember he was arrested;held in custody for over a year and he is currently facing charges on treasonable felony.

Now why are the northern youths who issued these threats still walking freely?

it goes to show the bias, injustice, nepotism and favouritism that has bedevilled these nation.

AgricultureRe: Agriculture Is Not The Magic Solution - By Simon Kolawole by MrOdyssey(m): 9:49am On Jun 18, 2017
jagugu88li:
I had earlier on spoken about value adding....this is a result of that. They only produce raw material and the business day is closed.

******************
Urbanisation has a hand in the lost agricultural value. But I can't blame the government for urbanisation. Urban areas provide many potential advantages for improving living conditions through the economies of scale and proximity. At the end if the day you all want good services, white collar jobs and maybe street lights. Truth be spoken, it has become the in-thing causing so many agricultural activities to be abondoned. Also, Ameriacas John Deere's introducing of one-man-operated machinery has caused many to lose jobs. Therefore, altenative methods of employment are needed but feeding still has to take place. As I said before, for exporting to take place specs have to be met.

Coming back......lets take Asia's rice as an example where population and maybe export specs hinder agricultural explosion.

Level 1
These countries are self-sufficient in rice and are good export markets worldwide.... Japan and Korea. Both are industrialized with rooftop earnings. The problem is they are chasing numbers (demand) of both their land and export and therefore tend to use heavy chemicals as means of increasing production....bad. Decreases their export value....even though they do very great, they could do better. Population and Export Specifications

Level 2
These ones mostly cater for inland domestic needs (Thailand and Vietnam) but, they also target export markets with their surplus....bad. First you export the best there is and then the leftover is sold inland. Their problem is mostly post harvest activities like distribution in relation to the export market and that they tend to mind the inland production specs whilst producing.....failing to meet the export specs. They end up losing and unable to cover production and labour cost for the coming season. Export specifications and population.

Level 3
These ones are as polulated as hell (dont ask me grin) and so they are forced to feed themselves before anything. Mind you, most of the farmers have abondoned their farms and urbanisation is the result. Now, here we have a problem of an inability to calculate and balance between demand to supply because most farms are stand alone farms....as opposed to large firms. Indonesia and Bangladesh have the natural resources but again.... urbanisation. I can agree with you that the system is faulty, given what is happening in these countries. The government together with the farmers simply do not service the irrigation systems or care to build new ones (rice is only produced under certain types of water)....This is because of the lack of reaources caused by 1. Poor governance 2. Urbanization which if not, would have ensured agricuture strives 3. Lack of communication chanels between government and the people. These farmers are every year left with so much suplurs but obviously cannot export it because they never even focused on that in the first place. Governement, illiteracy and my left leg.
I must confess that i like the way you speak. you kinda argue out your points precisely and intelligible (the quote was long sha but i managed to eat it all up. #wink).

i'm starting to see it from your angle.
I'll like us to discuss more on these and perhaps become friends. i just sent you a PM. check your mail.

Good morning.
AgricultureRe: Agriculture Is Not The Magic Solution - By Simon Kolawole by MrOdyssey(m): 3:55am On Jun 18, 2017
jagugu88li:
I think it is a matter of population and greed bro. See this....Asia produces more than enough but first has to feed the citizens before supplying for the export market. And their polulation is way above way....... Loss. Meaning they compete amongst the greatest food producers but fail when it comes to exporting.....where the money is

SA produces just enough but the problem mostly is that the export specifications are forever altered by these hungry westerners, making the returns less than -. Its every farmer's nightmare
I beg to disagree with you dear. it not a population explosion issue. remember the higher the population, the bigger the workforce and the larger the market. African and of course Asia has all it takes to take over the worlds food production. we have the land space, labour, market;capital. c'mon mention one factor of production we lack except of course human ingenuity and innovation. I stand solely with the OP on these one.

We are nothing but slaves in the hands of the west.

perhaps you need to see these video to really understand where i am coming from.

AgricultureRe: Agriculture Is Not The Magic Solution - By Simon Kolawole by MrOdyssey(m): 5:37pm On Jun 17, 2017
As funny as it may sound Africa And Asia seem to be the world's farm. They produce the raw material for virtually all the food consumed around the word but.

These two continents hold the position of the poorest continents in the world.

Trully, who Agriculture alone don epp.
